Tensing up as Gabriella kissed her before leaving the thread | Action
The next time the bottle landed on Sarah, she was smiling, expecting another light-hearted kiss to the cheek or a hug perhaps. The fact that she was even contemplating giving one of these near strangers a hug was uncharacteristically open for the young Slytherin, though seemingly the summer camp had managed to break down some of the walls she had which kept people at arm’s length. She stood up, as she had each other time it had been her turn, patting down her dress as she did and waited a moment.
There was something in the girl’s eyes as she approached her – a determination which dared to be threatened. Though Sarah could also sense the nervous energy the girl seemed to exude; she was determined but unsure it seemed. And perhaps in hindsight, had the Slytherin took a second to fully process the way in which the girl strode towards her and the nature of the game she was currently wrapped up in, she might have registered sooner what was about to happen. But the playful undertone which had so far stayed intact for Sarah’s game at least had made her too comfortable and so she wasn’t actually expecting anyone to kiss her. Not properly at least. Nothing more than the faux-kiss she’d received to begin with or the cheek she’d let her lips bush against.
So when the girl did reach her, haphazardly throwing her arms around her neck and pulling her closer than she’d ever wanted to be to anyone, it took longer than she’d have liked for her to process what was happening. The initial shock of wet lips against her own and arms squeezing her tightly did eventually dissipate into wide-eyed fear and then a simmering anger to try and cover up the panic rising up within her. Like usual, these emotions didn’t show on her face, one which remained perfectly neutral. To anyone who didn’t look closely enough, Sarah would appear unrattled by the fact that she’d just been kissed by a girl she didn’t know – she might even look borderline smug. Internally, her mind was racing a mile a minute and she was focussing entirely on not making a fool out of herself and running away.
For once, she was grateful for the hours of etiquette lessons her father insisted were so important. It allowed the mask of perfect neutrality she’d spent years created to fall easily over her features. Even when the girl practically shouted that the kiss had been awful which Sarah tried not to take personally given that she played very little part in the entire thing herself. The girl looked apologetic, but Sarah knew that if she said anything else, she would snap at her and scold her on learning about boundaries and majorly overstepping them. As it was, Sarah was eager to remove herself from this situation as quickly and gracefully as possible so mostly bit back a sarcastic comment and the indignant snort which she wanted to release.
“The feeling’s mutual I assure you,” She said through a forced smile and turned as she noticed tears forming in the other girl’s eyes. She had kissed her, she shouldn’t be the one upset by this whole thing. Sarah clung to the anger she felt in that moment, hoping it was stave off the panic building in her stomach. She could manage anger, that was something she was used to at least.
Not wanting to continue playing this game anymore, any fun she’d been having completely gone, Sarah bent to grab her jacket from where she’d been sat in the circle, offered a hopefully convincing smile to those still playing, and left with her head held high. No matter what she felt on the inside, she’d not let it show. She wouldn’t run away crying, far more capable of controlling her emotions than that, and she wouldn’t let her mask break until she was away from at least the majority of people in the clearing. She was a Lightwood, after all, and stolen first kiss or not, she would keep face.

Haley looked eagerly at Simon and Atlas as they prepared for their kiss and it wasn't too long before their lips met. Haley didn't look at them angrily, quite the opposite, but she still felt a little bit of jealousy rising in her stomach. It should be, after all it was her boyfriend who was kissing someone else, but Haley wasn't sure if it was because of that. Was she really jealous because of him or because she would rather be in Simon's place and have another chance to kiss Atlas? Haley quickly shook off the thoughts, but the blush had already risen to her face and she only hoped that no one could read her thoughts.
"Yes!" cheered Haley, throwing her fist up victoriously as Atlas announced that Haley was the better kisser. She started laughing, of course it wasn't a competition, but secretly she was a little proud too. Haley followed Atlas with her eyes as she sat back down and watched her spin the bottle again. A small part of her hoped that the bottle would stop with her again, but it didn't and the game continued its usual course.
Eventually, the bottle landed on Haley again. It was at that moment that she stopped paying attention to the game for a moment. She glanced around the circle to find the player whose turn it currently was. She glanced around slightly nervously, anyone here could have spun the bottle but several pairs of eyes pointed to a boy with a scar on his face. The others had probably noticed her helplessness and sent her a sign, which she gratefully acknowledged.
Haley smiled a little sheepishly at the boy, would he come to her now? Should she stand up? It felt like the waiting pairs of eyes were burning into her. She couldn't stand it any longer, she felt she had to do something. So she slowly stood up and walked over to him, "So um, you spin the bottle, right?" she assured herself before it could get any more embarrassing for her.
As soon as he would confirm it, she would kneel in front of him so as not to be the centre of attention any longer and wait for his next move. Whatever he chose, a kiss, a hug or nothing at all - Haley would accept.

