Try #2, Electric Boogaloo
Create a setting. This would be where it takes place, be it a school, a house, a city, an imaginary world, etc. We want you to be detailed in this. It needs to be 1000 words or more (you will thank us for this later).
Map Made With InkarnateWe've arrived in the world named Asme. It is the year 1,684. Exactly 1,684 years since the final split of continents. Long ago, all of the continents were one. There was a single world. A single united civilization. Since then the world has been slowly drifting further and further apart. Chaos reigned with this process began. Destructive earthquakes wracked the established villages and capitals, essentially making everyone start from scratch. Where we drop in is much later, when everything has become settled. No one alive knows what the very beginning was like, they only know now.
The written language was created in a rush as the people of Asme learned that with the growing separation that oral passage of news and traditions wouldn't do it anymore. Over time it has grown much more sophisticated, and everyone now knows how to read and write. The universal language that was spoken has started to differentiate based on the region. Regional slang has become prevalent, and additional languages are in the early forms of creation. Much of their kingdoms and villages are based on the ancient language of their people that has long become dead. The society is based in matriarchy. With queens holding more power over kings, and lineage passed on through the mother's of the family. Overall, the people of Asme honor and value the places where everything began. But everyone is looking forward to change and advancement in this new age.
The Seasons, each with 91 Days
Icebreak, Dewstorm, Crestfire, Leafharvest
At the end of the year, which comes between Dewstorm and Crestfire, they remember the day the land split. It is a day in no other season, a day all its own. It is called "The Split" after... you know... the land split.
Continents
Every continent has its purpose in their world. Each region had already had a specialty before the split, and that purpose has continued on in their new areas. It is not faction based. People are free to come and go through the continents as they please. Families encourage their children to learn all the trades that exist, and go with what suits them best. While there are long lineages of families that have existed in the same continent, there is no shame associated with branching out. Everyone has a calling, and you are not necessarily born into your calling. It must be discovered.Forasme
Forasme is the central continent, arguably one of the most important. It is also where our story takes place. But the humble Foras' would never admit it to others. They are the food providers of the world, except for fish which comes from Sunasme now that they have become the continent of islands. The Kingdom of Fornia is a plentiful one. Led by a faithful Queen and King Rotalia, with their young daughter of 24 years, Princess Aster. To the north there are cliffs in the village of Sym where most of the livestock are kept. In Liella there are grains a plenty, grown within the small hills that they have turned into rice paddies. In Taren to the southeast are where most of the fruits and vegetables of the region are grown. In the southwest lie Quill and Aster (the town the Princess is named after). The people there live in treehouses and grow vast amounts of mushrooms, nuts, and fruits and vegetables that grow best in shade. This is where our main character, Sparrow, calls home. Specifically Quill.
A monthly market happens in Forasme's center for people to bring their goods for barter and stock up for what they need. Orders for special items are placed in this time. While there are regular trade routes and deals between the continents for food and provisions, this is a time for individuals to do shopping within all of the lands without having to travel too far. During this four-day market many feasts are held. Occasionally masters of crafts will host lectures or demonstrations. It is a grand time that many people look forward to, especially for seeing people that they may not otherwise see.Cerasme
Cerasme has become colloquially known as "The Continent that Sunk" because of the disaster that happened when it separated. As it can probably be figured out by the name, the entire inside of the continent sank about 100 meters. Many perished during the sink, but luckily many had felt the rumblings of Asme beneath them and had taken shelter in Forasme until things cleared up. There is a sophisticated carving of steps into the stone cliffs that surround the city to get you down the 100 meters. It is a long trek, but to see the wonders of Cerasme it is worth it. In the Kingdom of Certera there are many wonders of craftmanship to be seen. Brilliant textiles woven by hand, pottery that is almost too pretty to use, a furniture style that is a hassle to bring to others but entirely worth it. The craftsmen that reside within this continent are absolute masters, and the skills of their hands are envied by many. There is a young Queen Tarina of 32 that rules singularly and happily. She is a craftswoman of pottery. One of the most revered specialties in the land.Lasme
