Milo looked around, immediately realising that this was utter chaos in this match. Within the first round, somebody was out, there was a foul, so much was going on. A lot normally happened in quidditch matches, but this was utter chaos.

Turning and whacking the bludger coming towards him, he aimed it at some random person from another team, he wasn't sure who it was. But it hit nicely, so he wasn't bothered.

At the end of the first turn, Valentin spun back around towards his team and his smile grew radiant, warm. He hadn’t been happy a single day of the last year, but now the colors of the world beamed back into his eyes. His team was alongside him, fighting to win, each member unique. Valentin loved this many-headed hydra, feeling that each team mate was a part of him. Despite the numbness he had gotten accustomed to in the last year, the frozen wasteland finally thawed as if spring had come.

Passing behind Slava, Niffler sped up to bump him lightly on the shoulder, avoiding any obvious wounds. «Мой герой.» (“My hero.”)

Spinning back around towards Arjan, Niffler approached fast from the front and clapped him on the shoulder. As the white seeker shouted back behind him, the smile in his voice was clear “Glad you on our side.”

Next on Valentin’s route, the niffler found Nikita and shot a smile at his fellow Durmstrang team mate. Another Durmstrang ally, Charles, would get a visit from Valentin shooting up from below. The pretty boy might see Valentin’s eyes smiling as the pale seeker said in a silver-smooth tone, “No distraction.” With a wink, Valentin would spiral off into the sky again; it was clear he was not disappointed in Charles but just wanted him to not let past mistakes distract him from what he needed to do next.

Skirting along the benched players, Melody, Enrique, and Remmington, Valentin raised a salute.

Gregori had served the team well, sacrificing time at the hoops in order to protect any fallen Hydra heroes. Valentin flew past with a smile and a nod, grateful for the help Gregori had provided for team security.

Finally, Niffler flew up alongside Madhup and jostled him lightly, bumping his shoulder against the tiger prince. “How they accuse you! Hah!” laughed the white niffler. “Now let’s win.”

Climbing back up to a high elevation, Valentin slowly spiralled around the stands to greet the fans. He made an assortment of funny faces and other gestures showing his determination before pulling back into the pitch center for the next round.

Slava had a laser focus on his seeker, Niffler. He was the one who could take 150 points for the team in one move, so he had to stay in the game. The curly haired boy watched carefully for any incoming bludgers. Sure enough, there were two on the way. He managed to make sure Niffler was out of the way of one of them, diving out of the way himself a mere second before it would have hit. A small smile danced on his lips. You’re going to have to try harder than that, he mentally taunted the girl who had hit the bludger their way.

In a cruel twist of fate, he would soon be hit by one himself. There was a bludger coming straight for Niffler and it would be unavoidable, so he dove in the way of it, getting hit in the back and temporarily being thrown off course, regaining control of himself halfway to the ground. He gripped on tighter and shot back up to the other players, his resolve hardening. He looked up just in time to see Arjan’s great hit and his flex. He snickered to himself. Typical Arjan. He would never miss a chance to flaunt his skill and strength to his admirers.

Soon after, Niffler passed by and gave Slava a gentle bump with the comment “my hero”. Slava grinned brightly and winked in response. «Все, что угодно для вас,» (“Anything for you,”) he responded teasingly. He then refocused himself, ready for whatever was to come.

The three seekers would scan the pitch. The glint of the golden snitch was near imperceivable, The Niffler and Evelynn Decipito would strain and they both would simultaneously see a faint golden flicker across the verdant pitch. Through the chaos of the pitch on the far end, it would bob and dart about, they would not be able to look away for fear of losing the snitch. Anastasia Prokovdine would not see what the other two had but as they moved in the direction of the snitch perhaps she would know where to direct her gaze (no worries that stacking +1 to your find will get you there soon as well) to the gilded prize the three of them sought.

Lucietta would snatch the quaffle and dart away at full speed. An early lead, she would rush away from Alan Vanes and dart towards the Hydra set of rings. Their Keeper was not guarding the rings so it was an easy score for the young Wix.

The announcer would cry, the crowd would cheer Lucietta's name as she circled back around towards the center of the pitch.

Alan Vanes might have lost that first ten points to the Wixes but it would not happen twice. He would grip the quaffle in his free hand and lean into his broom and rush towards the Wixes' rings.

There was something eerie about this pitch. Perhaps it was just the inherent danger of being on the pitch with bludgers being bashed about. Perhaps it was the aggressive foreign students that were trying to kill knock the Hogwarts quaffle player to the ground. No, there were a few students that just seemed 'wrong' and they were distracting. Alan, temporarily off his game would wiff the score attempt and fumble the quaffle.

A failure yes, but he would try yet again.

This was an odd sight. One where Alan got that same funny feeling -- that there was something wrong. The quaffle would fall out of his hands but somehow bounce off his broom in an unlikely moment of fortune. The quaffle would bounce off his broomstick and hurdle towards the rings. However Luka, the great defender was there. The quaffle would hit his chest with a thud, a glance downward and he would swat the quaffle away. There was someone that would make better use of this, Lucietta.

