Just like yesterday, Santario entered the Hospital wing this time; she would shrug off and hang up a leather jacket before walking over toward the sign-in log. As she entered her name, date, and time San hoped it would be like yesterday where it had been a slower day, but she had a feeling that there would be more than she or Monsieur Brumby would care to handle that day considering the duelling room was booked solid. This would mean that there would be possible repeats of people in and out all day long. In fact, it was only that the Slytherins did not have it booked this weekend that would have kept her out of it. Granted, the Slytherins now had at least one bonafide healer on their team, meaning their trips to the nurse’s office could be less, and Santario would get more practice healing during the duels. The adrenaline rush that the body administered when you successfully kept someone from going unconscious longer in the heat of the moment was exhilarating.

She had found that working in the hospital wing was a bit like that as well because you never knew who would walk through those doors or why. It was easy to get swept up in the flow of practical application while magic sure the students of Hogwarts survived their day today, but she had her own ulterior motives. After all, what was a better place to keep tabs on the tragic events that hit besides the hospital? Or to learn as much as she could about the curse that she desperately wanted to help cure.

Today, however, would not be a day where she had the time or even the thought to try and ask Monsieur Brumby about such matters as the flow of students was high. Apparently, it was the curse of the boogies day in the duelling room as a good handful of students were forced to lay down until the fevers died down and they felt well enough to be on their way. One at a time, Santario would take care of the beds after they left, making sure they were made up with fresh linens and depositing the used ones in the proper place. A few split faces and minor abrasions found themselves trickling in before exuberantly dashing back out to practice with no time to spare.

The most recent case would be a poor boy leaving a very unpleasant trail of slugs behind him as he came in. The house-elves would undoubtedly clean up the hallways, but Santario would need to get to the floors in the hospital wing. The patient would be settled in and cleaned up before drawing the curtains around their bed so they could sleep off nausea that was bound to settle after such an event. This is when Santario would grab a bucket and pick up the slimy little suckers that had started to try and, albeit slowly, wander around. Lastly, she would use Scourgify on the floor, cleaning up the trails they had left behind so that no one, including herself, would slip on them.

A deep sigh escaped her lips as she got herself a drink of water and pushed her braid over her shoulder. She had been here for a few hours now, and the skies were starting to darken. Practices should be wrapping up, no doubt, but that didn’t mean there wouldn’t be any stragglers, and she figured there was no harm in staying for a bit longer.

Marshal was nothing if not studious, at least relating to the subject of quidditch. Having learned of the sport little more than a year prior, large portions of his life had been dedicated to becoming a master in its rules, influence and history. Nowadays, he knew near everything there was to know about the magical game; forget being a student of other subjects at Hogwarts - he cared only to be a scholar of snitches, of bludgers and quaffles. He wanted to feel the wind in his hair as he sliced through the air, to warm his heart against the cold with the camaraderie of his teammates, and to experience the honeyed taste of victory, as hundreds of fans lent their voices to his triumph.
There was nothing that would dissuade his adoration, nor stop him from making the Gryffindor team in the upcoming tryout. Nothing, that is, save for his apparent lack of ability to avoid trees.

With a sensible desire to improve his skills of maneuvering a broom, the boy had ventured outside the protective walls of the school and into the open world, which was dominated by the sky he so longed to touch. Armed with nothing but a broom, he had set out to face the imminent milestones of practice and improvement. Taking to the skies, he would embrace the fueling fire of determination, and tackle the task of personal achievement.
Like a flying eagle he'd soared, unhindered by the ironic congruity to the Ravenclaw mascot. Convinced that the sunlight reflected off his eyes of gold, and that his windblown clothing made him appear like a veritable superhero, he'd accordingly searched the grounds below for a pretty face to impress.
Low and behold, he'd found one, gazing up at him with the awe of a toddler discovering Superman for the first time. He'd assumed, at least. The distance was between them was notable.
Flashing the girl his best white-capped grin, he'd turned his eyes back to the path ahead, just in time to spot the thick tree branch that would proceed to wallop his nose like it had just insulted the tree's mother.

