It was a warm, sunny day. Perfect for a picnic on the grass or a walk by the lake. These things would be wonderful, but all Grace could think about was studying. While she may excel in most classes, Potions was the class Grace had to work the hardest in. All of the ingredients ands steps got jumbled in her brain. This was the reason Grace was going to the library.
Walking in the door, Grace took in her surroundings. Books, chairs, books, books, a librarian, and more books. Not many people were in the library, most were spending time outside in the sun. Grace took a few steps and sat down at the closet table. Reaching in her book bag, she grabbed her potions book and assignments from class. During class, Grace was given Potions homework to complete by the next class. She was very worried about getting a good grade, so she decided to open her book to page 394 and start reading.
‘Lists of potions ingredients’, read the top of the page. Grace’s eyes carefully scanned over the page, trying to take in some information.
Flobberworm… thickener… Sleeping Draught
Lacewing Fly.. stew.. Polyjuice…
Lavender… calm.. Fire-Breathing
Pulling out her assignment from class, Grace was ready to start. The homework was fill in the blank, so Grace knew she could finish it within the hour. While she grabbed her pen and ink, the library door opened.

Potions, she hated them, it was because of potions that she could not run anymore, for her entire life.
Knowing that, it was no surprise that the pale Slytherin would put no effort in her Potion class, she could not even listen to the teacher, it was too hard, too painful.
So now Hildegard was desperate, she had a potion homework and had no idea how to deal with it.
She had decided to come to the library, planing to do the homework as fast as she could.
And even that annoyed her, but things changed as she saw one of her classmate in the library, with parchments about potions.
An idea came into her mind :
- I will use her to get the response and then I will be done !
The pale Slytherin slowly came closer, planning her plan, walking with a limp toward the Gryffindor girl like a snake.
When she was close enough she putted on a cunning smile.
-Hey ! We're in the same Potion class aren't we ? I'm Hildegard Schneider, and you ? I'm sorry to bother but I saw that you were doing the Potion homework, is it fine if we do it together ? She asked to the blonde girl.Interacting with : @Grace Swan

The heavy door scraped against the floor as it opened. Grace’s head shot up to see a girl walking into the library. She had seen the dark haired, Slytherin girl in her Potions classes. Showing a small smile, Grace made eye contact with the classmate. After walking a little closer, Grace could see the girl’s small limp. Grace kept her smile and got excited when the classmate gave her a smile back.
This could be great! We could work on our Potions assignments together.
Grace hoped that the Slytherin would walk over to her table so that they could work together. A few seconds later, the girl had made it over and started speaking.
“Hey ! We're in the same Potion class aren't we ? I'm Hildegard Schneider, and you ? I'm sorry to bother but I saw that you were doing the Potion homework, is it fine if we do it together?”
This invitation to work together made Grace extremely happy and it showed on her face. Even her eyes crinkled with joy as she grinned.
Hello! I am Grace, Grace Swan. Yes we are in the same potions class. I am surprised to see you here, but it is good to meet you outside of class. You haven’t bothered me whatsoever, I would love to work on Potions with you.

-Nice ! The prey bitten the hook ! The snake rejoiced.
-Oh is that so ? Why are you so supprise ? Tell me. She asked her classmate out of curiosity.
Hildegard came closer and took a seat, putting her bag on an empty chair next to her and took out her wand, as she pointed it at her bag she casted a spell.
-Wingardium Leviosa.
Her potion book got out of her bag levitating toward the table. Once done she did that again for her parchment.
Schneider then took out a quill, not her self-writing quill as she knew that talking in the library would get her undesired attention, it was just a normal quill.
Once everything on the table, she noticed that her book was... a bit small. Hildegard then remembered that she had used the Shrinking Charm on it to carry it easier.
So she looked at Grace and spoke :
-I'm sorry to take all this time Grace, I will be ready soon !
-Engorgio. She casted on her book.
The book came back to it's original size and the girl opened it to the page which would her for the homework.
Lastly she took out a whistle and casted the Whistle to Watch charm on it to turn it into a watch.
-Tunc Sibilus Schneider incantated.
Her whistle turned into a watch and she looked at the time, estimating how much time doing this homework while cheating would take.
-Hopefully not more than 30 minutes. She believed.

Grace smiled at the Slytherin as she talked. Grace probably should have been paying more attention to Hildegard as she spoke, but her Grace’s sight was hazy in an almost dreamlike state. Studying for quizzes and assignments had taken most of her normal sleep time, so dozing off was something that had happened often in the past couple of days. Grace snapped out of her little trance when she was asked a question by the smirking Slytherin. She watched Hildegard use the levitation charm, Wingardium Leviosa, for her book and parchment.
You just seem like the type that wouldn’t have to study! You look and seem naturally smart.
Grace replied to the question with a small grin. Grace watched Hildegard cast other spells on her personal items as she organized her own things by hand. The confirmation to get started from Hildegard was all Grace needed to begin their potions assignment. After a bit, Grace starting talking again.

