New friends and magic part 2 open Closed

Elowen walked through the train, breathing heavily. What would Hogwarts be like? She was, to be honest, a bit more nervous than she had let on to her parents. Actually, scrap that. She was a lot more nervous than she had let on to them. A hundredfold!

She walked through the train, running her fingers along the smooth walls. It seemed quite fine, for a train. Would Hogwarts, she wondered, be the same? Elowen was not particularly used to fineness. Both her mothers believed that life should be simple. Not that that was likely, when she was literally going to a magic school.

She slowly reach a compartment, and peeked in. There was a girl, the same age as her, sitting inside. Dare she go in? Would it be rude? Would the girl mind?

Elowen sighed. Thinking like this would not get her any friends, would it? And she had promised her parents she would make friends. She had to make friends. She, in a sudden fit of boldness, clasped the doorknob and opened the door. It had to be alright. It had to be alright.

Elowen smiled at the other girl, and slipped into one of the seats. “Mind if I sit here?” She asked, shyly.

"Come on, or we will be late for the train!" John´s Mum said in the courtyard of their house... John and his dad came rushing out with all his stuff... (His siblings where at his aunt´s). " Im nervous for the teleportation or whatever you call it" John exclaimed. His dad ignored that. His dad asked him to hold his hand, and hold all of his stuff... "We will be there before you say Potato." John´s dad said...
"Pota..." *pop* "toe" he said as he was flying kind of through the air. One minute he was in Madrid, the other Second, he was in London, at Kings-Cross. Soon after that, his mother popped out of nowhere holding a bag, ful lof wizarding sweets. They went through the barrier.
"Make sure to find friends! and be good for the teachers!" said
John´s mum.
"I will mum, you know I will." said John.
Quidditch is a great game by the way, John, don´t forget to go to the try-outs! Do be careful tough! said John´s dad.
" I sure will go to the try-outs dad!! John exclaimed.
"Bye!!"
"Bye dear boy! Have a brilliant time! See you on your Holidays!"
On the final whistle to go on the train... John got on. He was so exited! He had two challenges, find good friends, and find a compartment with nice people... All the ones he passed, had people.
Until this one where two girls... They looked around his age... He didn´t feel comfortable just going in... But before he could stop himself, he opened the compartment door. And he just stood there...
"Huh, sorry" John said before they could say anything...

"Yep. I am a German, but we had to move our house to Welsh for some reason." said Maria. They noticed that their new friend became sad after telling her about wanting a hug, so she sat next to him, and gave them a hug to cheer him up. "A hug for John, so he won't be sad," said Maria, cheerfully.
While that was going on, another girl had entered the compartment. They seem to be just as shy as Elowen by the way they spoke to them. However, unlike them. They introduced themselves first, and then mentioned the friend part. "You are welcome to stay here, Alexis. We like to have new friends, and do you want to give poor John a hug too? His grandpa went missing, and his life got tricky without them." said Maria.
She said that, so John would feel comfortable with her company, because there are three girls in this compartment now. 'This guy is slowly becoming my little brother, and I don't mind. I get to hug him, and we can play games with Elowen and Alexis later.' thought Maria. 'I can't wait for that to happen, because it is going to be fun.'
They got a bit excited about that idea of hers, because they want to have fun with their new friends.

He felt very rude just to barge in like that.
Hopefully they wont mind...
Though that is what compartments are for arent they?
Finding one with nice people, making friends...
When he entered, he suddenly though of his grandfather. He felt sad, but he also felt happy and exited. he left his stuff in the room, and got his Robes on. When he changed into his robes, he felt proud. He was really, really, really exited that his parents let him go. He was thinking to himself that he will make the most of Hogwarts, so that he can find his Grandad. He already felt a bit home-sick. He will miss his parents, and family, but he HAD to make the most of it. He was remembering what his mother said, "Make sure to find friends!". He has to make friends. Not bullies, Friends. Hopefully he was good with magic... Because he was DESPERATE to be an Auror. Just like his Grandad. He headed towards his compartment. When he found it, he opened the door, sat down, and relaxed for a bit. When there was complete silence for around 5 minutes. He got his bag of sweets. Held them out to the two girls, and said: "Would you like some sweets?"

Elowen smiled, picking at the leather seat beneath her. She fiddled slightly with a strand of red hair, then said, “Thank you, Maria. And…” she glanced at the boy. “I’m afraid I don’t know your name, but thank you too. I am going to Hogwarts.” She paused slightly, pulling at a loose strand on her jumper.

