Along the subject of your Wampus core, Noah, maybe that is where the word catawampus comes from. The word means askew or offset. Although some do not consider it a real word, it was first used in the early 19th century.

Thats possible- but to be honest, where we live, I've never heard of a Wampus

It's more of an American term. That's probably why.

Although- I've heard different names for it. Mountain Lion. Puma. Cougar.
