Head in his hands, his fingers tugging at his blonde tresses. He was going to be prematurely bald by the end of the match. Racked with anxiety, all he kept on saying to himself was --this was a mistake. This was a mistake! He should have done something safer like bomb defusing or lion taming.

Another bludger flew towards Valentin and Slava knew what he had to do, blocking it with his body. He muttered a curse under his breath as the blow shook him, the pain finally sinking in. He closed his eyes for a second, took a deep breath, and refocused himself. This was worth it. This was the sport he loved, this was where he wanted to be. He was a member of Team Hydra and he would do as much as he could to help them get to victory. He just hoped it was enough.

Charles flew nearer and asked if he was okay. “Psh, I’m fine. Never been better! Those will leave some serious bruises, though,” he responded in Russian, glad to be able to use his native tongue around other Durmstrang students. He was also clearly not fine, having taken multiple bludgers by now, but his determination was as strong as ever and his eyes still shone. He grinned at the younger student as he complimented him, calling him a king. “If another one hits me right after this and it takes me out, I’m blaming you for rigging it,” he joked, making a mental note of the boy's request as he flew away.

Hogwarts wasn't tied for first place anymore, since the Wixes had pulled ahead by 30 points. Gia grumbled under her breath each time any of the other teams scored a goal, and she always made sure to cheer for her own team whenever anyone did anything even remotely helpful to their team—or even if they just did something interesting. It was definitely easy to lose herself in the Quidditch game, and all of her slightly darker thoughts from earlier had disappeared who knows how long ago. "We can do this, Gryffindor!" she shouted.

@Autumn Ivy Viola Tempete would make her way around the perimeter of the pitch. The game was reaching its climax so she would speed about the very edge hoping that her time away would not be for too long. That the game would not be won or lost in her absence.

Alan and Lucietta would scramble for the quaffle. The Gryffindor would shoulder past the girl and grab hold of the quaffle. Thinking quickly he would rush towards the Hydra rings. For the past few rounds nobody was defending the rings, an easy score he believed.

...and he was right.

He would lob the quaffle through the rings and the crowd would cheer.

The two of them would rush the quaffle a second time. Alan was on his game and he would grab the quaffle a second time and repeat the process. Hydra's undefended rings would be an easy-score and with a simple lob of the quaffle another 10 points for Hogwarts would be announced and the crowd would explode in a roar of applause.

A third and final scramble for the quaffle would result in Lucietta grabbing the snitch. She had no preference which goal she would score with -- neither of the other schools had made a great effort to defend their rings. Luka - @Kazuo Shimada was the only one that was protecting their rings and as the game was coming to its near conclusion there had to be a change in battleplans. She would rush Gryffindor's rings and toss the quaffle through the rings with ease. Another easy ten points.

Lucietta grabbed the quaffle and scored!

Contrary to popular notion, Ana and Scarlett made an acceptable team. The two of them shared a broom like siblings but they got the job done. When the bludger made its way across the pitch and in their general direction, the two of them would hit the bludger with the end of their bat. A loud PING reverberted from the metal ball and wooden bat that rattled them both as the ball was sent in Slava's direction.

Slava was previously injured, really on his last leg when that bludger struck him in the back, between his shoulder blades and rocked him from the broom. He would lose his grip and start to fall. He would plummet towards the ground.

Both @Henry Knight - Charles Alluring and @Ginevra Tsuchiya - Gregorí were on lifeguard duty. The two of them would watch as their teammates were battered. They were prepared to save the Niffler if he fell but he somehow held on! Slava was not so fortunate. Gregorí would rush to the ailing boy's aide as he plummeted to the ground. Just before he would have made impact with the ground, the small boy would grab hold of Slava and hoist him up onto the back of his broom. Woozy, aching but still in the game the two of them would ascend once again.

Milo would focus on his nemesis - that random hot guy that for whatever reason he needed to knock off the broom. Arjan was a powerhouse and so wasn't Nikita, a two-for-one was too good a deal to pass up.

