Rose was walking through the corridors when she was confronted by a goose. The goose seemed baffled that Rose dare be in his way (or her, Rose couldn't tell from here. But she just assumed it was a guy). It gave a loud honk in her direction. "Excuse me!" she said, placing her hands on her hips. He stretched his neck out, honking again. Rose narrowed her eyes. "That's very rude, mister Goose." Mr. Goose, however, did not seem to care very much that it was being rude and waddled full-speed towards Rose. Panicking, Rose stepped out of the way. Mr. Goose looked around in confusion, as if wondering where Rose had gone. Rose crept forward quickly and snagged him in her arms. She situated him so that she was holding his head with one hand and his body with her other arm, pinning his wings to his body. She did not want to get attacked by a goose today. The goose wiggled, and Rose heard a loud shout coming from the transfiguration room.
“YOU LET THEM ALL GET OUT!”
As Rose looked around, there were definitely more than one goose around here. With the goose in her arms, she walked towards the Transfiguration room, finding all the furniture to be gone.
It didn't take long for Rose to piece two and two together. She set the goose down on the floor, and as he tried to waddle away from her, flapping his wings, she pointed her wand at him, saying, "Reparifarge." The goose transformed into a piece of furniture on the spot. Rose smiled.
Interesting.
Rose exited the transfiguration classroom, finding other people that were helping to round up the geese, with varying levels of success. She stood there for a moment, before something ran past her leg. It was another goose, running and flapping its wings. Rose darted after it, weaving through the other geese and people to catch the goose. She had almost gotten it when-
WHAM.
She crashed into somebody. Her, that somebody, and the goose, all fell to the ground. Rose tackled the goose, holding it in her arms the same way she had the other one. "Sorry!" she exclaimed to the somebody, getting up. It was Henry. Henry Knight. Her stepbrother. "Oh. Hi," she said, a little sheepishly. "Sorry- I was chasing this goose, who really actually happens to be some kind of furniture that escaped from the Transfiguration Classroom. I guess I got carried away," she said, blushing. After a pause, she said, "I would offer you a hand but my hands are a little full," she added, meaning the thrashing bird in her arms.

Please, Dear Brother, Chase Geese With Me
There weren't any classes or dueling practices for that afternoon which meant Henry Knight could catch up on his reading.
The young teen enjoyed spending time with friends and laughing with them but the third year is still a introvert and avid bookworm. The teen still enjoyed the time he spent alone to read it study usually with his orange feline in places like the library or by the great lake.
Henry borrowed a book on a ancient ruins from the library and decided to find a spot outside, preferably nese the great lake since his orange feline; Loki was with him.
The feline was sitting on the teen's right shoulder as Henry kept the book held securely underneath his right arm, the teen walked through the corridors which oddly enough seemed more populated than usual that day.
The teen questioned what was the cause of the sudden groups forming and running around, the young teen figured they were playing a weird game or something so naturally he didn't pay any mind to it.
Honk!
The third year stopped his in place and looked around, blue eyes examining the area around him. The sound distracted him and Henry thought that it sounded like a bird, perhaps a goose but how would one even get inside the walls of the castle?
Henry looked around the corridors, he doubted that a animals wandered into the classes and figured that it was probably a student messing around and went back to walking down the corridors and toward the great lake.
Loki stood straight up and sniffed the air after a few moments, giving a short and loud meow before nibbling a little bit on Henry's right ear. The third year stopped as he looked up at his feline and spoke"Loki, stop that I'm fine and there's not here, just you and-" The third year spoke to soon when someone wirte abundantly ran into him and caused him to stumble backwards a few steps but remained standing.
However his book went flying to the ground along with a rattled and angry feline. The third year would look up to see who ran into him, mainly to see if they were alright or needed help.
"No harm done mate, are you alright?" Henry replied as he kneeled down to pick up the book he dropped and then stood back up, the book held in his right hand when he saw who crashed into him.
Rose. His stepsister who was holding a- goose...
Henry looked like the feathered animal for a moment before moving his eyes to his sister as he listened to her words and was curious Amir her explanation as the young teen asked" you didn't transfigure the furniture into geese did you?" The third year looked over the red head with a small smile when he saw another goose run full speed down the corridor toward them.
"Watch out!" Henry spoke as he pulled Rose out of the way a little so the goose could run by them and down the corridor,
Loki swatted at the air once or twice and gave a small hiss before sitting straight up and again turning his amber eyes to Rose. Henry looked after it before turning toward Rose as he spoke" let me help with that."
Henry pulled our his mayhaw wand from his inner jacket pocket then pointed it at the feathered animal and waited till the right moment until he spoke "Reparifarge," pointing his wand at the goose that then transformed back into the piece of furniture that it originally was.
Henry smiled toward Rose as Loki looked over the scene and gave a short meow, still seemed to be angry over falling off of his perch. The third year gave a little laugh and whistle, to the sound of the whistle Loki jumped up and sat back on Henry's right shoulder.
The teen smiled toward his feline before looking over at Rose with a small smile as he spoke" I reckon who would transfigure the furniture into birds, probably for a prank," the teen looked around and a few more geese slid through the corridor.

