Nicholas balked, Decipio had asked Salvatore to do what? Raw, unbridled panic shifted across his face, the expression pure and undiluted. Wild eyes shot over his shoulder and toward the girl who had just dared him to sing, then back to the redheaded quidditch captain, then back to the would-be shaver, then back to his upperclassmen. He opened his mouth as if to speak, before closing it, refusing to let the deluge of panicked words and would-be insults fly out. This was a game, he reasoned, she was acting in a way to one-up him, in much the same way the two of them had traded blows back in the Gryffindor common room. His eyes narrowed on the girl, fear giving way to a semi-snarl, before he once more returned his gaze to Salvatore.

"Fine," The word was curt, its sole syllable angry in its tone.

He was livid, embarrassed beyond belief and very aware of the fact that he had been placed firmly on the backfoot in the game so far. The boy stalked back to his beanbag, and took his shirt off as he did so, revealing the belly that was to be shaved. He wasn't particularly proud of his physique, nor was he embarrassed about it, the revelation of his torso was done entirely matter-of-factly in preparation for the dare that was to come. Still, physical exercise had provided him with a wiry physique, akin to a marathon runner more than it was to the more traditionally fit builds of many of the other sporty boys in the school.

He fell into his seat, a darkened look upon his face as he pondered how to best get revenge on Decipio. So much so that he almost didn't register the question posed by Rose, one of the other girls with whom he had played this game before. She had been brought into humiliating Nicholas at the time by Decipio, but this time her question was far more innocent, more traditional of the game.

"I'd get away from here," He muttered under his breath, audible only to those listening intently to whatever he may have whispered to himself.

Still, she was hardly the cause of his frustration, and he forced his look to be carefully neutral. He hardly wanted yet another person to suffer from an outburst of rage when they didn't deserve it. He forced a smile as he looked up and at the girl, nodding at her question to indicate that he had to ponder it. What would he do?

Fortunately, her asking him the question brought a reminder to his own mind. He too had a truth to ask, and this time it was directed toward Decipio, the girl who had challenged him.

He leant forward as he spoke, "Oh, Decipio." His tone was just as sing-song as hers had been "Looks like I got you."

He smirked, thinking back to her vivid reaction to the idea that she was even considering dating her co-captain, something hidden perhaps? The question he posed was simple, "If you had to date someone at this school, who would it be? Yes, you have to choose." He hoped to hope that she was as unversed in romantic escapades as he assumed she was.

Scarlet felt rather flustered for a few moments after completing her dare, not enough to stop her having a little giggle at the expense of Nicholas, whom she had just enjoyed watching perform a sea shanty to complete his dare from her. Jokingly, she directed an approving nod and smile after he had finished his performance, and he giving a grin back.

A few students had opted to leave the game, although Scarlet didn't feel anything asked so far, truth or dare, had been too extreme of a challenge. This meant however, that soon enough it was her turn to put forth a truth or dare, this time it was to be a dare for Elena Jangleton.

Scarlet looked towards the older student across from her, she had yet to see the girl carry out a dare, remembering that she had answered a truth in the last round. Scarlet did however feel the need to think of a more creative dare, she found the dare given by Elena for another girl to hold a conversation with a tree, to be one of her favourites so far.

"Hmmm... okay," Scarlet thought aloud, "I dare you to act like a fish that's been taken out of water for the next 30 seconds," she said, remembering the frantic and random movements of such fish along the ground, after the family cat would skilfully retrieve them from the pond, before she could toss them back in again. Now laying back a bit on her blanket, readying herself for the show, she looked forward to seeing Elena's take on the request.

As the game moved on, Theo started to relax. Although he was playing with mostly strangers, it was oddly little stressful, a lot less than the young thunderbird felt. A few more times he leaped like a frog whenever someone drank something- he was pretty sure that just like Haley did it with Evelynn, er Decipio before people were drinking more often on purpose but he didn't mind. It was them who would running to the toilet more often then. Besides, what was the point if he didn't get to carry out his task?

Anyway, he was done with tasks for now and instead asked for a truth. The boy had nothing to hide, so what harm could it possibly do? And then the question was one of those that were hard to answer and Theo regretted his choice after all. What would he do with three wishes? How could he get the most benefit from them? How could his family benefit from wishes? "That's tough... Well, I guess I'd wish my siblings or at least my sister was a witch so she could come to Ilvermorny too." Why was his heart racing? "Second- Worldpeace." Sounded silly but he meant it all serious. He had seen people, adults smile over claims such as this but why was it ridiculous? Theo didn't think that way at all.
"And third..."