Rafael would attempt to intercept the quaffle. The athlete would risk his lovely body, something that most of the crowd would rightfully mourn, for the sake of victory like an absolute madman. The quaffle would brush across his fingertips and roll behind him into Lucietta's waiting hands. She would not wait for Rafael's vengeance as she darted away. She would head straight for the unguarded rings of Gryffindor and lob the quaffle through the rings.

"Another 10 points for Wixes!"

The announcer proclaimed. In a rollercoaster of events that would be two goals for this round for the Wixes. They may be playing the quaffle game but some of the teams were playing for blood.

Pretty boy versus pretty boy. Rafa would make eye contact with the beautiful Arjan Oberoi. The wind caresses his silky hair and the dimples in his cheeks looked a little extra deep. There was only space for one Quidditch sex symbol! He would ram into the foreign hotty and knock him off his broom.

"Foul for D'Spacito!" The announcer shouted, some cheered and others jeered at the dirty play. He would be taking a lap around the pitch but if it meant he was the only pretty one, it would be well-worth it.

Kage would eye the quaffle and with a resounding crack of his bat launch the hard leaden sphere at Slava. Slava would perform some mid-air acrobatics and the bludger would sail over the Hydra's shoulder and the quidditch player would spin about. It was a close call, a hit would have been devastating.

The S.S. Analett was destined to sink. While it might have been the expectation that one would yeet the other off the shared broom, teamwork makes the dream work. They would attempt to recover their broom. The faster they seperated the better.

Charles would miss and he came at them like a human cannon-ball. The girls would shoot suddenly skyward and Charles would miss the miraculously lucky pair. @Pericles Dralt - Madhup Hexum would look on at the carnage as he rounded the perimeter of the pitch. A loss for Charles, the attempt did not pan out as he would expect or want.

Yes, that was really his name. Well, his surname. His mother had more sense with the given name at the very least. His chance to tangle with the pair of pretty girls would be lost to him.

It should not be a surprise that Arjan was strong, look at those biceps. The bludger would fly within batting range of the Beater and with a swat of his bat he launched the bludger at the young Gryffindor. He would try to escape but the bludger would hit him in the side. He might have heard his ribs crack.

@Piérre Marchonné might have been neglecting his rings but he was on lifeguard duty, his priority was Evelynn. It was obvious that she would be targeted and that proved true as Cassie took aim. However Eve did not need the boy to be her knight in shining armor, to catch her when she fell. Evelynn was better than fine, she had her eye on the prize.

Kage Suzuki however was falling. Eve being absolutely fine, the Keeper would rush to his teammates aide for a daring and potentially dramatic rescue. The boy would hit the back of the Quidditch player's broom, a bit rattled by Arjan's merciless blow but still in the game for what that was worth.

@Paige Grant - Nikita Lebedev and @Ginerva Tsuchiya - Gregorí Erkens were both on save duty, the Hydras were playing a 'safe' game it would seem. while the great Niffler might have been their priority the boy as pure white as the freshly fallen snow was untouched, unassailed and unharmed. He had not only been free of any potential targeting but also he had seen the snitch and was flying in hot pursuit.

The two of them would dive to the boy's rescue but Nikita was a bit faster and would have the honor of having Arjan's hot botty on her broom. If @Levi Drakos, her definite boyfriend, was not jealous before then now he would be beside himself.

Ginevra/Gregori would take a brief, mournful loop around the duo, if nothing else she would not have to worry about Arjan's hotness slowing hi down.

@Lea Hirsch -- Katherine Felix was simply on save duty but their team was unmolested in this most recent round. That was fine of course, they could fly under the radar and chip away at the other team's front lines. They were still strong, they were just here for the long game.

@Delilah Stewart -- Milo Durand [Milo/Delilah] was flying alongside Anastasia/Violet, preparing for the next flurry of assaults.

A good, dutiful, professional Quidditch player would be focusing on the game at hand, and not letting their emotions get in the way of doing their job. Alas, Scarlett was not a good, dutiful and professional Quidditch player. The mere action of riding on a broom with Anastasia made Scarlett's blood boil, her vision going red. She could barely breathe for fear she would do something very bad, and very stupid.

Scarlett edged her way backwards on the broom as to avoid touching Anastasia. Instead, she sat, gripping the small wedge of broomstick between herself and the other girl, trying not to look as uncomfortable as she felt. She felt incredibly tense, and found she could not concentrate on anything but how Anastasia evoked such anger in her.

Scarlett briefly took a break from her intense staring at Anastasia's hair to register Cassie yelling something at her. She dismissed it, because Scarlett had absolutely no mental space inside of her to bring attention to anything but her hatred of Beckett. "Yeah, because you're so professional yourself," sniped Scarlett. "If anyone is moronically existing here, it's you. And if you hadn't noticed, I can't exactly do my job when I'm stuck frolicking on a broom with you."