Lasme is the knowledge center of the lands. It hosts the most prestigious universities for people to study at if they so choose. They offer tracks for most of the crafts within the land. But they mostly are for the scholars. Those who are trying to track why the world has begun separating, how much each year, the trends of the disasters that come along with the separation. They also hold the seed vault. Every new successful hybrid or completely new plant that is found has seeds within this vault to be protected and persevered should Forasme suffer a fate that cannot be recovered from. The libraries are quite small still since their written language is still relatively new and writers are a new craft that people are taking up. Eventually, they will host the first museum. They just don't know it yet. They are ruled by Queen and King Recontu and their triplets. Two boys, Octavio and Linil, and one girl, Yuna. They are heavily accomplished scholars with the research they did in their youth, and their children are quickly following in their footsteps. The royal family is truly a pride and joy within this continent.MorasmeMorasme is the continent of animal husbandry. While Forasme has animals, they are purely for food production purposes. Morasme is the land of wild and domesticated animals. Horses roam free throughout the woods, but are procured if they are needed. They try to leave as many animals as free as possible, as long as there are no imminent population threats or issues between the different species. While all the lands have various animals, Morasme definitely has the most. This is one of the places children get most excited to go to because of all the opportunities to interact with animals that they might not have. Their areas of living are humble and usually as close to the ground and usually made out of materials they can procure easily. Its not surprising to enter a dwelling there and have five or six animals happily roaming about or taking a nap. The two Queens Elfare-Sylla boast a happy family of 11 dogs that they cherish more deeply than anything else in this world.Klenasme
Klenasme is one of the more treacherous lands to travel to. The jagged edges, mountainous ranges, and dry climate are not something many are willing to deal with. But the people that live there generally wouldn't trade the experience for anything. They consider themselves some of the hardest working people in Asme. They are the miners. While there are plenty of mine shafts in their own land, occasionally they will create one or two in other lands that seem to hold promise of rich minerals and gems. Their buildings are made out of the stone that surrounds them. They've very recently been collaborating with the scientists of Lasme to create man-made gems for wider possibilities of crafters from Cerasme to put them to use. For a people that collect quite beautiful gems and stones they usually live humbly. Trading their materials for others to use. Queen and King Carus work alongside their people, but take more of a management role in the shafts. The Queen can often be seen deep in the mine shafts. They have one bubbly son named Osian that is a small 5 years old.Sunasme
The land of many islands is where all of the ship building happens. They have the most space for experimenting for what works best with boats, and trying out new ideas constantly. They also work with Lasme in charting the waters that they haven't been able to get to and documenting their experimentation process. In addition to ship making, they also do the fishing since they have the better waters for it. It was something Forasme was happy to let them do since they do so much of the other food production. Sunasme is the continent that works the most with the other ones. Constantly collaborating with the craftsman from Cerasme, getting sea dogs and cats from Morasme. This is truly the hub of many peoples, despite not being nearly as large as the other continents. While there is a Queen for this land, Queen Voyel, this is the only land that has many small governments in addition. Since there are so many islands she can't possibly be in all of them at once and works mostly in the research process of shipbuilding. She hails from the land of Lasme, and has helped progress the quality of their ships tenfold since the last Queen died and named her as the successor. The other lands have eyed Sunasme's systems and are in the very very early talkings of incorporating that system into their own government system.

The Nameless is an organization of natural healers that work alongside modern day doctors to cure all ailments. They are an ancient organization, as old as time itself and well revered within the community. While they usually have a home in one of the continents, they are usually nomadic, going where they are called. From a young age they are chosen by another member of the organization that sees that they have potential and takes them under their wing. It is an honor for your child to be chosen for this profession. It is the only profession you cannot choose to be in, it has to choose you. Of course, at 18 the apprentices can choose to learn a different craft but most stay. If you choose to stay at 18, your mentor takes you through a sort of initiation process that involves you getting a new name. Even your family may not use your old name.
