Juniper's nostrils flared. Henry had his hand ready to pull his wand out, as if he sensed some anger. Can humans smell anger? Juniper didn't know. But if they could, she would be the main smell. She felt rage drift through her body like a poisonous fog that messed up your brain and made you see red. She felt like a cartoon character, the red rising up until steam would shoot from her ears. Cody spoke like a child, because he was one. That's how he defended himself. That's what made this worse.

Henry stepped between them, and Juniper gritted her teeth. "Shut up, Henry!" She snapped. She felt bad for snapping at her friend like that, but she wasn't going to say sorry for it. She felt like he has no right to step in, not unless she needed help. She knew perfectly well she could handle herself. After all, she was so short that there wasn't much of her to handle. Moving to step around Henry, she shouted at Alec. "You SHOULD BE SCARED! You SMELLY, SLIMY, ROACH!" She shouted, in his face.

He countered Cody's words with mean words, and she knew that Cody would actually be hurt by this. And she knew that she was angry. Those were the things she was aware of, nothing else. She rolled her eyes as the cute boy NO! NOT CUTE! as the meany picked on Cody. He really thought he was something didn't he? With his perfect uniform and acting as if he knew everything. "Stop being such a smart-ass! " She yelled. Then she clamped her hand over her mouth. She's never said a cuss word before, and she felt horrible. She supposed she could eat a soap every flavored bean later to make up for it.

"You think you're SO smart! Let me tell you something! You're NOT! You're a butthole! Cody is really brave to wear something like this! Let alone YOU! Who's parents probably still pick out your clothes during the summer! It's called freedom, it's called expression! And you are making everyone think you're a jerk! A big fat jerk! She said, ignoring her fail at throwing the juice at him. It was horrible. Every time she's thrown something so far, she's missed. What happened to her baseball skills?

He fired words about Henry, and Juniper's blood boiled. How- how DARE he? He prances along, and insults Cody. Then he teases Cody EVEN more, then fires some words about Henry! Who did this kid think he was?

Then he turned to Juniper. She gave him a death glare, and she was offended that he even breathed the same air as her. "SHUT UP! I used to play BASEBALL! I actually can THROW! " She said, but she wasn't so sure. Her recent fails proved otherwise. Her face blushed furiously. She looked at her friends. She HAD failed in front of them- she shook these thoughts away. She was LETTING him get to her head. "What;s that supposed to mean?" She demanded.

She watched him fill the cup again, and she thought he would pour it on her. She backed away, but he handed it to her. Teasing her. Rubbing her fail in her face. She slammed the drink on the table, splashing orange juice on her arm. Then she lunged at Alec, reaching to punch him.

Cody smiled, turning to look at Scarlet, "Thank you so much for this bracelet! And thank you for the compliments, truly!" He unwrapped the bracelet, seeing a beautiful colored bracelet for the group of BOOM. He looked at Scarlet and Adeline, as well as Juniper and Henry. "I don't know what I did to get friends like you all. Honestly, you're all the best. Now, to deal with a problem." Cody turned, who had his back previously facing Alec, was now facing Alec, and well, he didn't need to squat to be face to face with the boy, as the part goblin was standing on the table, grimacing and staring down Alec.

What started out as a nice birthday, turned out to be a disaster. And the older Gryffindor seemed to be the cause of it. Maybe he was part of the chaos at Winnie's party, and if that was revenge, then it truly is a dish best served cold. The sad thing is, it might backfire, as it's one boy, against... oh lets see... one, two, three, four, andddddd five people. Was he really going to try to humiliate Cody? Was that what was going to happen? That's awful. But yet, it's nearly Halloween, and if the saying, Trick or Treat was living up to it's namesake, then Alec didn't give the boy any treats, not that it mattered to him anyways, and so he had to be tricked.

He leaned down into Henry's ears and whispered. "Do you think you can use the tongue tying spell on him, or more specifically, Mimblewimble? I'm sure it'll keep him from talking, and I'm sure that's the goal. Plus, he'll finally shut up about my outfit. I'm already flushed with embarrassment from him, and I would like him to be quiet and to not make fun of rainbows." Cody brought back his head. He was now grinning mischievously. Oh, but the look only lasted a few seconds, whether Alec saw or not.