The bludger would hit Nikita hard in the side. Despite her likely stubborn neature she would find it impossible to hold on, her grip would slip and they (not just her) would start to fall. Arjan and Nikita both both would start to plummet towards the ground.

@Henry Knight - Charles Alluring would see the do get hit hard by a bludger and fall from their broom. As they plummeted towards the ground he knew that he could only save one. Either the incredibly hot guy or the girl. Well... one of the two was obviously more interesting than the other. He would see the falling girl and snatch her wrist and pull her onto the the back of his broom just before she crashed into the ground.

Nikita is sharing a broom with Charles.

Arjan likely expected to be saved, he was before. He was too pretty to hit the ground. Or well, he might have thought. Well, Charles might not have agreed. {Perhaps now he could be the resident pretty boy for a little while, at least until Arjan's face got better.

The focus ultimately was on the pair of Seekers as they threatened to end this game. A pair of attacks would come for the Niffler.

A bludger would strike Cassie's bat and be launched straight for the Niffler. Valentin was an agile young man but he was at the moment indisposed, his attempt to grab the snitch took precedence over everything else - including his own body. Yet, despite all presumptions regarding the fragile-appearing boy, he was more durable than he let on. The metal ball would strike him in the side, an audible crack could be hard part-way across the pitch. Yes, it hurt. Not that it deterred the young man as he attempted to end this game once and for all.

The Niffler is damaged 500/1100 health, is still flying.

Kage Suzuki had the power to end the Niffler's gold-sniffing days once and for all. He just needed to get a solid blow on the Seeker and then this game would be over.

The bludger would hit the Beater's bat and rocket towards Valentin. He would be hit hard once again, this time in the thigh as it failed to get a body shot. That being what possibly saved him but the power behind the blow was enough to nearly take the boy down.

Madhap was going to attempt divert Evelynn so as to give his team a little more time. They just needed a few seconds now that their Seeker had spotted the snitch. Cheating was a non-issue for the teen as he made his way next to Evelynn as she attempted to dive for the snitch.

A final act of Arjan and Nikita before the two of them were knocked from their broom, Arjan would whack the bludger and attempt to take the dangerous Gryffindor down. It was an act of desperation as well as one that they thought that they could achieve considering the vulnerable position Eve had to place herself in to spiral dive. Yet they missed and shortly thereafter Nikita was knocked from her broom.

Katherine would try also, she had no bludger to launch at the girl but she would attempt to take Evelynn out by crashing into her. A simple, just not particularly elegant plan. Only Evelyn's nosedive for the snitch allowed her to speed past the girl before they made impact. Katherine would be caught obviously by the announcer, given a penalty lap for her transgressions but the game was nearly over. It did not matter if she was caught cheating, not really.

Slava would also try to take the red-headed girl down. Yet there was something that placed the boy at dis-ease, something that distracted him from his objective. When the bludger came by him, he would fail to raise his bat and his opportunity would pass.

@Rafael D'Spacito and @Piérre Marchonné were prepared to save Evelynn as she survived the gambit.

Luck was not on poor Ana's side. It was not that she was not trying her best, she truly was but the blasted snitch evaded her best efforts. She would strain her eyes and scan the pitch, specifically in the area where the other two Seekers were headed. Sadly, an insect found her eye (critical fail).

The two of them went into a daring dive, hands outstretched as they attempts to snag the snitch. The fluttering, buzzing gilded objective would graze both of their fingers and they would attempt to grab hold of the snitch. It was not that the Niffler missed, in fact he felt the snitch... it was just that Evelynn was faster. She would snatch the snitch and fully grip the devious device in her hand as it struggled to buzz free.

Evelynn would feel the familiar snitch in the palm of her hand and divert away. She had it! They won! Hand raised, golden snitch in hand, the glint from the captured device would shine. The crowd would cheer and the game would come to an immediate end.

The game was over so fast.
