A Halloween Pumpkin Hunt
With Autumn rolling around the corner, Shanelle began to feel the chilly and Halloween vibe. She pulled her coat tighter as she walked into the Great Hall for dinner. All she wanted to do is to go to bed and sleep for a couple of hours. She had just managed to finish her Potions essay that she handed in just now, her essay had taken her a whole week to complete. She hasn't had dinner in the Great Hall for a whole week. Apart from the several homework and projects due in a few days, there is also a Fall Ball coming up, she hopes that she will make new friends there. Within seconds, She was already at the Gryffindor table, she was about to sit down when a flash of orange in front of her shocked her.
“Hmm?” She was shocked. Looking again, she realized the orange thing was a pumpkin. It seemed to have grown arms and legs and was running around the Great Hall, weaving in between tables. The dirty blonde paused for a second and pulled the nearest person next to her, a fellow Gryffindor first year she did not recognize and charged towards the pumpkin. She waited for a few seconds, found an opening and launched herself into the air, her arsm outstretched and reaching towards the escaping pumpkin.

A Halloween Pumpkin Hunt
Mod Post
Roll 1d100: 59 - SuccessNow many people, when seeing a living pumpkin creature with vine-limbs, run the opposite way. The brave gryffindor, Shanelle Meza though, was not one of those people. She did not show much fear or hesitation as she grabbed a jol of her housemate, and booked it right for the enchanted vegetable. The orange beast saw the two students heading right for it, and began skipping hastily through the great hall, giggling as it searched for it’s escape route. It was so young, and had so much yet to explore. No way it would let itself be caught by a pair of children!
The pumpkin must not have been as sneaky and speedy as it believed though. As it rounded a turn, Shanelle was quick to spot the opportunity of it slipping slightly and losing some momentum. And in a great slo-mo leap, she gracefully grappled the viney creature and brought it to a halt on the ground. Keeping it there was certainly not an easy task though, but at least the pumpkin had been captured.ReducioCongrats! You successfully caught your pumpkin without it exploding. To be eligible for the reward you must still complete the word count before October 26th. Thank you for participating. Please continue your thread if you wish to

A Halloween Pumpkin Hunt
Shanelle felt the little pumpkin in her arms as they closed in on it. She got it! She couldn’t help but let out a little cheer. While the young gryffindor was sure of her bravery, she wasn’t so sure about her abilities. With a wide grin on her face, she folded her legs to climb up on her feet, not letting the little pumpkin escape. Her heart swell in pride as she heaved it on her shoulder, and headed out to the corridors where she spotted people with pumpkins heading.
Tapping the shoulder of her house mate, she said, “Hey, I will just go and return this little pumpkin to whoever dropped it. There’s a lot of it around if you are bored!” She smiled brightly, pointing to the whole lot of orange vegetables running around the Great Hall. She held onto the pumpkin as she bounced off to the corridors.
Turning around the corner, she spotted two prefects gathering the lost pumpkins so she headed towards them. “Hi! I have a pumpkin here if you want it.” She asked the prefect, holding the pumpkin out. She wiped the sweat off her forehead as she held the pumpkin out. She can’t wait to get rid of the little devil away from her.