The mentions of his "mommy" was rather insulting to Cody. Maybe he explained things in a preschool level. Maybe he needed to make it simpler. He snapped a comment to Alec, "Hey. Look at ME. Now. Let me make one thing perfectly clear. Ruin my birthday, and my group and I will ensure that you'll see a better place than Hogwarts, and trust me, you're too young to... DIE." To be fair, the group would get in trouble, but who would be the ringleader of this murder if it were to ever happen, and NO, it was NEVER going to happen. It was just a simple threat Cody made to the boy. It would be Cody who would be the ringleader of this oddly immersing situation. He gasped as orange juice splashed on Juniper.

"HOW DARE YOU. I mean, I didn't get your name and all, but I WILL TAKE YOU DOWN. NO ONE THREATENS MY FRIE-" Right at that moment, Juniper lunged at Alec. That suprised Cody, and in mid speech, normally that would make him madder than hell, but at the moment, who cared? He wanted so badly to join Juniper, but he knew he was weak. Meanwhile he had experience evading certain situations in the past. Was he ever going to do that? If situations were taken to a higher level of threat, yes, he would go in, try to drag Juniper away, and take her place in the fight, with the BOOM squad as a backup. No one, and I mean no one, harms Juniper. [/font]

Well, this little birthday party was already proving to be far more interesting than any of the ones she’d had in the past. Adeline and Juniper caught eyes as a random Gryffindor began insulting Cody, until apparently, Juni couldn’t take it anymore, and with a sly wink, attempted to dump orange juice on the boy’s head.

Things escalated very quickly from there, with Henry stepping in the middle of the conflict, the Gryffindor boy going on to insult both Juniper and Henry on top of what he’d already said to Cody, and Cody now standing on the table and yelling. And then, in a very bold move, Adeline watched the boy fill the orange juice glass once more and hand it back to Juniper.

Addie moved from the bench to sitting on top of the table, her feet now resting where she was seated before. Despite her dislike of this boy insulting her friends, she could feel herself smiling. She lived for this sort of conflict...and with the teams stacked as they were, the boy didn’t stand a chance.

Adeline pulled her wand out and aimed it, preparing to enter the fray, but as she watched the anger and frustration boiling over on Juniper’s face, she lowered it once more. This was not her fight--yet--and she didn’t want to take the satisfaction of wiping the smug smile off the boy’s face away from her friend. Instead, she simply called out, “Don’t be such a prick,” to him.

It was at this moment that Juniper lunged at the boy, fists flying. Addie leapt up in joyful surprise, now at full height on top of the bench. The familiar feeling of adrenaline began creeping in as she hoped beyond hope that Juni would get a few good strikes in. “Fight, fight fight!” she called out, not entirely yelling, but definitely loud enough to draw a bit of attention. Once more, Adeline held her wand up, ready to join in the attack at any moment.

Taking in a breath of air, the thirteen-year-old smiled, a sigh coming after as the release of the air. The large barrage of thoughts that had been swirling around within his head had been long earlier sent to a halt. His head had felt clear, -If only that had been able too last longer. Thinking clearly he knew what he was doing. He knew he could have stopped, but he didn't, and wouldn't. It was the mere actions of others feeding into it that made the situation satisfactory for him. They cared. It was a fault, a weakness in any justified course of action. It wasn't Alec too say whether their reactions had been different to say that there may have been a chance he left. Just when you think the interaction is winding down life grabs your playing cards and shuffles them. Alec had a good lot, the question was, was his above average set of cards in hands worth more then theirs? There was always the possibility of more just as there was the possibility of less. Someone is always going to be older then you, your always going to be young then them. Someone is going to have more than you, your going to have less then them. Just when one thinks they have enough they get turned over like a turtle on their shell.

The minutes had been fast, Alec steadying himself as he poured the glass before handing it to the girl and backing up. He'd come up with multiple ways for how this could go. He'd planned for this long before she knew what was happening, he'd backed up just enough, in the case that she was sane enough to juice him and be on with it. He just wanted to make sure even a splatter of the wretched thing avoided his uniform, he had figured he would prefer it in his eyes though it was acidic in nature. She didn't throw the juice. Alec had been watching her precisely, his mind went over her earlier words with a roll of his eyes, she hadn't been worth his time enough too reply. This situation was a stretch, she was lucky she been put in this position.

