New friendship PV Austin Finch Finished

Verla had helped Austin to the wing after he seemed to pass out in the forest. Ollie felt that this boy was trouble, and he knew it. Though Verla, for some reason, didn't seem nervous when he held her hand, though she was a bit scared. She said it would be fine if he could take a picture of Ollie. She loved her new friend. She could tell he was special somehow.

Maybe some day I'll tell him how I'm different from the rest. "We should tell the head master that those kids were out when they shouldn't have. I wonder what they were doing." Verla said to him as she sat next to him by his bed. They hadn't figured out what had happened, but Verla just guessed it was shock.

"Hey Austin?" she said nervously. Ollie looked at her in disapproval of what she was going to do, or say. She waited for him to have her attention. When he looked at her she smiled sweetly and happily. The first time in a long while. Though she still worried if he was okay or not. If she found out he wasn't, then she'd never forgive herself. She'd be hurt.

...Darkness.
All Austin could see was darkness.
He just suddenly woke up on a bed in the hospital wing with Verla sitting beside the bed.

There was also a nurse on the other side looking at him, checking if he's concsious again or not.

"Ah- he's awake!" The nurse seemed to be very relieved as she said those words.

Austin blinks for a bit, clearing his vision more and notices Verla trying to grab his attention.

Austin looks at Verla and smiled at him. He didn't really see who helped him but he was guessing it was Verla because of how good of a friend she was.

"Hello- Verla. T-thank you for helping me to the Hospital wing." Austin says to Verla while holding her hands. "You really are a good friend. In fact, just your presence in this room has made me feel better. The fact that I know that there's always going to be someone who'll always be there on my side."

This was the first time Austin was ever lended help on the many situations he needed it. Sure, he was friendly and surely will have a friend who'll always be there for him, but just because you have a friendly personality, doesn't mean you have a lot of friends. So yeah, Austin was a lonely one, and Verla being there for him meant a lot to him.

The nurse gets medication and puts it in a cup. "Drink this," the nurse says as he hands out Austin the cup. "As soon as you drink it, you'll be feeling better in an hour or so. I suggest your friend to stay with you during that one hour."

Austin drinks the medicine and surely didn't like the taste of it. It tasted like rotten eggs. He thinks, 'Oh boy, I hope this really heals me.'

Austin looks at Verla, he didn't want to bother her anymore. "Verla, if you want to, you can just go back to the dormitory. I see Ollie is getting kind of tired." Austin says upon seeing Ollie laying on the bottom of the bed Austin was laying on.

"Maybe you can report the students to Professor Lear. I don't know what to do, actually." Austin whispers at Verla.

Verla shook her head "Forget it, I'm staying here with you" she gripped his hands back. "And you're welcome, for bringing you here I mean." She didn't want to come off as rude. She liked him, and she felt something tingle in her stomach. What is this? She wondered. She began to eat a cookie as she sat back in her chair but still smiled while lost in her own thoughts about him. She loved being with Austin.

He was funny, and had the same interest as her. She wanted to get to know him more, though she knew she had plenty of time to do so.

Austin had taken something, and he had a disgusted look on his face. She giggled as he cringed his face "The nurse here knows how to make some pretty strong but really gross stuff." She giggled again, it was funny. He was funny.

She shook her legs nervously and hummed as she looked any where but near Austin, though she didn't know why. Maybe she didn't want him to suspect anything  about her. She shivered and got an idea. "If I show you something, do you promise not to freak out? Please?" She asked.

Austin listens clearly to Verla. "Sure, I mean, if it's about you, I'm totally fine." Austin says to Verla, smiling. Austin didn't exactly know what Verla would show to him, but he didn't actually want to say no to Verla. He thinks that Verla wouldn't show nothing too weird, and if she did, it would be fine for him.

"I mean, how can I reject such an offer from my only best friend here at Hogwarts?" Austin says, trying to make her feel more comfortable on showing what ever she's going to show to him.

Austin was actually pretty curious. Verla was acting weird from the start, but that doesn't subtract from the fact that she's such a good friend.

Austin looked at Verla, and he thought that she looked worried. "Look, Verla, I'll accept you whatever it is you'll show to me, you're my best friend!" Austin tried to calm Verla more by saying those words.

To him, Verla was a really good friend, and he'll do anything to keep Verla from going.

He lost a friend once, for family reasons. His friend's family had to go somewhere, and his friend promised that he would return, but sadly, his friend didn't. His name was Oliver. Oliver James. Austin didn't want to lose another friend, and if it's accepting Verla  and what she is that he needs to do to keep her from going, he'll do it.

Some stuff were repeated, but written differently, lol, I wanted to pass the 200 words minimum rule.

Verla was super happy to hear such words from Austin. It made her feel better about herself. And when he said sure, she showed him her hand and made a little fire ball appear. She made it hover in her palm, then made it a bit bigger and made a picture of Austin appear.

She hoped this wouldn't freak him out, he was her best friend after all. Then she made it disappear and awaited his words. She was nervous, and so was Ollie. She didn't want her new friend to be afraid of her, much less tell anyone. But she trusted him, just as he trusted her. Then all of a sudden a memory came to her about her parents, and she looked down with a sad face. She worked so hard not to cry, it was a silly reason too, but ever since her parents sent her an owl that they didn't want her, anything she though about her parents made her want to cry.

"I hope it doesn't scare you, I've learned to control it, I just found out about it not that long ago that I had such power. Please don't freak out, or tell anyone."

"Freak out?" Austin says in disbelief. "Sure I'm freaking out! That power of yours is awesome! There's literally no reason for you to hide that to your friends.. Except for trust reasons I guess.. some people might really freak out on your awesome power."

"Oh well, people are like that." Austin rolls his eyes as he says. "Don't worry, Verla, I'll make sure your little secret is going to be only between us."

"Verla, just to let you know, I'm always here for you. If you want to tell me something, tell it, I would accept you, whoever or whatever you are, as long as you don't kill me." Austin chuckles as he said those words.

"Anyway, I think an hour has passed." Austin says, as he looks out the window, it was already getting dark. "We must report these students, if we want them to be safe." Austin insists. "And if I knew someone we could talk to about that.. It would be Professor-" Austin pauses as he thinks. "Professor Solomon Lear!" Austin almost shouted when he said those words. He could've sworn a nurse shushed him in there.

"Uh- Miss, can we go now? I'm feeling fine already, I also believe an hour has already passed." Austin eagerly asks a nurse.

"Ah- Yes- it is. Be careful out there, try not to get yourself in trouble again." She says as the two best friends walk out of the hospital wing.

This was a friendship. A friendship that couldn't be broken. A friendship that would surely last forever.
Surely.

Yes, here can be the last. We could go to the lake next maybe? Or into the forest.