Theo rarely ever overthought what he wanted to say as much as he did now. He had not initially thought of her, but when she suddenly popped up in his mind, he knew that she would take one wish. "... It would be nice to get back in contact with a girl I like." He smiled thinly, not willing to say more about that topic. Instead he turned to Haley, the girl he was supposed to dare. "Ok, so... I dare you to act as servant for her for the next thirty minutes. You bring her snacks, drinks and so on if she wants them." He was pointing at Scarlet, the girl she had forced to choose a prettiest person to hug. Theo would help Haley to make it up to the poor other girl for that.
I'm so late, sorry!
Theo is choosing truth again.

It wasn't long before Haley received her next assignment, this time from a boy with brown hair she didn't know and hadn't seen at Hogwarts. Haley followed his finger pointing at Scarlet, whom she herself had just recently given a Dare. Aha aha, so they were working together. "Fort he next thirty minutes?" Haley inquired in surprise, glancing again at Scarlet in the hope that she wouldn't be too demanding.

But those were the rules of the game, for the next half hour Haley would act as servant so she nodded curtly and stood up. She crossed her right arm behind her back and went to the drinks and snacks. She grabbed one of the plates and piled the food that was on it onto another plate. She took a drink, some snacks and filled the plate like a tray. Again she crossed one arm behind her back and balanced her makeshift tray on her other hand. She tried to keep her gaze forward, but kept looking at the tray in panic as it swayed back and forth. But luckily for her, she made it to the Scarlet without dropping anything.

Haley stood at her left side and cleared her throat, "Miss, can I get you something to drink or eat?" she inquired politely, leaning forward slightly to offer her something from the plate. As soon as Scarlet had taken or declined something, Haley would straighten up again, her arm folded further, the tray on her other hand and her eyes fixed on the round where the game continued.

Half an hour was a long time, but she, as a servant, did not have the right to sit down in her seat, at least not unless invited to do so. So she stayed there and decided to answer a question the next round, as she would need a break after this job. She could only hope that Scarlet wouldn't get any crazy ideas and start shooing Haley back and forth.

Goodness gracious McCowan was angry. There was no mistaking that look of absolute loathing that he'd shot her. For a mere moment, it was almost even enough to give Evelynn pause, hairs standing up on the back of her neck, muscles tensing in preparation to fight or flee depending on what was about to happen. She'd seen too many fists flying at her face from fellow lions to disregard the possibility of such a reaction. But to his credit, as distasteful as he obviously found her dare to be, he accepted. Through gritted teeth. Did he realize just how suited to the House of Lions he had just demonstrated himself to be? If that prideful refusal to back down from a challenge—even a passive one in this instance—hadn't been enough to curl Evelynn's lips into the shadow of another smirk, she might have felt badly for him. Perhaps she might tomorrow.

But even if he would still allow it to happen, the question remained as to whether Salvatore would go through with it. "Well?" Evelynn inquired, arching a brow at the other girl to await her answer.

The answer wouldn't come, however. Not quite yet, anyway. It seemed McCowan had serendipitously drawn Evelynn's name for this round. "Did you really?" It was her turn to balk now, her attention shifting fully back to him and realizing that she might be feeling badly a heck of a lot sooner than she might otherwise. An eye for an eye was how their little game-related rivalry seemed to go, progressively escalating with every round. But how would he counter? Her only shred of defence was that she had selected Truth this time.

What a meagre defence it was, however, as his line of speech broached on the lingering effects of her last dare. His articulation of the word 'like' elicited a frown from Evelynn, with the begrudging shout of, "MOZOR!" that followed. A shout that was hastily followed, wide-eyed with, "Do not take that for my answer!", as the boy's question registered in the wake of her obedience to Rose's previous dare.

Why thirty minutes... that felt like an eternity...

"If I had to pick someone?" Evelynn's own displeasure was clear enough upon her features as lips crumpled and brows furrowed. "I'm not even sure where I would begin. Or what it would even mean. What does that even mean, to date someone?.."

Rhetorical questions rolled from her tongue, poor bids for time as she tried to siphon through the various options... What a dreadful question. Maybe they weren't really all that rhetorical, after all. What did it mean to date someone...? Tolerate their presence for extended periods of time? Plan outings, just the pair? As she'd never felt any of the 'warm fuzzy heart skipping' feelings towards anyone before, she wasn't even really sure how to quantify a scale by which to pick.. But if she had to.. To select someone who intrigued her and whose presence she enjoyed, who challenged her intellectually and always had her back...

