Chaska let Loki lick the top of her head, closing her eyes and ducking her head down a little.

Rose smirked at her soon-to-be-brother. "I guess you'll just have to take my word for it." She nodded. "You're a good influence on him, and you weren't even here. That's an impressive feat." She then continued sarcastically, "Though, you know, you get bad grades and punch people like every other day, so maybe that'll change." Her eyes twinkled, showing that she was joking on this part. Rose did think Henry would end up being an excellent influence on her little brother, and would help him figure out some things.

Rose nodded as Henry seemed to piece the information together. "Yes, except I don't think it was a Grimm story."

"Wasn't it written by some French chick?" Gabe asked, bluntly.

Frankie nodded. "Indeed. I could talk all about it-"

"We know."

Rose rolled her eyes at the boys' banter, then continued, answering his questions. "It's Disney- the muggle movie-making company, you were right-'s own version of the original story, and it's a musical. The song is called Be Our Guest, since technically you're our guest," she explained brightly.

Rose smiled. "And he only knows that much because he's super smart and resourceful like that," she said, smiling at him playfully. Henry mouthed a thank you to Rose, though she wasn't quite sure what it was for. Maybe it was for reminding Jess about his wizard-born status. Yes, that must have been it. She smiled back, realization dawning in her eyes, showing that she understood. It was a non-verbal "you're welcome."

As Henry agreed (though rather indifferently), Gabe burst into pleads with his mother, asking if they could watch it while they ate. The rest of Rose's siblings joined in, the volume going right up from a respectful one up to ten. Rose made eye contact with Henry and rolled her eyes. Gosh, they were loud, weren't they?

Pearl finally gave in, to much whoops from the siblings. They all rushed to get some pasta and put their respective preferences of condiments on it. Rose made sure Henry got his own, hanging back with him. They all piled on the couch (there was enough room for all of them to sit comfortably), and Frankie put on the movie.

Rose's blood siblings were ironically quiet when watching movies. They made comments every once in a while, but were overall silent. Halfway through the movie, Pearl made them all get up (with much complaining) and clean their dishes together. They all gathered back on the couch, except for Rose, who went upstairs to go get Chaska and a blanket. Loki followed her down, and Rose fed Chaska. Rose offered a place that Henry could put the food for Loki to eat, since she knew he had brought his own. She stayed a second to make sure that they weren't fighting or anything (neither Chaska nor Loki were super food-motivated or conflicting in general, anyway), and then went to watch the rest of the movie.

She whispered to Henry what they had missed. She then said softly, "Uhm- are you one to like snuggles?" she asked, her cheeks pinking. It was a little bit of a silly word, the word snuggles. The only other option she had to choose from was cuddles. If he said no, she would smile and whisper, "Okay," and if he said yes, she would sit closer to him, cuddling up next to him. If he wanted, she shared her thick blanket with him. Rose got cold easily, and even though it was the beginning of summer, she got cold when just sitting in the family room. But that didn't mean Henry was cold, so she didn't share unless he wanted it. Once Chaska finished eating, she came and curled up in Rose's lap.

The movie was only an hour and a half (they had elected to watch the original version, which was a cartoon), and soon the movie was over, at about 8 o'clock. They still had plenty of time to do things, since they didn't see any reason not to stay up late and sleep in late during the summer.

As the credits scrolled, there was a light chatter as Frankie started a conversation with Faith about symbolism and Stockholm Syndrome. Pearl had almost fallen asleep during the movie. "What did you think?" Gabe asked Henry.

Henry recapped what they had told him, as if trying to organize it all in his brain. Rose took a moment to follow what he said, then replied, "Yes, that's right," to him. He was very good at listening, after all. Now that he was fully recapped on the movie, they all were able to carefully eat their pasta in the living room.

