Wizard Chess
Abigail had arrived at the empty Great Hall, a chessboard in hand. She looked around looking for a person, there was no one there for now. And then she approached the Gryffindor table and placed the chessboard there. The board had colors between red and beige. She opened the box's flaps to reveal the white and red pieces.
She removed the pieces and closed the flap, and then placed each piece on the square in its respective color. She was thinking about playing alone.
She looked up at the sun that lit up the beautifying windows of the Great Hall. She felt stunned. The silence, in Abigail's opinion, was very comforting; unlike his brothers who preferred chaos and noise, Abi preferred silence.
However, she couldn't contain her own silence to herself. for now she has tried to play chess alone with herself, and the most she could manage was pathetic boredom.
She knew that some pieces could move, and break, too. But nothing more than a Reparo could fix this problem, and no this was not meant to be a pun. Shame on her, to be honest.
Damn. This is taking forever. How can she put up with it all? You would have to have complete patience to play chess!

Wizard Chess
Clair walked in the great hall, it was semi empty, only a few students mingled around, at the Gryffindor table sat a girl, she seemed to be playing wizarding chess, a game Clair had been wanting to learn, she walked over, "Hi! my name is Clair Fernandez, can I play with you?" She asked, it seemed better to be straight forward, and not hint. "I don't know how to play, but I'm a quick learner!" She hoped the girl would let her, Clair sat down across the table from the girl, I would guess your Gryffindor? I'm Ravenclaw, I think we have done classes together, our houses have been in joint classes." Wizard chess, any chess really, had been interesting to Clair sense she learned about it, it was a grand game, but her family had never enjoyed it and therefore never showed Clair how to play, she sucked in a fresh breath of air, and wished that it was dinner time, she was hungry, she had missed breakfast, because she had been studying and not watching the clock, her belly growled and Clair smiled "sorry, I missed breakfast so I'm a little hungry but I'll live till dinner!" She smiled a little, waiting to see what the girl would say....

Wizard Chess
Entering the Great Hall was what the boy did well, and well, perhaps more chaos was inflicted here in this wide and usually filled eating room. It was the place where the Headmaster spoke, the Sorting Hat sorting little boys and girls like Cody, where the House Elves brought food to their table as it couldn't be conjured because it'd break one of the five Gamp's laws on Transfiguration. He came across two girls.
The young part goblin waved his tiny arms at the girls around a chess board. Ok, fine, maybe he wanted to do something other than sitting, but they agreed to doing this. Cody swore not to get mad and to not flip the board as if he was insane or ravaged. Instead, he put on the attitude he had, when he arrived to Hogwarts for the first time, and of course, he was feeling rather judgmental at the moment. How do they expect him to not blow up then and there? Cody longed for Chaos. But was he to get it? Not by a game of wizards Chess. Well, better than an Unbreakable Vow, as the consequence is death. Wait- maybe death is better than boredom.
"SHALL WE BEGIN?" The boy screamed rather loudly. Attempting to ensure that the sound bounced off the walls, and reverberated. "OR ARE WE WAITING ON SOMEONE?" A menacing cackle left the boy, but he quickly fixed it and straightened up, knowing full well that people would know that he was there now. He definitely made an impression when he arrived, and he wanted to keep up that impression.

"Oh, hi boy. Well...I'm playing board together with someone. If you want you can sit with us and watch us play!" She said, and now turned her attention to Claire. And then she started saying "Pawn to D3" The pawn moved to the fourth column. She opened a smile "Ravenclaw? I think it's really cool."
And then, she turned her attention to Cody waiting for the girl to respond in chess. "Do you like chess?" She asked thoughtfully.
"I heard there are chess champions out there" She commented to both of them. "Hey, if you have chess problems, let me know." She warned, calmly and kindly. And then, still waiting for the girl's answer, she began to observe the environment, it was very calm and serene, it was not very common to take time to play chess.
"I was chosen for Gryffindor, it was weird and cool." she commented.
His gaze narrowed and turned into a focused gaze, looking for every mistake or slip Claire could make. Maybe she's new to chess, she doesn't know. Nor does she play a lot of wizard chess, just sometimes to pass the time.
"What do you usually do? I play chess by myself." she asked.