Her lips twitched again as someone (Theo) elsewhere spoke that dreaded four lettered word again. "HOLMWOOD!" came her half-hearted shout this time, irately enunciating each syllable. But as she spoke the name, it occurred to her that he might be the one who fit that category. Leaning against her palm, she dropped her attention to the nails of her opposite hand, running their lengths along the pad of her thumb as though to test their edges. "I suppose if I had to select someone who might be suitable to date," she began, her voice returning to its usual register, only this time with an atypical hollow aspect to her words, "it might be Holmwood."

Scarlet could think of a more true example of 'what goes around comes around,' even with trivial, and as she would describe, 'dares of little consequence.' She looked backed towards the girl who had just given her a dare, and then towards Nicholas, he didn't look too thrilled at the thought of having his chest shaved, in fact, his initial reaction seemed quite panic, his eyes darting between various students in the group.

Scarlet had just made him serenade someone as part of her dare to him, and now he was to be on the receiving end of her own dare, and in a far worse position than herself. 'No,' she thought to herself, that was her immediate response after seeing Nicholas's reaction, she wasn't about to make him feel uncomfortable just to be able to see through the dare. She was just about to broadcast her response to the rest of the group, and the dare giver, when Nicholas spoke up.

"Fine," he said abruptly, the anger clear in his tone. Scarlet watched as he returned to the beanbag he had been sat on, and laying down on his back, pulled up his shirt to reveal his stomach. Scarlet trailed after him, curious as to how he actually felt about the whole thing.

She spoke now in a quite voice, such that only Nicholas could properly hear, "the dare effects you more than me, you deserve a say," she began saying, his expression hadn't become any less serious, yet he still lay in wait for her to complete the dare. "If you change your mind last minute let me know," she said with a reassuring smile, "you've at least got until I get the razer."

With that, Scarlet ran off in the direction of the cabins, she had a shaving razer in her bag that she could use. The wooden cabin adorning the Kelpie flag was relatively quiet, those whio weren't taking part in truth or dare were likely doing something else in the sunshine. She went straight for her chest, into which she had unpacked her bag, and grabbed the razer. In no time at all, she was back with the group, ready to complete the dare.

"Well," the girl who had given Scarlet the dare was waiting expectedly for her to complete it, or see her unable to do it. Scarlet wiggled her hand holding the razer in the girl's direction before continuing on to where Nicholas was still waiting.

"I've had an idea," she said as she readied herself next to him. Slowly, and in one small movement, she moved the razer down from just to the left of his belly button to a point only a few centimetres below that. "There," Scarlet announced, looking back towards Evelynn, "I mean, if you were looking for anything specific, like say, how much, you should've included it in the dare," she said, a smile growing on Scarlet's face. In her eyes the dare was complete, she had shaven Nicholas's belly, a small part, but still. Looking back to Nicholas, she gave him one last smile before returning to the blanket she had been sitting on.

Nicholas shot a small smile toward Salvatore, her words greatly cooling down the torrent of hot emotion that ran through his body. More than anything he was embarrassed, he felt as if he was an animal being put up for auction, his body once more being used as little more than a product to be sold. Still, the kindness and reassurance that she had given meant a lot.

“Thanks,” He returned her whisper in kind, “Much appreciated.”

His words were corny, but they were earnest. And he found that he was far more soothed than even when he had realised he could immediately get revenge upon Decipio for such a dare. The wait itself was the worst part of the dare, he realised, the nerves of waiting for the other girl to return from her cabin with the razer. Nicholas was by no means hairy, at least excluding his head, he hadn’t yet sprouted a single chest hair. No, it wasn’t some masculine desire not to part with anything that may have adorned his torso that made him nervous, but the relative intimacy of the shaving. People didn’t touch his bare chest, and people sure as hell didn’t do it in front of a group of assembled students. The shaving added yet another layer to the discomfort that he felt.

Still, Salvatore returned in due time and it seemed that she had taken his side in the little conflict that had erupted between the two Gryffindors. A fact that was emphasised by her actual shaving. Nicholas recoiled visibly when the razor touched his skin, his muscles visibly tensing. Fortunately, the movement was short, and the razer glided over his skin without much fanfare or damage. She had shaved little more than a few centimetres below his belly button before stopping and shooting a retort to Decipio. The emotion that welled in Nicholas was confusing to name, it was relief in part, but also held a great deal of gratitude toward the Slytherin.