Rose shifted closer to Henry when he said it was okay with him, leaning on him a little bit. Rose had never been one to really want to be by her siblings. Maybe it was the years of poking and messing with each other that made Rose's trust in them a little rusty. Being a large family, most of them liked playing rough as kids, sometimes even wrestling with each other. The boys even had a phase where they would grab her feet as she was passing by them, which wasn't very pleasant at all. She didn't always want to sit next to them. But with Henry, something was a little different. He never did that with her. Sneak-attack poking and tickling was never something he did.

She felt a strange and unique feeling of trust towards Henry, and she could relax next to him, feeling his body warmth. Henry would protect her against anything, just like she would for him. Though Rose would always stand up for her blood siblings if needed, she didn't know if they would always do the same for her. Maybe blood didn't run thicker than water sometimes.

Gabe smiled as Loki climbed up on his lap, letting him sit there for as long as he wanted, absentmindedly and gently petting the orange cat while they watched the movie.

As the movie finished, Gabe asked Henry about what he thought. Though the three turned their heads, Gabe was trying to be still as to not disturb the feline on his lap, and Rose was deathly still, not just because she could, and because she wanted to stay close to Henry, and because she was way too lazy to move at that moment, but because Chaska had fallen asleep on her own. The Slytherin commented on how he liked Cogsworth. Rose smiled. Cogsworth was definitely quite funny. "My favorite character was always Lumiere. He's so dramatic," Gabe stated, though nobody really asked him. "Rose?"

Rose took a moment to think. "When I was little, I always thought Belle was cool. But I think the funniest character is LeFou." Gaston's not-so-bright sidekick, LeFou, always appealed to Rose. Though Cogsworth and Lumiere were iconic, Rose liked LeFou.

Gabe grinned. "You know what I think? We need to do some sibling bonding. It is time for a game of Truth or Dare."

Pearl stood up, brushing herself off. "I think that's my cue to leave," she said, her eyes sparkling. She yawned widely. "I'm going to go to bed. Don't stay up too late." She paused. "Or, at least don't be too cranky in the morning if you stay up late. Love you guys."

There was a murmuring of "okay"s and "goodnight"s from the Moon kids, and then she went upstairs.

Gabe turned on Henry. "Henry. Truth or Dare?"

Rose laughed a little. "You just want to pry a dark backstory out of Henry, don't you?"

"Shush, Rose. Henry's deciding."

She nodded at Henry with a smile. She had never really been one for slapstick comedy, but she liked the way LeFou was portrayed in the song Gaston (which, for the record, was her favorite song). It was such an interesting dynamic between the two characters. LeFou was so supportive and kind to such a bad guy. She liked him more in the live action, but he was still pretty funny in the older version.

Rose wasn't against Henry going first. It might be interesting. But she was fairly sure that most of Gabe's motivation for playing truth or dare was to learn about Henry's probably cool backstory. She didn't entirely want to expose Henry to that, especially if he didn't want to share.

Henry seemed fine with it, however, and she was glad of that they weren't forcing him into anything he was uncomfortable with. Then, at the same time, he was a very chill person. He had the guts to say no if he didn't want to answer, and he could take care of himself.

Henry took a moment to contemplate his decision. Truth or dare?

He chose a dare.

There was some kind of culture that Rose didn't understand about how choosing dare was superior or for the brave or something. Like if you didn't choose dare, you were some kind of wimp. To be honest, some people weren't very open about sharing their pasts or feelings, so dare was the obvious choice. So then why didn't they just play dare or dare? The whole reason that Rose liked playing truth or dare was getting to know people better, along with the sillier and riskier parts of the dares. It was a choice, and you had to weigh the choice. Sometimes she chose truth, sometimes dare. It all depended on her current mood and what she felt like doing.

Gabe lifted his hand to his chin, acting like he was stroking an imaginary beard. "Hmmmmm," he said, thinking deeply about this.

Jessica huffed impatiently. "Just choose, Gabe! Other people want a turn."

