Adjustments PV Haley closed

Truthfully speaking, Elena was surprised at her own skill. It was wonder what a few pointers and tips from someone could do and while she had been absolute horrid just a couple of moments ago, Haley's words of advice had changed all of that. For a moment. the brunette thought that maybe the broom might throw her off, split in two or do a somersault but from all of this, the girl was learning the broom was only as good as it's flyer and that was a concept she took to heart grinning as the other girl flew over to her who seemed to be rather excited and proud at the fact that the Gryffindor was picking up her tips so quickly. She had always been a fast learner, now if only she could apply the same attention to her courses as well.

"Thanks." She said running a hand down the length of the broom. It felt nice, solid, like she was in control and not like everything was going to tatters. Sometimes, all that was needed was a guiding hand and that was something Haley had provided for her. At this rate, Elena reckoned with enough motivation and dedication, she might be in a position sometime in the future to have a shot for the try-outs but for now, she had some work cut out for her but at least, she had a working knowledge of the basics and Haley was good as a teacher as any. "It's because I have a awesome teacher." The fourth-year complimented grinning appreciative of the time and energy Haley was investing into her knowing full well she could be using this time for other things as well. Perhaps Haley saw her as a future Quidditch investment or something, that's why, now that was a funny thought.

Safe ground did sound nice as she glanced downwards before looking around at the pitch. "You reckon you up for a slow lap?" She asked tilting her head nodding at the vast expanse of room they had here. She thought it might be a good experience and give her a bit of a handle on how to work the broom. "Maybe just a round around the pitch and we call it a day? I'm sure you didn't come out all this way just to be stuck with me for hours on end." She said chuckling but was thankful that Haley had actually bothered to take her under her wing and give her a crash course. Elena reckoned that as long as she could get one lap under her belt, she would consider herself capable enough to be on a broom by herself without crashing into the nearest obstacle. The whole leaning backwards and forwardings thing had really helped her and it was time to put that to the test. It was a sort of personal test for her to see if she had really fully grasped what Haley had been trying to teach her.

Haley was more than satisfied with the successful training. Although it was a less productive day for her Quidditch practice, it was one for Elena and at least Haley was able to improve her teaching skills. Additionally, Elena was an excellent student and implemented Haley's tips in no time. All in all, today was simply successful. Still grinning, Haley watched her model student. It was obvious that she was proud of herself and she had every right to be. It was amazing how Elena had gained so much more confidence with the broom in just a few hours and it showed immediately. Whatever she wanted to do with her new skill, be it Quidditch, Broom racing or just a hobby she wanted to take up every now and then, Haley was sure there was a good foundation in place to make it a success.

"Ah stop it!" giggled Haley, blushing as Elena complimented her. She was sure that anyone else on the Quidditch team would have been a much better teacher and could have given her better and more tips, yet she was pleased that her friend was pleased with the redhead's teaching.

"Sure." Grinned Haley, placing herself on her broom. "And just because it wasn't the plan doesn't mean it wasn't good." Winked the girl at her, reassuring Elena that she definitely had nothing to worry about. Haley had indeed had other plans for today, yet the day was much more fun than it would have been otherwise. As she stood there with the broom between her legs, ready to take off into the air, she waited for Elena to get ready to take off as well. "On three?" Haley waited another brief moment before getting ready to take off. "One, two...three." She directed one last look and a wide grin at her flying partner before gently pushing herself off the ground with her feet. She leaned forward slightly for the moment and flew forward at a slow pace. Her head turned over her right shoulder to reassure herself that everything was going safely for Elena.

Once she felt she was safe, she picked up some speed and height. The wind flew through her hair as she built up more and more speed. She loved the feeling, that sense of freedom, the cold wind in her hair and the feeling that nothing could stop her. She had a firm grip on her broom, leaning way up and trying to fly as fast as she could. She took a sharp turn and then reduced her speed again until she was hovering in one spot in the air. She looked back and waited until Elena was beside her again to fly the rest of the way with her. She didn't want to put on a show, just to have flown properly for a short moment for the day.

Haley might have been being modest about it but in the brunette's opinion, it had been a much needed refresher course for her as well as a few pointers that had been much needed. At any rate, as long as she kept these concepts to heart, the Gryffindor reckoned she had more of a shot at the try-outs now than she had before and more importantly, she would not be face-planting into the Quidditch Pitch below and that probably was the biggest milestone achieved as of late. Silently relieved that she wasn't depriving Haley of any of her own time, the girl offered her a smile and a small chuckling watching as she mounted her broom. One lap around the pitch, a celebratory gesture of sorts to mark this successful training session.

Well, successful by both their standards. Elena knew that out there in a game, the expectations were much higher but skill came with time, it was one of those things you couldn't use your wand for most unforunately. "On three it is." She confirmed swinging her leg over her own broom settling into a comfortable position waiting for the redhead to do the countdown mentally recalling what they had gone over today. The numbers seemed to drone on forever as they started with one, scaled down to two before three finally tumbled out of Haley's mouth and they were off. Well, Haley was off as the brunette took a moment to gather her surroundings before gently tilting forward as the broom crept forward little by little, inch by inch as she slowly settled into a routine

"All set." She confirmed grinning and just like that, they were off zooming around the pitch. Haley was in front of her manipulating the broom with an ease and causal confidence that Elena could hope that she could have in the months to come. The wind produced by their flying and the air ripping through their wavy hair made for a nice feeling as she followed Haley around leaning slightly so that the broom circled the pitch in a calm and controlled manner before eventually, they found themselves exactly back at the starting point where they had just taken off. It had seemed so long yet so quick and in all of it, she hadn't tumbled off once. "We made it without crashing." She joked a hand reaching out to run the length of the broom feeling it's texture.

Such a simple mechanism yet it required so much skill and she had only one person to thank for that as her broom slowly desceneded seeking the solid grass that would provide her a sense of comfort. "Haley?" She turned to face the girl as the Gryffindor dismounted, a grateful expression on her face. "Thanks for everything, seriously. This is something I've wanted to master for a long time and you just helped me along." Haley Rose was defintely gonna be on the Christmas list for sure.