“Thanks,” He said the same word again, stupidly, then more quietly, “I owe you for that.”

The smile he provided to Salvatore was far different to the look of worry he had shot her earlier. He was relatively relaxed, now, and his posture visibly softened as he dragged the burgundy shirt back over his head. Besides, with his dare done with, there was now the enjoyable task of watching Decipio flounder in response to his truth. His eyes turned toward the redhead.

Said eyes opened wide when Decipio shouted the first name, the two syllables surprisingly loud as she had done so. Marshal? Wait, she would date Marshal? He was a good sort, a boy who Nicholas considered somewhat of a friend, but he had no idea that he and she were somehow involved. That was a perfectly solid piece of gossip, one that he could utilise in whatever game was to come next between the seeker and the soon to be second year. His mouth twisted into a smirk, only for her hasty shout to silence the smug aura that had begun to radiate off of him. He paused in confusion for a moment, before he remembered the last dare that she had been subject to. The flush of embarrassment that showed across his face was brief, before it was quelled by a conscious desire to hide it. He would pretend that he planned that, and would most certainly not let anyone know that he had been too entirely self-absorbed to even remember what other dares and truths had taken place among those he was not actively engaging with. Maybe he needed to focus more on others and less on petty revenge plots against the redheaded girl. Unlikely.

Especially given how flustered Decipio had become with the dare, rhetorical questions that even he could tell were blatant attempts to drive away from the question at hand fell off her tongue like water off of the back of a duck. The smile that had vanished returned, Nicholas felt a small victory was at hand, and when he got the name he could almost certainly use it against her. The boy may have been entirely oblivious to relationships, love and the concept of crushes, but he understood teasing, and he understood the ease in which he could spread that little kernel to the person in question once their name became known. The plan was devilish, and he was surprised by just how effective- Who the hell was Holmwood?

How was he supposed to use that? He didn’t know the boy. His mouth twitched slightly, annoyance mixing with a flabbergasted sense that he had just been bested. A sound of ‘tch’ left his teeth as he pressed them close together. He had flustered her for a bit, but it had hardly given him the resulting victory that he had liked for.

Pettiness guided his actions as he next spoke, “Well I won’t tell Holmwood you like him.” He made sure to enunciate the second last word, the rules once more present in his mind.

With his little game with Decipio now sorted for the moment, there was only the matter of his actually posed truth to answer. Rose had asked him what he would do if he was invisible, a question he had honestly never even considered. He supposed that in part, the power would allow him to get away with things he would not otherwise be able to escape punishment for. That was where the true appeal of being invisible lay, and that was where the question was leading him, what would he do if he knew he could get away with it? What forbidden place would he go?

“Well,” He started, leaning forward as he spoke, one of his hands scratching at his chin as he began to think aloud, “You’re asking what I wish I could get away with, right?”

He clicked his tongue, then answered, “I’m sure that the professors have exam answers written on parchment somewhere, right? Like in their offices?” He shot a sideways glance to Decipio.

“Wouldn’t mind not needing to study transfiguration,” It was his worst subject, the intricacies of the magic constantly seemed to escape his grasp, “I’d probably sneak into Wade’s office and ransack the place for answers.”

There was no hint of embarrassment as he spoke now, his demeanour having settled and a surprisingly calm aura radiated from him as he spoke so nonchalantly about cheating on an exam. He felt no shame in it, felt no need to hide from the fact that he didn’t particularly have any issue with abusing the system for his sole benefit.

“Aye, I’d steal an exam key.”

INTERACTIONS: @Scarlet Salvatore and @Opeila Winters(iNPC Thedore Duncain)
The three wishes she had posed to Thedore had seemed simple enough. He could wish for anything, literally anything but instead of opting for something wordly like glory, power or wealth which probably would have been the first option for some people, he went for something that was a bit more personal and that the brunette could respect. Something about his sibling and perhaps most notable, a girl he liked which certianly attracted her curosity but she decided not to push too much. Elena knew all too well what it felt like to have unwanted eyes poking into your personal affairs so if he didn't feel like sharing, she wouldn't pry. "Good answers, I can respect those." She replied giving him a small smile and an approving nod. He was definteyl careful about how he had picked his answers which in her books said a lot about him.

