The kids in the film aren't exactly in the correct order and their names are changed, presumably because they didn't really get the real Maria's permission to adapt her life story to a film or sth like that (she wrote it in her autobiography).

The father is rather hard and patriotic, but not that military-like or music-banning like in the film. (For dramatic effect ofc)

I- I meant nearly historically accurate XD but gotcha! I just got into Sounds of Music because of Theatre.
