Just when Griseldis thought that it was going smoothly for the Gryffindor team, things quickly took a slightly different turn in the next round. Although, it shouldn't be a surprise because seekers would always the ultimate target to get rid of in a Quidditch. Catching the golden Snitch would mean game over for that rival team. It was only a matter of time when the Hufflepuff Beaters finally started to hunt down their own seeker, Evelynn.

She could only helplessly watch as one of the Hufflepuff Beater did a backbeat at their seeker and the other giant one made the final blow to knock her off the broomstick. Luckily, one of their most talented Chasers, Ana was ready to save Evelynn from the fall before she could hit the ground. Letting out a relief sigh, then turned to glare at the first Hufflepuff Beater who attacked Evelynn. Griseldis decided to take the "threats" out of the game as soon as possible in order to increase her team's morale.

Griseldis returned the same favor at her rival Beater with a Gryffindor style backbeat, and grinned proudly when she successfully knocked the Hufflepuff Beater off her broomstick. However, one of their own teammates saved her just in time. Not doubting that her fellow Beater would attempt to aim at them, but then she noticed Suzuki hesitated for a short moment, as if being distracted by something unpleasant and unfortunately missed. "Hey Suzuki, are you ok? Don't worry about it, we still have a lot of chances as long as the game is not over yet!", Griseldis tried to cheer Suzuki up a bit and hopefully her Beater partner was not disappointed for failing an aim.

There was a part of Howard that wished these goals he was scoring were contested. That competitive streak that wished to outperform his opponent. It was what he had been prating so hard for had it not? However, besides the mishandling of one of his shots, the easy points for Hufflepuff would hopefully keep the pressure up on Gryffindor. Other than that the only other action was between the Beaters as the fouls and bludgers dominated the pitch. Fortunately Ami would be caught by Rosie and no other Badger would fall. Howard read the signal from his captains and prepared for the next round of battle.

Vivian was engrossed in the match that blinking started to displease her. The only hitch was that she couldn't view the precise happenings in the air from the ground even tho she tried to adjust her eyes by widening and squinting the whole time. She regretted not having an omnicular with her and not bringing the binocular to the school. Well, realising it was of no use to worry about something that she has no control over, she concentrated on the vague information and connected the dots.

The score hadn't changed. Neither did the amount of blatches. It seemed everyone was in the mood to cheat and ram into others very nastily. Or maybe there was some pact between Gryffindor and Hufflepuff that maximized the amount of blatching.

Suzuki decided to ignore the fact that everyone was trying to beat the shit out of each other, and continued to search for available targets. As soon as possible, he raised his bat, and took a swing.

It wasn't the swing, or even the placement of the bludger that got him off. It was the sudden presence, like something really bad was coming his way. Suzuki didn't visibly show it, but he did feel slightly disconcerted, hesitating slightly before he swang.

Like he'd predicted, the bludger missed it's target by a lot, making him slightly disappointed. Damn that presence.

"Hey Suzuki, are you ok? Don't worry about it, we still have a lot of chances as long as the game is not over yet!" Griseldis asked him.

" Yeah, thanks." The feeling passed, and he squinted around, trying to figure who was the culprit.

The Captain’s penalty lap finally having come to an end, Rafael decided to take the last moments of his punishment to revel in the state of his previous defeat, as well as replay the last few minutes of gameplay he’d only just missed. If all went well, he’d be able to smoothly slide into formation without a hitch and maintain steady gameplay – now, it was just down to technique.

The Captain inwardly crossed his fingers and outwardly steeled his body for oncoming danger. It was time to play like a Lion.

At present there would be no mid-round way to drop a quaffle due to the order of operations, however there will be certain effects in future patches that can cause this effect. These additional caught players would be brought to the ground safely and they would be allowed to retrieve their broom and enter play again the next round. This can be done every round as the player's action if they choose to do so. With brooms that have the feature where an additional player may be caught (such as Bluebottle) where there is a stackable chance of failure with each additional person caught, there is no stacking failure chance for players with this ability. In addition, you can counter up to 1 point of additional critical failure chances caused by abilities or spells (not potions). In other words, if you have an extended critical failure chance range (as is the case with certain races, the effect of certain spells or potions), this reduces that range by 1. So if you have a +2 critical failure chance range (meaning if you roll a 1,2, or a 3 you critically fail), this ability makes it a +1 critical range instead (meaning if you roll a 1 or a 2 you critically fail).

Fifty to zero. Things weren't looking terribly good for Gryffindor so far. Of course Marshal understood that one grasp of the golden snitch was all it would take to end the game in victorious fashion. Then again, it seemed it would be rather difficult for Evelynn to accomplish such a feat without her broom.
Watching the girl get targeted - and hit - by multiple bludgers made his blood boil. He knew it was only a game, yet somehow it was hard not to want to return the favor.

Having focused her mind from the horrors of watching her boyfriend get blasted off a broom...twice. Atlas was having a building feeling. A sudden desire to get a bit of payback of her own. It didn’t seem like the other team was at all interested in actually scoring points, so Atlas didn’t exactly see the need to spend all game floating uselessly at the goal posts. As usual, the game appeared to be devolving into a series of aggressive attacks sent both ways. Luckily, their team seemed to be continuing to put points on the board but the snitch could undo all the work if it was scooped up.

If Atlas was going to help out the team, it seemed the best strategy would pull her away from her post to dive straight into the action. There was a slight rush of mischievous energy as Atlas knew what to do. She hadn’t exactly been a fan of cheating but after watching some of her teammates fall, she was more open to the prospect. The Gryffandor seeker was already going to be the center of her team’s assault and Atlas wanted to make sure that they ended up off their broom and plummeting down.

Getting into position, Atlas watched as the seeker already had to be saved by one of her teammates. If Atlas could connect with a blatch, she might be able to get them both out for good. Turning her broom down, Atlas narrowed her eyes and started her dive. She kept her focus as she picked up speed but a tiny inkling of guilt flashed through her mind as she inched closer and closer. While she wanted to win, part of her felt guilty about cheating to do so. And the prospect of hurting peers wasn’t exactly the best feeling. That momentary debate put her slightly off course and her target was easily able to turn away from her.

“Shit…”Atlas grumbled, realizing she botched the attempt. She was quickly relegated to a penalty lap, only further adding insult to the failure. Shaking her head as she obeyed, Atlas told herself that she wouldn’t hesitate again. She didn’t want to let her team down. Exhaling, Altas stayed low to her broom, wanting to get the lap over with as quickly as possible to get back in the game.

Stanley was unsuccessful in finding the snitch. A sickening feeling was caught in his stomach. Maybe it was the presence of another player that had put him off from noticing the small golden ball.

He didn't want to let down his team yet again. It could ruin Stanley's reputation through out his house and the whole school. Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed Gryffindor's seeker fall which put a smile on the boys face. With Gryffindor's seeker out of the game his job would be a lot easier. Unfortunately, luck was not on his side and she got caught by another player. A frown replaced his smile and he let out a long hard sigh.

It would take a miracle for them to win the game now.