-Thanks ! But I think I just might be good at casting spells, at least I was told was good at it, not so sure I'm good at potion and other subjects. Hildegard replied to Grace.
What a nice girl ! Grace proposed Hildegard to look at the questions that she did not even do. So the Slytherin took the occasion without hesitation.
Schneider looked at the replied and wrote the replies while pretending she was only "writing the thought process and method.
-Thank you ! I will write the process, that will save us some time. The snake lied about.
-Okay I've had least secured that ! I need a few more answers and I'll be done ! She thought.
-Tell me, what did you think about so far for the other questions ? Maybe I can help with the reasoning and we can come up with answers for them too. The girl asked planning to make her find all the answers herself.
-Ugh I hate potion, what about you? By the way, are you good at it ? She asked, hoping to get a big yes from the Gryffindor.
Hildegard looked at the whistle she had transformed into a watch, getting nervous as she really did not want to spend so much time on that thing, preferring to go outside instead.

Grace quickly scribbled the final answers down onto her piece of parchment. It had seemed that Grace and Hildegard had gotten the same answers, which she was thrilled about. Hopefully the Slytherin got the same answers on the final few as well.
Here you can check the final questions with these! I’m pretty positive that they are correct. Grace smiled at Hildegard while passing her the parchment. She listened to the Slytherin’s complaint, but payed no mind to it. Negativity for potions was understandable, as it was a hard subject, but Grace had a natural understanding of it.
I’m actually pretty good at potions, but I understand what you mean. Potions can be a bit of a difficult class. If you ever need any help, you know where to find me. You seem like you are great at it though! Grace smiled.
Grace put all of her books and supplies in her book bag while waiting for Hildegard to finish with her paper. Grace’s head was throbbing with a fresh headache. She needed to get to her dorm and sleep. It was a good thing that she had finished all of her homework. If Grace had to do more she would surely die of exhaustion.
After waiting for a while, Grace looked over at Hildegard. It seemed that she was just copying Grace’s work. Grace would always help anyone if asked, but having someone steal her work was something she would not put up with. Grace snatched her parchment from the Slytherin and started ranting- quietly as they were still in the library.

Grace was fuming with anger. Why would someone steal what was not theirs.

Schneider quickly took back her parchment books, quills and ink bottle into her bag, she was done, anyway. But the blond girl that had found her deception annoyed her.
Why would not she let her copy in the first place this potion nerd?
Schneider wanted to leave now that she was done but not without teaching this Gryffindor a lesson on helping others.
-Well you know what ? Yeah I cheated on you, got a problem with that you nerd ? She meanly told the lion.
If you like your homework this much that you won't just share why don't you do it again ? She added.
-Let me help, you little barbie nerd ! She said with malicious intend.
The disable girl took out her wand, pointing it at the girl's homework,

Her spell rendered Swan's homework unreadable, Hildegard smirked, looking at the girl for an enjoyable reaction. She may had made an enemy but she did not care anymore at this point, she was on her way, no one should stand on Schneider's way.

Grace was shocked at Hildegard’s actions. She repetitively called Grace a”barbie nerd.” Never heard that one before, but the description was not far off- as Grace was a tan, skinny blonde.Grace’s homework was ruined after hours of preparation. She did not hate Hildegard, but had a strong dislike for the Slytherin who ALMOST became her friend. But friends don’t steal without asking.
Grace’s homework had a jumbled up mess of what was once her perfect parchment. When Hildegard first cast the spell, Grace’s eyes almost popped out of her head. She would have never guessed that her homework would be messed with that day, especially after she went of her way to help the Slytherin. If Hildegard had simply asked instead of being a devious snake, she would have had all the answers at her fingertips.
Grace shakily threw the rest of her belongings into her book bag, hurrying to get it done. She quietly pushed in the chair, as they were still in the library, and speed walked to the door. Grace did not want to cause a commotion, so she stayed as calm and collected as possible for a girl in her situation. Giving one final glance back at the sneaky Slytherin, Grace walked out of the doors of the library.

At first she was shocked, it was really fast, she did not expect the Gryffindor to go so fast without a word, she really believed she'd at least say something.
But it looked like that lion was actually not that brave, she believed people from that house would stand against her in that situation.
But after realizing it Schneider could not contain her laugh much, the barbie nerd reaction really was funny !

The girl took her things and started wondering around the library, enjoying her free day.
As she was wondering she saw a book, which stood out, and curious the girl took it.
It was a purple book with something illegible written as title, written in a gold colored font.
There was something attracting about this book, but also something scary, the disable girl hesitated a while and decided to cast a spell on the book.

She finally could read the book title : "Mysteries", that took they snake's interest and she decided to borrow it and read it at night. She left the library with something to look up to and went play outside.
