The spells those on the other team through at the green haired Slytherin weren't a surprise to the girl. She had a keen eye and was more than aware that she'd be a prime target for the ending rounds of the match. So when the charms had been cast, she'd deftly dodged with the grace of the dancer she was, slightly twirling out of the way of the second spell in a manner far too extravagant to be appropriate in a duel but she couldn't help herself. Nor could she hold back the sly grin which settled on her lips as she took in the irritated opposition as they realised they'd been unsuccessful in their attempt at attacking.

There were only a few rounds left, Sarah knew, and she was aware that as of yet he team had the advantage. The opposition was a member down after all. It was the home stretch, on their home turf, and they were going to win this.

The Slytherin team seemed to be attempting to heal up their chess pieces, earning them a judgmental scoff from Maksim. What waste their time on such a pointless task? The foreign students would simply negate such efforts by attacking them again. It was a fruitless task, and Max did not like wasting his time and efforts. Rather, he chose to actually contribute to his team by casting a cloud charm around their opponents. Maybe they could just annoy the Slytherins into submission.

ROUND 11

Alan would see two missed offensive spells from both Dmitri and Henrietta, though the spell of the Slytherin captain would at least spread to sweep away all traces of fog on the field, clearing up the air and making it more easy to see what was going on. Other than that Astrea would heal both herself and Adonis, Alan had long given up hope that he would rejoin the duel and support his team, wondering what was going on with the lad. Irina would also heal one of her team mates with a minor healing charm. Other than that, not much happened this round. Sarah and Violet had been ready to dodge any spell that came their way, whereas Maksim and Amaury would use their turn to move to another square, forming a sort of diamond formation. Alan was curious to see how the teams would move on, the time was ticking and it was a race of who's team would be in a better condition when this was over.

Irina had decided that instead of sending an offensive spell to the in front of her, she was going to attempt to heal her teammates more. They had already lost one and at this point couldn't bear to lose another. Hoping that the spell would work, Irina cast it and wished for the best. She couldn't see an immediate improvement to Ret but had a good feeling that it had worked in their favor. Noticing the other team's queen doing the same move as her, Irina hoped that her team could keep up the good work.

The Hogwarts team seemed to be aiming only to keep their team in as good of shape as possible rather than take a stance on the offensive. Reparifors had been flying across their side of the board for a few rounds now, and they didn't seem to be letting up. To Amaury's left, Irina took it upon herself to heal Henrietta a bit, a good idea on her part. But, Anaury thought as he stepped forward a square, one side would have to make a move if either team were to win this match.

At this point in time, the game is coming to a swift end. With a few rounds left to spare, both teams have been finalizing their strategies, aiming for the coveted win.

But only one would prevail.

Dmitri was quite certain that would be the Viridian Vipers, of course. And from what he could see, the win was only becoming even more assured.

The end was close enough to taste, heavy and grim upon the tongue, and yet the two opposing teams stood tall, facing each other defiantly, barely worse for wear with only one downed and the rest in too similar an unscathed facade to feel triumphant. Whether the Vipers were to win or lose, whether up to the ticking of the clock or the flicking of their wands, any pride lost or gained would have a surprisingly insignificant result considering neither side truly ravaged the other. Regardless, Astrea had faith, however trivial it may be, that they were to fare well in the end.

Time was running thin. The end of the duel was behind only a pearly white mesh, victory ready to be embraced as a newlywed for either team. They were balanced and constantly trying to tip the scales between the weight of their attacks and Felix's limp body.

Both sides had put up a good fight but the promise of a golden pedestal behind that transparent, manipulable wall was only for one team. Those that would prevail. Ret offered a curt nod to her opponents, one last display of respect before a fire began to ignite in her gaze to ensure their victory within the last few rounds. Ret slid into a ready position, mumbling something incoherent which likely translated to you're going down.