However, she didn't have long to linger on what else he might offer in response as the new assignments were rattled around and Elena found herself on the recieving end of a dare from another girl, not a familar face either. The Gryffindor just hoped that whatever antics she had in store for her, it didn't involve anything too crazy which in Elena's books, she probably should have taken that into account beforehand but it was too late to go back on her word now. She listened as the girl replied with her dare and to be fair, it would have been an entertaining one if she had been the one watching the errands play out. She herself had been quited amused at Haley's ordeal with the tree so maybe it was only fair that the cards were reversed this time. "Fish out of water, eh.." She mused thoughfully deciding how to go about this. Thirty seconds wasn't too long and as long there weren't too many eyes on her, she reckoned she could pull it off.

It was a rather grim dare if you asked her. A fish seperated from it's watery home was in essential a death sentence as it twitched about in little frantic movements to get back to the open seas so while Elena wouldn't ask how this specific dare had come to the other girl's mind, she certainly had her own thoughts about it. "Alright, consider it done. Time starting now." She finally admitted caving in clearing her throat. Her expression would contort and twist into something that looked like a distressed look while her arms and legs would perform little erratic movements and twitches similar to how a fish would flop around when removed from the water in an attempt to dive back in. The Gryffindor was mentally counting down the seconds in her head and she swore it had to be the longest thirty seconds that had ever passed as she put on the act of a struggling fish quite convincngly at least in her opinion before recovering glancing at the girl. "Good enough?"

The group was still buzzing with activity. There were an odd amount of Gryffindors in the area, perhaps their bravery was what helped them to stick around through the questions they were asked or the dares they were given. They were accompanied by someone from Ilvermorny.

Would they continue to give each other dares until someone gave up or was it enough for the day? Either way, this might be a good time to get a little bit of revenge if someone bothered you throughout the day or made you do something embarrassing!

INTERACTIONS @Nicholas McCowan, @Scarlet Salvatore────
MENTIONS Flash Holmwood
Had she gone a little far with that last dare? Perhaps. Evelynn wouldn't discount that she had pushed upon a few boundaries to test the waters. She was curious. Curious to see how McCowan would react, and more so to see just what sort of individual this Salvatore was. At first glance, the girl had seemed a bit chaotic, lacking in empathy to those with whom she'd interfaced to provide dares and truths. For anything to be taken as anything other than coincidental or circumstantial, however, it had to be repeatable.

So Evelynn sought to test that, and was immediately rewarded with hesitation. In fact, for a moment, denial to comply had been expected. But as McCowan had agreed, there seemed to be a change of heart. An overcast gaze would trail after her, watching as Salvatore crouched next to the supine boy and leaned to utter something quietly to him. A moment later, she stood and darted off, returning after a few minutes with the necessary razor. So they were going to go through with it. Very well.

And then... One swipe and she called it complete. Evelynn brows rose slightly, the shadow of a smirk tugging one side of her lips as the girl turned what could only be described as a defiant look upon the prefect. Evelynn chuckled. "Very good," she conceded with a brief incline of her chin. "As far as I am concerned, yes, you completed the dare as proscribed. I was expecting nothing more than that. Fret not...As I am sure McCowan can attest, if I had desired a specific outcome, the necessary wording would have been supplied."

"And tell him whatever you wish," Evelynn added, turning her attention to McCowan as he righted himself. "I'm quite certain Holmwood would understand exactly my reasoning and take neither offense nor particular interest in the information."

Half true? While she was sure he'd understand where she was coming for with her rationale for picking him as an answer, that would depend on him actually receiving the rationale. To simply hear that information out of context could be potentially problematic. In fact, the way she saw it, it could potentially harm her chances of him passing information on to her and inviting her to investigations if he thought she was growing attached to him in any way that was untowards or could result in him thinking she was a liability. She made a note to consider giving him a head's up to avoid any misinformation.

As for his answer to the question that was posed to him shortly thereafter, Evelynn tsked, pursing her lips. "Instead, you could always seek out assistance from your peers and upperclassmen, you know," she chided, looking less than supportive of his notion to steal test answers. "Transfiguration is as much practical knowledge as it is memorization. Those answers will do little for you when you're called to demonstrate your spellwork.."

Her expression would linger after her rebuttal, her eyes having fallen onto the image of Jangleton as she... did some sort of horizontal interpretive dance? Evelynn hadn't heard the introduction to what must have been a dare, but the contorted countenance and flopping of her person made it look as though she were having some sort of seizure. Someone must have seen Evelynn's confusion because she heard a whisper of fish out of water from someone nearby, clarifying the dare. "Morbid..."
