Lathan Johnson | Ravenclaw | First Year

Lathan Drei Johnson was born May 31, 2010 to Marcos Johnson and Andalusia Moore at the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, NY. Marcos was a member of the United States Army, while Andalusia was a with from the United Kingdom, working as a homemaker. Though his mother's only child, Lathan was actually the second-born son of Marcos, his first being a young boy by the name of Jerome, who was born six years before Lathan and attended private school in Florida. Lathan's parents would divorce when the boy was nearly three, resulting in him and his mother leaving the states and moving back to Andalusia's home of Liverpool, England.
Upon relocation, Andalusia had Lathan enrolled in Dover Primary School, where he would attend for his educational needs over the next nine years. Andalusia herself would take up a position as a secretary for the Ministry of Magic. It was very apparent that Lathan was definitely ahead of his peers in terms of many things, the most notable being his desire to teach himself to read things that appear beyond his comprehension and his aptitude for music. He often isn't afraid to take on a challenge and will do absolutely any- and everything to succeed in his goals. This would, sometimes, get him in trouble as there would be times that Lathan wouldn't hesitate to throw his classmates under the bus in an effort to benefit himself. That said, Lathan is, ironically, a very loyal friend and takes no issue with standing up for those he is close to. He is usually mild-mannered and often chooses to avoid anger whenever possible, but when he is crossed beyond a limit, Lathan's anger knows no bounds!
Being a half-blood wizard, it was no surprise that Lathan's magic would manifest itself early in his childhood, but the degree to which it was shocked his own mother! One day. the boy was watching his favorite television show, when his mother forced it off in order to get him to eat breakfast. This sent Lathan into a very violent tantrum, which manifest energy of such force, it shatter various glassware in the room, including a chandelier! Andalusia would then realize that the time had come to begin separating her child from the Muggle world, apart from his summer visits to his father's home.
Now, having been accepted into Hogwarts School of Witcraft and Wizardry, Lathan has been sorted in to Ravenclaw, the same house that his mother was a part of when she attended school. He seeks to gain as much knowledge as possible in an effort to become one of the Ministry's greatest Aurors.
