Slava was ready to defend the Niffler, in position flying along beside the other boy, but it turned out to be unneeded. No one seemed to be targeting him this time. He had still been alert nevertheless, glancing around in all directions, protecting the white haired boy. His teammate. Slava was quite attached to his teammates, although he wasn’t one for sappily expressing it. He preferred casual bumps here and there, a fist bump or a shoulder pat or a smile. For him, teammates were one of the most important and deep connections. He formed the connection quickly and it stayed strong, even if the teammate left or didn’t care much for the curly-haired boy in return.

Speaking of teammates and friends… Madhup was engaged in some sort of contest with Charles. “Hey, watch yourself there, Charles!” he called in Russian. The grin on his face showed that it was lighthearted and well-intentioned. “That one bites! Could say he’s… Mad.” He said the last word in English, switching the languages to make a small pun. He stuck his tongue out at Madhup, teasing his friend. Deep brown eyes drifted around the pitch as he spoke, speaking with his teammates while paying enough attention to the game to be able to snap into action at any moment.

This round was a lot less chaotic than the last, although still a decent amount happened. This round Milo had been on watch out duty to catch any fallers from his team, however thankfully this was not needed. His team seemed to be doing relatively well so far, they got a couple scores and tied up with the Gryffindors. This was the kind of tension that made Milo get goosebumps up the back of his neck. The kind that gave him a rush of adrenaline.

As the game took off, all thoughts of terrorist attacks and her benchedness faded from

Mel's mind. Her eyes were glued to the whizzing blurs of color above her, all bitterness melting away. Her sport could do that to her —make her forget everything but the players, the quaffle, the bludgers and the snitch. How exciting this was! Mel had missed Quidditch since the end of term. She was practically on the edge of her seat, cliche as that was.

Unfortunately, things were not going so well for the Hydras. The Thunderbird winced

as the other two teams both scored, then scored again. Perhaps her team's first-string seeker, that boy "The Niffler" could catch the snitch early? A new pang of jealousy arose in Mel. So much for all bitterness melting away. It really should have been her up there. She knew thinking it made her petty, but at the moment she didn't particularly care.

A few shouts rose around her, shaking the girl from her thoughts. It seemed the snitch

had been spotted by several of the seekers. Would it evade them? Mel got to her feet to join the cheering and eagerly await further developments.

@Kage Suzuki and @Piérre Marchonné would take advantage of the chaos and attempt to return to broom. If Eve failed to grab the snitch, they were going to need a full team to withstand the Hydra and Wix assault.

@Rafael D'Spacito would putter around the perimeter of the pitch. Was it really worth it? Well, if the moniker the Blatch King is any indication, then yes. The tedious lap would waste precocious seconds.



@Henry Knight - Charles Alluring was not above cheating, not when it came to winning. People came to watch those 'questionable' moments. The would circle the pitch, soaking up the jeers and the cheers of the crowd. For this short time he was the star but he would need to get back on the pitch as soon as possible, if the Niffler failed to grab the snitch they were going to need all hands available.



Ana had not found the snitch. The chaos of the pitch would make it almost impossible for her to find the fast-moving, tiny, gilded target. Being the only one that has not identified the snitch, she was behind. She would tell what direction the snitch was in (roughly) as she saw the other two Seeker's train their eyes on the same, distant target. She would look in the same general direction.

She would look in the general direction the two other Seekers were but she would not see it - that faint glint. That distant buzz like an agitated bee. No, it was not there! Was it? It had to be...

Valentin "Niffler" Schnell and Evelynn both saw the snitch. The object that could end the game if it was in either of their grasps. They would both have to act quickly if they would have any hope of getting the snitch. It was likely the other teams would converge on them both, if they failed to take this final opportunity to put them down it would mean the end of the game.

Alan Vanes would realize that Evelynn had spotted the snitch, a distant glinting gold goal that would end the game and name Hogwarts the victor the second year running. He would grab Eve's broom and spin. Alan was not just a pretty face, he had some brawn as well. A rapid trio of rotations, Alan would make certain Eve met terminal velocity before he relinquished his hold on the younger girl's hand and release her in the general direction of the snitch. Eve would hear the wind whistle in her ears and she rushed the golden snitch.

Madhup Hexum, would reach out to the albino and take hold of his slender hand. The more physical of the duo, the teen would spin about on his own internal axis, mirroring the desperate play by Gryffindor and launch the Seeker in the direction of the snitch. Was Valentin built to be manhandled like this? He had done worse for the sake of his friends and would do a lot more to win a Quidditch match.

The both of them would see it, still propelled by the centrifugal force of their allies they would be shoulder to shoulder as they attempted to snatch the snitch from the air and end the game. Niffler would reach out, a frenzied, desperate attempt. Evelynn a moment thereafter. She was closer but the snitch would dart away.



Lucietta was the only chaser that was going for the quaffle. It was an easy victory for the Wixes as she seamlessly, without opposition in both the grabbing as well as the scoring. Nobody else tried to grab a quaffle. Nobody else tried to protect their rings.

