Finally, it seemed like it was time for Serena to spin the bottle. So, she reached for it and gave it a good spin, watching as it went around and around. Eventually, it landed on a boy who she vaguely recognized from the Hufflepuff Common Room and seeing in the stands during Quidditch games.

“Hey,” Serena said with a slight wave.

"I'm good with whatever," The boy said.

“Um, me too,” Serena let out a nervous laugh. “I’ve, uh, never played this game before, or kissed anyone either, so…” She trailed off, blushing a bit at having admitted that she’d never been kissed in front of the whole group.

Serena wasn’t sure of what to do now. Was she ready to kiss yet? Or should Serena stick to a hug? Well, one thing was for sure, she needed to decide soon; otherwise, this poor boy would just be sitting there forever waiting for an answer.

“Um, how about a kiss on the cheek?” Serena asked, leaning her right cheek slightly towards him.

That seemed like a good idea. It wasn’t quite a kiss on the lips, but it would be a good warm-up for if Serena decided to kiss anyone tonight. Well, that was if he chose to kiss her cheek; he could still say no, after all.

They were well into the game now and Amelia could confidently say that she was going to leave tonight without having her first kiss, she didn't mind though because the thought of kissing someone she didn't even know for the sake of a game made her stomach turn. The Hufflepuff personally believed that a first kiss was meant to be special, it was meant to feel like fireworks and magic, it was not meant to be the result of a teenage party game.

Okay, so maybe she was being a little overdramatic. For most people, kissing someone for a game probably wasn't that big of a deal, they'd likely forget about it the next day and move on with their lives. Amelia couldn't help it though, she was a young girl who had watched too many Disney movies and was now thoroughly convinced that she'd find her own Prince Charming. Who knows, maybe someday she will.

Even so, she still enjoyed watching everyone else play the game and she had to applaud the people who actually had the guts to kiss their partners on the lips. Amelia was brought out of her reverie when she realized that someone had spun the bottle and it was pointing directly at her. She shook her head as if to clear her mind and looked up to see who her new partner was. It was a girl who didn't look much older than Amelia, probably a year or two difference if she had to guess. Amelia stood up and walked over to the girl, "Do you want to hug?" She asked with a smile. "Or if you're uncomfortable with that we could just shake hands or something." She suggested.

Okay, so it turned out Autumn had once again lied to herself, and she really didn't know what surprised her so much about the fact. She couldn't kiss anyone!

...Or could she?

No, no she couldn't. Or maybe she could. But she definitely couldn't. She would love to pretend that it was a matter of pride, dignity and the people in the group, but no. She was just really scared. That was weird, because she didn't really care about the first kiss concept? She didn't have a huge fairytale-esque ideal as to how her first kiss would go. She honestly didn't mind, as long as it didn't absolutely suck or take place at a parking lot. Still, knowing her and her luck, her first kiss probably would end up being horrible and in the middle of a retail store's parking lot.

Or, she could have her first kiss during a school camp with someone she barely knew. Both options should have sounded unappealing- and it wasn't as if Autumn liked the ideas- but she didn't really see the significance. It was a sort of mild epiphany, just the realisation that she honestly, truly did not care. So what if she had her first kiss with a stranger in front of a group while playing Spin the Bottle? She lost nothing from that, and she gained something to snark back to her sister about.

She went on with that revelation until someone indicated that it was her turn to spin the bottle. She did so, a simple flick of the wrist, and it landed on someone who offered her a hug or a handshake. Autumn shrugged.

"A handshake sounds way too formal for this setting, which is why I would absolutely love to go with that option."

She reached her hand out, less tense than earlier, but still holding herself with the mildly stiff and threatening aura that seemed to follow her naturally.

Earl took the long pause in stride, giving her a reassuring smile. She was drop dead gorgeous, and her style was on point. "Not a lot of people have!" the tiny boy chirped, gazing around the circle. Many of the students had chickened out, some had left. Earl couldn't blame them. This was his first actual game of spin the bottle, and had it not been for Daisy's gentle instructions last summer, he would have frozen or lingered on the sidelines.

Instead, he made his way over to where Serena was sitting, having to step over the bottle to do so. She was right across the circle from him, and he realized with a start he'd been staring at her for a large portion of the game. Or rather, through her. After the sheer amount of food and running around he'd done all day, it was all he could do to not fall asleep. Fix his sights on something stationary, observe it from within half lidded eyes. "I just realized I've been looking at your shirt for the past half an hour," he said guiltily, running a hand through the shortly cropped bubblegum hair.

"You gotta tell me where you got it, it's so cute." He could have totally pulled it off. A few adjustments around the sleeves and the chest area, perhaps taking in the bottom a bit. With a light jacket to match the pastel, a pair of dark gray jeans...

Earl blinked himself back to the present. Leaning in, he pressed a kiss to her cheek. The second year had the softest lips and he smelled faintly of chocolate and campfire smoke. He was all gentleness and care, pulling away with a soft smile and a light in his eyes. "Good luck next year at quidditch by the way" he said, scooting back towards his seat and handing the bottle to the next person. He didn't understand the game enough to know whether she was good or not. Just cheered whenever the other Hufflepuffs cheered, and nodded along pretending he knew what was going on during conversations. It wasn't hard. Tumblr had taught him that you didn't necessarily have to know anything about anything to sound smart. Just repeat what other people had said, and seem passionate about it.