Sparrow was chosen by their mentor, Ink, when she saw Sparrow attempting to make a healing potion for one of their friends that had gotten hurt while they were playing. They had always dreamed of becoming one of The Nameless, even if it came at the cost of leaving their family. Sparrow studied diligently under their mentor, and it paid off. They are now one of the most well-known and trusted members of The Nameless. But... Sparrow uses this position to their advantage in seeking out those who cause strife or have ill-intentions in the land.
Appearance
Sparrow stands tall at 6'1" (185 cm). Their hair falls in thick waves of dark red that land on their shoulders. It is well kept, and occasionally pulled back if they are in a particularly focused mode or working with a patient. Their eyes are a deep green resembling pine trees. They keep their eyebrows in a unique circle shape, just for fun. Just to stand out. The healers of the land usually try to look distinguished so people could easily find them. But, that is why they are all given the scar on the bridge of their nose. They usually wear plain, neutral colored clothes. The darker the better to hide stains from their work. They do wear extravagant cloaks to cover the bags and pouches that rest on their hips to protect them from tampering as they travel. They always have a gold septum ring in their nose, a gift and a matching body modification they have with their mentor which is common practice. For special occasions they will wear additional jewelry, but tend to avoid it just for the fact that they're an inconvenient accessory.
Childhood
Sparrow is the oldest child of three. They were born in the year 1657 on the 85th day of Firecrest to Auburne and Lotho Gulder. The middle sister, born in year 1667 (age 17), is Celentine. The baby boy of the family was born in year 1670 (age 14), Lothar (named after his father). With a ten year difference between Sparrow and Celentine, it was quite a shock to the young child to get a sibling. Especially since Sparrow had already been out of the house for three years, having been spotted by Ink at seven years old. They had the opportunity to take a couple weeks of of their training to be with their family when the new baby had arrived. They also had the opportunity to go home during the four holidays throughout the year, in addition to The Split.
Their family is located in the town of Linsera of Morasme. Their parents specifically worked in domesticating feral animals such as foxes, bears, mountain cats, etc. If it could kill you, it was in Sparrow's backyard. This part of Sparrow's childhood is one that they would not give up. To learn to be of The Nameless in Morasme was one of the best parts of growing up.
Their home life before locating was pleasant and loving. Auburne is a doting mother, and continues to be to their siblings. Their parents made sure to give them a sense of independence while feeling safe. This meant that their backyard was uh... mostly off limits. A five year old and an entire brown bear might not get along quite well. But often Sparrow would visit the neighbors that trained dogs, cats, even rats until they were old enough to observe their parents at work.
A unique trait of growing up in Morasme as one of The Nameless was the privilege to earn an animal companion to accompany them in their travels. It had to an animal Sparrow was connected to, one that they felt their energy linked to. It was almost a no-brainer when Sparrow chose a fox as their companion. The day before they turned 18 they chose their companion. A fox from their parent's own training expertise. The fox was only two years old, and was perfect for additional training that they might need. Sparrow named them Finch. They were quickly inseparable. Their bond transcending anything Sparrow had experienced in their life.

Adulthood
Sparrow currently lives in the Kingdom of Fornia. Often they are called upon by the royal family there, so it has worked out in convenience. They had their home base in Morasme up until a couple years ago. It took seven years to work up their reputation to the point where royals were calling on them. Their mentor, Ink, spoke highly of them to the Queen and King. She had expressed a desire in retiring from attending to the royal family, since the travels were starting to wear on her and she wanted to settle down. Sparrow happily accepted the prestigious invitation.
Before then, they spent many years as an avid nomad. They were never in the same place for more than two weeks unless there was a need for them. Their first clients came from the connections Ink passed onto them. But Sparrow had quickly surpassed their mentor's provided clientele. Sparrow even surpassed Ink in abilities, trying out new medicines and concoctions on themselves to see how the current repertoire could be improved. They even started writing these recipes down, something that was unheard of in the community. It was an idea that Sparrow thought was preposterous. The Nameless were so incredibly exclusive, it left people that needed to be healed having to travel to Lasme for doctor's, or wait and hope one of The Nameless would show up. They often would provide their recipes to their clients in secret, with a promise from them that they wouldn't share it unless it was dire. Truthfully, they shared it all the time. But Sparrow didn't mind. It didn't make them less useful, as there were skills of The Nameless that took years to master, certain things that couldn't be recreated. Plus, people liked to be taken care of.
