Tyzon decided it was time to do a little bit of studying, and what could be a better place to do that than to do it in the Library? He didn’t really need to study as he was already about halfway through all his current textbooks, and classes had just started for him. But he wanted to check out some extra books as well as get a head start on the Defense Against the Dark Arts textbook for next year, seeing as he had already finished reading the current year's book. He left the Ravenclaw common room and then proceeded to make his way down to the floor where the Library was located, and once he got to the Library he walked through the doorway and into the room, and just stopped to look around at everything this library had to offer.

He stood there in awe at the rows among rows of books and parchments. The shelves went high up onto the walls, with even a second floor of many more shelves beyond shelves. Tyzon just couldn’t believe how many books were in this place, he already knew he was going to be spending a lot of time in this room, he just couldn’t wait. Tyzon started to walk up and down the isles of books and shelves as he looked over what each section had. Some of the sections had interested him more than others did. He eventually grabbed a few books for some extra curricular classes that were not mandatory as well as grabbing a few Year 2 DADA books to start his studying.

Once Tyzon had a good handful of books, he needed a place to set his things down and commence his reading and studying. As he left the rows and rows of bookshelves, he reached an area where a bunch of students were. There were tables all over the room for people to set themselves up and read. There were also secluded sections for those who wanted to not be bothered and just wanted to study or read in their lonesome. Tyzon saw an open table and made his way over to it. He placed his books down on the table in front of him and took a seat. The books he grabbed other than the advanced DADA books, ranged from Ghoul Studies, to Magical Theory, Ancient Studies and Flying. Tyzon grabbed the Year 2 DADA book and started to read it.

About to meet @Tyzon Blythe and others in the Library

Simon usually went to the library for one of three reasons.

His first, was like the majority of students at Hogwarts - whenever he needed research for an assignment, an essay, or to freshen up his knowledge for an exam. That was usually what the Library's population was made up of and it increased towards the end of every term or big assignment coming due.

Another reason he often found himself in the Library was that he was naturally curious, and now with this wizarding world before him, he had more questions than ever before. In fact, Simon carried a notebook with him that was dedicated just to questions that would pop into his head and he could go explore them through the pages of the books in the Library.

The last reason, and today's reason, was just for a place to read. Sometimes he liked to read books for the sake of reading books and that's where he found himself that particular day. His favorite spot over in the corner had been taken by a Gryffindor study group and it wasn't that he had actual claim of the area so he retreated to one of the larger wooden tables. With his bag at his side and book flat on the table, he read and didn't even realize that he was not only humming a tune, but also that his quill was tapping on the table in rhythm with his melody.

It wouldn't be a bad tune by any means, as Simon was musically inclined, but it might have been disruptive to those around him who were looking for a quiet place for their studies.

Be kind to one another. (*iNPC is Miles Thatcher)

It was a sunny day at Hogwarts, students scattered around the courtyard and halls chatting and catching up with friends. And here is Rachel making her way to the library. And the reason for that is, she was failing one of her classes. Its not that she didn't like the library. To be honest, she liked reading and sometimes, in her free time, she would wander the library and look for some books to read. But right now, she was looking for some books to avenge her failing grades.

Entering the library, she was met by rows of books and quills scratching on parchments by students. Getting some books that she needed, and some extra books that isn't relevant to what she is studying for reading of course, she made her way to a table to settle down there. There was an empty seat but she wasn't sure if it was free or if it was taken. It was either she just sat there without a care, or be polite enough to ask if it was open but disturb the two closest to it.

Deciding that asking would be alright, she got closer and made her voice quieter because she was too loud sometimes. "Excuse me, is this seat taken?"

Ming was having a bad, frustrating day. Not to say that most of his days were not bad or frustrating in some measure, stuck in this deathtrap of a school as he was. But between dueling practice, organising a self-defence program disguised as an event, magical homework and muggle homework (that so few people in this world seemed to think was important), the Chinese bot could hardly find time to breathe.

He had forsaken his regular table near the transfiguration books for a table closer to the Defense section, and that was the issue that was vexing him today. Several of the participants of his event were highly advanced casters, and he needed a way to tip the scales to make the event more balanced - the point of the exercise was to make everyone better, not to make the likes of Schneider have a good time.

After being frazzled by complicated tactics, looking into terrain and trapping options, Ming was quickly running out of ideas for what he could do. With mounting frustration, he shut down the latest book - one about the tactics used by a group called the Knights of Walpurgis - with some frustration, before standing up.

Perhaps a little walk around the aisles would spark some inspiration in him?

The library in his experience was made of two kinds of people - the regular faces, like him of Miss Fraser of the eagles, and increasingly the fifth and seventh years - and the occasional outsiders. This second category of people were the ones he sought out now, if for the sheer novelty of watching them in the wild. It was more entertaining than watching the regulars, who he had gotten a sense of one week in.

Today his eyes caught on two Outsiders who were first years - he vaguely remembered both being present in the little boat ride on the first, but he had not had much of an impression of either of them. The boy (Tyzon) seemed to be knee-deep in books and seemed to be emulating his inner fifth year. Were it not for his height or their passing familiarity, Ming might have confused him for an upperclassman. He was approached by what looked to be another first year - a girl (Rachel) this time. This one was unfamiliar to him, and they shared a quiet word. It would have been an interesting people-watching experience, and Ming would have spectated silently. His plans were thwarted by someone unfamiliar to him. An upperclassman (Simon), surely, but an outsider who seemed determined to hum a tune off-key. Worse, as he made his way over to a large table, he all but decided that his quill and the table were a drumset.

