As Cash waited for the others to show up while seated next to Liana, the other girl confirmed that she indeed belong to Narcissa Dorm, just like Cash. The redhead provided that her name is Liana. "Likewise. A pleasure to finally meet you too"The Cuban descendant replied back to the first year. Although Cash shared a dorm with Liana and Scarlet, the green eyes never interact with the other two before.

''Thank you; I'll be okay once the game starts. No need to go easy on me, by the way - I do want some serious dueling practice, that's why I joined the club''Liana told Cash. The young Ironwoods let out a small grin. They liked the confidence the small stature first year had. "I see"They expressed then after Cash give a reassuring tho the first year, Cash walked up to Henry again.

Cash had asked Henry whether the blue-eyed boy knew what they will play for today's S.W.A.G game and maybe along the line Cash had asked Henry if both of them will play on the same team or not. "I hope so but if not then I'm just going to have to aim my spells at you so that we are,"He said then let out a small laugh.

The Beater looked at Henry up and down, sizing them but not in a menacing way. "Oh bring it on, mate!"They replied as they let out a smirk. Cash did not know how long they stood around until a handful of people finally show up. Alan then briefs all the participants of what they will play for today's event.

It seems the game that all of them will play is based on a Muggle game called Dodgeball. A game that Cash had a vague memory playing when they were small with a group of their neighborhoods' children back at Oxford before their father forbids them to play with them if that bunch of lot did not come from magical families.

The redhead fifth-year Gryffindor then called out his fellow Gryffindor (Xailah) and his year-mate Ravenclaw (Delilah) first. Cash assumed when your name is called first then the pair will act as the captains for each team. "Best of luck Cash and see you on the same team soon"Henry expressed. "That goes the same to you"Cash said then part ways with Henry for now.

Once the team had been divided, the young socialite looked around. Three of their teammates belong to the house of Eagle. One particular shout out their name. "Rory"The Cuban descendant greeted the odd girl that got stuck with them in that creepy chamber that the Ground Keeper made over last summer.

A memory that Cash tried to erase from their mind but it was a futile attempt. “Okay, so, we are going to throw acronyms at each other as we jinx them, right?”The peculiar girl inquired Cash once she stood and leaned into the Slytherin's Beater. Cash averted their eyes from the other team member and looked at Auror weirdly.

The green eyes gave the other girl an are-you-serious look upon her odd question. "Maybe or maybe not"They replied vaguely and did not delve into it furthermore. Then Cash senses someone looking at them. Cash's green eyes then looked back at Autumn. The pair only met briefly during a cauldron explosion last year and Autumn flew out an awkward smile.

Cash nodded at the gesture. "You got this!"They said to Autumn. It is so out of Cash's character to encourage and reassuring people but they know the feeling of nervousness when attending and playing S.W.A.G game for the first time. Cash took a deep breath and was ready to fly out the incantation of their team namesake and hoping it will hit their target.

The idea of this game was thrilling, she loved dodgeball as a kid, obviously, this wasn't quite the same, with it being based on spells rather than pelting pretty hard balls at fellow children's faces. But there was also another difference, when you get hit by a spell, you switch teams, isn't that cool? Del definitely thought so. It wouldn't just be whack, you're out.

Delilah rubbed her hands together as she stepped over to her team, she wanted to win, she wanted her team to win, although she realised that "her team" may not be the same as it is now. However she did know that she wanted to win. This was her first game as a part of the club and she was so excited.

It seemed as though, on her team, she was likely the most experienced, as well as being the oldest so it made sense, she was a bit worried about it honestly, she wasn't a leader whatsoever, she was a follower, a decent follower, but a follower. She had been a prefect once but she stuck to patrols rather than leading any teams. She enjoyed it more that way.

Either way, this game was going to be fun. she hoped she could last a decent amount of time.