In the past couple years trouble has been brewing, discontent growing within the people. Sparrow believed it was out of fear of the unknown of their world. How much their was to be discovered. Trade secrets not being shared unless orally, which was just impractical. While Sparrow worked as a healer for the royal family, they also took frequent excursions to the other continents to take care of other business.

Try #2, Electric Boogaloo
Create a main plot. This is where you talk about the main story itself. What are they doing? Is this a journey, a coming of age experience, a battle against a terrifying nemesis, etc. Is there a conflict? What’s drives the story? Consider doing this in an outline format or as a timeline to make things more organized. It needs to be 1000 words or more.
- We open in the city of Dew Port where Sparrow is making their rounds of the patients that they regularly see up there. In traveling to one of the homes they normally spends the night at if required a royal messenger from the Kingdom of Fornia intercepts them and tells them that they're summoned to the royal family. They tend to get irritated at summons like this, especially when they have a schedule to upkeep with the other people they tend to. Nonetheless, they take a stop to one of The Nameless, Cichlid, to discuss a handover of patients and spending the night there before heading off on the first ship in the morning to Fornia.
- Cichlid provides a bit of exposition about the work that The Nameless do, since Cichlid is new to the practice it also provides a way to explain the apprenticeship process. They also discuss the Royal Families and their need for immediate attention at all costs. Sparrow doesn't know how grave the situation is with the family. This is the first time we hear Sparrow speak of Dr. Rantarra.
- The next morning Sparrow heads off to Forasme which is only about a half day's trip. The royal messenger seems to be in a grave mood and Sparrow tries to pull any information out of him about the situation they're about to walk into. He stays tight lipped and Sparrow just feels aggravated with the lack of information given. How are they supposed to prepare?
- After a quick stop at home to drop off certain items and re-up on supplies they head to the castle where we meet most of the main characters of this story. In the main throne room stands Dr. Rantarra with the royal messenger who warned him of their arrival. He has an ominous presence, one that would make anyone squirm except for Sparrow with all that they have seen. There is a cold and practical conversation between the two of them.
- Sparrow goes to check on the Queen and King first who are in a rapid recovery stage already. According to Dr. Rantarra they're already well in their way to being fully healthy again. Especially the Queen. They give a prescription of sorts of how they'll all be moving forward in addition to what Dr. Rantarra has prescribed.
- Then Sparrow visits the Princess. They are shocked at the condition she is in compared to her mother and father. She is barely lucid at this time, and Sparrow goes forward to gingerly take an assessment of her, and it is grim. Sparrow makes a note to meet with Dr. Rantarra to discuss her condition and what he's done, and how Sparrow can help. For now, Sparrow gives Aster a tea to help her rest without coughing fits and waves of nausea.
- Dr. Rantarra is not forthcoming with information when Sparrow finds him in the medical type of room designated for them to work. He seems confident in how little information he truly has about Aster. Which doesn't make sense because surely the Royal Family had to have the same sickness, why wasn't Aster responsive to it? Apparently he had stopped doing tests and further treatment about a week before Sparrow arrived. He seems to be upset that Aster was still alive at all.
- We take a chapter to peer into Sparrow's mind about how they decide to proceed with the Princess with an alternative method to Lasme's medicine. For now, they decide to treat the symptoms until they can figure out the cause. Something that Dr. Rantarra didn't even care to do. At the end of the chapter they go back up to the Queen and King to discuss treatment for their daughter and come to the conclusion that Sparrow should take up residence in the Great Tree until Aster's illness begins to fade.
- The middle chapters have a cycle of a few different events occurring, and discoveries beginning to unfold.
