Insurrection Against Weeds

As Percival fell back, Santario rang out with more laughter clapping her hands together once sending small particles of dirt into her lap. The laughter that emitted from him made her smile as she watched him. This was how it should be kids being able to be kids, and for now, the illusion could maintain. “Work smarter, not harder!” She scrunched her nose in his direction, her laughter dying down to intermittent giggles.
When he called her a scruffian, she gasped dramatically while trying and mostly failing to keep a straight face. “Scruffian?! Me?” Santario batted her eyelashes at him. “I could never you rouge!” The attempt to keep a straight face failed as she took his hand using his help to stand up.
But instead of stepping away, she took a step closer enough for him to smell the jasmine scent of her hair. Leaving not a whole lot of distance between the two of them as she looked at him, a smile playing with the corners of her lips. “Hey, Percival?” Her voice quieter than before. “Has anyone ever told you? That you…” She paused for just a moment before that sweet smile turned mischievous. Her hand moved up and wiped a dirty smear on his face. “That you have dirt on your face?” Then Santario turn and ran away from him and towards the castle while laughing.

Insurrection Against Weeds
Interacting with @Santario Martin
Laughing and acting like a real kid was something that he missed greatly in life, nowadays everything was so dark and serious with no room for humor. Although, he was happy that it was still very much alive inside him "Hmph... I can't argue with that" the prefect replied to her work comment, their back and forth only making his small smile get wider across his face. Seeing San laugh at his expense was quite reassuring, almost as if he could act himself and not put on a serious mask which he felt was mandatory in every walk of life.
"A rouge?! how dare you!" he said in his own dramatics, playing along with her jokes with pleasure. He couldn't help but chuckle again at her attempt of trying to look angry, his face slowly turning red from how much he had been laughing with her "Up you get grubby!" the boy said while at the same time pulling her up to a standing position. With a respectful nod he slowly took a step back to give her space, but to his surprise she only got closer to him.
Gray could smell the beautiful jasmin scent that lingered in her hair as she stood closer to his chest, the smile on his lips diminishing to the corner of his lips when she quietly began to talk "Yes San?" Gray replied in a lower tone matching hers, his eyes calmly looking into hers as she continued to speak. Slowly, like a well well thought ambush she raised a hand to his face and smudged dirt on his cheek. Percival took a step back and put a hand to his face with no emotion, the tips of his fingers getting marked by the dirt that blighted his perfect skin. He should have known she was up to no good when she flashed that mischievous smirk, but by that point, it was too late. After a few seconds, the normally serious boy released a playful laugh before hastily running Santario
"Hey! no one puts dirt on my face and gets away with it!" the prefect shouted after her with glee. For the first time in a long time, Percival had been able to be a kid again. And for that, he was thankful for San.
“This is only a foretaste of what is to come, and only the shadow of what is going to be.”
