Little fingers twitched and scratched at the pale boy's neck whose button-up shirt was quite frankly irritating him to a point where he was more than willing to forget all about etiquette and manners and pull it off of him, right where he stood - in the great hall. It was hot, and Eden hated it when he started sweating. No longer could he dress all the clothes he wanted and feel comfortable in them, and it made him reek like a pig before slaughter. Besides, having such a short temper only made his aggression towards every tiny little thing that was annoying him worse. Any second he spent trying to shift his position made his body even warmer.
Then there was the other fiddling issue... the damn Hufflepuffs he was sitting next to. One lad was stuffing food so fast down his throat that the red of his cheeks felt like they were going to pump out blood any second, whilst a girl on his other side was too busy whispering rumours in Eden's ears after making it clear that he was not interested in any of her stupid gossip. She had big yellow teeth that crossed over her bottom lip, and the amount of saliva she spat out whilst whispering was so disgusting that it made Eden squirm - his body cringe and shiver. All that time spent caring for his hygiene for nothing.
So instead of throwing a fit, he threw a tantrum and bashed his hand into a fist against the large wooden table. He stood up in rage and fiercely looked at the couple of students whom he loathed for simply existing, and rushed out, unbuttoning the ghostly pale white buttons of his shirt, letting a little air come through.
His breath was heavy and one of his hands swung to produce some air, but it was barely effective. Unfortunately, the corridors were not as cold as they were during previous months, where the winds blew heavily and the cold went through the walls. Though he hated wearing yellow, the warmth and comfortability his uniform brought him were much more appreciated than it did nowadays, as Summer had arrived. It was times like these that Eden wished he was proficient enough to know a spell that could maybe seclude his entire body in an ice cube.
He finally made a stop after walking for some minutes aimlessly. It wasn't until he calmed down that he realized that the great hall was past him now and that he unintentionally ended up in a place where he did not intend to be. Maybe he shouldn't have reacted that way, the yelling, the fist - Little Ed felt shame and embarrassment but he couldn't help it. It was them who annoyed him! He sat down on the floor contemplating his actions, and soon, all that thinking got him to what was going to happen with his life. Was he going to return home now seeing as his first year at Hogwarts was soon over? Would his father even allow him to? Would he dare bat an eye at him? Merlin, Eden was scared and feared numerous outcomes that all led to the same conclusion. But he did not wish to bear the truth as it was, and thus stood up to make his way back to the common room, get in bed and maybe pick a book or two - but then he heard footsteps...

The Great Hall wasn't a favoured place of Falentras, especially when it came to dinner time. She often got there bang on time to get what she needed and be on her way. It may have resulted in the less lady-like approach, but if it meant not talking to some pesky kids, she didn't care how she looked. Even if it meant being like some ravaging dog or upper-class picky snob. The thought alone by having to sit and scoff her face in front of her peers was barely manageable. She had Flash, who's company was always a joy to her, but at times he sat elsewhere with his other friends, something she couldn't relate to and maybe even envy in her more vulnerable moments. If she was ever unfortunate enough to be sat alone and be accompanied beside some weirdo, most situations often ended by shoving a pile of food in ones gob, or a quick smack across the head for a result of silence, but even now that was becoming a nuisance. Having to use her poor hand in such a way was starting to make it ache from the thought.
It was one of the very reasons she ate alone outside the Hall with very little that could create a mess, or leave her with sticky hands. A biscuit or an apple normally did the trick and kept her energy going for the rest of the night. The corridor in which led down towards her Common Room was often quiet and welcomed you with a nice cool, dry breeze. It was always nicer around this time of year. Humidity and Fal didn't get along. The feeling of clothes sticking to your body would cause irritation to anyone, surely? Thankfully for her, skirts were part of the dress code, so her pale bony legs would have the joys of feeling the coolness.