- The main events revolve around Sparrow and Aster's budding romance, especially as Aster begins to become more lucid and capable of conversation as she can manage her symptoms better with Sparrow's help. There are moments of vulnerability in talking about histories. Fear of sickness taking over. Times where Sparrow rejects the intimacy for fear of falling for Aster and being forced into a type of retirement. These come between chapters of Sparrow studying and talking to Dr. Rantarra and the Queen and King who are fully recovered by the middle of the book.
- Sparrow begins to grow more and more suspicious of Dr. Rantarra's happenings in the Great Tree. Especially when he begins to sneak around at night when he had left hours before. He was not living in the tree anymore, he was barely providing treatment. So why did he continue to return so frequently? Most of the attempts of following him end up failing because of Sparrow's duty to Aster and not wanting to stray too far from her. Eventually Sparrow finds him meeting with the Queen, and things begin to unravel.
- Sparrow must try and find how Dr. Rantarra has been poisoning Aster, especially with her being under such a watchful eye with Sparrow. While also preventing her from becoming more ill, and ignorant of the fact that her own mother is vouching for her death.
- The end of the book comes in a spiral of interweaving relationships all trying to sabotage each other. Sparrow works in secret, feigning ignorance to what is happening with the Queen and Dr. Rantarra while they try to hide their confusion on why the Princess is improving.
- Eventually Sparrow confesses to Aster. About everything. Their feelings, what has truly been happening to her, how her father had no involvement in her opinion and he's innocent. Princess Aster is clearly confused, but ultimately grateful for Sparrow doing all of the hard work in this investigation as she had healed.
- Sparrow sits in on a meeting between Princess Aster and her father as they try to work out what to do with the Queen and Dr. Rantarra. Its not hard to decide to cast them out with how much evidence Sparrow had gathered against them. (Especially since the King found out they had been having an affair).
- The book ends with the coronation of Princess Aster, making her Queen Aster with her father as her most trusted advisor. With Sparrow as her personal doctor, and partner. Sparrow continues to heal others, but makes sure to spend enough time with the Queen that they are in incredibly deep love with.

Try #2, Electric Boogaloo
Create 2 subplots. Subplots are other important and relevant stories that are ongoing but are not a part of the main story. Love interests or dealing with a school bully/rival are a few examples of this. Again, consider writing this in an outline format to make things more organized for yourself. It can also help you determine if it clashes with the main plot at some point. It needs to be 1000 words or more (you will thank us for this later).
Subplot 1
Sparrow has been taking care of the Rotalia family on occasion for about two years now in rotation with Dr. Rantarra. He is more of the "when you're ill I'll be there" and Sparrow provides them with various treatments for body aches and pains, longevity, helping with different minor issues that they prefer natural remedies for. This never bred much of a relationship with them past doing the ritual check ins, occasionally talking about what ailed them in their personal lives. That was, until the family fell ill and Sparrow was called on them to help in their time of recovery. Aster's recovery never came. As Rantarra researches for a way to help her, Sparrow is by her bedside morning and night to take care of her however the Princess requests. In their hours of spending time together, Sparrow grows dangerously close to Aster. The Nameless usually go partner-less. Focusing on healing the land and the people. To take a partner is essentially forcing retirement. But... the constellations that paint Aster's face in swirls of freckles, and the never dimming light in her eyes despite her sickness pulls Sparrow in. Aster is just focused on trying to stay alive, but doesn't mind that what she sees as her final days are spent with Sparrow.
For Sparrow, it becomes a welcome distraction from the usually monotony that is in her job. Generally, people are ailed by similar things. Visiting people that just need restocks of their usual supplies. Visiting those she trades her healing services for to get supplies that are harder to come by. Her life has become a routine. She can't help but be grateful to Aster for the perspective that she has been forced to take. Which doesn't help the fondness.
They begin a delicate dance. Pulling away and pushing closer. Aster is the moon, and Sparrow is the helpless tide pulled in by her. For someone who has remained cynical, critical, calculating. Defenses slowly begin to fall away. From both the Princess and the one who heals her. As Aster grows weaker, Sparrow becomes more desperate. Aster was supposed to become the future queen, of course, soon even. Her mother is nearing retirement. She must become healthy for the Kingdom. For Sparrow. This ties into the subplot of Dr. Rantarra and Sparrow's rift. It is a reason for their distaste for each other. As Sparrow does her own research, Rantarra is tight lipped with his. Trying to work with him is like trying to shove a square block through just a slightly too small square hole. She knows the answers are there, but he refuses to give it.
