Why is she interested
Aurora grew up with the art influence from her mother, and she has a massive appreciation for art. The one thing she always wants to try out is to sing. Although she knows very well she doesn't have the talent to have a good voice at such a young age, she is okay i mean, she's not tone deaf though .
Also, it is not every day you see a choir with frogs on their hands, at least not in a muggle world.

Frog Choir
The Fall Ball is right around the corner, and this year, the Frog Choir has been invited to perform! Pericles is hosting practice in the Rehearsal Room, with some interesting items of note: the frog bins are waiting for their partners atop tables, along with their performance cushions, teeny tiny hats, and a bowl of apples. Half of the room is hidden in a great big cloud. What's all that about...?[font=Copperplate Gothic Light]Something wicked this way comes....[/font]
If you'd like to join the group- whether you want to perform in the Fall Ball or not- you can post in this scene to fulfill the "200 word sample post" requirement. If you are already a member, you don't have to join this practice to get in on the Ball performance. Joining our Discord isn't mandatory either, but is still recommended, as that's where we discuss aspects of our performance, hold votes, claim lines, and get live updates!
If you want to sing in the Fall Ball performance, please either owl me or react to the Discord group ping. Some songs will feature solo parts, I need our numbers!

Juniper loves amphibians so much. She owns many books on them at home and finds them adorable.

Juniper looked around her. Most people were here to sing like Ariana Grande or whatever, and show off their scary high vocal range. But not Juniper. Her singing was not good, but it wasn't terrible. It just... was. It was not music to anyone's ears, and she disliked singing anyway. No, she was here to be a handler. This position meant she got to work with frogs, how awesome was that? It was a dream come true, she loved those guys. Those cute faces, everything.
She had her hair tied back, and she wore a pink shirt and white jeans. In her hand was her own toad, Ribbit Browney Jr. She knew she didn't need him, but she wanted to bring him to show off her knowledge and love. "Hi, I'm Juniper, but you can just call me June. Like the month." She said, once it was her turn. "So... I wanna be a handler... because I love amphibians. They're... adorable and amazing. But, um... I have some facts I read when I was younger I find cool about them." She said. She held out her hands, which were wet. "As you can see, I have wet my hands. This is because I will be talking about my toad, and holding him. Frogs have thin skin that can't dry out, so you have to make sure your hands are wet when you hold them. The reason why their skin is so thin is so they can breathe." She said, matter-of-factly. She held her toad. "Now, Ribbit here has his own encloser that has a handle to be carried around. He has wood in there, moss, plants and a few rocks. However, frogs or toads will swallow small things so the rocks have to be big." She said.
"Speaking of swallowing, did you know frogs and toads swallow their food whole? So, you have to make sure you don't give them too big amounts of food." She said. "So... yeah. I guess I just think I would be really good as a handler, and yeah." She said, awkwardly.

Della loves animals! She used to catch frogs all the time in her backyard. She is excited to take of the singing frogs.

Della surprised herself. She had signed up for the school choir auditions. She would have never done this at homeβstanding on stage in front of other people and singing? That wasn't her scene. But Hogwarts had a choir unlike any of the muggle ones she knew about. Hogwarts's choir had singing frogs, and it needed people to hold and care for those frogs.
So here Della was, at a choir audition, with an essay she had written about frogs. She walked into the rehearsal room and smiled at the third-year director Pericles Dralt. "Hi, my name is Della Barfield. And I'm auditioning to be a frog handler. I love frogs. And I know I will take great care of Hogwarts's frogs."
Della took a deep breathβshe hoped her nerdiness would be an asset in this situation. She pulled her sketchbook out of her bag. She had drawn various species of frogs at many different angles, and even included a few toads, too, to note the differences. She unrolled her essay and begin to lecture about the eating habits, sleeping habits, breeding habits, swimming habits, and really any other habits of frogs she found interesting. She included a few paragraphs about the differences between frogs and toads. She even described how to care for young tadpoles and potential strategies to breed them into talented singers. At the end, she awkwardly bowed and hoped Pericles hadn't fallen asleep.

"Ever since I was little, I really liked the adorable little frogs and toads that you see in the garden. My mother and brother was never a fan but I loved them so I would move them out of the way and make sure they were safe to prevent them getting hurt when someone accidentally stepped on them or worse, my brother decided to be a jerk. I considered getting a toad when I was getting a pet for here but ended up getting a rat because it was adorable. But toads, rats, lizards, all of those pets that seem unloved by other students are among my favourite. They are so frickin' cute, I can't. I'm not much of a singer myself but I like looking after the creatures, so I figured I could help out as a handler or something? I think it would be a fun way for me to care for them, whilst being part of a really cool group. I mean, let's be fair, who doesn't want to listen to a frog choir? Frogs are fantastic and music is great - and dancing is super fun - so why not just combine them all?"

