A scream escaped his shaded lips. He had a dream that Gryffindor was going to beat them at everything. For a House he came to know and love? He didn't want that to happen at all. Like the saying goes, "Like Hell it won't."

He grimaced, his eyes a little watery. Yes, this boy was experiencing a traumatic dream. Oh, it's awful! Cody got out of his bed, the sun already up, but it was Saturday, a few hours before the Hufflepuff and Gryffindor Quidditch game. Cody was going to support the Hufflepuffs, and he had a strong devotion to see them win. But apparently, there were people out there that hated every fiber of his guts.

He went to the Quidditch Pitch, smiled at the looks of the stadium, but because of his nightmare he had this morning, he wasn't feeling too confident in himself, and that led him to be quite a bit moody. Professionals, or Freddy to be honest, said it was simply a delusion that Cody has been facing himself with. His eyebrows burrowed. He was angry, and he was a diehard Hufflepuff fan. Was there really about to be someone to take all of his joy away from him? He looked at the Gryffindor girl, "HEY YOU." A tone of meanness was in his voice, and he wanted it gone.

Today was the day. Valerie's first-ever Quidditch game. Well, not her first first Quidditch game. Obviously, she had watched her siblings play Quidditch back home beforehand, but this was her first Hogwarts Quidditch game. And she was going to make sure her team won.

She showed up on the Quidditch pitch around 30 minutes before noon, when the game was supposed to start. She looked over the stadium, breathing in the cold air. She had sported a red and white striped shirt and a black skirt, to show support for her fellow Gryffindors. In her hand, she held a Gryffindor flag, patterned with the iconic red and gold colors and the Gryffindor crest.

She walked towards the railing, leaning over the edge to watch the for now benched players. This may have been her first game, but that wouldn't stop her from being competitive as ever. She had to admit, she was a pretty competitive person. A stubborn one, too, or at least that's what her mother would say. But she didn't mind. It just meant she was more determined to win! Her cheerleading would be the set reason Gryffindor would win today, she was sure of it.

"YEAH! GO GRYFFINDOR!" She yelled, waving her flag. Suddenly, she heard a voice call from behind her. "Huh? Me?" Val turned, realizing she was the only one at her spot at the moment. There stood a short, blonde-haired Hufflepuff boy (or Valerie assumed he was a Hufflepuff). Val didn't know who he was, but whoever he was, he sounded angry. She didn't like his attitude. After all, what had she done? She was just standing here cheering. "Um, yeah? Can I help you?" She said sternly, narrowing her eyes at the boy.

Cody gasped dramatically. Well, if he was going to be glared at sternly, and be talked to quite oddly, he figured she had something to hide.

"Hufflepuff rules. Gryffindor drools." Granted, he didn't officially mean it, but he was rooting on his House, so what could he say besides... Hufflepuff and Gryffindor have better tie up. A groan was sounded.

Cody proceeded his cheer, "We're Yellow, we're Black! But we're so much more than that. We're the Badgers, yes we are! Go Hufflepuff! Reach that star!" A cheer was made.

After that, he squinted his eyes, up to the girl's face. "It's time for Hufflepuff to take the throne. What do YOU think about that? I'm sure you'll want Gryffindor to win, but now, I will always be here. I will be known to everyone!" Ok ok, maybe the boy was perhaps talking in a monologue a little too much, but that was a trait the boy had, and he regretted it. But how in the hell would people know that Hufflepuffs rule? Sterotypes befell on Hufflepuff when the Purebloods or Halfbloods come to Hogwarts, and this was odd.

Cody should've been in Slytherin, but the Sorting Hat placed him in Hufflepuff. Perhaps he had a sweeter side to his cruelness, perhaps a kinder side to chaos. But he needed to fuel his chaos, and it seemed to be too hard to do that when no one actually paid any attention to him.

"Would you get me a..." Cody grabs his pumpkin juice, and dumps it on the Gryffindor girl, "well, more pumpkin juice." He smirked.