Darkness. Prevailing over conscious thought, the dull clouds of nothingness had enveloped his mind. The next thing he remembered was waking up to find his crooked form lying prone on the ground, just at the edge of the Forbidden Forest. Not that he'd remembered where he was for a good two minutes.
Kept conscious only by the throbbing pain in his entire face, the boy had contemplated the exact events that led to such a predicament, until a blurred face invaded his vision.
Upon examining the features of that face, his memories of the past few minutes had returned, urging him to leap to his feet and pretend that his world wasn't spinning at the speed of sound.
Assuring the concerned girl that he was fine, he would then excuse himself from the conversation, knowing that he certainly required a trip to the hospital wing.

Presently, the blonde boy stumbled into the wing, blood dripping down one arm as he clutched his broken nose with that hand. White t-shirt stained red, he squinted in an attempt to steady the pain in his head. Staggering slightly as nausea threatened to topple him once more, he was a rather sorry sight. Frankly, it was a miracle he'd made it to his destination in the first place.
His uncertain eyes fell upon a figure standing within the room. Focusing a bit harder, he vaguely recognized the girl, having seen her in the hallways multiple times through his first year at Hogwarts.
He'd admired the exquisite details of her appearance every time then, and this instance was no exception.

Gathered in a masterful braid, her dark hair provided a stunning contrast to the fair hue of her skin. Like a raven flying amidst a snowy sky, it stood apart from the soft tones of her graceful features, lulling him into the quiet expression in her blue eyes, until he was lost to the peaceful silence akin to that which descends upon a frozen wood.
That silence echoed with significance, until it was shattered by another wave of nausea passing through his skull.

Closing his eyes momentarily, Marshal fought the darkness that threatened to envelop him once more. After a few seconds, he refocused on the girl before him.
"I know this is the hospital wing, but it seems a little early for an angel to take me to heaven." He attempted a painful grin, sorely unaware of the blood which marred his pearly whites.
As if in reaction to the line, yet another stream of sickness assaulted him, bringing him to a knee.
Hand shooting out to steady him against the wall, he refocused on her. "Wow. There's even three of you. I feel so special."

Santario finished her drink of water just in time as the door opened, setting down her glass before turning around only to be met with a sight she had not expected to see. Duelling produced some cuts and scrapes and sometimes broken noses from being knocked around by a stray flipendo, but this boy looked like he had been pummeled. His nose was clearly broken and still actively bleeding; there were also signs of bruising on his face. Had someone slammed his face into a wall? She quickly started to cross the floor towards him as he spoke with a visage full of blood. “Broken nose and probably concussed. Perhaps, even delirious.” She said to herself more than to him. San may not have been able to recognize it before, but now she understood when someone was being a flirt and if he was doing so in such a state she was certain it wasn’t likely to stop any time soon.

When Marshal took a knee however, that actually worried her, and she skidded to a stop on her knees next to him. “Slow down, tiger, if you keep pushing yourself like this, you’re going to pass out, and I’d prefer you to be laying in a bed if you lost consciousness.” Why were boys always so stubborn, getting hurt and walking around like they could still rule the world? A sigh escaped her lips as she looked over him. Whatever had happened had really done a number on him. “I am going to need you to wrap your arm around my shoulder for support, and then we are going to very slowly stand up and walk to that bed right there.” She pointed at it giving him a point of forced focus to help him not throw up. That would be the primary goal, and if she managed it without him losing his last meal all over her, the floor, or himself, she’d call it a win.

“Soon as I get you there, I can fix your nose, and we can get you cleaned up, but you will need to stay for a while for monitoring.” This meant that she would be staying longer as well, probably until she didn’t have a choice but to leave. If Marshal was concussed, he would need to spend the night. “If you are going to puke, do not try to cover your mouth; just let it happen.” The last thing she wanted to clean up was a spray, even with magic. If Marshal cooperated with her, Santario would help by gently pushing her head under his arm, letting it rest on her shoulders, and she would take as much of his weight as she could upon standing. She would be more facing him than facing their destination, placing her hand on his chest to help with his forward stabilization, so he didn’t end up taking them both to the ground. If any of his blood did get on her it would not seem to phase her at all.