Round 1

The game was of to a great start and it would not take a lot of time before the first spells were slung at one another. He would soon notice that this might drag out for a bit, but as long as everyone would have their fun and kept their stamina high, there should really be no issue. Delilah would attempt to cast a spell at Xailah and actually did not even manage to launch the spell, simply because of something that distracted her for a moment, like a presence that shortly captured her attention before letting go of her again; kind of spooky. Xailah would return the favor and cast at the Ravenclaw as well, but her green sparks charm would miss and instead dissipate into nothing as it did not find its target fast enough. River would actually manage to get a hit on Pericles, who in return (unlike Xailah who had missed her previously) send a green sparks charm flying at Delilah. The spell hit its mark and for a moment all that Delilah could see were sparks that blended her. Autumn made it easy for the other team as she hit herself with a Flipendo, causing her to switch teams by accident, whereas both Henry and Liana tag teamed in taking down River. Both of them would hit the dhampir with their spells, sending violent sparks in her face. Her sensitivity to light mustn't be pleased as River felt a sharp pain behind her retina. Cassandra would hit Henry with a painful Flipendo, making him stagger as he kept standing on both feet but was now required to betray his team. Aurora a charming young girl would find her spell failing at the core, and Scarlet seemed save for this round; despite being targeted luck had been on her side as she could see Autumn hit herself with that nasty knockback jinx.

Petrificus Totalus. That had not been the answer Xailah expected, when she asked about the new incantation Pericles had learned. She had been thinking something along the lines of Relashio, or a cool conjuring charm like Serpensortia. But Petrificus Totalus?? That particular spell was a scary one. Not because it was potentially harmful- no, quite the opposite in fact. It was more on the harmless side of things. Rather than slash or burn, like a majority of the defense spells taught in Hogwarts classes; Petrificus Totalus rendered the casters target immobile. Stock still. Paralyzed. That there, was what made the jinx absolutely terrifying. Being at the complete mercy of your opponent, was not something anyone strove for; or wanted to experience. Pericles' mellow disappointment (what was assumed to be disappointment), for being unable to put the spell to use, drew some concern. He wasn't a sadistic, or violent person, no not at all. Nor did he like to see peers in a place of vulnerability. Xailah was well aware of that. And yet, couldn't help but begin to wonder if he was beginning to lose touch with his most prominent trait: his innocent wandering sense of wonder, for the world and it's humble offerings of power. He had grown so much as a person over such a short amount of time. For the better? Time had yet to tell.

The slight crinkle of a fine brow; windowed second thoughts. However a thin, waning grin, shared in the young birds crackling excitement and quiet consideration. Xailah thought it might have been better to fully evaluate everything the boy had said, rather than jump straight into ridiculous proposals; that she could now be sure she wasn't at all serious about. Yeah, the thought of being paralyzed later wasn't exactly one she found thrilling. Surely the Ravenclaws moot affirmation was not made in actual agreement? 'Alright' was like the 'maybe' of confirmations. It could technically mean anything.

As soon as the game started, the duo would find themselves immediately separated. Well, almost. After a quick huddle with the team, Xailah and Pericles decided to group up and try their hand at bringing Delilah to their side. Xailah shot, with her spell aimed at team Flipendos fifth year. "Verdimillious-" The green glow from her blackwood wand, slithered by the senior, with the slinkiness of an electric eel. That was underwhelming. Xailahs golden ringlets darted, to the bleached splinter of aspen that Pericles had clasped in his willowy fingers. His wandtip was alight with the same green light. Unlike the cubs, the birds aim would strike true. Attention flickered to his face; the look on Xailahs implied that she might have been preparing an encouraging quip. The expression would fade when she saw his chest alight with Flipendos infamous flare; promptly causing him be sent flying backwards. Naturally, Xailah was concerned. She knew he was alright, he had been hit with more than his fair share of Flipendos; but that would not change the fact that Xailah would always express some degree of worry whenever she saw him go flying. She pattered over to him quickly; frowning slightly as she got closer; knowing that this would mean he would have to switch teams- which was very disappointing considering the game had only just begun. Oh well. You win some, you lose some. Mayhaps there would be an opportunity to get him back. Looking down at him, if he was still down, she would mutter with a pout, "You're sssupposed to dodge the oncoming spells." As if that hadn't been obvious to begin with.