Perhaps it was for the best that Greta had been caught off guard with that kiss from the Pigsnout boy. Taken aback as she was, all thought of trying to work out what he had been saying had been swiftly vanquished from her mind. In fact, just about everything in close proximity had faded into a quiet buzz of static that mercifully spared her from the image of an emotionally distraught Theodore as he turned away from the lip-locking to spare himself further heartache.
How long the kiss lasted, she wasn't quite sure. Eventually the boy pulled away, though, and her eyes flew open instantly. The smile was the first thing she noticed. It made her stomach lurch in a funny way. The chuckle that followed, however, set that lurching into an uncomfortable vibration as unease set in. Why was he laughing? Had it been bad? Was he laughing at her? She knew she wasn't experienced in this realm, but it hadn't seemed so difficult a task. He'd said something about hitting. Was her kiss so bad that it was laughable?? Like her lips had hit him in the face?
Down-trodden, Greta dropped her gaze to the ground, lips pressing together to stop their quivering as she replayed the scene in her head. It was all she could do to avoid the temptation to glance to the others around the ring. But she didn't want to see them laughing at her apparent head butt kisses as well. Pulling her knees to her chest, she wrapped her arms around them, murmuring quietly in Norwegian in a hope that it would just pass her by going forward.
Apparently she would not be so lucky. In a stroke of gross misfortune bordering on ridiculousness, Greta would swear that the world was playing a trick on her as the bottle from that same boy's hand spun round and round to, once again, come resting upon her. She didn't move, quite certain that whatever her failure was from the last time would put the boy off from wanting to kiss her again. The grin that crossed his features and his smooth approach suggested otherwise. All over again, she found the world fading away, her seafoam gaze drawn to fix upon his as he closed the distance.
It was odd. The first kiss was fine (to her anyway). Able to be shrugged off as just an experiment. Something to gain a bit of experience. But a second kiss? So soon? Somehow this seemed... scandalous. Like a cherry at harvest, Greta's face flushed with the sudden spike in her heart rate. Every bit closer that he drew sent it climbing all the higher. There was no hesitation, no pause. She felt the warmth of his hand on her cheek and tried to keep his face in focus, but it blurred right as he angled in for the kiss.
Reflexively, or perhaps spurred by his own confidence, she eased into it again. Knuckles previously knotted and clutched tightly in the patchwork fabric of her dress loosened, until they eventually released and lowered to find purchase upon the ground to serve as an anchor from which to lean. Knees that had been bent, acting almost like a wall between them, softened and drifted each to a side until she sat cross-legged and receptive.
It was... nice. The kisses. It was like they lit a little fire within her chest, sending a thrill of excitement through her that was entirely different from the thrill of quidditch. Or duelling. She felt safe, the hand upon her cheek somehow serving as a silent promise of protection. He was kissing her again. He. Was kissing her. Again. She started to smile into the kiss. She couldn't help it. Her worry seemed to silly in hindsight. It was like he actually wanted to kiss her. To be wanted. That was a nice feeling.
When they eventually pulled apart, Greta's hand lifted, fingers wiping at her lower lip, the trace of a smile still lingering upon them. "Th-thank you." Her gaze danced between the boy and her hands which had wound themselves in her skirts all over again. "It is nice.." she murmured, cheeks still pink.
Being kissed by Ethen. Again. And kissing him back. Again.