"Hey!" Cassie laughed good-naturedly when Scarlett decided to try and make her jealous. "I'm not, anyway. It's been so long since I last ate strawberries that I have no idea what they taste like."

And then Scarlett and Charles dropped the bombshell. "You've never heard of Lady and the Tramp?!" the muggleborn asked incredulously. "I mean, I'm not surprised with you, Charlie, but Scar?!" Cassie shook her head. "It's a Disney film, about dogs. I think they did a live action version of it a while ago? We haven't watched any of the live action ones; Papa reckons they spoil the originals."

"Sure," Cassie grinned before turning to Scarlett. "Charles was just suggesting a broom race, wanna come?"

When Charles next put forward the idea that Cassie should learn another language if Scarlett learnt French, the girl snorted. "He wants me to learn Norwegian," she told Scarlett. "Charlie, since when did you speak Norwegian?!"

Cassie next gaped at her friend. "Scar - you have a love life?!" she exclaimed gleefully. "You never mentioned anything in your letters! Spill the beans! Now!"

The French-English girl grinned at Scarlett's attempt at a not-really-but-kinda joke. "I am," she coached, "an ignorant English person - most adjectives go after the noun, but not all of them - who - that's 'who' - does not know - I dunno how to explain it but negatives are kinda confusing at first - French. I am an ignorant English person who does not know French."

"Wait, you're gay?" Cassie echoed Charles before deciding it didn't matter anyway. "Charles, I'm pretty sure there's no such thing as 'gay law'. You're safe for now lol. Although you two should totally be friends." It seemed, however, that the creation of 'Cheno' had changed something in Charles, who was- joking with Scarlett?! Cassie watched with an expression rather like a proud parent.

When Charles returned this time he was bearing chocolate biscuits which Cassie ripped into gleefully. "Thank you very much," she grinned through a mouthful of chocolate. "I think I forgive you for the French." She took a swig of her drink. "Ooh; Appletizer goes surprisingly well with chocolate."

And then the bottle landed on her. To Cassie's delight, she saw that the spinner was none other than the girl Scarlett had pronounced 'cute'. Without waiting for the girl to come to her, Cassie bounded over and gave her a hug. "Cassie Heather McGregor-Martin, but call me Cassie 'cos I have two first names nobody can be bothered to say both of them, including me," she gabbled. It was always best to get the confusing names thing out of the way first. "Hey, what's your opinions on Scarlett?" Yup, right in there. Cassie was nothing if not nosy.

Moderation Post - Round 4

The group was down to only eight remaining players.

Scarlet Salvatore spun the bottle, watching it spin around until it eventually slowed down to point towards Earl Gray, who had previously kissed her. Would they kiss again?

Charles Alluring and Scarlett Aden would find themselves paired up after the former spun the bottle to land on the latter.

Autumn Ivy and Amelia Faye found themselves paired up... again? How? Who knows but it happened.

Serena Bowen spun the bottle. This time, the bottle pointed towards Cassie Heather McGregor-Martin, one of the visiting students from Beauxbatons.

The mood around the campfire was a little more relaxed now, the number of other students still taking part in the game was down by about half compared to how many were around at the start, with some already back at the cabins. Scarlet was starting to feel tired herself now and wondered what time it was, with the excitement of the game, she hadn't really thought of it till then.

It was again her turn to spin the bottle, it slowed and eventually stopped, pointing at Earl. "Talk about coincidence," Scarlet said, laughing a little, she wouldn't be surprised if it was some kind of enchanted bottle, bewitched to give the most interesting outcomes.

Scarlet got up from the blanket, she knew for the last time that evening, and made her way to where Earl was still sitting. "Not that I didn't like the kiss," she said when she got closer to him, "actually the opposite, and I want to keep it that way, on the cheek this time?" she asked, unsure as to whether he'd want any kind of kiss again.

If he allowed it, Scarlet would give Earl a quick kiss on the cheek before standing to leave the campfire, "I'm calling it a night for me, see you guys later," she said directing a friendly wave towards Vivian and Earl once again. She then started to make her way back towards the cabins, grabbing a bottle of juice to have later.

There's barely anyone left now, Cassie mused as she looked around the circle. Well, it wasn't really a circle any more, was it? More of a... squiggle. Yeah, a squiggle. There was Cassie and Charles and Scar sharing a blanket, and then there were five others, all except one girls. Poor Charlie. Cassie Heather internally sniggered. And poor herself, probably, but the Beauxbatons girl wasn't here for romance. She was here to laugh at everyone else, and to hug people. Platonically, of course.

A spin landed on her and Cassie grinned at the girl who'd spun it. Hadn't she hugged her already? Well, that didn't matter. Cassie couldn't be bothered to get up, so she bum-shuffled over to where the blonde was sitting, probably staining her PJs in the process. "We meet again!" she smiled. "Hug?" Whether the other girl agreed or not, Cassie would give her one before shuffling back to her spot between Scarlett and Charles.

Which was when she noticed that the bottle was pointing at Scar. "Yes! Who spun?" she asked eagerly... and then she saw Charles' face. Cassie just managed to pick up her jaw before it landed on the floor, and then burst out laughing. "Oh- my- gosh-" she spluttered. "This is priceless! Charlie, I dare you to do the hand-kiss thing. Or hug! You guys should totally hug. Platonically, o' course. Here, I'll join in if you want! Group hug!" And before either of the two could voice any objections, Cassie reached over and put an arm around both of them.
