Chaos always ensued at the beginning of a race, everyone kicking off their brooms at the same time people were bound to crash and fall. Those that wouldn’t be were few and far lucky. Hardly any of it mattered; all she felt was the exhilaration and freedom of the wind against her skin and the weightlessness of being up in the sky. Sure the sport was dangerous, but that was half of the fun.Stats| Stamina: 10 | Evasion: 7 (8) | Strength: 11 (12) | Wisdom: 4 (5) | Arc Power: 3 | Accuracy: 13 (15)

As she moved along, she noticed that they had left three of their teammates behind, most notably the rather large boy who wasn’t as lucky as she had been in moving through the narrow passageway. Not that that had particularly surprised her, given his large stature, limited spaces were not his best friend.
Once she broke through the tree line, Angel herself would not be as lucky managing to dodge most of them; she still hit one. Zigging when she should have zagged was a perilous error and made it seem like she had tried to hit that tree. (rolling 1’s are fun) All in all, it would not stop her, though as she pressed on, noting that Florian was still by her side and Sebastian not too far behind. Two others from other schools were right with them as well, though, and another just ahead of them, but they looked a bit worse for were. Someone to keep an eye on.

Kicking off with instinctual ease born out of countless hours of the day spent in the air, Johannes was off. Steeped in the beautiful chaos of the chase for as long as he could remember, he relished in the familiar rush of wind through his hair, the knuckle-bleaching grip upon his beloved lifeline holding him against the grasping pull of gravity, the glorious sense of vague camaraderie in pursuit of something greater. But he couldn't get too far ahead of himself, couldn't just do whatever he wanted, not as part of an organised team. Unenthusiastically holding up the caboose, he took up his role as a human safety net as everyone else flew by, just in case too many of his allies found the path ahead difficult.
From the corner of his eye, he could see one person fall from a particularly harsh blatch and an idea came to him. Might as well make himself useful early on in the game. Gusty move, boy, to start the race off dipping his toes into the illegal pool! Unfortunately, it didn't catch quite right and he was left cursing the missed bright blue shot. Below him were two unlucky racers who had already met the ground before they got any farther.
He sent a wide-eyed stare toward his kind-of-sorta-romantic-fling (?) and would-be target as the other zipped by, hoping desperately his blunder had been missed, if not by the moderators glaring intently at racing activities, then at least by the southern babe he had once spoken so sweetly to. Tamping the brief spout of panic down forcefully, he readied himself for the next chess move of strategy.

Mikael frowned slightly as he watched his spell miss his target completely. The pain of disappoinment gnawed at his brain as annoyance drew through him like a hot knife. Hadn't he promised himself he would never fail again? It was such a silly promise but it had been one he had wanted. The boy flew on in hopes he could make up for lost time.

So it didn’t go as well as planned. But a couple of crashes was nothing really. There were spells to fix bumps and bruises, but what wasn’t fixed was a long broken heart. He felt a spell whip past him, and looking behind him he saw a staring Johannes. His eyes narrowed, it maybe wasn’t him. It could’ve been someone else, right? “Seems like a long time to hold a grudge!” Was Rett over Johannes not responding to his owl? Well… no. But nothing could be done about it and he had moved on. Was Johannes still stuck on him?

Things seemed to be going quite well for their team. Sure, there were a few wrecks, obviously not everyone could be quite as nimble as our young french 'hero,' as he tended to call himself. Both he and one of his teammates had made it pretty far, with minimal injuries. He had managed to scrape against the sides of the walls against a narrow passageway on the course, battering himself up lightly. But he pressed onward, making it out of the rest of the passageway unscathed. He again managed to brush against a few trees, the speed and chaos of it all attempting to catch up with the young boy, but he would continue onward.
With only one person ahead of him, and a few non-teammates beside him, there was certainly still a chance to win.

At the signal, Iris was in the air, speeding as fast as she could. There was so much commotion from everyone taking off at once, so much noise, confusion, almost too much to pay attention to. Iris shut down, ignoring everything around her. If someone were to try and say something to her, chances were she wouldn’t even hear them. She buckled down, becoming one with her broom, trying to keep her pace as fast as possible.
It was far from easy and Iris felt her shoulder hit hard on the stone of a narrow path. It hurt, badly, but she didn’t bring herself to slow down, she was sure she’d survive and it wasn’t life threatening. It had been a long while since she’d been hurt but she somehow managed within her to ignore it. Or rather, just push the voice to the back of her mind screaming ‘IM HURT IM HURT’.
She pushed on, staying ducked down. Again she banged against something, someone. Maybe twice she wasn’t sure. But she wasn’t keen to slow down. Her strongest skill after all was speed. People were going down, spells, hits. Iris kept going. At some point she realized she’d drawn ahead and chanced a look around. She wouldn’t be alone for long and being in the front made her a huge target.
Iris buckled down, ignoring the throbbing in various parts of her body. Now she had to make a decision, she was in front, but what would her next tactic be?