Valerie gasped, looking down at the pumpkin juice now staining her shirt. Oooh. Now she was pissed. She didn't know what this boy was trying to do with his dumb cheers and Gryffindor slander, but Val didn't like it. And she wasn't going to accept it. She wiped the pumpkin juice off her shirt, to the best of her ability, at least, and trudged up to the boy.

To be honest, she didn't usually get angry easily. She was usually a pretty chill person and tried to reason with people first. But she was tired, and ruining a girl's outfit was just crossing the line. Besides, she hadn't done anything wrong. She just came to cheer on her team and hopefully win a quidditch game. But now she had other intentions, and that was to get back at this snarky little Hufflepuff boy.

"What the hell is your problem?" She growled at the boy, her stern tone being a surprise even to her. "Clearly," she said, taking a firm step towards the boy and grabbing him by the collar of his shirt. "Gryffindor will win."

She wasn't one to turn to violence either, but her anger had gotten the better of her this time.

The gasping of the part veela made him smirk. Of course, he was grabbed at his shirt's collar, and he growled. What his problem was, is rather simple. He was faced with someone who refused to betray their own house just to root for the opposing house. Of course, that was what he was doing now, but he was feeling rather subordinate.

"Hell no. Gryffindor will NOT win. How dare you assume that? Hufflepuff will reign champion. Do you DARE to go up against me? Especially after you grabbed someone SHORTER than you? Let me tell you something, this part goblin WILL fight." Cody evilly smiled,

The young boy took a few moments to think. He was going to cast a spell on the girl, well, the one he dumped pumpkin juice on quite rudely and especially on purpose.

Incendio. The spell the part goblin was going to use. Was it going to hit? He grabbed out his wand, shook himself from side to side violently just to be dropped out of her hands, and then backed up a few, muttering out the words VERY carefully, and in it's syllables. "in-SEN-dee-o!" He cried, the jet of flames roared out of his wand.

It hit the girl, and it sparked two flames. One on her left shoulder and one on her right foot. It was a success, and the boy whooped in celebration. He was proud of himself. "Are you SURE that Hufflepuff will lose? Trust me, I'll battle you anytime."

Della had arrived at the Quidditch pitch early, but she wasn't yet intending to find a seat. Early in the week, she realized how good of view the stands get of the castle and the grounds. It would be a great place to sketch. Della wasn't sure if non-players were allowed at the pitch during the week, so used the upcoming Gryffindor and Hufflepuff game as an excuse to enter the stands. Sure, she was ecstatic to see the game and learn how Quidditch even worked, but she also wanted to get a good sketch of the enormity of the castle to send home to her cousin.

Before she could scope out the perfect spot, Della heard a commotion nearby. It seemed like a Hufflepuff boy and a Gryffindor girl were having some sort of spat. Della recognized them as being first years, but she hadn't officially met them yet.

The boy, in what Della thought was a very un-Hufflepuff fashion, poured his pumpkin juice on the girl. The girl tried to grab his color in retaliation, but he was able to get loose. Then he did something horrendous, at least in Della's mind—was all this the normal fare at Hogwarts?—he cast a spell to light her on fire.

Della dropped her sketchbook, and she jumped into action. She removed her scarf and quickly ran over to her fellow Gryffindor and started to put the flames out.

Oh, this was too far. Val wasn't exactly scared of fire, but she didn't quite like it either. To say she internally panicked would be an understatement. But of course, she didn't let herself express it. She wouldn't be giving this tiny Hufflepuff boy any more satisfaction.

She watched her breath, careful not to panic. She was about to start patting the fire out with her flag before the feeling of a soft scarf met her shoulder. She turned around, meeting the eyes of another Gryffindor girl. She looked about her age. Val had probably seen her before, but she had never really met her.

"Thanks," she said gently under her breath, a tone of relief clear in her voice. Val turned back to the boy. "I'm gonna wipe that bloody grin off your face. You think it's cool to set me on fire?" She stepped aggressively towards the boy.

