Giddy was being let out of work early. He was not going to complain, it was a lot of work being a... what is the proper term for the sort these days. Human resource worker? Yeah, that sounded pretty good, someone that makes a commodity of humanity and sells people and their services as a good.
Serena accepted a pocketful of candy that he gave her from one of the sealed packages of treasured candy he had brought with her. Candy earned by Serena's and Juniper's hard-earned efforts. She was nice enough even if she seemed to have a problem with handing out mixed signals. No wonder she was dateless for the ball.
She would wander off, his confectionary parting gift in her possession. He was satisfied with his partial refund. A true Hufflepuff, all he wanted was some spare sweets to share. He had a lot of candy on his person still. His talk of candy drew in additional 'customers'. OK, perhaps customers was a bad choice of wording. They were erm... connections? No, that did not work either. He adjusted the crown on his head with his fingers, the flap still open on his messenger bag.
“Excuse me? Ah, wait, excuse me?”
A girl approached him. Gideon would turn his head to take the girl in. He did not know her but in his defense he did not know mo0st of the student body. he just knew she was foreign because of her (presumed) accent. It was a bit hard to understand but from the tone he assumed a conventional greeting. "Hi!" He would reply brightly. he knew how to smile and he gave the two girls a wide smile.
“You said you could give them to everybody, no? Well…”
He caught the word give and everybody. There was this weird placement of no. He was still pretty bad with the double negatives making a positive business. Lena would gesture to herself and her friend. He was not quite getting it.
“...we have, ah, now been witness to your…"
He was not sure what they were getting at so he looked at the two of them blankly.
"...harrassment of that girl. So you must give us the sweets.”
"Oooh...." he announced out loud. "I am sorry but I am not accepting any additional dates, you both look very lovely I am certain I am the one to be missing out." He did not believe everything he said. "The deadline for applications was last week,"[/b][/color] he quickly explained. He shifted the candy in his satchel, there was the partially exhausted bag he had offered Serena as part of her partial refund. "While I cannot alleviate your loneliness or the social stigma of being dateless, I can offer you a minor consolation..." He opened the cellophane a bit more and removed one of the bags of contraband from his satchel and gestured that they should open their hands. "Candy?" he announced, well offered as he started to pour the freshly opened treats into their possibly waiting hands. A generous sum for the both of them. They would not be thanking him later for their tummy ache but they would forget all about not having a man for the evening.

Halloween seemed to be a rotten time of year for a holiday that gave out free candy. Something so sweet and innocent had left dark marks on Galton, even if he didn't fully comprehend them. It had been two years since his coronation, and let us pray to Merlin that he would not be returning to that forsaken kingdom. And he needed to keep others from that kingdom, whether he knew it or not.
Galton the Glorious and Hugh the Heavy would be back in action tonight. There were urgent matters that called for their attention. It was time for him to figuratively don his armor and ride out into the night. He may be blind to what was needed, or what was happening, but that didn't matter. He knew there was something about a mirror and something about slugs. They needed to save another student. One of the first Galton ever interacted with here at Hogwarts, Serena Towers Erin Ryan. Dirt Danger and Galton the Glorious were forming into one.
Tonight was the night. Galton was ready. He threw on a festive looking robe, one that allowed him to take full advantage of his spry reflexes. Something he might have worn to dueling practice. Sure, others would be in their usual muggle fasion, and he might stand out a tad, but that didn't matter to him (not like Galton ever put much thought into his fashion choices). His feet wore a pair of versatile light boots, and his wand hung around his neck as usual. He was ready.
As he strutted onto the grounds he began scanning for Hugh the Heavy. Look for the shiny helmet - there wouldn't be many others wearing a helmet around here - and head to that. He would just have to hope Hugh had found Erin. Please, let Hugh have found Erin. She would get to have her fill of candy today, just like all the others here.
When he arrived, it took him a moment to take full stock of the situation. Jürgen Hess, one of Galton's best friends, was pointing his wand towards Erin. It seemed to be a misunderstanding though. He seemed to be defending Hugh, which was a valiant thing to do. Galton would pull his wand from his neckline and ready it in his palm.
"Jürgen! What are you doing?! Put the wand down." Galton would try to move himself in front of Hess. "Or, at least point that thing out there-" the boy pointed his small hand out at the crowd that already seemed to be falling into a frenzy. "Dirt Danger and Heart Breaker need to team up once again."
He would turn to address Erin. "You'll be fine. We'll get through this." He would add a small nod as he turned back to Hess.
