Michael looked over the land out in front of him, his mind on the days that have passed since he started at this school. He let out a shuttering breath and slide his hands across the picnic table in front of him. Michael was waiting out for his flyer to work, a mentor group older years could come and help, and younger years could come and get help. He hoped the idea was a good one because he didn't want all his plans to fail like last year.
He shuttered slightly, pulling his coat off as he felt goosebumps on his skin. He hadn't seen Percy since months before, not even in their common room. Michael was using his feels for Earl as a crutch so he didn't have to focus on the other in the back of his mind.
Michael's head lifted up as he heard a stick break under someone's shoe, someone new coming up. "Welcome. Not many people are here yet, but they will be soon, maybe." He moved to lift a tin full of candy up, "Fancy some sugar?" He asked trying to add words into the silence that followed the student's arrival. Maybe this would be a good thing.
He looked over towards the other picnic tables, all holding a basket of different foods, so the other mentors could talk privately with their charges.

Noah took a walk, not knowing where he was going. Granted, Noah tried to avoid his observation of what's going on outside, or what he is surpassing, but he felt that there had to be a event going on for the Mentors, as he was continuing his walk.
"Not many people are here." Noah heard that much, but he was wondering where the sound came from as a stick broke under his foot. "Hello?" Noah asked, curious.
He continued his walk towards where he thought the sound was. "Fancy some sugar?" the boy asked, pouring tea.
"MICHAEL? Hello! Of course I want some sugar!" Noah yelled happily as he ran down to the feasting area, hugging Michael Miller upon his arrival. "Thank you Michael for hosting this event. I will definitely enjoy this picnic, and I will try to ensure that you have a good and decent event for the Mentors." Noah paused. "That is why we are here, right? Or well, the reason for the feast of yours?"
A puzzled expression struck the youthful, yet tiny, boy's face. "I'll gladly have a nice communication with my mentoree, or well, the student I am mentoring, I just have to find her first!" Noah exclaimed, hoping Michael didn't think that he lost his student.

The flyer had certainly worked, and while Lea wasn't a first year, she still had an interested in a mentor. It wasn't even necessarily because she got lost in the castle- although that still did happen often enough- but rather that she could learn spells from someone older than herself. It sounded like a great plan, plus after last year, the hufflepuff needed to practice socializing- and not stammering at every word. Getting help with that would only be an added bonus.
So the young girl would meander over to the picnic tables, hesitation slowing her steps as the hufflepuff debated if this really was where they were supposed to meet. It seemed Lea would be the third, with two others that the girl might have vaguely remembered from her classes- so probably second years like herself. Fingers fiddled with the threads of her black and yellow scarf as she neared the tables.
"H-hello." Her attempts at eye contact would flicker for a moment between the two before ducking her head back down. Maybe the socializing skills were more important than Lea had previously realized. At least the energetic one would fill the silence and confirm that she was indeed in the right spot. Were both of them mentors? It seemed that the other two had the opposite plan than she did, glancing around to see if others would be arriving soon. But first, it made sense to thank the person in charge for creating this picnic.
"Th-the food looks good... thank you." Those were all the words mustered before her voice once again fell hushed, ducking her head back into the comforts of her scarf.

Opening ♦ Dialogue
Who knows what goes on inside the young Ashwood's head. Whether or not every action (or even inaction) is done with non-malignant intent from her person. No matter the issue, one always has to be on guard involving the girl in general.. And so when one day Vale noticed a flyer posted across a board in the magical school of Hogwarts, it was up to anyone's guesses if she truly was there for a mentor of her own. For now, the current issue was that she was there at the meeting, all a mess and her green, school robes a bit worn despite only been in school for less than a month in that due time.
The young girl blinked, looking around among the rather empty tables with various baskets of edible foods among them. And quickly, without delay, she was eagerly searching among the baskets for something to eat, having built herself an appetite without delay with her mysterious antics from earlier.
When she finally found something worth her tastebuds, she immediately shoved it down her mouth while she laid across the table. She kept eating away until she was sure she filled out her stomach for the time being. Her robes ended up a bit worse for wear from the event, but Vale cared less. When she finally finished eating away like a beastly creature, did she finally decide to place her attention elsewhere.
She leaped down from the table and immediately began her short search, observing the people already hanging about. Vale made a large smile, and went on to check those around her with quick glances. She swirved around those who already arrived to the event, mentally questioning what she would learn from a mentor. Maybe they knew all the rooms in the school? Are there rooms where they punish the students in painful manners? Will Vale get a turn? Her thoughts were nearly endless, until they snapped back to reality once she finished her detective-like search around the many tables. It was time, she finally decided, for introductions.
"Greetings everyone. Vale Ashwood at your service! I hope you all strike terror and fear to your enemies, and make them loathe every day of your existence!" She made a quick bow to those around her, revealing rather 'proper' etiquette that didn't match her own words. This, was indeed, the Ashwood behavior.
Have mercy.
