Two days ago, a lot happened with Aldor and she was still confused with herself. This is not a time to think about anything other than food, nothing is more important to her than food and she has to focus on it now. Enjoy the moment she thought to herself but is there to have fun. Fun? argh! that word is irritating her to the level that it could make her feel dizzy. stop it! What’s over is over! Let’s focus on now with her eyes dreamily looking at her plate which had a toast and a marmalade.

Vivian is early to have breakfast just like any other day but she decided to sit alone which is quite new, she usually liked to get seated in a place surrounded by many people even if they didn’t talk to her. Her hair had been tied into two plaits and she was wearing the school robes. Until Scarlet, her new friend and her teammate in the water fight reached her, her eyes were only fixed on her plate. “Hi Scarlet, how was your day.”, she forced a smile. The blonde definitely didn’t expect Scarlet would sit with her but it felt good to have someone beside her now.

“Nothing special” she pouted, she didn’t know if she was ready to share anything about what she’s feeling with her new friend. Maybe she needs more time and she felt she necessarily doesn’t have to share everything before she gets to know that person. Taking another bite of her toast, she listened to Scarlet with a little tilt every now and then. Slowly a smile spread across her lips, this time it was not forced. “Are you sure?” she whispered back. The blonde always wanted to know what was inside there and to know why the forbidden Forrest is forbidden but she hasn’t asked about it to anyone.

“I am ready! But curfew?...” she shrugged her shoulders, what if they get caught? That’s horrible but her curiosity had control over her, she assured herself that they wouldn’t get caught. “We should be so careful” she whispered, widening her eyes. At least now she’ll get to know what’s there and she didn’t want to dodge this amazing opportunity. “Where should we meet?”, that was an important question, if they didn’t know the place to meet, they would get lost when searching for each other or in a worst case scenario, they would get caught which leads to detention.

The first few days of Alice's Hogwarts experience were not nearly as exciting as she had hoped. It was all just boring classes, and she hadn't even run into any interesting people! But that hadn't put much of a damper on her mood. She was convinced she was going to do something really interesting within the first few months of the school year, start her Hogwarts career off with a bang, so to speak.

Currently, Alice was making her way past the Hufflepuff table, still as excited about everything as ever, when she heard a someone, who looked like they didn't quite belong to Hufflepuff, mention the forbidden forest. She stopped in her track for a moment, shamelessly eavesdropping on the older students' conversation. This sounded like the type of exciting thing that was right up her alley. "I mean, if she doesn't want to do it I'll go," she said, smiling over at the two. "I want to explore every inch of Hogwarts and it sounds like fun. Sorry for eavesdropping by the way, I just heard 'Forbidden Forest' and it caught my attention. I'm Alice Grimmshaw, by the way. I'm a Gryffindor!" She sad that last bit proudly, because she had a lot of pride in her house.

Scarlet could tell Vivian didn't feel one hundred percent, Scarlet herself had put on a similar fake smile on several occasions in the past, but she was glad that the thought of a midnight adventure cheered her up.

Scarlet nodded her head excitedly when Vivian checked if she was sure about the idea, she definitely was, the idea had been stuck in her mind for days now, there was no ounce of doubt left in her. When she thought about it, although she knew they'd be breaking curfew, she hadn't properly thought about how they could reduce the chances of them being caught, "well, no lights... and we move quick, I think the further we get from the castle itself, the less professors and prefects," she suggested, unsure of how easy it would all be, but that was part of the excitement.

"Where should we meet?" Vivian said next, something else Scarlet hadn't decided on, but before she could discuss some options a new, unfamiliar voice jumped in.

"I mean, if she doesn't want to do it I'll go," Scarlet turned in her seat to face a tall girl with short brown hair and glasses, but she looked younger than herself and Scarlet hadn't seen her around school before, a first year she thought. Scarlet couldn't stop the wide grin from forming on her face, the girl had said less than ten words and Scarlet already loved her, the way she had, a first year too, jumped on the idea that breaks curfew.