His judging eyes watched as she slammed the drink down, he had a feeling she'd at least broken one plate in the process. But his focus fell on the fact that the juice she'd gotten on herself was going to be sticky, he wondered if there was enough time in a school day too be able to head over to the restrooms and get washed up, not enough before classes. Really he didn't understand why they were even wearing normal outfits like that before classes, it was such a waste... You'd only have to go change out of them, the best thing to do could have been to go and change after. Especially if you were wearings things you considered nice, breakfast could get messy. There were the weird ones at the table, every house had them, the ones who'd forgotten spoons, forks, and even eating with your hands is apparently a thing. Just shove your have right in. The crumbs would get everywhere.

He instinctively moved too set his arms out as the girl, seemed to just explode, he was right in his calls in actions as she simply came after him, and he in that moment just held her back.

It was no trouble at all, it was surprising how easy it had been too keep her back. He was letting her fight like a ravaged animal, his arms holding her back, he let her stay and do that for a while. She was angry, he wasn't going to get physical and shove her, she was probably only eleven. It would look bad on his part, besides that seemed to be crossing a line he wasn't going too cross. Alec knew better than to let his mind travel to the reason for why. Or any reason at all, or any though at all. Maybe being a thoughtless zombie would be better, but he wasn't one of he was thinking about all this. He was focused watching her, he held her back in a way there her attempts to get to him would result in herself getting hurt. She was likely to slip he thought, with the way he was attempting to hold her back, he'd be able to catch her if she did, beyond that he'd done most everything he could. He didn't know if he was going to excuse himself from the situation or keep going. This particular girl was keeping him quiet, he realized that he was starting to gather himself with the focus of holding her back.

He didn't like that.

He let go, at the angle she had been at she would either fall or catch her balance enough too go on after that. He had too figure out what he was going to do next, and faster, he didn't trust that the girl would not start going after him like a savage animal once more Before he could arrive to his next though, someone swing, the next thing he knew, he'd been punched, his head snapped over Henry's way. It was a pain, but not painful enough. Alec could endure a lot more then that, and someone punching him in the face wasn't going to stop him(he disliked having the ability to feel the result of it no matter how much he could endure). Another thing he had encountered was the fact that this reaction was over the top. For anybody you just knew of course you'd be mad but not in the way Henry was... He knew Amara well.

Well, Henry shouldn't have been hurt by it unless he felt that it was true. Somewhat. He'd punched Alec that had to show for something... Did he feel guilty? Alec shook his head, but before he could do anything more, there was another, and she'd jumped on his back. Unlike someone usually would expect Alec handled this far better. He barely looked as if anything had happened, you wouldn't know the weight was there unless you were behind him and saw the girl. Alec having a sister, she was a rambunctious child especially at the age of four. Him being what one would call her primary caretaker, he endured these fits of wild activity, and entertained her attempts of being a legitimate monkey.

It wore her out enough too sit down in the afternoons so Alec would be able to get food for the both of them. She'd settled down a lot before Alec had to go to Hogwarts, but not enough that he didn't expect actions like this strander had taken to be taken by her. It was tea parties, music, dancing, and whatever this sort of thing was now that entertained her. Unlike this stranger Alec felt she did it because she liked being able to feel tall.

“You act as if you are any better and I find that entertaining.” Alec commented quietly. His smirk was back though he doubted she could see it. “There isn't a set rules, a moral code of mannerisms, maybe one unspoken or unbroken. You can say all you want speech is a thing, everybody has a mouth, but it's a threat when every time words come out someone can contradict you. Or worse you can contradict yourself.” Having this kid on his back was a slight annoyance but he could handle it. “If there was it would already have been broken by everyone involved that even tried to speak a word to me. Your making it worse when an act like this positions yourself in a way that encourages violence though it's primarily non-threatening.” Alec said, he was cooling down once more, this time from all the adrenaline. “It would have been an act of violence if I just so happened that I was the wrong victim. I wouldn't look it, nobody does. I just believe it would be rather disheartening to see someone fall to the floor because of you.” The stranger was old enough to be a Hogwarts student, not young like his sister, there wasn't an excuse.

