Anything In Common?

Emily walked into the library holding some books she had taken with her to read through. Most of them were about her classes and some of them were just, to read through some stuff, have some fun with catching up on Hogwarts information. She loved to read about Hogwarts, she always found it so interesting. She put the books she had read back on the shelves and kept her own book that she had brought with her from her dorm with her to find a nice reading spot to catch up some reading.
After looking around for a bit, she found a nice reading spot for herself, to settle herself down and have some fun with reading. For today she had grabbed one of her all-time favourites "Wuthering Heights". All the books she read were Muggle classic Novels, she could read them a thousand times over and over again, she would keep enjoying them as much as she did the first time she ever read them. After reading for an hour straight, she pulled her book in her book and dug between the shelves for another book, when she found a book about Transfiguration, she opened it immediately and decided to finish the book as fast as possible. She had never been very good at Transfiguration, so reading about it might give her some hopes for success.
When she wants to head back to her seat, she starts reading the first chapter, but before she knew it she had walked into something, so hard that she and her book had fallen onto the floor or the library. She had been so stupid to walk into a total stranger and embarrass herself for the entire library.

Oh, who was she kidding, Maggie wasn't going to the library to find peace and quiet to meditate or something otherwise stupid and idiotic. She was going to snoop through the library for secret, hidden passages (she'd heard rumors) and figure out how one could get into the restricted section of the library.
Allegedly, it was near impossible for students without authorization and permission to weasel their ways inside, but Maggie liked to think she was different and special. Or something of the sort. Something stupid. Whatever! She was going to find a way inside, mess around with secret passages, and overall become the coolest first year there ever was.
Eat your heart out, Harry Potter.
Now. Let's be truthful here; Maggie was not very stable. She didn't really have that upright instinct that was normally required for walking. So it didn't surprise her all that much when she ran headfirst into Emily Brewer, who had her nose stuck in a book. What a pair, the two of them, not paying attention and making classic fumbles in the Hogwarts library.
Maggie yelped as she toppled to the ground, back hitting against one of the wooden bookshelves with a dull thud. Ouch. "Ah, geez, Bloody Mary," Maggie groaned, rubbing the back of her head sheepishly. "You alright, then?"

Emily felt stupid for being so clumsy, how could she have been so stupid to walk into someone. She had done it before, obviously, it happened to her all the time. She looked up and noticed that she did not only walk into a person but into a Slytherin girl. She always tried to not judge people, cause people shouldn't be judged, but in some way she still had this small fear for Slytherins. She knew they could be very nice and always ready to have chitchat, but couldn't avoid the fact and gossips that where said.
"Ah i am so so so sorry! I didn't mean to hurt you, are you okay, is there something i can help you with?" She asked, a bit stressed while grabbing her books from the floor. She'd been going around to find the right book for her, to read and just clear her mind, and of course her study books since she still had some classes to attempt. She looked at the girl, hoping she was not angry with her. She grabbed the books that had fallen from the girl and handed them over to her, hoping she'd see it as a peaceoffer.

Well, Maggie was totally resigned to proving that she wasn't evil! "No, no, it's okay, it happens. Stuff happens," Maggie assured with a little smile, rubbing her head and taking the book back. Kind. At least someone was being nice. A good about of students at Hogwarts were pretty rude, actually. Just ignored Maggie or told her to watch it, since she was a first-year. "You okay, though? That was a pretty rough collision. Felt like a ton of bricks," she joked. Just a joke. Try to break the ice a little bit, make sure that Emily felt comfortable. "I'm Maggie."
