Section One. The Moment of Realization.
Morning came, he woke up, he put on his common robe, which wasn't his favorite, but it was interesting. Underneath his common robe was his yellow and blue tie dye shirt that was placed in a rainbow shape on the white shirt.
Sure, the boy was a big supporter of the LGTBQ+ community, and he was bisexual, but why should that matter. There were rumors of a Fall Ball coming up, and he surely didn't feel like being alone on his First Year, especially since it was also rumored that there were more Balls, such as the Blossom Ball, the Yule Ball, and the Fall Ball. There was also other events that seemed to happen whenever time was down. And the boy wanted everything to do with it.
He loved drama, and that was nothing he couldn't admit.
He smoothed back his hair, to the point where it appeared to fit in with the robe. It was a moment he was looking forward to, but who would he ask once he reached an area where everyone compiled. A thought clicked in his head. The Great Hall. He quickly rushed down to the Great Hall, holding a Sunflower that he crafted last night, it was bigger than his body, but he was making it for his friend, his very best friend. Juniper Kelly. Sure, she was a Ravenclaw, but who cares? She is amazing.
Cody ran towards the Ravenclaw Table, noticed Juniper Kelly, gave her the giant sunflower, and gave her the biggest hug.
Waiting a few minutes he then decided to pop off with the biggest question he could, in the most awkward way he tried to avoid.
"Um, um, Page? Uh- can we- I mean- can you- uugh! I mean, do you want to go to the ball fall, I mean, the fall ball with me?" Cody appeared abashed, clearly embarrased that he asked his BEST Friend to the ball, because he didn't have a boyfriend or a girlfriend.

JuniPage, Will You?
Juniper skipped down the hall, heading for a table. The thing about mornings is that you can sit anywhere or visit other tables as you please, and some people were still sleeping. She wore shorts and a pink tank top. She wore purple high top converse, which she had doodled on. She reached an empty spot, and slid in the seat, lifting her leg to climb over.
She looked at the food greedily, for she was like a vaccuum. She grabbed eggs, pancakes, and some toast. She ate the eggs with suprising speed, then the pancakes. She swung her kegs back and forth, shoving the food in her mouth like a hungry girl.
She dumped syrup on her waffles, and then drowned it with some strawberries. She result was delicious and full of sugar. She reached for a butter knife to spread some jelly on her toast, when someone walked up to her. Well, ran up to her and hugged her. She dropped her toast, which resulted in jelly on her shirt. She didn't mind it at all.
"Hi, Cody!!!" She said cheerfully. She grabbed the toast that was stuck to her shirt, and took a bite from it, shrugging.
He started to stutter, and she looked at him, curious. "HUH?" She asked, looking at his paper sunflower. "OH! thats sooo cute" Then he asked her.
She grinned. "Omg YESS! This will be SO FUN!" She hugged him, getting jelly on his outfit. Ooops.
She didn't think this would be weird, because they were best friends.

Section Two. The Bad Pun.
@Juniper Kelly: As mentioned.The red haired girl, Juniper, appeared to have jelly on her, and that had to make Cody laugh. Not to make fun of her, or to make her feel bad, but it reminded him of another one of his favorite songs from Queen. It was a small joke, and that only those who understood Queen, would understand this little- pun.
"Ok, so. what is a Killer Queen’s favourite jelly?" Cody asked, allowing Juniper to get all excited about the two going to the Fall Ball together. The proposal was a success it seemed.
After he ended up getting jelly on his shirt it seemed, he had to smile, finishing his pun. "Gunpowder gelatine!" He snickered. "Get it? Its part of the lyrics to Killer Queen by Queen."
Maybe the boy listened to too much Classic Rock, perhaps he was just too bored with how he was, so he took up on picking on others. But there was only one person so far that Cody didn't ever want to pick on, and it wasn't because she seemed tough and all, even though she truly seemed that way, it was because she had this friendly and bubbly spirit that Cody looked for in a friend.
"Um. Shall we design our clothes? Or rather, state what we want on it?"

Juniper brushed a strand of hair behind her ear, and crammed the rest of her jelly toast in her mouth, before looking for a napkin. She understood that Cody was telling a joke, but it was a joke she didn't understand in the least. She wasn't one to listen to music like Cody did, and she wasn't a nerd about that stuff either. In fact, she was more into pop music because she could sing along to them. Especially Ariana Grande. Singing along to her songs was hilarious because she could scream to make fun about her high vocal range that just seems... too much. Way too much.
When he told the punchline, she smiled with her mouth full. She swallowed and took a gulp of her drink before wiping her hands on a napkin. "I've never heard of it, but if I did, I'm sure it's funny. I mean, who names a song killer queen? It's probably real good!" She said, grinning from ear to ear. She made a mental note to listen to that sometime, but she wasn't sure when. Maybe she could borrow a magical radio from someone.
The crowd steadily grew larger as the late wakers filed in to eat the food. At her house, they woke up early every day. If they slept in late, then her father would take their breakfast and leave it in the chicken coop. That was because it was her job to feed the chickens in the morning. Here at Hogwarts, the food never seemed to run out. Like, ever.
She tilted her head at Cody's questioning. She had allowed herself to drift off into her thoughts, but now a burning question remaind. What would they wear? "Well, we OBVIOUSLY have to MATCH! It will be SO cute!" She said, tapping her chin.
she glanced at the paper sunflower he had made.
"Oh! It's a fall ball, right? Sunflowers are fall... kinda.. right? Cause the color! So... I have a perfect outfit!" Sure, it had been a dance dress to a ballet routine she had done once, but she never grew out of it and she was fond of it. It was pretty, and she had packed it with her. "You should wear like a yellow or orange suit with a sunflower somewhere!" She said, imaging already how cute they would look.

Section Three. What Did I Just Do?
A slight flicker of grimace struck the boy. He was not desiring matching outfits. Sure, it would be cute and all, but they were BEST FRIENDS! Why would they want people to think they were dating? Regardless, the boy looked at the girl in the eyes and grinned as wide as he could. "SURE! That'd be so awesome!"
He laughed, trying to make the girl think that he agreed completely. Even though he didn't. "An orange outfit? With a sunflower? A- are you sure? I mean, I can do that. I just don't think I packed anything orange except for some orange silk fabric. I'll see if I can sew any up."
Cody nodded. "Yes. I'll do just that." He turned around, looked out the entrance of the Great Hall, and realized that he HAD an orange outfit. "WAIT! I do have the orange tuxedo. I just threw away the tie, which was hideous. But I do have a candy corn bow tie, if that'll interest you. But where would I get such a sunflower? I doubt the Greenhouses will have them, especially with the darn mandrakes and bouncing bulbs."
He shivered. He realized how silly he was, especially asking out in public and having people watch him. It was awfully awkward and he wanted to continue that feeling. It was... majestic. To say the least anyways. Cody now realized how he asked out Juniper, and how she said yes. That made him quite delighted. In a hushed whisper, he called out, "Thank you Juniper. Or Page. Whatever you want me to call you anymore."
