Friend or foe?
Clair walked up the stairs to the Owlery, she had a letter to send and wanted to send it fast, she opened the door and stepped in, the place seemed rather Empty except for the Hundreds of Owls sitting on perches, she looked at the ground, it was littered with dead mice and voles, and also droppings, Clair had always loved Owls, she loved how they eat a whole Mouse the vomit up what they can't digest. She pulled back her long black hair into a ponytail and walked over to a school owl, she wanted a Owl of her own, but sadly did not have enough Galleons yet. So this School owl would work, she tied the Letter to the Owl's leg, "Perrier Farm please" she said to the Owl, even if her last name was Fernandez, her Mother had named the farm after her maiden name, Perrier.
She patted the Owl and then it flew off, she watched it as it flew off into the sky, then she turned around, she saw the Girl, her Frenemy. Rachel Davis. She looked at the Girl, "Hi Rachel," she said Polity but still Coolly, she was in no rush so she decided to see what kind of mood Rachel was in, was she going to be a friend or a foe today??

Friend or foe?
@Clair Fernandez
Rachel was in their common room. She was scribbling up a letter for her parents, which includes everything that had happened in this past few days. On how she met a friend on her ride to Hogwarts, how she was sorted in Gryffindor, and many more. Hopefully she'd get a pleasant reaction from them. Finishing up, she made way to the owlery. Climbing some stairs, she finally made it to the entrance.
Going inside, she saw a girl, specifically Clair Fernandez. The two has a, 'history' with each other. Mainly, them being friends with each other for a moment then the next, enemies. But this time, Rachel was in an average mood. Not mad but also not happy. Deciding to ignore the other for now, she searched for an owl to deliver her letter. After tying her letter and the owl flew up in the sky, she was interrupted by a greeting. Turning her head, she was calculating a response.
She wasn't feeling rude right now but also isn't feeling nice either. Looking blankly to Clair, she attempted to smile, and said a very simple "Hey." But for the heck of it, she'll start a little conversation. "What are you doing here?" She knows that Clair was there to send a letter but maybe not and was hiding a juicy secret. You know, gotta investigate first.

Friend or foe?
The Girl, Rachel, seemed to be in a OK mood, she had asked Clair what she was doing,
"well, I just sent out a letter, and You?" She was pretty sure it would be the same response, but she was curious, 'cause you never know!
As she waited for Rachel's answer, she looked around, at the tall roof and the many Owls, she loved the different kinds of Owls, "I have forgotten Do you have a Owl pf your own?" She asked, smiling, She figured that it would make life easier if she smiled and was nice,
"I sadly don't have my Own Owl, I am saving up for one though!" She pulled out the few sickles she was carrying with and shows Rachel, "see? There is Four here but I have Way More in my dorm!" Placing the Four Sickles back into her Pocket she looked at Rachel again, she could say more, but did Rachel want to Chat? Did she want to talk about Owls, and Sickles or Wands and spells? Did she want to talk about their houses? Or how great their favorite teacher is or how scary the head of Ravenclaw is? She knew the Girl was a Gryffindor, so she would not likely want to talk about the head of Ravenclaw, so instead she simply said "what d'you wanna talk about?" In a friendly way.

Friend or foe?

Rachel raised an eyebrow at the girl then sweat dropped. Rachel had thought of buying a pet, maybe a snow owl or maybe another cat. But as Clair has stated, Rachel was also saving up more because she knows damn well that her parents wouldn't give her the galleons to buy her own. So she resorted to plan b, saving up. But she only has saved up 2 galleons so far. Tilting her head slightly to the side, she answered. "Well, I guess, same as you. I'm also saving up but I don't know if I should get an owl or another cat to keep Leo (family cat) some company."
Looking at the four sickles on the girls hand, Rachel blinked. She was now confused, so right now, she and Clair are friends or being nice to each other? Well, that wasn't new but she could have thought that the girl wanted to be enemies for now. Getting asked what they wanted to talk about, Rachel thought for a moment. She wasn't in a hurry to get back to her dorm, so maybe staying on the owlery for a little while longer wouldn't hurt.
"Well, what do you want to talk about? I'm fine with anything. So I guess its pretty much about what your interest in." She only redirected the question back but it was true. She's fine with anything. Besides, she always has a knack for finding out different peoples interest. Wether it would be her friend or enemy.

Friend or foe?
Clair looked at Rachel, "Well, I would say an Owl if you already have a cat, I mean then the Owl would be helpful towards you right?" She shrugged, "But you never know, I mean I could be wrong."
Clair smiled, "I really like horses, do you like horses? Or animals at all?" Taking a breath she smiled a little, "I live on a farm, in Carlisle, It's a big farm 300 acres, what about you? City? Farm?"
Clair grinned, "Once I get more galleons I'll give you some for your pet, if you want"
It was a offer that Clair truly meant, she hopes that she could forge a friendship if she tried to be nice, if she tried hard to be kind then hopefully Rachel would return that same kindness, of course this was only a hope, but it was worth hoping, it was worth dreaming in Clair's mind if you ended up gaining at least a little knowledge then it was worth it, "Do you feel like you got placed in the right house? Or would you have rathered another house? To me I'm perfectly happy being a Ravenclaw, even if my sister does not agree" Clair smiled,hoping they could be friends for at least the day.