"Whatever you're thinking, Jürgen, you gotta trust me." He would plead with the boy. Galton may have been one of the most unreliable friends possible, but he treasured the friendships dearly. And he didn't want to need to raise a wand against him. But if need be, the duelist would do what needs to be done.

"Drew!"
"Cass!"
"Ro!"
"Race you three to the disaster ball!"
Charles called out to his friends dressed in a yellow power ranger costume that matched with the others power ranger costumes. The Dumstrang still was confused about the concept but still agreed since he thought thr idea was cool and naturally the blonde choose yellow since he thought it complemented his curly blonde hair.
"Ayu, get on and we'll beat all of them," Charles called over to the youngest member of the group as he felt her jump on his back before passing her the bag that carried his wand and water bottle. Charles wasn't going to let another potion infused drunk ruin his night that time....
Charles ran into the ball with Ayu on his back, the blonde's helmet on to hide his face and identity from others who knew or didn't knew him as he kept a eye out for his boyfriend and fellow Dumstrangs.
Smiling under the helmet, Charles titled his head back a little as he spoke" and we are the champions," sliding along the floor a bit doing some low-key dance moves with the young on his back.
Charles only knowm Ayu for a short period but instantly he liked her and almost felt like she needed protection since she's the youngest and shortes of the group, although the Dumstrang would still continue to tease Cassie about her height and age. That was just how Charles was.
Charles looked at the entrance, curious where the other three were ad he waited for them with Ayu on his back when a odd but curious sign caught his eyes.
Eel catching? Sounds dangerous and not the smartest thing to do which meant sign Charles up for it! The blonde inche closer to it as he waited for the rest of the group.

Roleplaying as iNPC Celeste LeblancLuckily, Celeste was not skulking in the shadows for long before a familiar figure plastered in mud sidled up to her - her only friend, Lena Martins, also from Beauxbatons. Celeste tried not to turn her nose up at her friend's unfortunate choice of clothing, and, unfortunately, wasn't sure why it had come as such a surprise to her - Lena had never dressed quite what Celeste would describe respectfully, often choosing to stick to loose, rather masculine clothing which Celeste couldn't spot the appeal of at all. Generally, Celeste would choose to stay far away from girls with this kind of dress sense, but Lena Martins was different. Out of everyone in the world her own age, Lena was the only one Celeste truly felt she could get along with - and so, the young elite had to put up with her friend's questionable choice of clothing. Having said that... this was a ball... and, clearly, Lena had not taken that into account when choosing her clothing. "I thought it was going to be me who looked the most out of place," said Lena, between muddy, one-shoed hop.
Celeste ignored the remark about looking out of place - looking out of place in this way was a good thing, a dignified thing; looking out of place in that way was - well, significantly less so.
"And might I ask why you only have one shoe on?" drawled Celeste, rolling her eyes in what she hoped was an affectionate manner. "What is this? The new fashion statement from Lena-land?"
Celeste caught sight of her friend eyeing the debacle she had just left: the small boy still, to Celeste's disgust, pursuing the older girl and paying no heed to Celeste's "advice" whatsoever. "You've gotten into a fight already, then?" asked Lena. "Who were you terrorising?"
"Fight? Terrorising?" asked Celeste, with a frown. "I am Celeste Félice Leblanc, not a terrorist." Some might suppose those two terms to be interchangeable, but Celeste tended to ignore those people. They just didn't understand the true essence of Celeste. Her eyes followed the boy as he continued to pursue the girl, this time, bribing the girl with sweets, Celeste noticed, with revulsion. Eh, the second-year thought to herself, I might as well leave it. That girl looks a lot older than me anyhow; she ought to be self-sufficient. Just as she was about to turn to Lena and change the subject, her friend spoke, much to Celeste's disappointment.
"You could give them to everybody, no?" asked Lena, gesturing to herself and Celeste. Horrified, Celeste tried to butt in, but Lena continued. "We have, ah, now been witness to your... harassment of that girl. So you must give us the sweets." Though Lena said most of the sentence in English, the word 'harassment' was spoken in French, and Celeste found herself wondering why her friend didn't know that word. Wasn't it a relatively commonplace piece of vocabulary? At least, Celeste knew how to say it in every language she knew, apart from Arabic, which she had only recently begun learning.
"No, no," Celeste butted in, "I won't be taking any, thank you."
