A Little Word of Advice
»-----------------------------------------♡------------------------------------------«Valerie was overall a chill person. She always gave things, and people, chances, no matter how annoying or rude or an absolute pain they were. But homework? That, that was a completely different story.
If she had to write an essay about how much she hated it, she would. It would probably be three pages. But that was probably the only kind of essay she'd want to write. Today, she was taking on a worksheet for potions, a test in history of magic to study for and a long overdue essay for charms. To sum it up, more than usual.
Usually, she studied in the Gryffindor common room. But recently, she had taken a liking to the library. Not that she liked the environment. The dust made her sneeze. The books were practically ancient. She feared the tall shelves could collapse at any moment. And worst of all, she could never find anything in the library. It was as if they had books about everything but what she needed.
But something about just felt, comforting. The aura, the quietness. It helped her focus, plus for some reason it gave her a feeling of nostalgia and comfort. She hummed as she skipped down an alley of shelves, all the books looking ancient as ever. She paused at a certain shelf, filled with books about potions.
"Come on, please please please please please..." she muttered to herself, running her finger along the books. "Ahah!" she whisper shouted, pulling out a book. She coughed as she dusted off the ancient book. She wondered how long it had been sitting there.
She walked over to a table, wiping the dust off with her sleeve and taking a seat. She lay out her items, scrolls, a quill, the textbook she had pulled and a few more that she had brought herself. She took a deep breath, rolling up her sleeves and unraveling the scroll. She opened her book and began to work, answering each question with the help of her book.WC: 336 Words@Sarah Lightwood