"Nice to meet you Alice, and I think you'd be a great addition," Scarlet said after the girl had finished making her case, "what do you think Viv?" she said turning back to her friend at the table, "oh and I think considering we're all in different houses, it's best to meet just outside the front doors of the castle, less chance of being caught if we're not all running to meet outside each other's common rooms." She looked between the two, it felt like it was all coming together, and they could pull it off, "so have either of you done anything like this before?"

Hearing Scarlet’s plan, Viv felt it was a easy task. No lights mean they can’t see properly too, it’s a disadvantage not only for the prefects and Professors but also for the girls. But when they move quickly, it might be easy and she should just scan the place wherever she walks today as it would help her at this night. At least she could memorise where and in which direction she should move even if nothing is visible other than darkness. “How will we be able to move when there is no light?” she shrugged and continued, “I think we should remember how to move from our common rooms, that would work hopefully” she smiled assuringly at her friend.

“When did I say I didn’t want to?!” as she twisted to look at the direction of the voice with a quick movement. Her eyes widened, “Were we talking so loud?” she whispered to Scarlet. What use it is to whisper now? Already a person heard it and she looked friendly so there’s no problem for them... yet. Smiling at the girl, “It’s alright, now as you heard us, you’re very much welcome to join us and I am Vivian and she’s Scarlet” and tapped the seat beside her, gesturing Alice to sit with them.

“Okay, now let’s talk a little less loud” she whispered again. The blonde again nodded her head when Scarlet discussed the plan with her eyes on her empty plate. “Mmm, no, this is my first time but I believe we wouldn’t get caught” she smiled glancing at both of them.

At the invitation, she sat down at the table. "No, you weren't talking that loud, I just happened to be in the right place at the right time to hear you," she explained with a gap-toothed grin.

"It's very nice to meet you both though! Also, you'd be surprised how well your eyes can adjust to the dark, especially if there's enough of a moon out to see! I like to sneak out into the gardens at night back home, because they're pretty at night and its also fun to sneak out places, you know? I've never strayed very far from the gardens because we're kind of remote and I don't really know what's out there beyond the bit of woods within the fence, you know? My uncle used to tell me there were all sorts of scary ghouls out there and I'm always up for a challenge but I don't want to get eaten, but once I learn enough magic I'm definitely going to actually explore the forbidden forest one day, because how can I not explore something that's literally called the forbidden forest?" She took a deep breath after talking, because she had rambled all of that out in a single breath. The girl hadn't quite mastered the art of taking a pause in between sentences quite yet.

Vivian made a good point, they didn't want to risk being heard by someone that wouldn't be so supportive of the whole idea, but they needed to make sure that everyone knew what they were doing, she didn't want either of the two girls to be left out just because they all messed up the meeting place. Now that they were all sat down though, Scarlet felt more confident that no-one else passing by would hear the details of their conversation as she talked in a more hushed tone.

"Okay, didn't think about the moonlight, that would be a massive help in guiding us through the grounds," she said smiling at the girls, the more they spoke about it, the more possible it all seemed. "Hopefully we won't have any ghouls to deal with tonight though," she said, laughing at the thought of the three of them bumping into something like that in the grounds, at least she hoped their wasn't anything even similar to that out there.

Making note of the time, and the fact that still needed to go get her school books from her common room in the dungeons before making her way all the way to the greenhouse for her class at nine, she decided to run through a complete plan with the girls. "So, I suggest we meet up at midnight, nice memorable time," she said, being aware that she could easily be the one to mess up times, "hopefully by then the prefects will have gone back to their dorms too, I mean they have to sleep sometime right?" Scarlet knew that prefects had a later curfew and that they roamed the corridors at night, but surely they couldn't do it all the time.