"Ooh," the boy replied, "I am sorry but I am not accepting any additional dates, you both look very lovely I am certain I am the one to be missing out. The deadline for applications was last week. While I cannot alleviate your loneliness or the social stigma of being dateless, I can offer you a minor consolation... candy?"
This was too much for Celeste: she blew up as the stranger began pouring a sizeable amount of sweets into Lena's palm.
"Date!" Celeste cried, with a half scream. Date! You think we want to date you, you obnoxious, snivelling little piglet? Let me tell you a little piece of information about me," she said, grandly. "I would not date you if you were the last person alive. And I am sure the same applies to almost everyone in this world. So I suggest you need to take a good look at yourself, young man, and make some significant changes to that personality of yours." Haughtily, she turned to Lena, hoping her friend would notice Celeste's indignance at her acceptance of the sweets.STATS

Quinn had been looking forward to this night for two reasons. One it was another chance to go decked out in yet another nice suit he begged his grandfathers for and had to work his butt off for. Two it was almost his birthday! He was more than excited really. He took extra care this year to look like a proper gentleman.
Dressed in his black suit, he kept his hair worn down and tied in a half part. He took an extra hour to shave and make his beard look very presentable. More tips his grandfather wrote him along with some sketches he sent. Gotta thank him when he visits home. Making sure his other grandfather's silver pocket watch was secure. He walked out to go meet one of his best friends Rosie Parker.
He was saddened that Nico could not attend for personal reasons but was also happy that Rosie agreed and Nico was okay with it. That would have been a hard sell if she didn't agree to at first. But alas as he met with Rosie and then traveled with her to the festival. He took notice of her dress which was very flattering and how happy she seemed. It was going to be a good evening, hopefully he could go 2 for 2 with the fun factor at a ball for a change.
"Aye Ro. I'm super excited too!" He knelt down in front of his friend so she wouldn't have to crane her neck considering he was close to 10 feet in height now. With a goofy smirk he booped her nose and looked around, "So! What sort of trouble should two friends get up to?"

Howard walked from the castle onto the grounds side by side with Millie. He was still unaware of how many besides himself that knew this was Alan in disguise, but the festive air of the night and a couple sips of fire whiskey flushed any worry from his mind. The pair had chosen to keep it casual, with Millie in yellow dungarees and Howard in his school uniform minus the robe. The only thought put into it really was he wore one of his yellow ties to match.
Soon enough they would make their way into the festival area. Their plan to keep to themselves and observe was easily put into action as they walked in between the various groups of gathering students. The only thing to break their stride was random moments of pointing out a nice piece of decoration, but for the most part they would just stroll and share friendly chatter as they took it all in.
It was perhaps odd for Howard to have such a calm demeanor about him, but that was one of the things that he adored most about his friendship with Alan. Even with his metamorphmagus skills on full display there was something about his presence that set the Dhampir at ease. A state of mind that often avoided the teenager. As they walked his red eyes would occasionally wonder to find familiar faces. They passed Serena who seemed to be quickly walking away from some blonde haired first year Howard didn't know. A quick thought would run through his mind as he wondered where he stood with her. Howard had felt so many things towards the girl. A hard crush the summer before. A strong feeling of friendship even thought they weren't particularly close and a desire for her approval. A slight twinge of embarrassment and shame as he had shared with her his darkest thoughts and feelings. However, he would let those feelings wash over him and with a shrug they would drip away.
Moments later his red orbs would spy another familiar face. Erin Ryan was standing near, no behind Hugh Lowe. A quick moment of shock would cause his eyes to budge as he took her in. The deterioration that he had seen in her before had rapidly progressed. Perhaps he should have done more for the girl. Howard had no love for Erin, but they had been through a lot together. There was just this way of life where the mind would push such terrible things away. It would rationalize his failure to act. Surely someone else would do something or the adults would handle it or she'd just...get better. His next few strides would bring him closer to Millie as he again pushed these thoughts away. The darkness that surrounded Erin matched the streak that lived within him. No, not now. Another shrug and he walked on.
A flash of green would draw the attention of almost everyone, Howard included. None other than Thomas Lestrange was wielding wands and kissing girls. Not only that but he was flanked by Falentra. A girl Howard could still not look at without a flutter through his guts. It was strange to see them both in this moment. Thomas had been many things to the Dhampir. A potential buddy, an enemy as dark forces pitted them against one another, one of his most favorite punching bags. Chaos surrounded the younger boy just as it did with Fal. What a mix of emotions as he briefly looked her over. A longing, but also the desire to run away. An urge to pull her close while also wanting to push her away. The love he had once felt for her had quieted from a raging boil to a lukewarm bath, but he could not trust himself to such influences. Now he would lay a hand on Millie's shoulder as they continued on. An invisible shield as that allowed any turmoil to wash away. Again, a shrug and Howard would carry on.