"I- I'm alright," she said. "I'm okay." She pushed the goose's head out of her face. "Sorry again, that was totally my bad," she said, bashful.
Rose shook her head. "No, it wasn't me. But I honestly don't think anyone wants to deal with a flock of furniture-geese." She smiled. Rose stepped to the side, more towards him as another goose came running by. This was a strange situation to be in, wasn't it? She had been chasing a goose and had run into her stepbrother.
Rose was having a good day today. Good days didn't happen all the time for Rose. Most days were full of anxieties, things to worry about. There were definitely some days that were okay, and some days that were alright. But there were barely, rarely any days that were good. Today Rose had woken up to see the sun shining in through her window, and though everything hadn't gone right, a lot of things had gone right, or at least mediocre. Chasing geese around Hogwarts and running into her brother was lightening up her mood.
Normal things never seemed to happen at Hogwarts, did they? Back in public school, the most interesting thing to happen was Billy's newest girlfriend and the next interesting and hilarious way they would break up. Maybe a field trip. But here at Hogwarts? They had balls for the sole reason that they wanted to, and they had a magical summer camp. There were stories of Hags and moving staircases and ghosts wandering around the castle. The students and staff were werewolves, dhamphirs, half-giants, half-goblins. They had interesting and diverse backgrounds. The sports weren't things like football or baseball. There was quidditch and dueling. One sport where you threw magical balls around while you flew on broomsticks, and the second you cast spells at each other. You learned magic here. It almost smelled like magic.
Rose didn't know how she survived public Muggle school. Hogwarts felt more like home, like a school, than ever. Sure, it might have been unsafe in comparison to her public school, but maybe that wasn't so bad. It made this feel less like a school, like a prison, like something she was required to do, and more like... a home. Hogwarts had always felt like a home. When she had moved from the house she had lived in practically her whole life, and moved into a new one, Hogwarts felt more like home than ever.
Henry cast Reparifarge on the goose, and it turned into a chair. "Nice one," Rose told him, setting the chair down. It probably would have been bad if it had been something like a bookcase or the professor's desk, because then Rose probably would have crushed her arms or Henry. But luckily, the goose was just a chair.
Rose furrowed her brow. "It didn't sound like a prank, I heard someone yelling about letting them get out. Maybe it was an accident?" she asked.
Rose thought she would give them the benefit of the doubt, mostly because anybody who would do a prank probably wouldn't have gone and turned all of the furniture in the Transfiguration classroom into geese. Her first thought was that the punishment wouldn't be worth the prank, if they were caught. If something important got lost because a furniture-goose ran away into the Forbidden Forest or the Great Lake, that would be bad. But then Rose realized that people who did pranks normally didn't care very much about what could happen if they got caught. That's why they did the prank.
"It could have been a prank," she admitted.
Rose smiled and laughed a little to herself, asking Henry, "Shall we go find a goose?"

"It wasn't your fault, it was the fault of the goose," Henry replied with a soft smile as the rest of his emotions remained hidden behind the 'barrier'. The third year examined his stepsister for a moment, looking her over for any sign of injury or blood or broke bones. He was concerned for her and now that he knew Episkey found it as a reason to help and care for his step siblings.
Henry nodded toward her next few words, nodding to them and relieved that Rose wasn't the responsible one. The teen found himself recently shaking his head and feeling responsible when his younger step siblings, specifically Rose and Gabe got into trouble. Henry has always been loyal to a fault but now another side of him was coming out, he was protective to.
The teen didn't tell Rose about the pranks he was part of with a few friends recently or the trouble they got into, he didn't want her to worry since he thought that was his job since he was older a fact that he constantly reminder her about now.
Nodding toward the girl's words as he thought for a moment, trying it imagine what the his friends apart of the mischief making group; BOOM would do with a prank similar to this as he spoke" maybe turning the furniture into geese was a prank but they didn't mean to let them out?" Henry caught her next words and nodded toward them, they didn't have any reasoning if that was a prank or not since they people who turned the furniture into geese is probably long gone about now to escape punishment.
Watching another goose run by, Loki gave a light hiss at it before licking his paw and cleaning his face for a moment then jumped up and climbed up Henry again to his right shoulder where the orange feline sat. Watching the scene with his amber eyes.
"Well I can't let you go alone as your older brother," Henry replied with a playful smile and lightly nudging her a bit before turning and looking at the direction where the bird ran off to. The book and his mayhaw wand both stayed in his hands as he turned his blue eyes back to Rose and nodded as he spoke" let's go catch a goose."

Henry pointed out that it was mostly the fault of the goose that Rose had been chasing. She shrugged. He was probably right, like he was most of the time.
Rose often found herself trying to figure Henry out. She was getting much better at it, better than when she first met him. He wasn't exactly an open book. Sometimes Rose had to guess at his reasoning, or try and pry open his words or actions to find what was important to him. That's usually what she did with pretty much everybody, but made an extra effort with those she loved- she wanted to get to know them better, and as a result, analyzed what they did to try to figure them out.
Rose was usually one to give people the benefit of the doubt. She didn't quite trust them or get her hopes up, of course, but she would let herself believe that it wasn't as bad as it looked. Rose always liked to believe the best about people, because that's what she would want others to think about her. Rose would give people the benefit of the doubt.
Henry, on the other hand maybe assumed the worst as either a protection mechanism or as an instinct. In the past, people had always done the worst. His mother had died. His father had just disappeared. Anna had run away. If everyone was going to keep doing the worst, why not assume the worst? Then he wouldn't be disappointed, right? It was a smart stance to take in a position like his, though she couldn't be one hundred percent sure that that's the way he thought.
Her guess could be tremendously and obnoxiously off, but it was a mental recording in her Grande Journal of Figuring Henry Out, and it could help her quest to know him better. Her observation definitely couldn't hurt anything, at the very least.
The redhead rolled her eyes. "You know, because I always waltz around doing irresponsible things and getting mauled by dangerous geese," she said playfully. She grinned at Henry as he suggested they go catch a goose. And off they went, to go catch another goose for the good of all the students of Hogwarts. And for the Transfiguration professor's conscience.
Because, as the saying goes, the best way to bond with your brand-new step-brother is to catch a goose with him. Simple as that.