Sparrow eventually gives in, not to the desperation, but to Aster. To spend their final days together rather than doing the painful dance they have been around each other's hearts. When she sleeps, Sparrow continues working. She sleeps less, takes care of herself less, and Aster notices. She tries to take care of Sparrow, and The Nameless one snaps. Saying those of the organization don't need to be healed. Aster insists, that sometimes the healers need healing.
Eventually, Sparrow discovers what has been going on between Dr. Rantarra and the Queen and the answers fall into place. Aster is healed, and their kindled romance hangs above them. Was it a sick desperation for each other? For connection in what seemed to be the end of Aster's time? Or was it something brought together by the spirits of Asme in the worst conditions.
Subplot 2
To say there is a rift between our main character and Dr. Rantarra is an understatement. In the culture among Asme there was a general indifference between The Nameless and the Doctors of Lasme, but as the two organizations work to grow their practice resentment grows between them. No one in The Nameless organization comes from Lasme anymore as they have actively talked down their workings. Any of The Nameless that once came from Lasme have all died off at this point in the timelines. The doctors from Lasme have been known to call those that work in The Nameless "The Doctors of Placebo". Dr. Rantarra is especially known for his belief in eventually phasing out The Nameless. The fact that the Rotalia family hired the both of them is an insult. Usually families work with one or the other. The Nameless have remained rather silent on the issue since it first cropped up. They have always been silent and in the background, doing their work. They always felt like their work spoke for them.
When Dr. Rantarra and Sparrow first meet, its cordial. They both recognize that they're in the castle on business and that's what matters. Healing always comes first, even if Dr. Rantarra doesn't believe in Sparrow's method. If the Rotalia's believe in Sparrow, he should too. He gives an update on the family, what he's doing with them, and the recommended treatment going forward. At first, he's hopeful about Aster's recovery. He believes its just taking extra time and takes his leave. Sparrow doesn't take any extra seconds to get to work. They criticizes the way he leaves his work space, as they generally share the same space for preparation since the tree is only so big.
He pops in on a daily basis to distribute medications to the Queen and King, despite Sparrow insisting that they could administer them. Rantarra said one of The Nameless could never be able to handle real medicine. Sparrow has to restrain from letting their anger spill over. They let it go this time, but decide to keep an eye on him to try and get him fired.
On a walk around the tree in the evening while the Princess sleeps, they catch Rantarra slipping out of the castle the back way. Its suspicious for 2 reasons. 1. He left hours ago. 2. Why not just take the front door if you're allowed to. They are more concerned for anything happening to the Princess, so Sparrow returns to Aster's side, looking obviously frazzled.
With both of them sneaking in circles around each other, distrust and resentment only grows. Rantarra frequently throws verbal assaults towards Sparrow, knowing that they won't say anything back due to an unspoken rule of The Nameless to always let the work they do speak against those who defy them. Their rivalry winds itself underneath the surface of the plot as they both work to save the royal family from dying out.

Try #2, Electric Boogaloo
Create at least three secondary characters. Who are they? What is their relationship to the main character? No story is ever only about one character, there's a whole world full of people around your protagonist! Think about why they are important and what their function in the story is. There need to be 300 words per secondary character.
Princess Aster
Princess Aster Rotalia is the daughter of the Queen and King in the Kindom of Fornia. Her dad, Nelken, named her after the town in Forasme that his family had spent many, many generations in. She is 24 years old and specializes in hybrid plants in Forasme. Hair dye is quite common, so her hair has been a light lavender since she was 16. She has one of her first hybrid plants, a tomato that has a longer shelf life, tattooed on her arm. Her eyes are crystal blue and her skin is well tanned from how much time she spends tending to her plants.
