Quidditch Training Pitch, after class
Checking her pocket watch, Rora left the herbology classroom and pondered what she would do for the remainder of the day since her classes had wrapped up rather early. At this point, she was a month into her first year at Hogwarts and was soaking up every second of it. She let her feet casually carry her through the halls, across the grounds and eventually ending up outside of the Quidditch Training Pitch.
She had been here before for classes, but it was a fact that she wasn't the star student. For a girl who is profoundly intelligent, the athletic genes just weren't in her favor. After all, her parents were a chemist and a herbology, both of which do not involve sports-like activities unless one of the enchanted plants gets on the loose.
Glancing around, Rora noticed some wildflowers growing near the entrance. She started humming to herself and creating an adhoc type of bouquet. It was eclectic, but worked. Taking a soft inhale, she sighed peacefully and waltzed toward the pitch.
The houses had hosted tryouts for their first and second string quidditch players already, and Rora had eagerly sat in to observe. She knew her talents lay with the books, but that didn't stop her from oohing, ahhing, booing and cheering for her teammates. Her family's favorite team was the Scottish National Quidditch team, mainly because it was so close to home. They would frequent the home matches and were always decked out in SNQT swag.
Placing the little bundle of flowers on a bench, Rora drew closer to a house broom that was left out, presumably from a class or practice earlier that day. She ran her fingers down the handle and gently grasped it with her fingers. "Practice could make perfect, you know..." she muttered to herself, weighing the dangers of injury with the dangers of getting caught out of class flying solo.

Where's The Brake?!

Class was over, but Dancelos had homework to do, she had to write two scrolls on the new topic. She also wanted to watch Quidditch tryouts. It had been a week since Dancelos was selected for the team, but she was curious about how the newcomers were playing, so she wanted to go to the Quidditch Practice ground for the auditions after classes. She decided to write the scrolls while on the field, and grabbed her bag and left the classroom.
The weather was fine, beautiful wildflowers surrounded the Quidditch Training Ground. A few people had gathered for the audition and were preparing to compete. Dancelos sat on the grass. She put the robe aside, loosened her tie, and rolled up her sleeves. She was a little hungry, so she took some of the chocolates she always had in her bag. She took out a parchment, a pen, and the necessary book. Now everything was ready to start homework. She tensed a little, opened her book and began to read. From time to time she watched the flying people, trying to guess who would be chosen. That's when she noticed someone. It was a blonde-haired girl. She was a little far from the audition. I think it came from boredom and wanted to fly. The thing is, it was dangerous to fly in the area where she is now as she was trying to fly on the racers' course. Even if nothing happened to her, she was likely to be punished. Dancelos immediately got up and went to warn her.
+Hey,you should be further away, unless you want to wake up in the infirmary a week later!

Quidditch Training Pitch, after class
There had been quite a few flying lessons so far, but that wasn't Rora's top subject. She'd done fine, but nothing impressive to say the least. What a dream it would be to make the quidditch team. She thought gleefully and pulled the broom closer. She ran her fingers over the bristles and up the wood handle, closing her eyes and imaging the fresh breeze crashing against her face.
All of a sudden, a voice broke her train of thought and she whirled around on the balls of her feet. Flashing red with embarrassment, the unfamiliar voice came across as scolding and Rora assumed the girl must be older than she was. "Oh sorry, wasn't trying to intrude." That's when she caught sight of the wizards and witches in the air, flying around. If possible, she turned even redder. Oh no, it must be tryouts. She had completely forgotten. No way was she about to humiliate herself out there with the people in the stands watching.
Shaking her head, she snapped out of it and looked at the girl. The first thing that jumped out to her was the Slytherin colors on her tie. Rora had quite a few lovely friends in Slytherin. Ironically, her only enemy was in Slytherin as well. Ruddy 'ol Hilda Schneider. She had bullied her in their first Charm lecture and Rora hadn't been able to let it go. Hopefully this person isn't friends with Hilda. With a friendly wave, Rora tested out the waters to see what kind of Slytherin this gal was. "Well, my name is Rora, first year Ravenclaw. Clearly I'm not aware of what's going on in the quidditch world at Hogwarts. I simply came by to daydream a little and see if I could get off the ground on one of these things!"

The girl looked at her as if she wasn't expecting Dancelos' arrival.
-Oh sorry, wasn't trying to intrude.
I guess she didn't realize there were auditions. If she had known, she would logically not have flown there. The girl stared at Dancelos for a while, then dropped the broom and approached her. As she approached, Dancelos realized it was a Ravenclaw. She had met a few Ravenclaws, they were sweet people, but there was no rule that all of them would be sweet. When Dancelos was about to speak, the girl spoke.
-Well, my name is Rora, first year Ravenclaw. Clearly I'm not aware of what's going on in the quidditch world at Hogwarts. I simply came by to daydream a little and see if I could get off the ground on one of these things!
Yes, this girl was also a sweet Ravenclaw. Dancelos decided not to be as tough as last time and held out his hand.
+Dancelos Grey is Slytherin's first year. Obviously, it's hard to keep up with everything at Hogwarts. When I first came here, I almost collided with someone. And if you want to fly, you have to be a little further from here.