"All right, all right, I'm choosing," he said. He took another couple of moments to choose, then said to Henry, "I'll give you an easier one to start. I dare you to show us all the tricks Loki can do, buuuuuut you have to act like you're in a show showing off your cat's skills and stuff."

He crossed his arms and grinned, awaiting Henry's show. That was a pretty good dare to start it off with. Loki probably knew at least a couple of tricks, and this could be fun for all of them. Henry could decline this one if he wanted, but Rose really didn't see the point in doing that. This was a fairly harmless dare, and he would be able to do it wonderfully.

If he got up, Rose would move aside, shifting the weight that had been on him off of him so that he could stand.

A children's game. Truth or Dare. A game used to pass the time when your children and brrsk the ice as you grow. Henry never really played the game a lot before hogwarts, he spent most days inside. Reading and expanding his knowledge, always to afraid to go out and join in.

Now that the lad is a teenager, he grew and changed. Still, Henry didn't like the game much. It was a way to ask questions to know someone but questions tended to be awkward or about one's life that they shouldn't be forced to say because of a game or you can choose a dare. Which is dping a activity that most times are awkward fir the person to complete, the other factors changed on the person who was giving the dare.

Henry didn't say anything as he stay silent, Jess seemed impatient and Henry looked ag her already knowing who he won't call on. The lad now started to loath the idea by having a impatient and rude girl as his ste sister, hopefully they wouldn't see each other a lot. Turning from the blonde girl to Gabe mainly to spite Jess, Henry smiled as he spoke"take your time, Gabe. There isn't any rush and your coming up wirh a brillant dare after all," looking over at Jess ans nodding toward her with a smile.

Henry listened to Gabe's words, nodding toward them as his eyes drifted toward his orange feline who laid on Gabe's lap. Loki is intelligent for his species but so much so that he understood training and tricks, most days not doing them or taking his time to do them since he tened to believe that he was better than everyone. The feline seemed to think that he's a king, intended to rule.

"That depends on Loki and he doesn't seem like he wants to do any right now but I could try two to see," Henry spoke as he turned toward Gabe choosing to remained seated on the couch as he cleared his throat. Holding a hand up to the feline like they do in pet shows, Loki's amabee eyes gazed ovee his onwer watching to see what happens.

"Up," Henry spoke toward his feline, hand held and Loki blowing air through his mouth as he remained stretched out on Gabe's legs. Henry looked over at his feline, cleared his throat and whistled for a moment to get his feline's attention. Loki hearing the whistle, looked over at Henry who tried the command again.

"Up."

Henry's voice was a bit louder than usual, most times his voice was quiet and soft still ridden with a strong British accent. Loki gave a low growl, getting to his feet then sitting on Gabe's legs. The teen smiled a little as he thought to himself, commands that he could say and see if hia feline would do them. Henry held his hand up, settling on one as he spoke"stand." the feline stood on his back feet, reaching his paw out as he attemped to claw his onwer's hand.

Henry retreated his hand while Loki crawl off of Gabe, finding a seat between Gabe and Henry. Sitting on the couch, Henry sat back as he spoke"that's all Loki wants to do," the teen looked over the group, wondering who he should ask. He could get some payback, ignoring Jess ans deciding not to keep the game between him and Gane as he spoke"Franklin, truth or dare?"

Jessica wasn't sure how to respond to Henry telling Gabe to take his time. Rose had never thought Jessica was anywhere near perfect. She had been loud and rude and didn't really know her place in the world. But Rose hoped that someday she would come to her senses and figure out the world.

Rose was interested in this dare. It wasn't too demanding, but wasn't too easy, either. Rose wondered how this was going to pan out. Loki was generally a very untrustworthy cat, and saw himself as better than others. As Rose expected, Loki wasn't exactly cooperative. He growled as Henry asked him to do the first trick, to sit up instead of laying down. As he growled, Gabe comedically leaned back from Loki, acting as if the cat was going to explode any second. "Chill out, man," he said, laughing. Rose didn't think Gabe was actually scared of the tabby, just being dramatic, as always.