It almost felt like cheating. The rings were undefended with the exception of the Wixes. Luka was not going to let anyone score against them. There was no need because Gryffindor and Hydra both were too concentrated on the snitch and on fortifying their defenses. Lucietta would grab the quaffle and meander over to the rings, either set as it really did not matter which and then lob the quaffle through the rings. She would then take a leisurely flight back to mid-pitch and grab the quaffle again and again. It might have felt like a trick, like a prank. Nobody would simple 'let' her score, yet here she was again and again scoring.[/i] Thirty points in total were earned for the Wixes. Would the other teams regret leaving the quaffles open as they have?



Two seekers had spotted the snitch, this might be a short game. But the end was not quite yet. Everyone knew that the priority targets would have to be Evelynn and the Niffler. The Niffler stood out, like a spector on the field. Cassie as going to do what had to be done. She was going to take down the Niffler before the game was lost. The bludger would move through the pitch with terrifying speed, Cassie would strike the lead ball hard with the side of her bat. She could feel the force of her blow rattle through her, deep in her bones.

Slava would fly lateral to the Niffler as he was flung across the pitch. The Niffler was an attractive target, if they failed to get him down the game could end here and now. When he saw their Seeker in peril, he protected the team captain with his own body. The bludger would strike Slava hard, he was going to be taking one for the team.

Rocked, he would hold on as Gregorí appropached. This was not a quaffle game, something the Hydras had decided early on. The Keeper had abandoned his post once again, Gregorí was flying restlessly about the pitch watching the Niffler. He would save their Seeker if they fell. He would save Cassie if she fell. Prepared to do what he must, rings be damned, neither would fall.



Arjan Oberoi had the full time job of being attractive, but that was just to pay the bills. Violence was his passion. He would eye the bludger and as it wizzed near him with the flick of his wrist he would swung his bat in what appeared to be a casual motion. The aim was a bit off, this was not his broom and he had this woman driver (a terrible thing, just ask Arjan). The bat would connect with the lead ball with a resounding, bone-shuddering crack. Eve needed to be stopped, put down before she grabbed hold of the snitch.

Scarlett would fly after Evelynn, did Alan really have to throw her so hard? She was there to defend Evelynn, perhaps if she was fortunate enough a bludger intended for Eve would find its way in Arjan's ridiculously pretty face. Yes, Gryffindor is the only team full of hotties.

So when she had her chance to intercede, she did so. She would rush into the bludger's path and attempt to swat the lead ball away. The bludger would hit her bat and bounce uselessly away. That was close, had it hit her, she would have fell. It was pure adrenaline that was keeping her going, her consciousness was only maintained by shear determination and stubbornness.



Ana was prepared to save Evelynn, she probably would not have saved Scarlett twice.

Viola Tempete needed to put an end to Evelynn. It was not that she had anything against the girl in particular. Quidditch was a respectable sport. No, she needed to end Eve because the girl was a threat.

Viola would go for Evelynn. Scarlett was doing to do it again, a reckless attempt to block the attack and change the tide of match. Eve still had someone to protect her. She had somebody else to take the blow. She did not have to do this on her own. Scarlett would not be so lucky a second time, she would be hit hard by the attack. (Damage does not matter, she has 1 health) Scarlett's world would turn black and she would lose grip of her broom.



@Anastasia Beckett would nosedive towards the grassy field and scoop the blacked out girl up before she hit the floor. (Dear Lord) Moments later Anastasia would awaken to see she was back on the rear of her enemy's broom once more.



Arjan was a glorious sight to behold but he as incredibly distracting and he was taking up valuable headliner space in the school paper. He needed to go down do that the other Quidditch Players had their chance in the limelight. Well, that and he hit really-really hard! Milo was going to perform a public service.

Arjan was sharing a broom with Nikita, a two-for-one special one could say. Milo would hit the bludger with the side of his bat hard and attempt to disable the duo, effectively cripping the team and taking from them their strongest beater. They would be keenly aware of their shared risk and suddenly drop in altitude, the bludger would sail over their head.



@Lea Hirsch -- Katherine Felix was simply on save duty but their team was unmolested in this most recent round. That was fine of course, they could fly under the radar and chip away at the other team's front lines. They were still strong, they were just here for the long game.

This was crunch time. After safely guiding Miss Sue back to her broom, Piérre was fluttering about the field like a little red and gold hummingbird in anxiety. He watched the Alley-Oop between Alan and Eevee, and a memory was surfaced of Evelynn and Charlie doing the same to him at the doomed blossom ball during his first year. He was well-aware of the bone-shattering momentum which came from it, but he also knew the same momentum came in handy when trying to catch that little gold ball, wherever it may be.

Evelynn whistled by and Piérre didn't know at first if she had caught it, or if the pale albino boy had nipped it. But, the game hadn't been called, so the Keeper had to assume that they hadn't. The game was still afoot.

With a smile and a not to Alan and Rafael, fresh from a penalty lap, Piérre took up his next position, ready to finish this game in their favor once and for all.