She reached into her pocket, fingers curling around her wand. But then she thought. She didn't really want to hurt this boy. Plus, she didn't know many spells, so anything she did might go completely haywire. She let go of her wand, leaving it to rest in her pocket. If she was gonna fight, she would fight with nothing but her fists.

That young part goblin snorted, another gryffindor girl came up, a first year it seemed. "Della." He said, his eyes glaring at her. Granted, he was paying a lot more attention to who got sorted and who didn't. And right now, Gryffindor was a House he seemed to be angry at. Was that the way he was going to treat others? Hopefully not.

"Why would you extinguish that?" Cody asked. He seriously considered using his wand again, but thought better. He put it in his pocket rather harshly.

A fist fight would do him good. Would anyone care if he got harmed, probably not, except for Juniper of course. Gah, he was in a dilemma right now, and if he cared enough about himself, he would try to run, if the two girls were going to chase him down.

"Aww hell. You jerks. Why? I was only here to root on the Hufflepuff Game!" Cody didn't bother adding in what he did, or said, to Valerie prior to her encounter with the boy. Oh, boy.

He was angry. You could tell. It was almost as if you could imagine steam pouring out of his ears. Danger was what he thrived for, but if he was to be boxed in by two girls, or two people in general against him, that was what he would run from. At this moment, he felt that he could wait a few minutes. See how things are going so far.

Just to root on Hufflepuff? Just to root on Hufflepuff? Was this boy crazy?

"No, you're a liar. You spilled pumpkin juice all over me- I didn't even do anything to you!" She snarled. She was probably scarlet red right now. Yeah, she was mad. For a Hufflepuff, this kid was an absolute, selfish little jerk. A bully, even. Picking on random kids who just wanted to enjoy some Quidditch. Then proceeding to act like he was the victim?

She looked back over at her shoulder. Yep, it was still on fire. She scowled. At least the Gryffindor girl who had helped extinguish the flames a bit. What was her name? Della. That's what the boy had called her. By the way he said it, she presumed the two didn't get along so well either. Perhaps this kid really wasn't the best at making acquaintances.

No matter, the flames didn't really hurt. A light burn, if anything, luckily her layers of clothing stopped any severe injury. At least for now.

Right now, her priority was keeping herself from beating this boy up. For a couple more minutes, anyways. Perhaps the conflict really could go peacefully, though, it was highly unlikely. Valerie was the revenge type anyways. She couldn't simply forgive him. To be honest, she didn't think anybody would forgive someone for setting them on fire.

"Look, I don't know what your problem is, but setting people on fire is not cool," she snarled. She really didn't know what she wanted. An apology? Just a chance to fight back? Either way, she'd figure it out eventually.

Val wasn't going to fight back? Just threaten him? That's just awful. A prideful, yet horrifying shriek left the boy's lips. He was going to scream bloody murder. Why? What's wrong with fighting Cody? Is it just because Cody hasn't gotten hurt?

"Val. I want to fight. Fight. If you don't I'll- I'll- I'll do something. Something to you. Maybe Flipendo, maybe Fumos. It's time to fight."

The part goblin took great insult when no one wanted to fight, then again, it was also that that got him in trouble, a warning, from several first year students. Cody didn't have to pay any attention to those pesky, troublesome first years. After all, he intended on sneaking into Hogsmeade, and he did have a Fake Permission Slip, hopefully no one notices.

"You know what? Here." Cody threw down his wand, pulled back his arm to strike Val. He had quite a bit of anger, envy, and jeleousy, but then again, that was all Cody seemed to feel anymore.

If the punch were to hit, Cody would jump up in down, clapping, in glee, like an idiot. However, if it missed, Cody would grumble, bring his left arm back, but it's not clenched, it's in the form of a slap. He was going to slap her if he missed. But wait, he thought about it.

Maybe it was time for Cody to leave?

With that in mind, he grumbled and stomped off.