The Map@Mars Tien is out of the game -- 2 rounds in a row without a post.
Starting on Hogwarts grounds the students will rush over a grassy plain towards a cave that spits them out in the Forbidden forest where they will zig-zag between trees until they reach Hogsmeade. Once there they will perform a hairpin turn and return to the grounds again through the forbidden forest. There are 2 creatures also lingering about the track a Mosp and a Boggart.

It seems everything has only just started. Spells flew everywhere, and Paige could not see a thing. She was used to being able to see things, she never liked the pitch black. She liked to know where she was going, thank you. She heard spells flying everywhere, and was just aware of Simon next to her. "Simon, you still there?" She heard another spell being cast, eerily close to Simon. She gasped, startled. "You okay?Simon?" She was just calling to hear her voice to make sure she was still there. She couldn't even see her outstretched hand.
However, now was the time to play. To show what they've got. A person from another team was in close range, and Paige did something she saw in quidditch once. With Simon doing it as well, it was a success. Luckily, the boy didn't seem to be hurt, but he was knocked off his broom. "Ha! Take THAT! That's for- for... " Her voice trailed off. "Oh, nevermind."

@Xailah Alptraum & @Anastasia BeckettI kept flying, kept moving. Despite my mass and muscle, I was rather agile, and at first there was nothing to worry about. The course was starting out easy. All the better to build up false confidence before dashing the hopes of all who dared to undertake this dangerous race. I could no longer see most of my fellow Durmstrang racers, though I did manage to spy some people dipping into a narrow space. With a final glance towards the girl [Xailah], and an affirming nod, I dipped in, just in time to skid past an enormous boy [Hugh Lowe] built not terribly unlike myself.
The area was difficult to squeeze by. I was not not my brother, and though a bit painfully I rubbed my back on the sides of the wall, I grit my teeth and continued to dodge and weave around the stalactites and stalagmites. This part was easy as a former Quidditch player used to dodging bludgers and people while protecting the seeker. I tried to find the easiest path with the least concentration of people, but in the end I ducked and dodged through the cavern [that nat 20 though]. I don’t know if I could say the same for the girl, but I wasn’t watching as I finally burst through the passage and into the forest.
Ahead of me, I saw a Hogwarts teammate slam into tree after tree, and I winced at each impact @Lucinia Thawin, but I was no better off, trading blows with a few branches which seemed to find themselves in my path. I did feel each sting, and just ahead of me I spotted the familiar scarlet uniform of a fellow Durmstrang student. I pulled up alongside, allowing me to look right into the eyes of Alexei. @Anastasia Beckett
"Слева от вас, товарищ Алексей! On your left, comrade Alexei!" I called out in Russian tainted with my strange yet signature British-Italian lilt as I pulled alongside and waved at my upperclassman. The accent would give me away, assuredly, though the words were common and bland. “Продолжай лететь прямо и верно, Алексей Стрела! Финишная черта будет нашей! Keep flying straight and true, Alexei the Arrow! The finish line will be ours!”
I spared a glance behind at the Hogwarts girl which I had blanched at the beginning of the game. She was still continuing to grow on me. I turned to Alexei. “Эта девушка в стиле стимпанк действительно что-то собой представляет, не так ли? Я подумываю о том, чтобы поговорить с ней после гонки. Она определенно хорошо летает, не так ли? Львица неба. That steampunk girl really is something, isn't she? I've half a mind to talk to her after the race. She certainly flies well, doesn't she? A lioness of the sky.” I smiled at my comrade before turning ahead again. There was still along road ahead, and I needed to be ready for it.Action: Gossiping with Alexei, Doing as StrategizedStats:

Faster. Faster.
Theo would not get distracted again, he would not be hit by another spell. As soon as he was on his broom and back in the air he almost lied down flat onto his broom and shot forwards, leaving many opponents behind- including the guy who had casted the spell on him a few moments ago, nice.
The forest got darker but Theo didn't mind too much, not losing orientation in the dark was easy to him. He hissed when thorns cut his legs and he felt warm liquid run down his legs- the downsides of flying so quickly. But this was great. He was getting there...