Like a horse out of the gate, blindered and bridled, Evelynn hunched and sped forward. With every climb of her velocity, the air seemed to coalesce around her, invisible tendrils grasping and pushing, detaining her from making progress towards that which she most desperately wanted in that moment. Gold flitted in and out of sight. It was hard enough to track that blasted little ball in the best conditions at the best of times. Now, with the added bodies and chaos of this battle royale, keeping her sights on the snitch was an absolute nightmare. Half the time, Evelynn had to take a stab at where she suspected it might have been, praying silently to her God to let her close her fingers around cool metal before anyone else on her team met an untimely end.

A growing whistling nearby made her duck and roll to reflexively avoid what she suspected was an incoming bludger. How could it not be. Her flying was significantly more pointed now, the trajectory of her flight purposeful and racing. She wasn't playing the long con of trying to catch up on the snitch without drawing suspicion. No, her barrelling pursuit was one of earnest haste. There was no doubt it would draw the eyes of crowd and opponent alike, drawing upon her back a prominent target with the hopes that they could fell her before she could complete her mission. No shadow of a bludger would sail overhead, however.

Instead, a loud CRACK sounded nearby. Almost startled, Evelynn spared the most fleeting glance to see what had happened and caught the silhouette of a golden '17' on a field of crimson. A tingle of warmth coursed from core to tips of fingers and toes at the realization that Scarlett had intervened on the attack, batting the bludger harmlessly aside at great possible risk to herself. In truth, it was the first time—whether by opportunity or desire—that someone had defended Evelynn in such a manner. Heart-warming, it bolstered Evelynn's confidence and her resolve knowing that her teammates—or at least Aden—had faith in her.

"You have my thanks, Aden!" The wind ripped the words from Evelynn's lips the moment they'd been spoken, the trail of appreciation no doubt fading with every bit of distance she put between herself and her saviour. But hopefully the sentiments would be understood nonetheless.

"Vanes!" Came a shout a moment later as opportunity presented itself. Ideally situated, he could potentially pose a great help to boost Evelynn's speed and help her close in on her quarry. "Snitch!" There was hardly time to elaborate as she sped towards him. Hopefully, the lift of a finger to point in the direction she needed to go would be sufficient for him to understand, along with the quick, "Toss me!"

In but a moment, hands clasped, and Evelynn had to brace herself. Leaning flat and in towards the center, she was grateful in that moment for the few years she'd done ballet and the learned ability to mitigate the disorientation and nausea that came with the rapid orbiting. One. Two. Three. By the time she was released, fingers clawed for purchase on the polished shaft of her broom, fighting against air resistance to stay astride. She rocketed towards the snitch, the dancing golden orb firmly locked within her vision. But she wasn't the only one. A streak of red with a crown of silver blurred into her peripheral. Her heart thrummed, hand reaching, reaching...

She missed the damned snitch by a foot, and held her breath while she hurried to curve back around, praying that the Niffler hadn't managed to swipe it in the trail of her failure. She might have been the closer of the two, but the boy was good. Better than she might have thought. No announcement sounded to end the game. It was still on, and her pride was on the line.

Nikita smirked in response to Arjans remark, keeping an eye on the field. Things were getting real, here. "Sure, but I don't think you are in any place to flex when I just saved your butt, sir." She patted the broom. She looked in the direction of the bludgers. "Arjan, hit tha-" She said hurriedly, but he was one step ahead of her. She watched it sour, but her heart dropped when someone saved the seeker. She shook her head. "Come on!" She pursed her lips, dissapointed. They were in last place at the moment. Distracted, a bludger came their way, and she noticed just in time to drop her broom down. "Holy~" She liked around wildly, and saw the culprit. "Nice aim, bitch!" She yelled.

Back into the fray. Madhup had blatched down a Gryffindor beater in the first round, spent the second on a penalty lap, and now was back with a vengeance. His keen eyes constantly cut across the field in search of their Seeker, waiting for the telltale sign the Snitch had been spotted. And there he was: diving neck and neck with the opponent, chasing a fateful glint of gold. Madhup hissed something beneath his breath before flying full-bar towards the two. He would sweep up alongside the Niffler, hollering over the scream of wind in their ears, "A boost, Valentin?!" A calloused hand was thrust out, palm up. It closed firm on pale fingers, then he leaned into the Silver Arrow, all of his will and weight channeled into an Alley-Oop. With a grunt and twist he sent the Seeker whipping forth, though to no avail. Madup snapped his fingers and grimaced, swooping up from the dive, cupping his mouth to urge Schnell on with a bellowed "GO, GO, GO!"

Wixes United continued to catch up and Haley became more and more nervous. The nervousness only led to her bobbing her leg up and down even more wildly, continuing to watch the game intently and shouting "GO LIONS!" over and over again. By now her throat was cracking and she was very hopeful that if they caught up any further, Evelynn would be able to catch the Snitch in time and they would still win.

But Haley knew her team, she knew they could do it and she believed in the ability of all the lions in the air. They got this, for sure.