Clair looked at the board, she just told it what to do... That seemed pretty easy!
"Pawn D2" she said, looking at the price as it moved, she looked up at the boy,
"umm Hi??P she said after his big booming scream, "thanks, most my family is in Slytherin, so it's odd for me to be a Ravenclaw." She looked back up at the boy, Cody, if she was right he was the Hufflepuff that students talked about, mainly in their common room.
"Did I do that right?" She asked the girl, as she waited for the next move,
"umm, I read and study, I like to be bead of my class, it's odd, Izzy, my sister, says I am weird for spending so much time reading." She smiled "I have never played Chess before, my family thought it was boring." she shrugged a little, "so I'm guessing you'll win, 'cause I have very little idea how to play!" To Clair this was no matter, it filled time to play, and she knew she had to learn still, and that would mean loosing. She looked at the prices, "So there is Pawns, Kings, knights, and Queens right?" She pointed at the one on the horse, " is a knight?"

"Coincidence, isn't it? My maternal family is all Slytherin, and my paternal is Ravenclaw. And I'm the only one who got sorted into Gryffindor." she commented. She studied the board with narrowed eyes.
"Pawn to H3" The pawn in the right corner ends up moving one square forward. She gave a smile.
"We're just starting the game so I don't think it's something to worry about." she commented. While she waited for the girl's next move.
"There are only Pawns, Kings, Knights, Queens and Horses. I don't know if they are knights. I'm sorry." She apologized.
The young girl glanced again at Cody. To check him out if he was gone. She turns her gaze to Claire and then says "I forgot to say, my name is Abigail, Abigail Keneddie" Her smile faded and she lowered her head.
Abi was planning to take her next step, wishing she wouldn't be bothered by anything right now. It was an extremely precise moment. She rested her hand on head with a slight feeling of weariness.
""Chess isn't boring, it's just a mental exercise that people should do more!" My dad always says that about chess." She commented as she continued to wait for Claire's next move.

Wizard Chess
Noami walked in the Great hall, she saw two girls playing Wizard chess, it looked very interesting, so she desired to go over to them. It was a girl from Gryffindor and a girl from Ravenclaw like herself. She also saw a boy that where looking at them play, he was from Hufflepuff. All houses except Slytherin was represented, within the three students around the Wizard chess.
She heard them talking about which house they, where placed in and which house their family members where in or had been.
Noami was to shy to join in at the conversation right away. But she had in common with them that she was placed in a different house than her family members.
She was not sure if the boy was about to leave or if he will continue to was them play.
Noami has never played Wizard chess, but she had read about, and was excited too see how it was played, she would also liked to how to play. Maybe she could be beat her brother at it.
Noami sat down at the table beside the girls as, she said "Hi, i hope is okay I sit here and look at you playing?".
She was so nervous for them to reject her, but she has to get out of her comfort zone, if she wanted to make friends. She just hoped that the others could feel that she was nervous.

"you said your Maternal family and your parental family, can I ask? do you have two families?" Clair felt mildly rude asking but she was curious, "Not to be rude and butt into your life" she added quickly, just then a girl walked up and asked if she could watch, seeing no reason why not Clair nodded, "unless Abigail does not want you to I don't see why not!" she smiled at the girl
"are you a Ravenclaw? "Oh no problem. You can watch the best match of the century for now." She joked, sarcastically. She noticed that some people were approaching her, getting interested in the chess game. It wasn't to her taste but she would like to be alone with her opponent.
"Pawn to H4" she said, and the pawn in the corner of the board slid one square forward. His moves were sure, to make sure Claire doesn't suspect she's making a noble and sneaky move.
"I only have a single close-knit family, I'm not a big fan of talking about it." She flinched waiting for the young red-haired girl's next move.
"My brothers are boring too. There are certain moments I can't stand them." She snapped, now crossing her arms. Her gaze remained so focused on the game that you could tell she'd spent hours playing it.
As always, she had inherited her father, from his love of wizard chess and cryptic things. "Ravenclaw must be very good, I hope it wins the House Cup" she said. She looked up, thinking of a new move. she was really getting bored.
"Um, what kind of sweets do you like?" Abi asked, a little bit bored and upset.

Noami saw the girl from Ravenclaw nodded after she ask if it was okay that Naomi sat down to watch them play, the nod gave her a little bit of relief. The girl ask other girl if she was okay with it, the girl mentioned the name Abigail, so it must be the other girls name she thought. Noami hoped that Abigail would be okay with it to, she also thought that sitting and watch them play and talk, will allow her to get known them, and who known maybe they will become friends.
Abigail answer that she could watch with a little joke.
The girl smiled to Noami and that asked if she was in Ravenclaw, because she thought that she had seen Noami before.
Noami smiled back and answered "yes, I am Ravenclaw! I also think that I have seen you before, I think you are right that it has been at the table or in the common room, but I don´t think we have talked, but I am Noami". She thought is was nice to talk to a fellow Ravenclaw she hasn´t talked to yet.