Liana hitting the ever-swift River, was a surprise. It swept Xailah away from her temporary state of despondency. First years were usually very timid, and hesitant to try their chances at jinxing the older students. Hit the wrong elder and you could find yourself going snorkeling in the abandoned bathrooms. Hit the right one, without consequence, and you could find yourself sprinkled with praise. Having noticed the young snakes feat, Xailah would give the child the latter. Boldness (within a great amount of reason) was always something to commend. "Outstanding shot!" The metamorph verbally applauded the girl Liana. "Keep that up and you might just find yourself with a one-way ticket into the duelling club." She gave what was meant to be a sincere compliment- but with the comment that tailed behind it... it would likely be questioned. But, to clear any doubts, her praise was genuine. Hopefully the little snakelet understood that. "Though, I can't imagine why anyone would want to join that neanderthal sport." She snickered, possibly loud enough for any duellists within a five mile radius to hear. Was she aware that a majority of S.W.A.G's participants were duellists? Oh absolutely. She knew what she was doing. No offense to anyone involved in the club. Well. Okay, maybe just a little offense. But her jab was for the most part, a comment made in good humor. "Your talented aim is better suited for greater things." And that was the truth. Partial truth. The fiery-haired witch clearly had potential. Be it in or out of duelling.

Once those who had been hit, switched sides; Xailah took a minute to reroot herself. She looked at each person who had changed from one team to the other; and made mental notes of each face. Henry. River. Delilah. Pericles. Another girl- never caught her name. Two for team Flipendo. Three for team Verdimillious. Win some, lose some. Xailahs sights fell to Pericles, once all the faces at been scanned. "Now, don't get too comfortable over there." She called tauntingly, with a cupped hand, so that her voice could be projected across the play field. "Remember, you want to be on the winning team."

“Fli-“ Gosh, the chill. At first it was that scary tall girl she was intimidated by, but now, there was just something about the Ravenclaw first string seeker. Ominous, sinister, perhaps, enough to make Aurora drenched in cold sweat. The grip on her wand tightened, the acronym she had prepared beforehand faded, and so was the strong will to cast a spell, crumbled down like a wrecked cookie. And just like that, some of her team members switched positions.

Four against six. So this is how the game works, using spells as a way of recruitment. Where’s the acronym play in this then? The fact no one targeted her rubbed in the wrong way. Surely no one targeted her to be in their team because there were lots of stronger students. The possible underestimation of her ability made her anger boiled up. Once she proves her worth, they will see who’s the boss. On the brighter side, a dueling co-captain was on her side now. That, until they would decide to take him back. What a pain, Pericles’ buddy seemed to be sure enough to be in the winning team. Perhaps she was dying to join the flipping bunch. “Well, he is on the winning team already! Maybe you want to join!”

The girl readied herself once more, maybe trying to not make eye contact with the terrifying seeker slash prefect. This time, she swore to at least be able to shout the true acronym of flipendo, and that was her promise.

As Alan gave the go signal, spells were cast left and right. Cash thought that their team would gain some people from the other team but they thought wrong. As they looked around some of their teammates had switches team. The green eyes tried not to let out a winced when Autumn hit herself with a Flipendo making her switch team.

Before the game begin, their team Captain gave Cash clear instruction on who to hit with the Knockback jinxed. "Flipendo!"They pointed their wand toward the unsuspecting Henry. The latter was too busy tag-teaming with Liana hitting River with the green sparks charm. The Cuban descendant let out a grin when their Flipendo hit Henry rather hard.

From the force of the Knockback jinxed make Henry staggered. Though the blue eyes boy staggered, he keep standing on both of his feet. "Was that payback for calling you by your first name?"Henry inquired the young Ironwoods after he switch teams. "Maybe. Sorry not sorry, mate!"Cash replied vaguely. Though Henry and Liana managed to hit River, River also managed to hit Pericles.

