A small twinkle of amusement lit up in his gaze. "So maybe it is a bit casual. In other settings I would be over-dressed. I do like my collared shirts, but no I'd rather not be compared to a shower curtain." He frowned at the thought but then quickly let out a small exhale of amusement from his nose as she gestured to him as being a "good view". Milo took one of her soft hands and twirled her around. Walking around her with his hand clasping hers like some sort of fancy dance courtship before he dropped it slowly letting his fingertips trail down her wrist. Her hand was cool, a big difference to his constantly warmth-emitting self and sometimes, unfortunately clammy hands, but they oddly complimented each other. The boy had a good view himself when he took a step back to fully admire the beauty in front of him. The dressed hugged her, but not in an overbearing way and the darkness of it enhanced her skin and intense yet dark and mysterious eyes. The red lipstick although mature for her age made her lips all the more curious to look at. Her smirk and the rest of her was quite intoxicating to put it lightly.

"You weren't trying to out stage me now were you? Perhaps if I wore a white dress I could've shone brighter than you, but alas the devil no matter how dark they are, always can be figured out in a crowd." He tilted her chin up with a single finger underneath, this time not a challenging smirk played on his face but a soft smile. "You look more than decent darling, someone would be blind or have no taste if they didn't agree with me." His face remained warm, but his voice became cold and firm. Someone had missed their chance with this beauty and now that she was in his presence he wasn't going to let her go.

Was he wrapped around her finger or was she wrapped around his?

Milo laced their fingers together once again, their opposing temperatures clashing. Her last line brought back his goofy smirk. This drop dead gorgeous gal was a tough nut to crack, but he didn't mind a little challenge. He had shown his emotions to her, not it was only time before she opened up. The boy slowly crept his hand around her waist, hugging her close in a comfortable yet slightly possessive way. As he slipped into the shadows with her, the tap of his shoes could be heard against the marble floor, his other hand tucked into his pocket. "Let's dance." A quick flash of pearly whites in the shape of a grin were seen before the pair drifted off into the shadows away from the few people still scattered about.

Had there been screaming, kissing and other drama around them? Yes. Did they have a care in the world? Nope. Their eyes were for each other only and if the world burnt down around them, so be it.

Pulling the cup back from her lips, she was pleasantly surprised when Noah rejected her offer to tutor him. She had grown accustomed to the humdrum of schoolwork and it was nice to be somewhere she was wanted rather than needed. That he hadn't kept up with duelling was an offense she would have to see corrected. "Well you can start keeping up with it now that you know you should right?" The tone of her voice was more like suggestion than question.

"I'm slated for a tournament against your school this summer," she reflexively put the hand holding her halo on her hip, jostling her wings just a bit as she got into a more confident stance. "I'd be grateful if you came to cheer for me and celebrate my victory with me." Her smile wouldn't be overshadowed by the pain hidden in her heart. Her parents usually attended these kinds of sporting events but rarely caught the whole match. It was even more rare an occasion that were they there just to support her interest.

This time they had confessed that they were too busy saving their political face with the other pureblood families to even make an attempt to show. "But if you can't make it I understand. It's only a duel after all. There are more important things after all. Like your grades." She didn't believe the words as they came out of her mouth. She was meant to be a warrior through and through, yet here she was dismissing her prideful talent in case the boy before her needed to save himself the guilt trip.

With some commotion across the courtyard, Roberta's focus shifted. It seemed that the others were already leaving. It wasn't fair, she thought at first, their fun had only just begun. Why did it all have to come to an end so soon? "A dance before we go?" She said offering to take his hand in hers, halo still in its clutch. Oh well. She might as well enjoy what she had while it lasted.

His thirst satisfied, Noah put the cup back down and thought about it, he didn't particularly care about any kind of sport and he didn't want to take his time taking any interest in one either, mostly just because of how painfully hard it was to catch up to what's going on.

That made sense, she was part of the duelling competition, that's why she suddenly bought it up, although he did find it... what would be the appropriate word... cute, was the closest he could think of, whenever he could see her pride shining through her. It was interesting to him how... competent she seemed at times. He wasn't sure how hard duelling competitions were but it probably wouldn't be too easy to get into them.

He wasn't sure why she thought it would be hard for him to make it though, had he complained too much about how much work he had? He could easily squeeze out a few hours or however long an average duel would take. Although it did sound rather boring to go watch a duel. No, wait, he shouldn't think down that path. He had to make the commitment to go before his brain convinced him it was a bad idea and ended up using studies as an excuse.

He chuckled a bit, "Would be a bit weird if I came to the competition to cheer for our schools' opponents, wouldn't it?" He took a little pause before continuing, "Just kidding, of course. I don't really care much about which school wins, I'll be there." He took another pause this time, although this time it was less for comedic effect but more for the fact that the thought hadn't struck him yet, "Oh wait... I don't know about cheering though. I'm not sure my classmates would be too happy with me if I did that. I'll be sure to be there, at least. Sorry." He did feel a bit bad about the fact but there wasn't much he could do about it either, he certainly didn't want to attract any attention and cheering for the opponents sounded like a horrible idea in that regard.

Ah, so everyone was leaving already. He wasn't too excited about the evening ended, considering how short it already had been but had learnt one thing from the last ball, enjoying the moment was a lot better than thinking about how soon it was going to end. He turned to her her and nodded, giving her his hand, a small smile creeping up on his face as they walked towards the dance floor.