A night of rife with potential disaster and chaos should have drawn Howard like a moth to flame, but this particular evening came at defining time in the young man's life. An old and heavily used metaphor, but one that fit, he stood at a crossroad. His decisions and actions over the next few years would shape the rest of his life. A path so long overcast by shadows now had a hint of light at the end of it. This evening he would do something that might surprise most. Nothing......for now.

This was his third year at an exchange to Hogwarts. By now he would have gotten bored of the place, a castle dusty and in need of a good renovation. The weather and some of the accents of those around were inherently ridiculous. But if it weren't for the drama, girls and his betrothed, Hadrian would not have boarded the ships to spend another half a year at the school. He was here now, and it would not be like him not to attend another ball.
Fashionably late, in all his glamour of a suit that reflected the dim orange glow of the Halloween themed lighting hung around the vicinity. Mud and branded leather shoes were not good friends. Hadrian would be extra careful as he trudged around. Meeting up with his betrothed would be expected, by his parents and everyone who knew about the arrangement, however, Hadrian would not glance around to search for Aurelia. If she did not want to appear before him, it would not bother him in the slightest. They've established their terms.
He wouldn't say he was that late to the party, the green flashes of spells would catch his attention. Had the drama started already. Nevertheless, none of his business - for now. Instead, his attention would linger on to a nearby conversation, a corner of his lips lifting in slight disgust at the boy's @Nicholas McCowan outfit. Not to mention the accent. Over the years, he had worked on washing the subconscious discrimination against those not of pureblood away, but this... How ever did the boy get the attention of such a lovely girl next to him, he could not fathom. Then again, the other boy had spoken on unsophisticated violence on the girl's behalf.
"Couldn't get yourself an outfit for the occasion?" Hadrian would interrupt what ever conversation ongoing between them. "Quite an insult to your lovely date, here. No offence, really." Typical Hadrian, as blunt as always. "Hadrian Zuheir," he would extend his arm towards @Aurora Ranveir in a slight bow towards the much shorter girl, his voice silky as he introduced himself.

The month of October had come and gone, and with it fleeting thoughts from an aged, autumn-stricken tree. These were unable to be cradled for long or remembered moments later, as the breeze would always brush them just beyond his fingertips when he distinguished their distant silhouette from a low-soaring crow. Colors were a grand wonder to these passing sentiments, the most he could ever make of them against the solid teal horizon. Some were more morbid than others, those darkly toned leaves that turn to dust in your hand with the slightest touch, their remnants sticking to your skin as a whisper of mortality to be dusted off. Oh, but that would linger through life; it was the sun-kissed leaves clinging to weak branches that wouldn't, this blinding hope that flowed through their stems, it was that which would have ephemerality come collect its debt. Autumn paled in comparison to the transient seasons of his own conscience.
There was a lot of thinking nothing between the days and nights; it was an eerie, depressive, and strangely grey time of year for the way the world sprouted colors rarely seen in any other quarter. It couldn’t be put any other way except that barren limbs could pluck at tuneless heartstrings and at least make a sound. Should they be ruffled by the viridescent verdure of summer, he'd only ever feel a light tickle. The limits of a flesh prison were not solely in the blood he shed, but in the youth that seeped from his pores and the sympathies his veins were drugged with. Unfortunate, but coming to a close as purpose rang again. Levi was happy to put an end to this not only as the number climbed up toward reset but as the fall ball fell into his hands, bringing with it the presence of Evelynn Decipio.
Tonight, beneath a speckled sky, the heavens danced only for her. Tonight, a beautiful girl became timeless. She was fitted in the ruins of an era long before theirs, as though she had twirled through the thin fabric of infinity and woven dated decades together into a faded white dress. A cloak was draped over this creation of age, but each time it fluttered from the fiery ground they walked upon and revealed the jagged gown beneath, even from its tattered ends Levi was mesmerized. Evelynn existed with a grace that knew no bounds, for here she was just barely older than he with the posture of a dead princess resurrected. She could run down a spiral staircase, swarmed by moths that released her hair from its bands strand by strand, and the brunet would tumble after her, land on his sunken, bruised knees, and beg.