Quidditch Training Pitch, after class
A wave of relief washed over the blonde as the Slytherin's tone seemed to soften after her introduction. The last thing Rora wanted was enemies. As a subtle people pleaser to her core, the thought of having someone loathe her gave her some serious anxiety.
So far, she had done a great job making friends at Hogwarts. There were two in particular from her house and first year that had made her first few days at Hogwarts wonderful. As Rora began to get into her routine and schedule, she started to pile on the acquaintances but it was easiest to revolve back to her childhood friends and siblings who were already here. Making it a personal goal to branch out. She noted to herself.
Rora reached out and firmly grasped the girl's hand. Having three brothers, she had to learn quick to hold her own in all types of situations. "Dancelos - that is a lovely name!" Unique, interesting. Good first impression so far. A whiz and gust of wind hurled past them as someone on the pitch was within a few meters of them. Slightly startled, Rora retracted toward the edge nervously. "Starting to put those pieces together now that I'm almost getting knocked over myself..." She gripped the broom closer to her chest as if it would shield her from the players streaking past her faster than a muggle car would. "It's nice to meet another first year! Surprised our paths haven't crossed already in class or something. Anyway, where can students like me practice flying? Are you on the quidditch team?" Classic Rora. Ending her statements with multiple questions. The gal was eager to know as much as possible all the time.

The girl took Dancelos' hand with the same warmth.
-Dancelos - that is a lovely name!
It was really kind. Dancelos always had her doubts about everyone, but she couldn't say she didn't love this girl.
+Thank's ..-
As Dancelos was about to continue her speech, a person passed by at least as fast as an airplane. It hadn't hit them, but they had felt the wind.Dancelos stepped aside with a momentary reflex. Holding hands at the time, Aurora was dragged a bit by Dancelos but did not fall. Aurora did not understand what had happened, stepped aside a little more and continued speaking.-Starting to put those pieces together now that I'm almost getting knocked over myself...It's nice to meet another first year! Surprised our paths haven't crossed already in class or something. Anyway, where can students like me practice flying? Are you on the quidditch team?
Aurora's enthusiasm was pleasing to Dancelos. She wanted to talk more, especially when it was Quidditch, and she was also curious about Aurora. And they couldn't stand like a tree in the middle of the training ground anymore, could they? Dancelos made a come signal to Aurora and sat down next to her bag, pushing her notebooks aside.
+Yes, I was surprised too, although I haven't met everyone, I've seen many of them before but I can barely remember you. Flying away for auditions as far as I know It wouldn't be a problem. I'd train a little further south. Also yes, I'm on the Quidditch team, it's been a week since I was selected. What about you? It's obvious you're not on the Quidditch team because you don't know much about the rules on the field. Well, do you have anything else to do? (Duel etc.). Yes, it was a good question, one that you could at least ask someone you just met.

Quidditch Training Pitch, after class
The brunette Slytherin had swag, that's for sure. She effortless dodged the whizzing quidditch player while Rora probably looked like a buffoon. Sigh. Well, Dancelos hadn't been turned off as far as Rora could tell by her clumsiness so maybe that was a sign that they could be friends.
Rora propped the broomstick she had been clutching to death back against the wall. Twirling around, she followed Dancelos over and plopped down next to her. Her eyes widened as she eagerly heard more about Dancelos and being on the Slytherin quidditch team. How impressive! To be a first year and already make the quidditch team.
When the conversation shifted back to Rora, she reached into her bag and pulled out an enchanted badge that flashed with majestic mountains, beautiful highlands and various other outdoor scenery. She straightened up and smiled softly, but the pride in her voice was unmistakable. "I recently joined the Outdoors Club. I love everything outdoor related so I cannot wait for all of the adventures!" Glancing down at her bag, she reached in and pulled out her notebook. "I'd fancy a spot on the Dueling Team eventually, but I have to work on my form a little more until I'm ready for that. And then if there's anything herbology or potions related, I would love to learn more advanced magic in those subjects."
Flipping her hair behind her shoulder, she noticed her pocket watch had fallen out of her bag and onto the ground. She reached down the pick it up and panicked inside. "Blimey! We are very late to dinner. We should probably hurry over before the foods all gone." Rora rushed to pack her bag, now realizing just how hangry she was becoming. She paused and glanced back up at Dancelos. "I'm so happy we met and appreciate how kind you were on the field! I can't wait to see you more in class and let me know if you'd every like to study in the library together." Her eyes glinted and her tone dropped. "Or, ya know, get into some trouble. You'll come to learn that I'm a little bit of a prankster." She chuckled and flung her bag over her shoulder before she started down the field and back toward the castle.

The girl took out a badge. This was the badge of the Outdoor Club.
-I recently joined the Outdoors Club. I love everything outdoor related so I cannot wait for all of the adventures!
+WOW! I've heard of this club. Many people say it's beautiful. I'm sure you're having fun at the events too.
Glancing down at her bag, she reached in and pulled out her notebook.
-I'd fancy a spot on the Dueling Team eventually, but I have to work on my form a little more until I'm ready for that. And then if there's anything herbology or potions related, I would love to learn more advanced magic in those subjects."
Dancelos was starting to enjoy this conversation. The girl really seemed like a fun person.
+So you want to join the dueling team. I like to duel too. If I leave the Quidditch team, I would like to join the dueling team. And I hope you will join in the years to come. It would be nice.
The girl was listening to Dancelos intently, but she suddenly stood up in a panic.
-Blimey! We are very late to dinner. We should probably hurry over before the foods all gone.
She was surprised by this move. Therefore, at first he couldn't say anything. The girl looked at her again.
-I'm so happy we met and appreciate how kind you were on the field! I can't wait to see you more in class and let me know if you'd every like to study in the library together.Or, ya know, get into some trouble. You'll come to learn that I'm a little bit of a prankster.
+It's nice to meet you too. I'd also love to see you again, joke around, and also get in trouble together.
She said and winked slightly. The girl seemed pleased with her answer. Perhaps a new friendship could arise from such an event...