Henry's voice was commanding and assertive, and Rose wasn't surprised that Loki obeyed him. She was pretty sure almost any animal capable of those tricks would have obeyed Henry- he had a perfect commanding voice.

Rose and Gabe applauded for the tabby as he finished his tricks. "Bravo! Good job, Loki," Rose said, smiling at the cat. "He's been trained well," she commented to Henry, letting him sit down next to her. "Chaska only knows a couple of tricks. Maybe when she wakes up I can show you," she offered Henry, running a hand over Chaska's soft back fur. The cat was gently sleeping. Her chest expanding and contracting, slowly and surely. The simplicity of Chaska's life often grounded her in the way she needed.

Henry then asked Franklin for his own truth or dare. The Ravenclaw paused, taking a moment to think over his decision. Although his resting face was very thoughtful, it got even more thoughtful (which Rose didn't know that could happen, really), as he weighed the decision. Truth or dare? Franklin chose something that Rose didn't expect. "Dare," he replied.

Usually Franklin was one to stay on the safe side rather than give a risk. Henry didn't even like Franklin too much, so this was a stretch. Rose just hoped he wouldn't turn it down. Henry would present some pretty reasonable dares, as far as Rose would guess of him.

Eyes turned expectantly to Henry to provide a dare.

Gabe stroked his imaginary beard, but couldn't come up with any dare suggestions for Henry. "Something really embarrassing," he said. It wasn't very specific, but it gave Henry an area of dares. Frankie glared at Gabe, though he couldn't seem to suppress a smile towards his brother. Of course his brother was out to embarrass him.

As Henry's dare was presented, Frankie turned his head on its side, giving Henry a thoughtful look. He smiled, as if remembering a happy memory that had happened a while ago. Frankie mouthed a single word to himself.

"Anna."

Rose remembered that night at the Blossom Ball when Henry had told her about him and Anna playing Greek gods when they were little kids. How Anna always thought they would be children of Aires, the Greek god of war. Henry's nickname for her was Artemis, too, and she smiled at the thought that his dare could mean Frankie yelling she would rule the day.

Frankie stood, brushing himself off. "Okay, Henry. I accept your dare." He began walking towards the door, and paused before he left the room. "But if I wake Mom up, it's your fault." It was clear that Frankie was not serious about this. It was likely that if Pearl heard one of her kids shouting about Greek gods and woke up, she would just roll over and go back to sleep. It was a simple joke.

Frankie left the door open so they could hear him better, and Faith stood up, watching him from the living room to make sure that he did it right. They heard the boy shout.

"ARTEMIS WILL RULE THE DAY WITH HER MAGIC!!!"

Rose laughed quietly. "That was a good dare," she told Henry as Frankie came back in the house, closing the door.

Faith shrugged, taking a seat again. "He did exactly what you said," she told Henry. "Bravo, Frankie."

"Was that to your satisfaction?" Frankie asked the one who had dared him.

There were a couple more rounds, and though the Moon kids would probably rather address the newest addition to their family, they chose to let others have a turn. Frankie asked Faith, who then replied with truth. It was clear the boy was not approving of this choice, but he asked her a question anyway- literally the most cheesey question one could ask in a game of Truth or Dare.

"Do you have a crush?"

Faith laughed. "That's the best truth you can ask? That's literally the most cliche thing you can ask in this game."

He rolled his eyes. "Answer the question, then."

"Yes, I have a crush," she said, exasperated.

"Who is it, then?" he asked.

She narrowed her eyes at him. "You only get one question." He huffed, but accepted it. Faith turned to Rose. "Rose. Truth or Dare?"

Rose glanced at the cat on her lap. She really, really didn't want to wake Chaska up, but she was tempted to do a dare anyway. She paused to think, then glanced at Henry. "What do you think I should say?" she asked him.