Lillian loves to sing, so a singing group sounds very interesting and fun to her. Also, frogs are adorable.

Lillian walked into the Rehearsal Room with her heart pounding out of her chest. She hadnβt even started her audition and she was already shaking with nerves. She had no reason to be this nervous, she had practiced her song a million times in preparation, and she loved the song. It wasnβt very long or impressive, but she hoped that her emotion would be enough. She smiled nervously at the people in the Rehearsal Room, took a few deep breaths, and began her audition. βHe-hello! My name is Lillian and Iβm auditioning to become a singer. I will be singing Lifeboat by Heathers the Musical for my audition.β She took a deep breath and began to sing. Lillian closed her eyes and focused on the words, as she tried to make her surroundings blend into the background. To make everything but her voice fade to black. Just her voice in a black void. This helped to calm her nerves. When she had finished singing, she opened her eyes and smiled nervously. That wasnβt horrible. She had sung on pitch and she sung the correct lyrics. She could have been louder, but oh well, she had sung her audition piece, now all she could do is hope. Lillian then said, βThank you for taking the time to listen to my audition!β

Edme enjoyed singing as a side sort of activity, though was too nervous about really ever acting upon choir or theater. Joining Hogwarts, Edme decided it was time to say "YOLO" and dive into the deep end. So, joining the Frog Choir was a way to engage in activities outside of her bubble. As an alto, she has a way of blending in while still helping out greatly.

Edme stepped awkwardly into the room, waving at the people in there and immediately regretting it because of how stupid it looked. Standing before them, she cleared her throat and inhaled sharply, a little too sharply as they immediately started coughing. That probably wasn't good for ones voice, but eh, what did they know about singing.
"Hello. I am, uh, Edme and I'm auditioning to be a singer. Alto, that is, I uh, can't do high. The song I will be preforming is Somewhere Only We Know. Uh, thank you?" she cringed at the quiver in her voice, hoping those in front of them didn't notice.
Taking a deep breath in, they let their arms flopped plainly off to the sides, feet plant on the floor, and eyes look up in determination. The song was a bit cheesy, she'd admit, but it was the only song that she could find that best presented their abilities. She began to sing, a solid, plain bit of the song. It came out in even notes, save for the accidental loss of breath at one point, though a quick save.
Once the song was finished, they smiled awkwardly. "Thank you." she couldn't help but grin like an idiot once it was all over with.

Everly shifted rather awkwardly on one foot as she cupped a toad in her hands (which she'd impulsively named Buttercup. It seemed to like that name, so Buttercup it was) delicately. She'd heard of the Frog Choir before, but never really considered joining until Starlee recommended she did. Curious as she was, she'd decided to take the Slytherin's advice and audition, which was how she'd ended up in this precarious situation.
Everly had never really been known as a singer. She could play an instrument, yes, but her voice wasn't something she'd considered as a talent. She wasn't... bad, per se (maybe?), but she also wasn't a singing prodigy. Somehow, though, Starlee had managed to convince the stubborn Gryffindor to try out for the Frog Choir.
(To be honest, it hadn't taken that much at all. She got to hold a nice little frog and spend time with Starlee, so she'd already internally agreed the moment Starlee brought it up.)
Clearing her throat, Everly took a small breath, and channeled the Everly-confidence that, for some reason, got her up here. "Hi! I'm, uh, Everly." Off to a great start already. "I'm here to try out as a singer. Handler. Sing-dler." She nodded convincingly. "I'll be singing -" her brain short-circuited for a second "- You Charmed the Heart Right Out of Me by Celestina Warbeck." It wasn't a song Everly was quite familiar with, but it was one of Adeline's favorite songs, and Everly trusted Adeline's judgement.
"Oh, my poor heart, where has it gone?
It's left me for a spell
But I don't mind, 'cause with you I find
I'm always feeling well..."
Accompanied with Vatasha's constant croaking, the Everly-confidence began to grow.
"You charmed the heart right out of me
Don't need no broom, I'm flying free
I think by now it's plain to see
I'm nothing without you!"
By the time she'd reached the end of the song, Everly and Buttercup had been swaying along to the song, fully immersed.
Perhaps she would enjoy the Frog Choir more than she thought.

She took another deep breath in as tucked her arms behind her back and began. Thorn could feel the music pulsing through her veins as she hit the high notes. It was a sensation she had never felt before, It was like she was floating the song slowly came to the end. She stared sheepishly at the floor a little embarrassed. "Well anyways" she paused shuffling her feet a bit "Thank you for taking the time to listen to my audition". She quickly exited the room, needing too get away. She had a bag of mixed emotions she needed to sort out.