“I admire your creativity with the idea, I’d be a fool to let that slide,” He replied, glancing over at his date with an appreciative mien. She, of course, would gaze right into the top of his epitomized absurdity. It’d been no easy task to conform with her idea.
If reincarnation existed—and Levi was quite certain Evelynn was walking evidence that it did—she had been someone noble in a past life, perhaps hundreds of people as far back as unrecorded history where her influence couldn’t be credited, but it lived on through the testing centuries. An oral tradition, Dickinson in her prime, a tale spun in a web of syrupy nostalgia and esteem. She was the reason for something, perhaps millions of somethings, and when their eyes met, time spun backwards, a tock tick clanging in his head like an alarm. In ways he was grateful those moments were few and far between, so he was not rendered a mere child by the night’s surrender.
Standing in the shadow of her soul and its wear and tear had its drawbacks. When she proposed their theme, to say his jaw dropped did no justice to the amazement he faced, the awe for a girl who was willing to walk backward into war to be true to inspiration. It was beyond his comprehension because in this spiritual regard their age difference was a glimmering sun to a half-melted candle. Those nothingness days passed the brunet by before his garments were set in stone, parallel to hers in that they could be handsome if not drenched in folly. Like his auburn-haired date, there was a noted charm to the final product unveiled on the ball’s fated evening, a classiness to be found in a simple black tux. His crowning jewel, a top hat that closed the significant gap between their heads, was matched by hers, a bizarre skull protruding from the velvet cloak. As strange as it was to gaze at with the flicker his irises wouldn't suppress, even monstrosity was no match for timelessness.
"Although I suppose I must apologize… I suppose I was expecting more... creative liberty among the rest. In intending to blend in, I may have caused us to stand out..." He wondered if this meant he would get to take off the stupid hat. He would not test this theory now.
Levi couldn’t stifle a chuckle, staring out into the crowd as they arrived at the festival’s entrance, washed in plaid and homely yet formal clothing. “I don’t expect you to apologize for being a visionary.” His tone was lighthearted, perhaps a subtle note of gentle teasing humming beneath the words, yet this didn’t offset the genuine way he expressed himself. He was born to be trusted in some ways. “Come, let’s just say we’re setting an example.”
As the two stepped within the confines of the festival, Levi was swept away in the alluring whimsy that had rippled across the Grounds in a kaleidoscopic wave. A setting, pleasant as it may be on a casual windy afternoon, that often hung his silver chain on a deadly hook, allowing his grim mind to watch the drifting thoughts and become locked on those held together by nothing more than solitude. Instead, he was wrapped in a glittery jump rope, and frames of his rhapsodic starlight herself, @Winnie Harper, helplessly rolled in a montage in the back of his mind. It was her paradise as he imagined it. Riddled with nature, a birthplace for organic magic, and a true symbol of the zest of the harvest rather than the gossamer curtain between life and purgatory of October.
For a single off-key beat, his glare had locked upon @Mathias Pride. Multiple promises had been made to the logs and to what remained of his morality, as thin as the tongue and pen that swore them may be: this ball would not be a repeat of the spring. The sole similarity to be drawn, each time Levi would be wary of the copper-haired boy’s presence, fully aware of the danger that lurked. This round, however, should a threat of any kind rise like the sea's recession, Levi would not be hesitating to draw his wand and go down with a fight. Honor is not lost when you don’t throw the first punch—only if you fail to throw the last.
Evelynn spoke up, nodding her skull-covered head toward a buzzing flurry of students easing out of the area. Her hand had fallen to stall by her side, a gesture which did not go unnoticed by her reasonably paranoid date, and one that would drive him to let his own digits graze against his pocket. “We can if you like. I don’t mind staying for a moment,” His hazel gaze flicked back to Percematt and the flock of sheep surrounding him and submerging him in chorus, “There’s a lot to see here.”

The bracelet on his wrist was made by her. No one could possibly make her happier that night. Who could have thought, the grumpy Nicholas could be extremely sweet. The champagne rose shade on her face was unanticipated, probably would be tattooed on both of her cheeks until the night is over. Just a little touch on a hand, and it felt enough. Neither of the kids admitted their true feelings to each other. Though, it seemed unnecessary since anyone could see her tremendous adoration towards him.
“What do you want to do?”
Lightly brushed her thumb over his knuckles, “I’m actually not sure” Sir Nicholas, I want to try out the matchmaking booth. It’s urgent.
The frog choir was performing as they spoke, the talented people featuring their cute toads. Whoever had the idea to start such an amazing extracurricular was a genius.