Now, Ming was hardly musically gifted himself - he had the barest education in musical theory, but something about the tune irked him. And before he had quite put his thoughts to order, he found himself making his way over to the upperclassman rather affronted by this callous lack of regard for those around him.

"Excuse me," Ming's tone remained very carefully neutral, though his voice carried. Dark eyes going over the upperclassman once quickly. The blonde did not look like anything special: his uniform seemed ordinary enough, though his pale skin spoke to hours spent away from the sun. "Not to rain on your parade, Mister. But could you . . . . not do that?"

Tyzon smiled and smirked a few times as he looked up every now and then as he watched more and more of the other students enter the Library, all so eager to learn and study, it brought joy to his face as he witnessed this. He then watched as a boy came over to the table he had been sitting at, and staked claim to that section of the table, which Tyzon of course had no claim to and didn’t mind in the least bit. Then all of a sudden he heard the boy starting to hum a tune of sorts and then tapped his quill along to the tune that he had been humming. Tyzon wasn’t one for breaking the rules, and didn’t want the boy to get in trouble. “Hey.” He whispered to the boy, hoping to get his attention. “Keep the humming and tapping up, and I'm sure the Librarian will have no problem having you stay late for detention and putting away all the loose books.” He added, as he pointed to a large cart of books that people had been placing their books on rather than returning them to their proper spots around the library. “I love books, and I wouldn't even wanna get stuck with that job.” He said with a slight chuckle. “I’m Tyzon, by the way. First Year Ravenclaw” He said to the boy with a smile on his face.

Then all of a sudden a girl had come over to ask to use another part of the table he was using. Tyzon quickly pulled his books closer in order to free up more table space for her to use. “No please. Go ahead and sit.” He said to her with a smile. “Sorry, i may have gotten a few two many books at one time.” He said to her with a chuckle. “There are just so many books on so many different subjects.” He said, as he inner nerd was clearly coming out in full view. “I’m Tyzon by the way. First Year Ravenclaw” He informed the girl with a welcoming smile and a soft voice, hoping to not distract any of the surrounding students.

Then a third person had made his way over to the table as well, but this time the person didn’t seem very happy at all, and this person didn’t come towards himself or the girl that had joined him, but instead towards the first boy who joined him and was humming a tune and tapping his quill towards it. “Told you so.” He said with a slight chuckle towards the first boy as the newest boy had seemed to not be very thrilled about his humming or tapping in the least bit.

In the Library with @Tyzon Blythe, @Rachel Davis, and @Hui Ming

Simon was lost in his thoughts, which seemed to happen more times than not these days. There was the man that came to the door back in his house in London during July who happened to leave behind the box. It was rather obvious that there was something IN the box or why else would he carry it with him? A box he was hoping to give or share with Simon's mother. The small box in which Simon had brought with him to Hogwarts but had yet to open.

There was his distance with his girlfriend. She was avoiding him - both conversationally and physically and he didn't know what to make of that. It brought about so many feelings - sadness, anger, even a bit of deception.

There were more difficult assignments, new topics, broomracing, and his own personal list of hundreds of questions about the wizarding world that he wanted answers to. So much was going on and it seemed there was never enough time in the day to achieve everything in which he hoped to accomplish.

So he didn't intend to sit there in the Library and cause noise that would distract others, and when the First Year Ravenclaw brought it to his attention he immediately paused. He looked to him and slowly scanned the Library nearby, seeing another First Year Ravenclaw gave an apolgetic look from one to another. But before he could even deliver an apology, a Slytherin boy came up and snapped at him. Simon was aware enough to realize this boy was no where close to him, and while he might have disrupted the two Ravenclaws nearby, he wouldn't have bothered the boy if he either 1) stayed where he had been or 2) kept moving along to whatever else he was doing in the Library that day. It really only affected those close to him.

And Mister? Granted Simon was older but Mister was something that a little kid would call an old man at the park.

He looked to the Slytherin boy, not with the apologetic look he gave the others, but raised one eyebrow as if wondering if he was serious and then disregarded a reply at first. He didn't want to be confrontational. He wasn't a confrontational person, but this guy had approached him so rudely. "You know, I've been coming to this Library for over a year now and I enjoy it because one can be a little less formal and relax while they study or read, rather than my experience with the Study Room where complete silence must be held. I do apologize for my slight disruption but also recommend that if anyone wants complete silence that they might take themselves to the Second Floor and find the Study Room."

Who made this Slytherin the prefect of the Library? Not even the Library elves had a problem with his low humming.

Rachel smiled at the boy, and sat down. "No, its fine. I sometimes always go for too many extra books than needed as well. Kind of like my escape from reality... Or therapy." Rachel shrugged. He then introduced himself as Tyzon, a first year just like her but a Ravenclaw. "Well, nice to meet you Tyzon! I'm Rachel, First Year Gryffindor." As she was settling down, setting her books on the table and starting her journey on studying, she heard a boy, who she seems to recognize at the first year boat entrance, talking to someone unfamiliar to her. A boy with blonde hair and seemed to be a bit older than first years who was humming earlier that Rachel paid no mind.

She was alright with a little bit of music going around but the boy that approached him, seemed to not be a fan. Shaking her head slightly and swear dropping to make her focus, she needed to mind her business before her grades dropped more. But she was easily distracted again by the books Tyzon has. They weren't out of the ordinary but she just noticed that he had two DADA books. The other is for year two students. Turning to the said boy she said with an eyebrow up while smiling.

"Let me guess, a big fan of the DADA subject?" Rachel herself was interested in the said subject but she was more into Charms and Potions after she got more and more involved in classes.