Rejection sucks. If Jack had to be honest, he already was done with this game. Something deep down inside of him was already counting on the rule of threes. There have already been two rejections, so why not make it three? Some of the others seemed to have been getting on the same way. As he was lazily lounging and watching the others, Jack casually watched as Felix leaned in on Alec before a very unexpected reaction. Apparently, Alec wasn't much of a fan of kissing a fella, so with a violent shove, the boy stormed off and quickly followed after the white-haired kid.
Kissing, kissing, and more kissing. Woo! So fun. However, after several moments of spinning, kissing, and running, it came to Jack's turn. Lazily the boy stretched out his arm, not really paying attention, and grabbed hold of the bottle in the center. With an uninspired and unenthusiastic oomph, the boy spun the bottle. As it turned, the prefect glanced down and began to pick at his nails. Before he even noticed that the bottle had stopped on a redheaded Gryffindor. It took a moment before Jack had finally looked up. He had to glance at the tip of the bottle to reconfirm. Was this going to be rejection number three? She smiled, and so Jack just gave the nod.
Only moments before he was going to stand and try again, the girl was already by his side. As he looked up at her, she asked for confirmation if he, in fact, were the spinner. "Yee-up" Easy enough for him to say. With his own confirmation, Haley would kneel before him. Welp. Time for him to try again, because why not? With a shrug, he would lean in and plant a kiss on Haley's lips.
Thank Merlin, That immediately restored Jack's ego to full capacity. It was so strange... is this what people call self-doubt? Had jack never felt self-doubt before? He hated it. In his head, he confirmed that he would never again live without confidence. Jack knew, for a fact, he was perfect. Crisis averted. It took a moment before he pulled back, but afterward, Jack would nod again. "Nice. I knew that I am a good kisser. I shouldn't doubt myself." Jack was back to being insufferable.

Lydia smiled at Theo, taking note of his name in her mind; he didn't have a familiar face, so she assumed that he must have been a student coming from one of the visiting Schools. "Nice to meet you too," she said, and seeing that he was okay with her kissing his cheek, the red headed girl closed the distance between them and left there a quick kiss, her cheeks slightly flushed in a sudden burst of embarrassment. As Lydia pulled back she adjusted her hair behind her ear and smiled back at Theo, before going back to her place.
As the rest of the round went by, Lydia couldn't help but notice how it seemed like the number of people playing got smaller and smaller, and wondered if that was how the game was supposed to go; Of course nobody ever wrote in books or showed in movies how exactly the game continued, or how it ended, after the scene with the main character was over, so Lydia had no idea on what to expect.
Then the next round came, and Lydia observed how a boy with a familiar face -so most likely a student from Hogwarts- spun the bottle and it landed on her. She looked up at him, her eyes moving from the bottle to the boy's one, and she gave him a half smile, before she made her way towards him. "Hey! I'm Lydia," she friendly said, and waited to see what the boy would do.

In some ways, Simon could be a competitive person. He could be the type that when playing hockey or squash he would put in his one hundred percent and give something his all, eventually usually wearing down an opponent. Maybe this is what he felt right now, being the 'loser' out of the best kisser in the eyes of Atlas Reid but no, he didn't think that was it.
It was the way that Haley and Atlas both seemed to act after the kiss that made him feel uneasy. He hadn't paid attention to Atlas herself but it didn't seem Haley had that same similar reaction to the others and that made him a little suspicious. Suspicious and a little infuriated and he wasn't sure he wanted to play anymore.
Before he could decide whether to bow out or not, it was his turn so to keep the game going, he spun the bottle quickly and a little too hard, so it went around and around and around, almost seeming to never stop. When it did, he glanced up to the third year Hufflepuff. He knew her as in placing a face with the name, because she was known within the Hufflepuff house, but he had never spoken to her.
Part of him wanted to go straight up to Lydia and bring her head into his hands and kiss her passionately, more so than anyone had done during that game. Haley could see what it felt like. But no, his aunt taught him to have more class than that so despite wanting to - he wouldn't. He did get up and make his way over to the redhead. Of course it was a redhead. "Hi, Lydia," he said back, knowing though already. "I'm Simon," and he held out his hand to her. If she would take it, he would raise it to his lips to gently lay a kiss upon the back and do nothing more. Despite his urge, he didn't REALLY want to hurt Haley, and he also would never want to use someone to cause that pain.

Moderation Post - Round 4
Ethen Emrys was totally enjoying kissing Greta Fransson it seemed! Neither of them hesitated to go in for a second kiss! He would take the opportunity to spin the bottle again after their second kiss. Was he hoping for a hat trick? The bottle had other plans, stopping at Haley Rose. Weirdly though, Haley also spun the bottle and got Greta... How weird that the pair would end up separately but only to get the same person?
Felix Kolbeck was, obviously, still dreaming of that handsome tan Durmstrang boy that he met at Truth or Dare. Either way, he figured he would go for the kiss - this time far more gently. Alec Mason was having none of it though. After shoving the former boy away, both of them moved away from the bottle, leaving the area.
Gabriella Haworth kissed Sarah Lightwood and... neither of them enjoyed that. After deciding that they both hated kissing, they left the area and stopped playing the game. Smart, really. A lesson learned for the future, most likely.
Atlas Reid would find herself spinning the bottle to land on... Simon Kincaid. Wait, had they not been there already? How many times was this? Were they trying to kiss more times than Ethen-Greta?! Was this a competition? Who knows but guess it is now!
Jack Warren was finally in great spirits again after his bromance came through and his former partner agreed to kiss him. Spinning the bottle with such an aura of confidence must have helped the bottle to know what he wanted - another cute girl to potentially kiss. It pointed to Lydia Cooper!

