The Charms Classroom
Out of breath, Rora pushed open the door to the charms classroom with all her might and let out a faint "Ugh" as she fumbled with the handle. While she was average height at around 5' 5", she was pretty scrawny and not the most athletic.
Shaking off the stressful vibes of nearly being late to one of her first classes of the school year, Rora stood at the back of the classroom as professor read off the names of partners for the lesson. It was a jam-packed class with first years from all the houses. Rora recognized a few students from her house, Ravenclaw, and gave them an excited wave and smile. Glancing down at her syllabus, it looked like today they would be learning the Dancing Feet Spell and the Mending Charm.
"Accola, Aurora and Schneider, Hildegard" said the professor. Rora took a step forward and looked around to see who her partner was. Once they made eye contact, she took the seat next to Hildegard and reached out her hand with a smile "Hello Hildegard, you can call me Rora for short. It's a pleasure to meet you!"
Rora examined the girl. From the looks of her robes, she had to be in Slytherin which immediately delighted Rora. One of her friends, Starlee, was a second year Slytherin. She admired their cunning, intelligent nature and her aunt was even a Slytherin in school. Coming from a pureblood family on her mother's side, Rora had grown up with a plethora of Slytherins her entire life and often thought they were misunderstood as dark wizards gave them a bad reputation.

The weather was a bit cloudy that day but it did not matter that much as it was time for the first year's first Charm class.
Charm was her favorite subject, however the disable girl was arrogant and as she learned what was the spell they would be learning she switched her mentality.
Instead of following the class to learn to cast those two pathetic spells she would just chill and play around.
The teacher putted her with a ravenclaw called Aurora Accola.
Accola a blond girl with blue eyes, who was taller than her, she did look friendly when she presented herself.
-Hello Rora, yea nice to meet you too some people call me Hilda for short, feel free to call me that i guess. The snake replied.
As soon as she noticed the blue on her robe Hildegard immediately thought of one thing :
- Nerd !
Well anyway it was time to practice and Hilda just wanted to get it over with so she quickly casted the two spells she had to learn :
-Tarantallegra She casted on a chair, making it dance, then a few second after she casted another spell:
-Reparo, she said, repairing an object that was broken specifically for the purpose of training with that spell.
Okay that's one thing done, Schneider blabbed about.
Good luck about it i guess Rora She said, while just chilling on her chair bored and waiting for the class to be over.

The Charms Classroom
"Ok, Hilda it is." Rora nervously opened her The Standard Book of Spells (Grade 1) and placed her Magical Theory book back into her bag. While Rora was exceedingly intelligent and adaptive, she had only read her Charms books once over before coming to Hogwarts. Heck, she had read all of her potions books at least five times - once per year since her brothers finished their first year at Hogwarts. Her books were rather ragged and beaten, with obvious prior use from her siblings. Rora did come from a wealthy wizarding family, but they preferred to spend that on hosting parties and travelling the world rather than crisp new books.
She gaped as Hilda whip out her wand and effortlessly perform a couple of spells. Never one to back down from a challenge, Rora took a deep breath and straightened her stance. "Tarantallegr-uhhh" Rora choked on the last part of the word and aggressive sparks shot out from her wand, knocking the chair back a few feet. Absolutely mortified, Rora cleared her throat, tried to copy Hilda and exclaimed "Reparo!" The chair shot back another couple of inches and Rora slumped her shoulders. She didn't even think Reparo was on the docket for a while, but Hilda nailed it so Rora thought she might as well give it a go, too. Well, this is embarrassing. I'm not doing Ravenclaw justice right now.
"Erm, Hilda. Would you mind showing me how you did that? I guess I am more of a potions gal than a charmer. You're just such a natural!" she smiled slightly with a humorous tone in her voice, trying to lighten up the mood and get on Hilda's good side. By Hilda's tone, it seemed like she needed a little extra coaxing and complimenting to get her to help Rora out.

-Oh come on that's super easy ! Aren't you supposed to be smart ? You're a ravenclaw Rora! The Slytherin replied.
Rora had just broke Hilda's expectation of what a ravenclaw was like, making her esteem of ravenclaw lower down, after all if they were not "smart" what was the quality of the blue house ?
-Well since I'm kind of bored why not ? She said.
Why not have some fun ? She added to herself.
-Look all you need to do is this, look carefully.
The mean girl did her wand movement and incantation as fast as she could so that the ravenclaw would not be able to follow up
- Tarantallegra Schneider casted on Rora.
Hildegard tried as she could not to laugh out loud and make the classroom notice what she just did.
Before the casting effect was off, the disable kid casted another spell :
-Finite Incantatem
So that no one would notice the little dance and tell it to the teacher.
-Hope I helped, nerd She added while limping back to her seat.
-Which other spell can I use to have fun with this one ? Steleus ? Mucus ad Nauseam? Reducio? Illegibilus? There is so much hahaha. The wondered.
After all this class may not be as boring as she would think.