“It must be strange going straight from home schooling to full on boarding school,” she said. “I went to an in person school, but it was never a boarding school. When I was small, I used to be quite terrified of the prospect — my only exposure was Malory Towers, and I was scared I would be bullied because I was awful at hockey and tennis, and had never played lacrosse, and hated any sport that wasn’t to do with horses. Still am, really. But I was excited when I got the letter to Hogwarts. Isn’t it odd how one changes?” She stopped, trying to catch breath.

After a brief pause, Elowen gathered herself up. “I quite forgot to introduce myself! Apologies. I’m Elowen, Elowen Bird.” She, rather awkwardly, stuck out a long, thin hand. “Pleased to meet you. I hope we can all be friends.”

"My name is John" John responded when she asked.
"Im also going to Hogwarts. Im nervous but at the same time exited!" John explained.
It must be pretty cool going to Malory Towers! I also love horses.
There was a long silence, so he started fiddling with his sweet bag. He popped a little lemon-flavoured one in his mouth.
"Hmmm, that is good" he thought aloud.
"Nice to meet you Elowen Bird." Shaking her hand.
"My name is John Fernandez. I am half Spanish, and half English.
And I am on a quest to find my missing grandfather... I dont know if he is still dead or alive. He disappeared whilst he was on holiday, weirdly enough." John informed them. "Life has been very tricky without him being around"
He opens this little bag, different one from his sweet bag, and holds in front of Maria and Elowen.
They are home-made, warm, chocolate-chipped biscuits.
"Would you like one? They are home made!"

When the boy asked them if they would like to have some sweets, Maria's eyes went wide open, because she loves to eat them. "Yes, please. I would love to have that," said Maria, who put her hands out for the sweets.
They then looked at the girl, because of what she said. "You're welcome, and yeah. It is strange to go to a boarding school, but I am happy to receive the letter. I get to meet you guys, and learn about magic too." said Maria, as she smiled at her new friends.
The girl told them about going to an in-person school, and as soon as they said the friend part, and introduced their name. A big grin formed on Maria's face, and they were curious about the muggle sports and the horse. "We can be besties, Elowen, because I never had a friend before," said Maria. "Also, you don't mind if I hug you, and you saw a real horse, and played those muggle sports before? That is awesome, and I only know about those things, because of my parents or my tutor."
Maria said that since she doesn't know if Elowen would like it if she gives them a random hug.
The boy introduced his name too, and it surprised Maria about John being half spanish. "That is cool, John, and I am a german." said Maria.
John then told them about his missing grandfather, and this caused Maria to feel bad for him. "Do you want a hug too? Because I don't mind if you want to have it." said Maria.
They wanted to comfort John by asking him for the hug, since he has to deal with his missing grandpa.

"Of course we can be best friends!" John exclaimed. "Wow! Your German?! Cool!"
" I would like a few hugs every once in a while..." John said sadly.
He was now thinking about his father... How he must feel about his father gone missing. It all made perfect sense... His dad was very keen of putting John in Hogwarts... Then a few days later... the letter came! John was now thinking if his dad wanted him to learn spells and enchantments, so that he can help him find his dads dad! When he was at home, when the owl came, John´s dad was delighted. His little sister, Ruby, was even more exited than John was. She would say: "You are going to be a wizard!". She even boasted to her friends that John was going to Hogwarts. (Her fellow wizard friends). John was very sad to leave Ruby behind, she was the best sister anyone could have. His best-friend in Spain also got a letter from an owl on the same day as him... but it was to another school sadly. Before the left, they did their epic handshake, gave each other a hug, wished each other good luck and went to part off to their different schools.

Alone and confused Alexis wondered the train station looking for platform 9_3/4 until she came to the end. Clumsily she stumbled towards one of the column, trying to stop herself she stumbles through the column. Confused she checks for scratches, none. She looks at the platform sign, 'Platform 9_3/4'' is written on it. Confused, she makes her way to the train. After seeing that there are no seats where she can be alone, she finds the closes empty seat and hastily looks for her MP3, starting to calm down she looks around to see the people she sat with. After a few deep breathes she decides to try and interact. "H-hello, I-i-i"m Alexis." she says stuttering. It was easy to tell she wasn't comfortable where she was, but despite that she continued, "I-i really h-h-hope we can become fr-fr-friends." forcing a smile. Embarrassed, she rummages for her book, and hides her face, peaking over occasionally to see what the others were doing. "I wish I could talk normally to people i don't know," Alexis mumbles, cursing her stupidity. Envious of the people around, she reaches back for her MP3 and looks at the photos saved of her family. Scrolling through, she stops on a picture of her father and herself, and feels her face warming up and tears poking at the back of her eyes.