“Y-yeah.. but I’m not performing because of the ball preparation, I just- I just don’t want to get in the way of them practicing.” But wait, how could he possibly know that? Sure she talked a lot for an introvert, and that small detail could slip away easily. If that was the case, the fact that he remembered such a tiny thing about her could set her heart on fire. “How did you kn-know?”
The downside of having too many punching targets was not being able to choose who would be the most deserving. First, that Swedish monochromatic boy. My God he’s annoying. Flirted with two girls at the same time, including her best arch nemesis. The reason why she disliked him so much was basically without any reason. It could be his remarks about her hair, or just merely his entire smug face and existence. Then, Nicholas pointed out a devil in disguise. The psychic Jerkemy. This definitely had an underlying issue. His pureblood supremacy behavior, the way he dehumanized Winnie just because of her blood status put his name in her naughty list with multiple red underlines. Unlike that Pericles’ doppelgänger, she wasn’t able to succeed in her groin attack which still haunts her every night. It became one of her life goals, her bucket list. Things to do before she died, kicking Jerkemy’s nuts in a full force barrage. One thing that held her back was the boy beside her. She wasn’t there alone. If her impulsive decision won without asking for Nicholas’ consent, she would drag him into a mess he shouldn’t be in. Worse, he could get hurt.
She nodded in approval and squeezed his hand a little. “Nick, uh- do you mind if I redo it again? I missed the first time and I don’t think I will die in peace knowing the fact that I failed to restore humanity.” What a dramatic little cockroach. But really, that person and his little army would destroy every good thing that should be existing. “Okay that’s extreme, I just want to rip his gnome, not literally. But there’s a scary looking girl, I don’t know if she’s dressing up as a swamp creature or that’s just how she looks like most of the time and I know she’s the Slytherin’s star beater, her name is, uh-“ Aurora made that look that meant ‘don’t look at that direction’ just in case she would notice that they were talking about her. Very settled, Nick would probably miss the sign. He wasn’t that bright when it came to figuring out this particular Ravenclaw. “-Evil, no, Emily, no, E something Brainy, and to be honest, she’s scary. And if she’s on that fortune teller’s side, I am screwed.” Erin Ryan. The one that could knock someone off of their broom in one hit, an obnoxiously strong person, her muscle must be made of vibranium. “B-but it’s fine if you’re against it, I mean, I c-could do it some other time.” Revenge was not important right now, all she wanted to do was to have fun with him and leave the ball without a single scratch both physically and mentally. If fate will cross their way together again, that gnome of his would be gone from the planet surface at last. Maybe not tonight, but someday.
Dear god, why can't people stop being annoying? Just as she was about to spare the life of her two foes, yet another tall person she wished to evaporate as soon as he opened his mouth had the dauntlessness to butt in the conversation. The biggest sin he could possibly commit was insulting the flannel king, Nicholas McFlannel or in this case, Aurora’s date. “Excuse you unknown person, he-“ She gestured at the beautiful human being beside her, “-looks awesome, you, on the other hand, just stole a skin from a poor snake and not in theme, therefore, you’re banned, byebye.” And just like that, Aurora waved the flower she got from Nick in front of the stranger’s face and would move away from the guy who thought he was all that. Or, if Nicholas wanted to see the frog choir instead, she would gladly follow.

This was not the response the aristocratic boy had expected. No, not at all. At the very least, she would take his hand to shake, but that, she would not do either. Instead, the girl would deliver an insult, words a tad bit too sharp, enough to poke a little hole in his ego. Despite his introduction, a step to acquaint, instead he would be brushed off as an 'unknown person'. Rude, hadn't her parents taught her some manners? Or, Hadrian would think: a muggle, most definitely. Even her speech, despite carrying the accent of posh English, the eloquence she spoke with was entirely minimal.
The girl had fallen from his good graces. There were very, very few people who had the privilege to criticise him without fault, one being his mother. Hadrian never held his own tongue. "He, looks terrible with no sense of style. Either you have given him such an undeserving compliment out of pity, or you undeniably have a bad taste in both the opposite gender and..." Hadrian's narrowing glare would tilt down to the ground - her feet. His ken doll-like lips once again, curling. "-in shoes. I would compliment you on your scullery maid Halloween costume if it weren't for those plastic flip-flops of an eyesore."
Hadrian was far from done. "I might also add, darling, that this suit, may as well be worth more than your entire childhood." By now, a venomous smirk would play on his visage. Any disrespect towards him should only be countered at a minimum of threefold.
