Rosie tended to frequent the library a lot.
As stupid she could be, she was very serious about her studies. Especially when she was a semi-regular tutor who had to be corrected quite often! With the combination of this, and OWLS starting in the coming year, Rosie had to get serious about her studies. Even with the classes she couldn't bear to pay attention to. She could've asked her friends for help, but Rosie was an independent, incredibly smart, sixteen year old WOMAN who did not need to ask for assistance about anything ever! Right? Right!
Anyway, in came the fifth year, heading straight for one of the book shelves near the wall. There was a book in particular that she needed, which took a good few jumps for her to grab. After nearly dropping it, Rosie caught the book on Transfiguration in her arms, stumbling a bit. She let out a silent huff, thankful she didn't let out anymore noise when trying to obtain the book. How embarrassing it would've been, if she had dropped such a large book on the ground, and then proceeded to scream. It wouldn't have been the first time, Rosie was quite the regular with being lectured on volume in the library. That was also partly why she didn't ask for her friends help to study.
She hummed as she started walking back towards the table. But suddenly, something quite tragic was beginning to come her way.
That lace. The crucial lace in her sneakers. She hadn't tied it tight enough. It was coming undone, while Rosie was blissfully unaware. Her large book shielded her view from her incoming doom. As she walked towards the table, the lace began it's assassination. As her shoes moved, the loose lace came undone, and reached to Rosie's other shoe. And with one fatal step, everything fell apart.
Rosie let out a yelp as she stepped on her shoe lace, resulting in a heartbreaking, loud descent onto the floor, along with her incredibly heavy book. "I double checked my shoes.." Rosie whined, her face in her Transfiguration book. The girl took a moment on the floor, contemplating her life choices up to this point. This was just awful.

school robesWhen Violet needed to study, she had to options. The Slytherin common room, which at the moment was probably full of people, or the quiet, book filled library. Of course, if she was to concentrate her option for today was library, so picking up her books and things from the table at the great hall. Rushing through the small hall, she finally arrived to her destination, the crowded, yet quiet library of the castle. Taking her spot on a desk in between some shelves, Violet opened her book not even minding the girl that was standing in front of her at the time. To be honest, she had barely noticed her.
A few minutes passed by and Violet was going to dip her quill in ink when a loud thud could be heard. ''The f-'' Violet stood up from her chair and looked at what in the world had made such a scene. The girl that she had ignored before was on the ground, muttering something about double checking her shoes. Violet glared, annoyed at the distraction. Her irritation was shown through every pore of her face as she looked down at her senior. ''What do you think you're doing?'' Violet whispered harshly. ''This is a library for God's sake, be more careful!'' with a loud 'harrumph', Violet sat down at once on the chair she was occupying before, to go back to what she had been doing.
Violet had no pity for the Hufflepuff girl whatsoever, her fall and yelp did not affect the fact that she had been distracted by such a loud noise. The Slytherin was not the kind of person to go out and help somebody that had tripped, instead, she would usually complain and keep doing what she had been doing before the incident. And today was not an exception for this kind of behaviour.