He moved to give her a better way to get down if she wanted but rolled his eyes if she didn't.

“Birthday or not he's not getting any worse or better treatment. People aren't going to be nice to you about it, their not going to let off because it's your birthday. The factor would make it worse, your expected to act as certain way because if your age. Your not riding along the edge, your a massive boulder hurdling off of it.” Merlin's beard, he was actually invested now. He'd call it quits once he excited the situation, it was fair game for Alec too actually bully the kid after Alec left this situation.

“If you don't conform get ready to live with the consequences, just as there are consequences for the ones that do. Either toughen up and change your strategy, or get ready to change. The world doesn't wait on a waiting person, because the person should be lucky that the world is even there.” Alec said he looked at Cody, though kept his distance as too not set anybody off just yet.

With that Alec pulled out his wand, “Multicorfors” he spoke focused and intently, his wand point at Cody's clothes though he had it pointed in a way that made it look as none threatening as possible(This is the Clothing Color-Changing Charm feel free too decide whether it worked or not Cody).

If the spell worked:
Cody's outfit would change too a navy blue, Alec would smile small, less mocking like it looked to be as if his smile was attempting to be a comforting one. Before Alec got himself together and cleared his throat making his face go void of that. “It brings out your eyes.” Alec said, he turned, “don't think this is be the last you all will be seeing of me, I have plenty of time before I graduate, don't expect me to let you down easy as I did this time.”

If the spell failed:
Alec would gesture to his wand with a shake of his head. “There's a reason I'm going to a school for magic, my spell-casting isn't perfect.” His eyes fell on his wand for a moment before he looked up. “If your insistent be aware that you haven't dipped you toe in the water yet.” Alec cleared his throat before putting his wand away. “I trust it is far clear that I have many many years before I finish my schooling here. You'll all be seeing me again, don't expect me to play nice.”

Alec exits the thread(even if there is possibly a girl clinging to his back.)

[font=Century Gothic]A girl was mentioned by Henry, and for some reason, even Alec knew who he was talking about. The boy felt daft, perhaps more stupider than what daft truly stands for. Oh, the boy sighed, slightly morbidly. He turned to Henry, after he punched Alec, "Hey, bro, um, do you- I mean- uh- do you want to do something for me real fast? It isn't much! Just um, perhaps, after this, can I get a piggyback ride? I mean, Juniper can jump on if yer fine with it? Also, whose that girl you just said?"

NICKY ARRIVED! The boy thought, his smile causing a major grin upon his face. "HELLO! Um," The boy took a breath, glancing over at Juniper and Henry laying hands on Alec. "Yeah, welcome to my... birthday party? I guess. Oh thank you!" Cody called out to Nicky after catching the wrapped item. He was going to open it after Alec left. If he ever did. He smirked at Alec. "Yup. I'm real special. Everyone is on their birthday."

He now looked down at Alec with a suspicious look in his eyes. His left eyebrow squinted. He was now growling. "Get out." How dare Alec think so little about others. Was he maybe not celebrating birthdays? Do British kids really not celebrate birthdays like American boys and girls? That was an odd thought. A smile struck his face like a bowling ball making it's impact with concrete from a 40 story building. "Besides bro, well, Alec. Why would a birthday have consequences? Thats stupid. Let a boy have his own fun for once, and WHAT WAS I DOING WRONG? I just wore a rainbow uniform." He noticed that Alec cast the multicorfors spell, changing his outfit to a horrible blue. "ALEC! CHANGE IT BACK NOW!" No response, besides that it matches his eyes. Cody grumbled, looked at his clothes, now a dark blue.

Alec left. Cody silently cheered. He looked the BOOM group in the eyes, noticing that chaos seem to be down. Finally. And to be fair, Chaos was Cody's job.