Simon wasn't sure he wanted to sit and play anymore as he had experienced two blows to his ego in one short duration. He had attempted to brush it off, to take the high road - making sure not to upset Haley or use Lydia Cooper as some kind of revenge method. No, he had remained a gentleman. That's how it should be. Besides, this was just a game, right? Maybe he was taking it all a little too seriously.
Maybe he only misinterpreted Haley's rosey cheeks after kissing the Hufflepuff girl. Surely that was it. She was a redhead after all and her fair complexion just could have lead to a false assumption of things. He knew Haley was true in their relationship.
And as for Atlas choosing Haley as 'the best kisser,' well, that was done out of the girl code, that bond where girls stuck together. Girl power. It had nothing to do with the fact that Haley actually WAS the better kisser. It couldn't be.
He tried to brush it off yet again in the next second. This sort of thing couldn't get to his head because it was all nonsense. Again, he was just taking it all far too seriously.
In that next round, he would see two curious things happen. One, the bottle would pair Haley up with fellow quidditch player and third year Ethen Emrys but somehow Simon didn't feel threatened by this. Heck, with the way she was smiling so foolishly about Atlas's kiss, maybe she didn't even prefer a kiss from the male gender.
The bitterness was showing again. It seemed to just grow until he was caught off guard by something.
The spinning bottle slowed further and further and further until it stopped - right on him. He glance up to see that it had been Atlas Reid who had done so. Again?
Damn right, again! Now he could prove to Atlas that he was a better kisser. No more being this gentleman. He had kissed loads of girls in his time and over the years as he always was one of the boys in his class to like girls early, have his first girlfriend early, and so forth.
This time he would set things right. He would bring about that experience, the knowledge of the mechanics, the passion of it all. He would show Atlas Reid that he was the better kisser between he and Haley and maybe a part of him (as shamefully as it was) wanted to show Haley that he too could bring more to this sort of game than what he had been.
"We meet again," he said as he got up made some strides across the room back over to where she was. He glanced over and caught Haley sitting in the crowd and decided to seem to pay her no mind. "Looks like the bottle has spoken, you can't get enough of me." That sort of statement could have been said by someone else and it would seem they were big-headed and trying to be all macho but just being Simon - it was playful.
He didn't even stop for consent this time as he had been granted it earlier; he just brought his hand gently though some of the hair that framed her face before leaning in. It was a soft kiss at first, his lips brushing against hers, softly, delicately. As he felt the warmth of her skin, he deepened it. He held her with a firm embrace while his lips moved with her own. If he pulled off this seduction, then maybe he would be able to change Atlas's mind about the best kisser and maybe, just maybe a part of him (sadly so) wanted to make Haley Rose jealous. His hand moved through the blonde's hair with one hand while the other rested on her side and he held her there close to him. It wouldn't be a bad kiss at all. The boy had the experience and now he wasn't holding back.
Action: Passionately kissing Atlas and not holding back to prove that he truly is the better kisser, secretly, and maybe not even knowledgeable to his self - Simon is trying to get revenge on Haley.

