The train ride
Clair looked at her mother, she would not see her for the rest of the year, it was her first year at Hogwarts. Her sister Izzy was in her fourth year and was not helping Clair with her nerves, Clair looked at her mother "what if I don't make friends? Or no one sits with me on the train?" Her mother ran a hand down Clair's long hair "you will be fine Hunny now go!"
Clair sighed and climbed aboard, she found an empty place to sit and hoped someone would sit with her, she started to hum her fav song and eat chips which she had brought. her trunk was heavy and old, Izzy's old one. And her robes were old too, she had taken all the books she could bring, she had also brought her wand, Mittens, shoes, spare robes and loads of other stuff. She looked out the window, people were still boarding the train, when would they leave?
had she brought her blanket? Did she forget her boots? What about some money? Or her scales?
Her mind raced, her nerves high, what would she mess up? How would she get into trouble? Misty was always telling her off for something or rather. She sighed the train had still not moved, she was getting bored.

The train ride
Susan arrived at Platform 9 3/4 with her mother, father and brother. It was her first year at Hogwarts and she was excited. She couldn’t wait to make new friends. As she went through the platform and saw the giant train her eyes grew wide. “Whoa!” She exclaimed as she watched her brother get on and leave her behind. She gave her parents hugs and kisses before following her brother onto the train. Taking her trunk with her she drags it to a compartment that only had a girl in it.
“Mind if I join you?” she asks as she entered the compartment and put her trunk up. “Hi. My name is Susan Markington. My brother is Jack Blair. He’s a Slytherin. I think he’s a second year.” Susan said as she introduced herself with a smile. She looked out the window and waved to her parents happily. Watching as they waved back she relaxed a bit. “I’ll write and let you know what house I get into. Love you both! Bye mum! Bye pa!” Susan shouts to them as she closes the window.
She sat down across from the other female and wondered if she was shy or new to the school as well.

Clair saw the girl walk up hoping she would join, when she can I Clair felt like dancing! "it's fine to sit with me I mean, like Its great!"
She looked at the girl, "what house are you in? It's my first year so I don't know what house I'll be in. I really hope I get Ravenclaw, it's the best house." She hoped this girl was chatty and not shy.by the looks of her she was most likely a first year as well, "do you want some Chips? I have tons along with some chocolate frogs and a lot of books if you wanna read, help yourself!" she looked around the compartment, it was red, with Green, Yellow and Blue stripes at the top, the train started to move and Clair sighed "finally! After SO long!" She hoped the train ride would not be boring, with the new girl and all, "my name is Clair Fernandez by the way, Sorry I forgot to tell you!" She wondered what Hogwarts would look like? Would it be big? Or HUGE? Would the teachers be nice? Or mean? What a out the other students? And oh! What if she forgot the password or riddle to get in her house's common room? She shook her head try to stop worrying

The train ride
"I heard the castle is huge. The staircases move every so often too. Nice to meet you, Clair." Susan said as she smiled and took a chip from the bag. She then pulled out a metal tin and revealed her treats that she brought with her. She had four more tins in her trunk filled with the same thing. If Clair were to look inside the opened tin she would see various Scottish and Irish desserts. "I made these myself. Do you want some? Be careful though, I think my brother slipped peanuts into the Scottish tablet on a few of the bars." Susan said as she offered the treats to the other girl.
"I hope I get Slytherin so I can be with my brother. If not then I hope I can continue on with my mother's house of Gryffindor." she replied as she heard that Clair wanted to be a Ravenclaw. "I've never actually seen a chocolate frog. What does it look like?" she asked as she wondered what was so special about it. Her brother had collected a bunch of funny cards and she always wondered how he had gotten them. She wondered if she would be able to keep the card that came with the chocolate frog and who the famous person was going to be was a mystery to her.

She smiled "sure!" She popped a candy in her mouth, "yummy!" After chewing for a while she said "yeah I was told that the Castle is huge and pretty Too!" She pulled out a chocolate frog "this is a chocolate frog I got mine at a store in Diagon ally, they are really yummy here try it!" She gave the other girl a chocolate frog "they are awesome!" She looked out the window, they were going over some water, she loved water, it was a reminder of Home, the home she did miss only a tiny bit thou, she smiled a little, "are you from England? I love England! I was born in Canada, so I'm somewhat Canadian too, I guess." She popped another chocolate frog in her mouth, "what's your favorite book? Mine is, hmm... I think most likely a muggle book called 'Percy Jackson' its rather good, thou I like Wizarding books better!" She thought for a moment, "or the Muggle book called Arcane, it's really good." She reached into her trunk, and pulled out a small book, "here this is a note book, but it's really cool, so it works like a muggle phone, BUT! In Hogwarts! All you have to do is write on it and say the Banishing Spell, with your wand to the paper, and BAM! It's sent to me! And I can do the same! But it won't show on the other persons paper until they say revelio! Then it shows up! And if anyone else opens it then it will insult them!" She smiled "Izzy made it for me!"