Her dark cloak would be in one hand, and part of her white shirt was tucked within her skirt, while the other half hung freely. During the day, her top button was often done-up. Not to be some swat, or worry about breaking certain uniform codes but because fashion had become quite important to her. Looking good was what helped build her confidence up throughout the years after all. Though when it came to the evenings, she more often than not had the top two unbuttoned and let her green tie hang loosely around her neck. Her pleated skirt ended around thigh-length and would be accompanied by some black socks that sat tightly around and above the knees.
Enjoying a caramelized biscuit on her way back towards the dorm, she would have caught the attention of an unfamiliar student who she hadn't seen around here before. The instant acknowledgement of a yellow tie and a foul-looking face was made. What was some Hufflepuff boy doing around here, or at least at this time. It was unusual. Still, it was perfect opportunity for Falentras to have some fun for a little while. He hadn't seemed to notice her yet, which she used to her advantage by picking up her pace and heading into his direction.
If he wasn't to spot her in time, she would force the pair to clash into one another at some force, her own body not taking too much of an impact on the result for being prepared, and of course in hopes to send the boy into some sort of a stumble. If he was to lucky enough to catch her in his view, she would force her way into his path until she had lined herself up in front of him.
''A Hufflepuff round 'ere is rare.'' Her dark hues started by holding a cold stare down to the boy, with her now toughen demeanor taking its place. He hadn't been crying from the look of it, but those sharp features and irritated expressions gave off the impression that this person wasn't your standard cuddly, bubbly huffle. She made sure to take note of that.
''Whats with the face anyway? You look as bad as I feel.'' It was true. She remembered when she wore her expressions so carelessly. It often gave anyone access to how she was feeling. A mistake in itself, but a lesson that needed to be learnt. So what better way than 'showing him the ropes'. It may mean being a bit tough on the lad, but he seemed to need it, and if she was going off judgement, he would probably handle it better than others, A poor judgement, maybe, but she was willing to take her chances.
''Are you listenin'?'' She would snap, making sure to get his full attention. ''This.'' A hand lifted as she spoke, pointing a long finger directly at his face. ''Dunno who's pissed you off but you need to get it under control. Can't be walking round with a face like that. You'll be given people nightmares.'' The same finger would reach further till it pressed firmly against his cheek, trying to push it up enough to force a smirk to his face.
Personal boundaries were an absolute must, when it came to herself. But if it was her choice on performing such a close form of contact, she couldn't care less in what they thought. Right now, making him uncomfortable, or pissing him off further was something she had already taken into account. But if he's going to be walking around with a scowl on his face, and wear it in front of her, it was a temptation she couldn’t avoid wanting to play with.
If he slapped her hand away, or tried to move away in time for her to avoid making contact with him, a playful smirk would make its way to her lips. No further action would follow. Only silence. She wanted to see what she was truly working with here.

It hit harder than a lightning bolt. Automatically at first guess, Eden was sure that he was getting tormented for the rest of the night by one of the ghosts roaming the castle. The push had struck him hard enough to feel his shoulder crunch. He feared that the fall would injure him horrifically, and the last thing he wanted to do was spend the last few days at Hogwarts shrieking in pain and spending his last nights away in the Hospital Wing. But his hands had balanced out his fall, though regardless, he fell on his bum and his backbone didn’t feel so good once it came in contact with the floor. He felt some sort of spike poking at his hands.
Due to the sudden impact and fear of ghosts, Eden kept his eyes shut close throughout the whole thing. But then a voice confirmed that it wasn’t a ghost that decided to make his night more miserable, but a much older student with black hair. Her face was of sorrows and grief, Eden was not an empath by any means, but the lass had made him sadder, and she didn’t seem to be anywhere close to friendly. Fear struck him like it had so many times in his life. How much he wished to be the brave boy his mother reassured him he was every night - every letter. But all he was, was a craven. A boy - not a man - that feared everything and everyone. Maybe his viciousness served him well at times, and this time, regardless of what he thought of this stranger, he was ready to use his sharpened tongue for good, and do what he was best at: Talk.