"There's a massive bush to the left when you enter the grounds from the Entrance Hall, lets meet behind that," she continued, "try not to cast Lumos in the castle. Viv, you should be fine finding your way right? Alice, I'd say just make sure you're sure of the route before then, I think it's straight down from Gryffindor tower though." With her and Vivian being second years she hoped the pair would make it out of the castle with ease, hopefully there had been enough time for Alice to familiarise herself with the castle.

"Once we're outside we can take it from there, depending on what we have to deal with, should be a fairly easy walk to the edge of the forest though," she said, "I mean, like Vivian said, I doubt we'll be caught," she added, clarifying her confidence. She took a long pause, thinking if there was anything else important she had neglected to address, "don't tell anyone else, obvious I guess," she said, thinking out loud, "and wear something warm," she added with a smile.

Assuming the two girls were happy with the plan, Scarlet would start to get up from the table, "I think this is going to be great!! she said, unable to hide the excitement from her voice and facial expression, "shame I still have to get through a pile of homework before then. See you both later!" Scarlet turned towards the exit of the great hall, she may be on her way to the library to make a dent in the work, but her mind was focussed firmly on the upcoming events of the night. "Warm clothes!" she called back to the girls, she was still close enough that maybe only a few people around them heard her, but she knew they would have no idea what she was talking about.

“Wow” Vivian murmured with a chuckle when Alice finished her speech in a single breath. When seeing people who talk continuously, she would automatically think of her best friend Samantha and wonders how people talks without a pause. That’s admirable and also amusing, at least to the blonde. With a little tilt of the head and her eyes narrowed, “I didn’t think about the moonlight too, is it so bright?” of course she have seen it and loved its presence but couldn’t remember if it is so bright and could lead them in the dark. What if anyone could notice them? What if they get caught? No! They won’t get caught! At least she hopes they wouldn’t. The plan was pretty good, and today is the day to understand why the forbidden Forrest is forbidden. Ghouls?! But she doesn't ’t believe that those exists but Hogwarts is unpredictable, anything can happen here. Nothing bad had happened to her and hopefully, nothing bad would happen after this.

“Of course they need sleep and I think they would go back to their dorm by midnight, so that’s the right time for us...” unless she sleeps unawarely in tiredness, but for sure she wouldn’t. At least for this very single day, she’ll have control over her sleep. The blonde nodded in an assuring manner in response when Scarlet suggested meeting near the massive bush. “Yes, I’ll be there on time?-” arriving on time was always tough, except for classes but no, today she will. Definitely, she didn’t want the girls to get caught because of her. Not to tell others! That was easy but also hard if it involved her best friend, but until she notices her friend this day, their secret is safe. Grinning in return, “Yes, I am so excited! But we should be so careful to not get caught” as she stood up from the bench when Scarlet did. “I have to finish up my homework! Bye” picking up her bucket bag, “Okayyy!” she giggled and her voice being a little louder. After checking her bag to know if she had everything required for class, she left the place with a bright smile but also trying hard to hide the enthusiasm not wanting anyone to notice it.

Alice nodded when Vivian questioned the power of moonlight. "Especially when you're out in the countryside like Hogwarts is, the moonlight really is that bright. I used to use it to see all the time back home." she reassured. She was also fairly decent at adjusting her eyes to the dark because of the amount of time she had spent exploring with nothing but the light of the moon and stars to guide her. "Midnight sounds good!" she agreed enthusiastically. She loved the sunlight, don't get her wrong, and there was so much fun to be had during the day, but the night was the best time of day for impromptu clandestine adventures, so it was definetely her favorite time to be out and about. Less adults milling about to tell you what to do and where to go and how to behave.

She groaned when Scarlet mentioned that they still had an entire day of classes to get through before they could go on their excursion. "Ughhh. Homework is so boriing. Its just more schoolwork on top of all the schoolwork we do during classes! It's so stupid." she complained, but she too started gathering her things to leave. "I'll see you later, though." And off she went, to do whatever it is that Alice does when not being narrated. Probably something mischevious.