In the lieu of that moment, Pericles walked away from his original team. The young socialite shake their head when Aurora replied to what Xailah had said to Pericles. It seemed she can not keep her opinion to herself. But Cash clapped internally for her spirit and let out a grin. "That's the spirit, Rory!"They expressed.

Then reality set in. Cash's green eyes scanned their team. The team consists of four people, including themselves whereas the other team consists of six people in total. You lose some, you gain some. How is that fair? They thought to themselves. But with the team keep switching back and forth throughout the whole deal, it is anybody's game.

"Don't switch teams now, mate"Henry said as he pointed his wand and spoke to the Beater. Cash looked at Henry as Cash makes a stance like Henry taught them to do at their Dueling practice - training that one time. "I will try but I can not make any promises"They replied back in French as Cash pointed their wand and was ready to aim at their next victim.

Immediately after the game begun, spells were flying absolutely everywhere, her spell managed to fail due to River, and her teammates seemed to have not done too well. She tried to dodge the spells firing towards her, and she did manage to dodge the first one, shot by Xailah, however whilst dodging the first, she got hit by the second.

She hated Verdimillous, in her time on duelling he has had it shot at her a few times and suffered the results. It was one of her least favourite spells to be attacked with. It was just generally very unpleasant, would you want to get blinded? especially by the colour green? I certainly don't and neither does del.

Running over to the other side of the field, whilst still annoyingly blinded, she got ready to start casting spells for the other team, one thing that she noticed is going to be a struggle is remembering which team she was on so which spell to use, but she would be able to figure it out sooner or later, just with all the switching, she was worried she would get confused. but for now, it seemed simple enough. Kind of fun too.

And this is what she got for getting genuinely excited about anything. Her stupid spell blowing up stupidly at her stupid face. And that hurt. In an emotional sense of course, but she had made the mistake of forgetting exactly how much Flipendo hurt. At least now she knew if hitting yourself with a spell could make you switch teams. It was fine. Verdimillious was a fun spell and now she had a bigger team, and it wasn't an all-Ravenclaw, so maybe her terrible failure hadn't exactly been that bad?

Bad attempt at lying to herself, it had been that bad. No, it had been worse. She hadn't just missed, she had hit herself. That was a whole new level of failure. She duelled. What if instead of a club game, this had been an official duel? She wouldn't be able to shake things on and move on then. That could have been the difference between a victory and a loss in an official duel, and that was unacceptable.

Nope. This was a fun, chill game with zero stakes. She needed to chill the hell out and move on. The whole point of the game was switching and fluid teams, and it was still early in the game. Maybe this was for the better. Only time would tell. Except if time was her ability not to majorly screw up on the next round of the game. But that didn't sound nearly as good.

"Honestly," she started in response to Henry, "I couldn't tell you, I've not done enough of either to know," she added, laughing. Scarlet assumed after having a proper go at each one she would know where her strengths lie, right now she liked the idea of both so time would tell which she was any good at.

Scarlet figured the majority of the other students would choose to attack, and since many of them were older than her, and most likely more proficient duellists, she thought it best to try anticipate any such attacks at her and attempt to dodge them. It was a good job she did, she spotted a girl with short dark hair from the opposite team getting ready to aim a spell in Scarlet's direction. Luckily though, she didn't even need to go to the effort of trying to dodge the spell, Scarlet watched as the spell backfired from the girl's wand, switching the girl to her own team.

Unfortunately, the teams hadn't finished reorganising themselves yet, two of her own teammates were also hit, transferring them to team Flipendo, one of them being Henry, "don't count on it, you better not go for me now," she joked backed her friend. From what she could tell by counting the students on each team, hers was slightly ahead, though not be enough to get excited about just yet.

"That looked a tad painful," she said to her new team member as the dark haired girl (Autumn) crossed over to the side of team Verdimillious, "makes me really glad you ended up missing," she added, offering a friendly smile to the girl. Scarlet didn't have to worry about being hit by her now though, just the other members of team Flipendo, she looked at each of them, mostly unchanged from the last round, stopping at Henry and giving him a playful smile.