"Ok, fellow BOOM members, time to see what Nicky, the founder of BOOM, got me, and trust me, I love everything my friends get me!" With that being said, he slowly unwrapped the package, and smiled. Quickly a flicker of recognition crossed his eyes, but for the moment, he was going to lie, act like he didn't know what it was. A yarn Yoda was in the package, but since Cody was pretending to be dumber than he really was, he decided to see if he could make Nicky feel better.

"Wait.... is that ME? I mean, I'm not green, but unless you meant that I'm always jealous, then I guess that fits! The outfit that he is wearing seems to be brown whereas our Hogwarts robe is black and my crest is yellow and black and has a badger on it. The ears are pointy, but mine are seemingly curved." He acted like he just realized something, a dramatic and audible gasp escaped his lips. "THIS ISN'T ME, IS IT? This is something I think I saw back in America! Um, um, is this.. is this... Yoda, from Star Wars?" Cody said, smiling. "I knew the whole time! Thank you so much Nicky for Coda! Um, Coda is a combination of Cody and Yoda by the way."

He grinned, putting the Yoda with his other stuff, by his hat, which he JUST took off. Now it was time to talk about the possible band.

"So, guys and gals, shall we decide on what to name our Classic Rock band for the Wizarding World?"[/font]

As she ran towards Alec, she was able to hear the chants of Addy and the voices of her friends. Wow, no one is trying to stop me! SHe thought to herself as she lunged at the boy. A fist flew past her, straight for Alec. Juni turned her head to see it was Henry who had punched Alec. Her heart swelled with pride for her friend, but she had been distracted for a split second. Alec reached out quickly and held Juni back. In her rage, she attempted to turn around out of his arms but he had her. She swung her arms, clearly furious that she could be held back like that. "Ergh!" She cursed her small size.

She felt weak. "Let me go you jerk!" She shouted. "I WILL BITE YOUR HAND IF YOU DON-" She threatened, then he let her go. A moment of victory quickly faded as she fell forward, unbalanced. "Ah!" She yelled. She stuck her elbow out, and fell to the ground. She brushed her stinging hands-off as she got up.

"Jerk!" She yelled. "It's cody's birthday, he can do what he wants. You don't know if he had permission or not to wear that!" Probably not. But still. "HOW DARE YOU!" She looked at the color. "Oh, it does look kinda good but STILL!" She shook her head, turning to Cody.

"So about that band... er... I'll pass! But, wait... I'm uh uh!" Part-goblin. "I'm not a part-goblin, Cody! Don't just make assumptions!" She said, frowning. It reminded her that on the train ride, he had tried to force her into saying what she was. She tried to push this aside. He was her friend now.

“Wait, what? Why are we just letting him walk away?” Addie asked of her friends, tones of disappointment and slight disgust present in her question. “He insulted and threatened all of you.” But as she turned away from her friends and back toward Alec, it seemed that the time for fighting had passed.

With a frustrated sigh, Addie hopped down from the bench and took her seat once more, as it seemed the rest of BOOM was perfectly content to just move on with the rest of Cody’s little birthday party. Adeline caught bits and pieces of the group’s conversation, but the remnants of the excitement and adrenaline that had been bubbling on the surface just moments ago made it hard to focus. So instead of trying to contribute to the discussion about Nicky’s present or whatever band they were talking about, Addie turned her attention to breakfast.

It wasn’t until Henry revealed six necklaces that she tuned back into what was going on.

“...to remind us of the club and our friendships to each other,” he finished, holding the necklaces out to them.

Hesitantly, Adeline reached out and grabbed one of them. It was a slice of pizza, which could join together with the other necklaces to create a full pizza. She felt her frustration subside a bit, and couldn’t help but smile softly as she ran her fingers across the gift. It was perfect, really, and very well-timed.

As she opened the clasp and slipped the necklace around her neck, she glanced around at all of her friends, confused at how she had managed to get to this point, with people who would be willing to go to battle for her, and for whom, she was willing to put herself at risk as well. Addie couldn’t even begin to comprehend the position she was in, so instead, she just decided to enjoy it.

“Thank you, Henry. This is brilliant,” she said simply, her usual vibrancy beginning to pick up again. “Well, I don’t know about all of you,” she continued, “but this is probably the most fun I’ve ever had at a birthday party.”