She huffed indignantly. It infuriated her to no ends that Scarlett was stuck doing nothing as Anastasia steered the broom. But just a moment later, she found that she was very lucky indeed that the one on the wheel - or the stick, whatever - was Beckett, when a human cannonball came hurtling at them. The human cannonball looked very similar to Charles Alluring, one that she tried to befriend for Cassie's sake but miserably failed to. Charles missed his blatch attempt and got a penalty. Scarlett couldn't resist taunting him.

"Got what you deserved you dirty cheater!" she heckled. "Enjoy your penalty, noob!"

Eventually, she hit the ground and practically leapt off the broom, scrambling to return to her own. She kicked off back into the sky with her middle finger pointed at Anastasia.

Keeping an eye on the game, Piérre was starting to think that being a Keeper just meant to keep an eye on the safety of everyone else instead of guarding hoops. Indeed, a little shadow was following Evelynn, a small blur of red cloak and pink hair. She seemed to be doing fine without him, as she usually did, but one could never be too careful.

Instead, it was the new, young Gryffindor beater that Piérre saw falter, slip, and then fall, having been struck by one of the bigger, buffer members of the Durmstrang team. Biting his bottom lip, Piérre corkscrewed away, performing a barrel roll after barrel roll to form a wind tunnel to make himself and Luciana more aerodynamic. There was a baited breath as he went faster and faster; he wasn't strong enough to grab anyone out of midair... He had to rely on his ability to get beneath them and let them drop onto the back of his broom.

“God help me, God help me, God help me, God_” He was close, and he was right there.

And just like that, Kage was on the back of the broom with the Britalian with the pink hair. Turning back for a moment, a telltale and signature smile would be flashed to the second year. “Hey Sue! Glad you could drop by!” Piérre was breathless as they turned back towards the sky.

Despite himself, he couldn't help but be a little singsong as he hummed to the Beater. “Sooooo! How's your first game goin'? Ya having fun?”

The game was going wild. But Haley found it hard to concentrate on the whole game, her mind was on so many other things and her eyes kept falling on her best friend who she had been lying on for weeks. Stop, stop, stop the redhead admonished herself and turned her gaze back to the game and saw the score, Wixes were up by 10 points.

Her leg was still nervously bobbing back and forth because of the game, because of her thoughts and her little secret. It was her luck that she was sitting on the bench and not up there with them on the pitch. But she would have to learn to switch off her thoughts, to concentrate on what was essential at the moment, and so she leaned forward and focused her gaze and her head on the game. It took a while for her voice to finally die down in her head, but after a few minutes it was barely noticeable and Wixes scored another 10 points.

They were now level with the Gryffindor team, "C'mon Lions, you got this!" Haley shouted, cheering her team on.

He would watch as the bludgers pinged against the side of beater's bats and hurdled with concussive force towards his allies as well as his opponents. It was a mistake coming here. It was a mistake thinking that his place was in the sky, a heavens he yearned for was in truth a bloody hellscape. He would look about himself nervously. At the others on the benches, they did not appear to share his sentiment. No, their eyes glinted with a hunger he lacked - a yearning want for the thrill, the rush. For the feeling of being alive that someone can only feel when their life is about to end.

They were all bloody mad.

Wringing hands with occupy his nervous habits as his mind sought distraction as a source of comfort. A pretty girl with murder in her eyes. An interesting bird soaring across the bitch as a bludger came whizzing-- Nope, not a place to find good distractions...

Enrique Antonio Vasquez-Perez was bored out of his damned mind. How was it that Hogwarts could make quidditch,the sport of the dang gods boring? Everyone was playing nice, sharing, catching one another. Was this some sort of bumbling kindergartener game of tag that ends with cookies and hugs? Well, it sure looked like it.

The only thing that was going well was the fact that the place was full of hot girls. Hell, he was as straight as they came but he hadda admit the schools had an astonishing number of boys that looked like mediocrely pretty girls. Well, the plain jane sorts that think they look hot without make-up with their hair in a tail and a hoodie. A note to all chicks out there -- no, you do not look hot. The hot ones look a'right. The rest of you... well, you're the ones I think about when I don't want to get too excited.

Since things were gong slow, it was not much of a game to watch Enrique Antonio Vasquez-Perez would have to gift the world with entertainment from the side-lines. The bench warmer would rip off his wife beater (for those that do not speak English primarily or are unfamiliar with slang this is a white, ribbed tank top and is not an out of character assertion of domestic violence or support for it but rather vernacular that fits this character) and hop on his bench and start flexing for his (yes, his) audience.

It was likely going to be a problem for all three of the teams, he was a distraction. The sort of guy men both hated and wanted to be, and all the girls wanted to be with. Now, the savior of the dull as dishwater game.
