Letters to Aberdeen

(And of course the other members of my dear family: No Absalom, Leah, Aphra and Isaac, I have not forgotten about you!)
[font=Monotype Corsiva]You probably are wondering how I survived my first few days at Hogwarts, and it actually has been fine! I talked to some people, maybe even made some friends! I got lost in the castle several times, but it is slowly getting better! I also found the library, which is honestly a lifesaver. They have so many beautiful books, just like you said, mom! I spent one afternoon in the Magical Creatures-section, and I think I might have found my future aspiration: Magiezoologist!
However, the thing you might be most curious about is in what house I ended up... And, I can tell you, you either may have expected it from the start, or you are surprised. There is no in-between. So, unlike you, mom and dad, I did not end up in Slytherin. I ended up in Ravenclaw! The sorting ceremony was very confusing, and I admit, I did need some courage to write you this letter... However, I am very happy that I ended up in Ravenclaw. The people here are very kind, but also very intelligent and they do not push me too much to be more social. They give everyone the space they need, and more importantly, they do not disturb you while you are reading a book!
I also got into the best dormitory you can imagine: The Bonelli's Eagle! The dormitory is actually a big bookclub, and so, I have a library at my disposal in my dormitory as well! I'm super excited about that! Futhermore, my classes are going fine I think. They start of rather slowly, so everyone can keep up the pace!
I will send you another owl soon! For now, this is all I have for you.