Feeling a bit down from her first rejection of the game, Atlas pulled her knee to her chest as she let out a quiet exhale. She had never really faced rejection in her life as humorous as that was at her young age but still she wondered if Theo found her to be too flirtatious for her liking. Why did she care what he thought? It wasn’t like she was going to date him...And it wasn’t like she was the only one who had faced rejection in this game. Perhaps her fluttered thoughts were only adding to the uneasiness swimming in her stomach.
Subtly tracing her eyes up to the other side of the circle, Atlas rested on Haley for a moment as a small smile tugged at her lips before she found herself looking away, running her hands through her hair. She was so stupid for feeling this way. Both she and Haley were in committed relationships and yet she could see Haley’s emotions mirroring her own. There was something there, a playful fire that they shared and the most she could hope for is that she and Haley could be friends after today.
There was no way she would be able to never speak to her again. Perhaps Atlas could invite her to a Quidditch practice get together or maybe a trip to Hogsmeade. To be honest she didn’t really know all that much about Haley but she was dying to become more acquainted and hopefully Haley was too. As outgoing as Atlas was, she didn't really find herself hanging with anyone apart from Ethen but maybe Haley could change that.
Simon was the first to spin the bottle as Atlas nodded to herself pulling her focus back to the game as her eyes followed the bottle round and round until it slowed and stopped in front of her. Letting out a little laugh at Simon’s quip, the young girl followed him with her eyes but felt her chest tighten as Simon turned to look at Haley. She couldn’t help her brows furrowing as she wondered if he was looking at her to see her reaction to Atlas. Did he pick up on their connection earlier? Was he jealous? Did he feel threatened?
His next comment as he returned his focus back to her, made it seem like he wasn’t upset as Atlas quickly relaxed her face, playfully rolling her eyes in response. Before she had time to prepare, Simon was gently intertwining his fingers into her hair as he pulled her in for a soft kiss. Closing her eyes, Atlas could feel the warmth of his breath as the familiarity of his kiss sent a shiver down her spine. Feeling Simon deepening the kiss, Atlas started to pull away as she felt his hold on her head.
Her heart picking up pace, Atlas couldn’t understand why Simon was still kissing her as she forcibly gave him another kiss hoping to satiate him before starting to pull away once more. Simon’s free hand moved down to her side and held her in place as her heartbeat pounded in her ears. He wasn’t stopping. Why wasn’t he stopping? This was just supposed to be a quick kiss to appease the bottle and that’s all. With the force Simon was giving, Haley would think otherwise. What if she saw Atlas as a threat and didn’t want to see her anymore? What if Ethen thought Atlas was enjoying Simon's kiss more than his? She wasn’t, but from how this looked, the people she cared about could end up getting hurt.
Trying to pull away once more from Simon’s passionate kiss, Atlas could feel her nerves building up as she felt her body going hot. Placing both her hands on Simon’s chest, Atlas forcibly pushed him away from her.
“What the hell, Simon?!” Atlas bit back a look of anger and hurt showcasing in her eyes. “What are you trying to prove?!”
Keeping her eyes locked on Simon, Atlas waited for some sort of explanation. She wanted to look at Haley and Ethen but she was afraid of what she would see in their faces. Did he just ruin everything for a stupid game? Did he do this on purpose so that Haley would be mad at Atlas? There was no way he actually had feelings for her so why did he do it?

Haley looked at the boy with furrowed brows, had he really just said that? She didn't really find the kiss earth-shattering and his ego was more than unattractive. "You wish." She replied, rolling her eyes, and sat back down in her seat.
Even though she wished the whole thing would be fun again, it wasn't. Simon was clearly upset but she couldn't place why. Was it because she had kissed someone else? No, that couldn't be, he was doing it too after all and just a few minutes ago they could joke with each other about it. But what had she done then that he was suddenly so different? With her eyes still puzzled, she followed him and watched as he now placed only a gentle kiss on the back of the girl's hand.
The uncertainty would not last much longer as the next round started and Simon's bottle landed on Atlas, again. Coincidence or fate, whatever it was, it would only complicate everything. This time Simon didn't hold back, it almost seemed like he wished he could kiss Atlas again. Could Haley blame him? No, the kiss was nice, but this was not why Simon was happy about it. With shocked eyes and slightly open mouth, Haley watched as he didn't hold back and kissed Atlas passionately. What the heck, mister? Was he really serious? Was his ego so bruised that Haley was called a better kisser to begin with? It was all just a game and some fun. Haley could hardly believe it and while she didn't know the real reason, she noticed the anger rising inside her. She would have loved to just get up and leave.
Get up and leave, that's exactly what she would do but not before it was her turn. Haley wanted to get out of here as fast as she could. She took the bottle and spun it and waited impatiently until it finally stopped. While it sound and spun the girl didn't look up from the bottle and definitely didn't look at Simon or Atlas, after the kissing scene she hadn't given either of them a glance. The bottle stopped and Haley looked up at an unfamiliar girl, but she didn't really care. She stood up, her gaze fixed only on the girl. Her face was serious, but when she arrived at her destination, she put on a slight smile so as not to scare the girl. She offered her a hug and as soon as it would be accepted or rejected, Haley would turn around and leave the round without further ado.
