Weird, odd, ,confusing, a piece of work, you name it.
Among the sea of students, nothing about her particularly stand out. Average in academic, not at all nearly as good as those people in the official quidditch team. Not strong enough, not accurate enough. Spell casting? Silly wand waving, mostly missed and backfired spells, anyone could tell she was bad at it from a mile away. Don’t even do a background check on her social skill. From the fact that only one Hogwarts student wish her a happy birthday says it all. Enemies were made every steps. Still quite a surprise some could tolerate her until now. Just wait until they are tired, and leave once and for all.
Maybe they were right for leaving. Who could stay with me for so long anyway? Some of those people she talked to during her first year never be seen again, probably busy staying away from someone like her. Even the annoying slytherin that she trusted to see her vulnerable state did not even bother to acknowledge her existence. So did that boy, he did it many times, so who knew when he will go back to that state. All those flaws of hers, were those crimes? To be fair, most of the things she did were uncontrollable, as if her brakes were broken. Things were perceived differently through her lens. With a feeling that strong, she loves and hates excessively. The girl is just a small mug with water that keeps on adding, and now it’s spilling everywhere.
It had been a week since a letter sent to her muggle friend, including a little present, handmade, special for the birthday girl. Not a single thank you, or even any reply was received. Seemed like even her childhood friend started to get bored of her. Little things could make her think of the worst case scenario. Perceived abandonment, that’s what it was, but for the young eagle, it was real. Sat in the great hall, eyes glued to the untouched food on the plate was the unusual gloomy sight of Aurora Ranvier. An unzipped school bag with a tag of her name was on the table, along with Lucifur the cat sleeping inside it. Her state was a big red flag. Approach with your own risk.

Breakfast in The Great Hall
As the sun rose, light filtered through the Booted Eagle dormitory in the Ravenclaw Tower and the young blonde first year batted her eyes open. Saturday, YES! Rora knew today would be spent in the library, but it was still exciting that it was the weekend. And blimey, she needed the break from school after the eventful days she had this week. There were enchanted gourds running around that she helped a few girls tackle. Lots of late nights spent doing homework. Lastly, she had a ball date. Blushing, she scowled. But, not a real date date. She gagged, thinking of the idea of romance. No thanks, I'll stick to Potions and Herbology
She got ready in a hurry, slapping on a dark red lip stain and trying to fluff her hair so it didn't look like she had just rolled out of bed. She put on her robes and added a crystal choker to spice it up, unsure if that was actually allowed in the library. Guess we'll see.
Making her way down the dreaded, endless staircases of Ravenclaw tower, she stolled into the Great Hall where wafts of breakfast foods met her nostrils. Her stomach let out an aggressive growl and she looked around to make sure no one heard. Scanning the room, the place was packed and she didn't see any of her friends with available seats. She noticed a girl sitting alone and waltzed over. "Hi there! This seat taken?" Before waiting for a response, she sat down and cozied up, grabbing a cup of tea and some sausages. Rora noticed a tag on her bag that read Aurora Ranvier. Gasping with excitement, she shot the girl a smile "Oh! Are you the other Aurora in Ravenclaw? My name is also Aurora, but I go by Rora. Pleasure to meet you. How do you prefer to go by?"

A sudden greeting voice hit her like a thunderstruck. Not every single day someone would approach a grouchy looking person in public, let alone sit at the same table. An unfamiliar girl was the source of the sound, and her remarks replied by a quick approval, “Sure” then put her focus on the texture of the great hall table as her finger tips caressing the ancient wood.
"- My name is also Aurora-"
“Excuse me, what?” She scrunched her eyebrows together, then looked up to the alleged Aurora 2.0. There are two Auroras, and maybe there are more. Blonde hair, blue eyes. Born with a barbie appearance, she just won a lottery. Gracefully sat down across the table with a warm smile on her face. Quite a contradiction of what was present on the cranky eagle. Mentally checked the boxes on where she excel and lack of, the insecurities came to the light for each ticks. The Aurora imposter won two categories already, looks and vibe. Is she a quidditch player? A good duelist? A skilled racer? Or maybe a walking encyclopedia? Anger wasn’t exactly the best descriptor of the emotion she was in, not quite. Intimidated, not by the other girl’s present, but by the unknown abilities that might be much greater than her own.
Name is not something that she should worry about at the moment. Never was copyrighted, therefore, it should be free for anyone to use including her and the people who had it all over the globe. It would be acceptable for her to have another with a shared name, but must not be a superior. Someone who is better than her, in many aspects. Someone who is not a tough act to follow. Then came another round of what ifs and would they game. Winnie, Violet, Everly, the top three people who interacted with her most, which Aurora would they prefer? And Nicholas, what if he likes that other version more? Would there be a day where people call her ‘the dislikeable Aurora’, or ‘the good for nothing Aurora’, or ‘the other Aurora’? Wait, didn’t she just call me that before? Something as harmless as it was could wash her senses overboard, especially in times when things did not go in her way.
Controlling her explosive emotion was harder than she thought. Maybe those with other visual senses could detect the dark smoke that almost covered her entire existence. She took a deep breath. Way too early to call a judgement, wasn’t it? One hand held the fork, slowly cutting the food into pieces, eyes glued back to the plate, unintentionally skipped the blondie’s question. “W-what house and what year are you in? Never thought I would meet someone with the same name as me” Ended the sentence with a little chuckle, not a light hearted one nor warm. Almost sounded forced. And still, whatever laid on her plate must be extremely fascinating that it got her whole attention.