Her family lives within the great tree at the center of their continent. She has a few plots of land that are for her own experiments, whenever there is a new successful one she passes a couple seeds onto Lasme for the seed vault and continues to breed them to spread to the other cultivators in Forasme. She is kind, generous, and an ideal princess to someday rule the lands. Despite her mother being more of the calculating type, she has gotten most of her warmth from her father. Because of this, she's incredibly too trusting. Which leads to her slow downfall.
Aster plays a bittersweet role in the story. Even though she falls ill with the rest of them, she's the only one that's not successfully healed. She only continues to get worse, and Sparrow eventually moves into the grand treehouse to take care of her full time. To essentially be there for her every need. Its not unheard of for one of The Nameless to move in with families, especially if they were royal. But as modern medicine grew in practice they usually opted for the other doctors to keep around, leave The Nameless to take care of the rest of the people. The sweetness comes from the sticky fondness that Sparrow begins to feel for the woman. Princess Aster is a complicated individual, not as one dimensional as Sparrow always believed her to be. As things spiral rapidly out of control, Sparrow comes to rely on her despite everything telling them not to. Especially since she is on death's front door.
Doctor Isoc Rantarra
Doctor Rantarra is the resident doctor of the great tree. He is 39 years old and he is the royal family's primary physician, but also provides routine care for the people that work within it (cooks, cleaners, general handmaids). He comes from Lasme, the center city of Lasbatia, where his own royal family lives. It is also the center for medical research, with more minor research being delegated to Predonia since its the closest neighboring village. He was within one of the first batches of what they considered to be 'fully trained' doctors. Though they routinely returned to Lasbatia to catch up on new medical practices, or received news of it during the monthly markets.
He had actually been taken out of the practitioner program at some point, and was recommended to transfer to a sub-program that only studied the human body, and never had the authorization to attend to patients. His bedside manner were horrendous, and many of his practice patients are rumored to only receive medical attention from The Nameless now.
He was specifically hired by Queen Draga, since the King was on visit to his family when she ended up becoming sit for a period of time. He did so well in helping her recover that he was brought on as the live-in physician. However, him and Sparrow are at odds. He was able to cure the rest of the family, and Sparrow took over in helping their bodies and minds to recover. But he was unable to save the princess and is entirely unhelpful in trying to find the solution. Sparrow catches him sneaking off at night, which shouldn't be that odd except for he never leaves or comes back through the front of the castle meaning he was hiding from something. Unable to leave Princess Aster's side, they're left stewing about the Doctor and his sordid past that threatens to slip out of the shadows he's tried to keep it in.
Queen Draga Rotalia
The Queen is probably as elegant as they come. She doesn't seem to walk in steps, but rather float across courtyards and pavilions. She's a regaled beauty of the land and seems to whisper to flowers to make them bloom beneath her voice. Though, no one has seen it actually happen. But her people like to believe that its true.
Queen Rotalia comes from a long line of Rotalia's that have inherited the throne of Fornia. She has two younger sisters that she hasn't spoken to in years since producing an heir. Their only reason for contact was to stay in her good graces so they could claim the throne when if she died early. But Draga has a tight grip on her throne. She is coming to the age of 60 within the next couple of years, which is usually the age that if the royal family has produced an heir, they pass the position down onto their children. But the queen has other plans. Her daughter is well read in everything she needs to be, she would in truth be an incredibly successful rule. But Draga would rather die than pass on her power.
Parents always chose who to pass their throne to, it was a modified monarchy. Though daughters always were preferred to continue the matriarchal line. So, with two sisters and parents who loved them all dearly she spent a majority of her childhood fighting for her spot to be queen. There was nothing guaranteed in her life, and she only got the throne at 37 due to her mother being rather young when she had her first kid at 23. That was barely over 20 years that she had been able to stay in power. Especially since there was barely anything to rule over. There were no wars, barely any quarrels. The most she did was settle trading disputes between her people and maintain the trade routes.
There were limited options for power grabs in the idealistic society that they existed in, and she was willing to explore all avenues. Even if one of those avenues was killing her own daughter.