The Charms Classroom
A lump grew in Rora's throat at Hilda's downright rude remark about her intelligence. Her eyes glinted as she folded her arms and cocked her head toward Hilda, somewhat judgemntal. What a mean thing to say to someone... She must have some deep rooted insecurities if she is going to attack ME for being courageous enough to ask for help when I needed it. Rora was generally kind and sweet by nature, but it was obvious that Hilda intended for them to be anything but friends.
Sighing dramatically, Rora plopped down in her seat and glared at Hilda. She clearly tried her best to perform the spell as quickly as possible so Rora wouldn't be able to comprehend what stance or form she had done. How mature. Rora thought as her lips pursed in disapproval.
Before Rora could comprehend what had happened, her legs kicked the chair from behind her and she started doing an unappealing and ungraceful jig. Rora was not the most athletic person at Hogwarts, and Hilda had capitalized on that moment by casting the charm on her. Rora uncontrollably danced all over their side of the room, letting out some yelps as she knocked over her peers books, wands and objects that they were trying to learn the charm on.
Rora's feet came abruptly to a halt and she toppled to the floor, tripping over a stack of old charms books. Enraged, she turned a bright red color and got right in Hilda's face, which was very unlike her. "You rude and manipulative SNAKE! What kind of person kicks someone, or I guess makes them uncontrollably dance, when they're already down!?" She gasped for breath between emotionally charged sentences, probably spitting a little in Hilda's face accidentally.
Rora pushed her hair back and counted to five, giving herself just a moment to calm down. "That was inconsiderate and downright mean. I have quite a few friends in Slytherin who are wonderful people. I don't know what I could have done to you to deserve this, but it seems like you're insecure and jealous of me." She opened her charms book, crossed her arms and turned up her nose to Hilda. I'll just reread this chapter and try again, on my own this time. I don't have patience for immature children.

Insecure and jealous ? Yes Hildegard was, she was of most people actually not just Aurora, it was mostly insecurity and jealousy concerning her disability. So the fact that Rora said it out loud pissed off the snake, and spitting on her face be it accidentally or not did not help.
Schneider's next move was for revenge this time, she casted yet another spell, not on the ravenclaw tho, this time her target was the charm book that her partner was using.
- Illegibilus, She casted on it, rendering it impossible to read.
After doing that she looked at Aurora right in the eyes and said :
-I am NOT insecure or jealous about anything about you ! Why would I be anyway? You're a pathetic troll looking witch who can't even properly cast the Mending Charm or the Dancing-Feet Spell !
The girl using her sleeve to wipe out her face, and proceeded to intentionally spitting back at Aurora.
Hildegard really did lose a bit of her cool right there, but the blond really did hit her where it hurted.
She now considered her her enemy, Aurora may be objectively nice and gentle, it did not matter , because from that moment Hildegard would only choose to see her bad qualities.

Exiting The Charms Classroom
Rora's jaw dropped as she watched the words in her book go from fully legible to some indecipherable version of what appeared to be hieroglyphics. What in Merlin's beard is this? The blonde girl could barely perform the first charm taught in class so how on Earth did Hilda know so this much magic already?
Looking up to meet Hilda's gaze, a wave of fury crashed over her. How am I supposed to get my Charms book back to its original state? Blimey, I'll probably have to ask Ash and this will be a terrible look for me. Her older brother, Ash, was a fourth year Ravenclaw prefect who knew as much as someone in his year possibly could. He would most certainly judge Rora for her immaturity in handling this matter, but there was not much else Rora could do at this point. She was reaching a point of desperation to get this issue resolved and move on.
Hilda's words sliced through Rora like a knife. She could feel the tears streaming down her face as she reached up to try to slyly wipe them away. Both embarrassed at acting like a fool in front of her classmates and upset at herself for exploding like that on another student, she quietly stacked her books into her bag. She blotted away Hilda's disgusting spit from her face with her robe sleeve. Completely defeated, she looked up at Hilda with her eyes still watery and muttered "Why are you so mean? I wanted to be your friend when we were first paired up. You went out of your way to be nothing but cruel to me during this class."
Hearing the professors closing remarks, Rora stood up as fast as she could. I'll take the high road on this one and count my losses. Angling toward Hilda, she cleared her throat and said with a blank stare "I don't wish ill on anyone. I apologize for what I said to you and for being hurtful. Hopefully we can be civil in the future." Turning on her heel, she tried her best not to storm out of the classroom. It was scary to think that Rora had been unable to control her outburst toward Hilda. She was genuinely concerned that if they were matched again and another encounter occurred, it could escalate even further.
