Clair whipped around when the door opened to see a girl with mascara dripping down her face, the girl was crying and seemed to not notice @Opeila Winters or Clair, unsure of what to do Clair looked to Opelia, but then decided that she should talk to the girl just like Opeila had. She stepped closer to the girl, only to jump back in fright, as the girl let out a loud sob, calming herself down Clair managed to walk up to the girl, she tapped the girl's back.
"umm hello? My name is Clair Fernandez, first year Ravenclaw. Can I help you?"
She smiled at the girl, it felt like the right thing to do, a smile made things brighter.
"if you want me to leave you along I can. I understand, but it helps to talk about it." Clair knew this was true, she knew it really did help, she knew that it made a world to talk your problems away, she hoped the girl would agree too.
She turned to Opeila "can you help me out " she mouthed, hoping she did not sound like a total looser.
Turning back to the girl she smiled again.
The feeling of helping is a great feeling.

Opeila sent Clair an encouraging. "Yeah, I was more my dad's little girl than my mum's too. But first of all I was my grandmother's little girl. Her and my dad raised me mostly. My mum was... busy." Buried in her own world. Opeila pressed her lips together, rather unsure what to think as it was so easy to her to talk about her past at this moment. Normally it brought her to tears quite quickly but not right now.
"Well, if they love me is another topic. They tolerate me. They care for me. They treat me decently. That's enough to me.", the third year responded to Clair's statement that she hoped that Opeila's new family loved her. They barely knew her, how would they be able to love her? Lysander might have taken a liking to her, but she was not naive enough to believe that he loved her like a brother. They got along, they could work as a team, that sufficed.
Izzy? Opeila pondered for a bit, but she couldn't remember anyone with that name. "I doubt that she's a third year. I'm in that year and house, so she would be in classes with me then, but I can't remember anyone with that name.", she told Clair.
She was taken aback by the first year's next words. "Um, that's just a lie. Who told you that? I've been going to Hogwarts for two years and I've never heard that Ravenclaws hate Slytherins. Not as a general thing at least, sure there are individual conflicts between people. Admittedly I have met a few Ravenclaws I don't like, but that has nothing to do with your house. I have friends there." Opeila shook her head.
"House conflicts are not a thing, at least not for most. Apparently Gryffindor vs Slytherin used to be a thing once, but that's also gone now and I have to say that I find it rather disconcerting to hear that there are people behaving like that. Just ignore it. There are jerk Slytherins. But there are also halfwit Ravenclaws." She shrugged. And there it was Slytherin that still had this old reputation for excluding people based on their house or blood...
The door opened and another girl stormed into the bathroom, past Clair and Opeila. She rushed straight to one of the sinks and held a black stain on her sleeve under water, soon starting to cry. It was Clair who first walked over to her classmate and offered to listen to whatever bothered the child. Opeila furrowed her eyebrows a bit. It... was only the stain on her sweater, wasn't it? Surprised she blinked when Clair turned to her again, silently forming words in her direction. Sighing inaudibly, Opeila walked over to the sink as well, getting her wand out. "It's alright, let me fix that for you.", she said softly and gently took the girl's arm that was in the stained sleeve.
Pointing her wand at the stain, she formed the shape of an 'S' and murmured "Scourgify." The two first years would surely learn that spell in class soon, but for now Opeila was happy to help them out. "See, all clean. It's all fine."

Logan looked down at her sleeve where there was on longer a stain. She had ignored the first girl's attempt at talking to her because her mind was completely on the sleeve of the royal blue sweater. Her mouth was slightly open in awe as she rotated her arm to look at the place on it that was only seconds before, clouded with a spot of black. A small smile quirked it's way onto her lips as she made eye contact with the girl that had used the spell. Her eyes were a beautiful bright green, noticed by Logan. "Thank you." She said quietly to the girl. She looked in between the two girls, noticing how similar the two of them looked, with dark hair and bright eyes. " I'm Logan. Logan Hughes. I'm a Hufflepuff. This is my first year at Hogwarts. " She smoothed out the yarn. "You don't mind if I sit here, do you?" She asked, a slight quiver in her voice. " I made a fool of myself in class and I just don't want to go back. " She said, her voice heavy with deep emotions and her thick accent, a faintly decipherable blend of Irish, English and Scottish.