“Are you blind or stupid?!” Little Ed yelled furiously, wanting to stomp his fist into the ground another time - but refraining from hurting himself again.
“The rarity of a Hufflepuff in these areas are the last thing I’d concern myself with if I were you, I’m not like the lot of ‘em. Do I give you the sensation that I’m weak?” With a squealing voice like the one Eden used, anyone would think of him as a puny little child who has a shorter temper than he had wits. And given his record of how he faired when opposing anyone, such judgement was not a lie in any manner.
What threw the boy off, however, aside from what already had occurred in the span of a few seconds, was the audacity the girl had. At first, he didn’t dare to think that she’d push her dirty finger into his cheek, but when she did, Eden did not hesitate to slap her hand away, swifter than a shooting star. His mouth shaped in a disgusted frown. It was there and then when he tried to get back on his feet. The fall still had him, and his back failed him as he stood. It almost felt like he was being stabbed. But regardless, he stood, with his right hand attached to his back like a two-hundred-years old hag.
“You don’t know who’s pissed me off? Let me help you - she’s a she, got black hair as if it was burned ashes but never dusted off, looks like a wingless duck and smells like a frog. How naive can you be to even ask me such a question?!” Eden sounded more frustrated than ever. She asked him the question as if she hadn’t just caused his fall.
“Next time watch where you’re going, and maybe you’ll sleep with the lights off tonight.”

Oh. Oohh~ She was playing with fire it seemed. How fun. His scowling appearance sure did match his tone and choice of words. Now normally Falentra wouldn't stand for his attitude, as much as she started it, he did have his rights to defend himself. But. Being mad at his at his outburst that she couldn't help but see within her younger self, she decide to react with a tease-- to wind up the poor lad even more.
A hand would raise to her mouth, as if to be shocked. Though her expression would not show it. Instead what would have thought to have been a gasp or a raise of the brows and a slightly open mouth from utter shock would be replaced with a sly chuckle. ''Well that's cute.'' He asked whether she had been blind or stupid, a common insult to throw at someone, so she took little notice on the matter. However when he questioned his weakness, her hand would lower and now fold within the other. A coy smile appeared briefly as she kept the silent treatment going awhile longer, and those judging eyes peering down at him.
''If you consider acting like a little chihuahua weak, then yes.'' The coy smile how turned into a twisted grin though she had quickly hid it by shifting her gaze off to the side to check their surroundings. The Slytherin was always on edge. Not with worry, but more so having to deal with being caught bullying, or teasing, depending on how you took it. The amount of people that kissed the professors arses, or ran to the prefects to spill some gossip was crazy. But that wasn't the center of topic right now. This so-called Hufflepuff was. Speaking of, did he not consider himself proud of his house? It seemed to be far from the case. But why? The curiosity brewed, but she kept her cool, for now. She was having too much fun with him at the moment.
The slap of her hand that soon followed was to be expected, as much as she didn't think he'd of actually gone ahead and done it, he did. It had caused a quirk of her eyebrow, an irritated expression now sitting on her own face. He was getting too comfortable. Not only with the slap but with his mouth. He was running it too much and she didn't like it. ''Easy now...'' She stated seconds after he had finished his degrading speech on her appearance. ''You had a face on you before I came, so enough of this shit else i'll put you back on the floor in a state were you won't be able to get up, chihuahua~''
She had let him off on more occasions than she had with others combined. If only he had known, maybe he'd of had a tad more respect for her. Putting aside the fact she had just pushed him to the ground for the fun of it. It was only because of his reaction that she had put up with his sharp tongue. He had a little Fal attitude on him. Though if he was to carry on throwing more abuse her way, she would not take too kindly, nor have the same patience as now. ''Now. Are you going to tell me the real reason why you were down here with an attitude like this?''
