Chess Combat (Match 3)
Interacting with: Our team
Roleplaying as Roberta Martin
Hexcode= #967bb6
Picking herself up, untangling one limb at a time, Roberta gritted her teeth and thought how she might have done better if she had taken her time and cleared her mind first.
Before such overly analytical criticism took hold however she reminded herself that she could be her own worst enemy. That was not advisable, nor was it becoming of a warrior. Her coach would no doubt have critique for her after the match, it was their job to provide feedback, not hers. Right now she needed to focus and try to get her head back in the game.
Dusting off herself off, she took stock of her options. There were not many, but there were a few.
She could feel her team's eyes fall on her as she attempted to recover what pride she had lost in the backfire. How she responded to this microscopic failure was how they would remember her. It would come as no surprise to those that knew her well that she had no intention of letting one mistake out shadow her growing list accomplishments. Pride came before the fall, but the fall did not necessarily need to be guided by despair.
In the midst of fire and backfires, Yefim spoke to Roberta and her eyes would meet his as he looked back to see her. It was almost more unnerving than her own mistake had been. She could not help but felt as though his words were meant to be encouraging and kind. To anyone that knew him well, this was quite unusual indeed. Only moments ago he had been intimidating their opponents.
"Two steps forward, one step back." She countered without missing a beat, admitting that he was right after all. Progress was progress. There would always be another opportunity if she had the courage to seize it. She couldn't let them down now.

One wicked grin spread across Enzo’s face as he watched his spell finally, at long last, hit its target. And only to add to this small victory, Yefim’s spell so conveniently managed to find its way to the queen as well, making his gloating even more relevant. If it wasn’t already made abundantly clear, hopefully that would show her and better yet, all the little puny worms that this team was certainly a force to be reckoned with.
Though, unfortunately not long after a minor setback befell upon them after their own queen accidentally unleashed a spell upon herself. However, she took it quite maturely, and when standing in front of a whole group of people that is a rather admirable feat. So, as long as it didn’t cost them the game, it wasn’t too big of a deal in Enzo’s mind.

Chess Combat (Match 3)
Piper had no time to see what was happening before the creepy kid lifted his wand and cast Incendio on her. Piper smelled the familiar scent of fire burning up her arms and tried not to panic. She was on fire. Again. The other boy, who had mocked her from the very start, had also lifted his wand, and Piper felt the sudden force of the Knockback Jinx slam into her, forcing her to step back and struggle to breathe. She was on fire and winded, and worst of all she was cornered. She hated feeling this helpless and found her mind wandering to what it might feel like when she passed out. Would it hurt, or be more like falling asleep?
Snap out of it. Focus.
Now was not the time to think like that. Things could still change, loss wasn't certain until it happened. Their aim would get better, Piper told herself. She felt the heat of the fire again worming its way through the fabric of her poor robes. Soon the flames could burn her badly. Keeping the nightmarish flashbacks at bay, the second-year gritted her teeth and glared at the other team. They had made a dreadful mistake.Doing as strategized

Hanako was cheated on. Here he was thinking it was going to be Hanako and Miss Flipx2Lovanna. Tango-ing together while trying to flip the other one first. But to his dismay, Miss Flip only had eyes for Stinky Pei this time and round. Was their time together not enough for her? Was he not good enough? Betrayal. Utter betrayal. No wonder why she didn't see his flipendo coming. Because of this, he felt almost no satisfaction from my successful cast. Almost.
Hanako huffed and combed back his hair dramatically. " Heh, I'll get her eyes on me again. I'll show her that I'm a much more worthy opponent than that hamster " he muttered to himself, clearly agitated that he wasn't anyone's target.

Gray let out a loud sigh when he finally received some sort of respite from being mostly extinguished by his teammate. Thankfully, at the same time, his opponents only decided to move closer instead of setting him on fire once more. His clothing showed the battle scars of the fire, leaving his body burned and in constant pain. His breathing was still heavy but slower than before, almost as if he was finally getting a hold of himself while a small fire worked away at his arm.
The prefect tried his best to send another sell her way, but like the last few attempts, it had gone astray. Trying to hit someone while you were mentally out of it was harder than it looked, if only he could focus for one second just so he could get a vital hit. Tiredly looking around him he needed to figure something out before he was eventually wiped out. In the little time he had, Gray needed to make something count.

The new round brought a new series of spells, and it looked like the bad luck had spread to the whole board. On the Slytherin team, Percival had tried once again to hit Greta, this time casting the blindfolding spell; it almost looked as if he had got her, but the Durmstrang girl was too fast and dodged out of the way of the spell. At least the flames that were around the boy went out, leaving him no longer aflame. Piper, not wanting to be aflame anymore, successfully cast Extinguo on herself and avoided any more damage from the flames.
Hanako also successfully cast his spell, the flame of his Incendio Duo flying right towards Lovanna, and dealing 126 HP of damage; the girl didn't look in good shape, and Lydia kept a close eye on her, in case she might fall unconscious and needed to be brought to the infirmary. Greta this time aimed her Flipendo not only towards Opeila, but also towards Percival: while the boy managed to avoid it, Opeila just barely made it, and still got hit, receiving -90 HP of damage. Roberta and Lovanna aimed for the two Slytherin students as well, but both Flipendo were easily avoided by Percival and Opeila respectively.
After that, Opeila successfully moved to B1, just as Starlee moved closer to their Queen into A2; for their opponents, Yefim moved in C3, while Enzo in E5. The board looked quite different, with the Viridian Vipers surrounding their Queen, while the iNpc team spread and conquered the board.

@Hanako Tone
Lovanna knew why Tone was targeting herself because she brought out the mother card and the toilet card, she hadn't meant it she was just angry with him so she brought it out to see if Tone would back off but she had gotten the wrong end of the stick.
Now Tone was going to keep attacking her until she was on the floor.

This was his fault for not using his powers for one second. He was imbued with fate, the fate to rule and conquer. His father had always told him that his faith in himself would be the deciding factor between persecution and victory. He should have never even considered that the enemy team could push through their aggressive attacks, because now more spells were failing and their ranks were getting hit hard. He shook his head, realizing that this was all up to him.
Believe.
When he opened his eyes again, his playful smile was gone. The prey was cornered, it was time to eat.

Opeila was tense. Very tense. Spells were flying across the field, some hitting their mark, some not. So far, more of the other team's spells had hit. The Durmstrang girl had avoided her spell as well as Percivals and moved forward.
Too late Opeila realized what was happening. She remembered Galton Lansdales ability to cast spells at two people at the same time. Was it possible that their opponent was able to do so as well? Yes. She was. Quickly Opeila ducked away, only a little too late. The spell clipped her, making her stumble a bit. She moved to the free cell in front of Piper, shielding her.
From the corner of her eye the Slytherin looked at Percival. He seemed to be able to stand alright still but darn, he had been hit a lot so far.

As exhilarating as sending spells back and forth consecutively was, it was actually rather pleasant to be able to get a moment to catch his breath, since all Enzo did was move backwards.
As well as not being in a line of fire, it conveniently gave him some time to re-focus his energy and ground himself. Now with a clearer mind, he readied himself for whatever would come next.
