Nikita lay on the top bunk, lazily twirling her hair around her finger as she watched Matt speak to Levi. Matt seemed to speak only to hurt, to tease, to bother. Every single thing he said led to something else, and quiet frankly, Nikita found it amusing. Matt sure knew how to use his words.
But, he also made him self sound like a creep. "Ew, you sound like a creep you weirdo... She said, pulling a face. Apparently Levi thought so, too. So that they had in common. Then, Matt began talking about a girl. A girl.
"From the ball?" She asked out loud. Was Levi like that? Jumping from one girl to the next if one doesn't work out? "wait so after we... 'separated'... you went to another girl? " She asked, slightly offended though she didn't know why.
Speaking of not knowing why, Nikita frowned as Matt spoke some more and wondered if he ever shuts up. " Gosh, do you ever shut up? I mean, all you do it talk and talk and talk and try and bring others done so you can feel so cool and special... let me tell you something, you're not special. Mummy might of said everyone is special but done believe that. Okay? Okay. She spoke, not even sure she would get to him. This boy clearly seems to think he's doing something important- annoying people.

"I don't think either of us were talking to you," Mathias commented. "Tad creepy you just listening in," he added. "But during all this time where I never shut up, I did listen. Where did you get the idea he went to another girl?" Maybe he did, he most certainly, likely did. Levi never said that unless his mention, no mention was the wrong word... confirmation that he knew Winnie, Mathias' future ex wife, was enough to muster a sense of jealousy in the girl. Maybe Levi liked butch women, which he might, would explain a bit. Nikki was by far more manly than Mathias was.
"But I am saying, I don't think my friend," did he just say that? Yes he did. "Is interested in you. I mean, how could he?" He paused for a moment, a moment for it to sink in. The fact that she was not special, the very lack of specialness that she had just indicated Pride lacked was merely a projection of her limitations and insecurities. "Look at you. Now, look at him... He is a pocket man sure but look at that kissable little face. I would know... I have been there."
A shit-eating grin would eclipse his face as he made a last query. "Have you?" -- Been there that is -- If he was the betting sort he would say probably not. No, most certainly not. Not that he thought Levi was into boys, Mathias was pretty sure Levi was straight not that Mathias found himself particularly interested in either in terms of physical yearnings, but he was young and he had time. Mathias was pretty sure he could accommodate either for the right cost.
"But no, I am nobody special. But I am the one laying down next to your... if he ever was your... man," was he about to start a fight over Levi? Bitch, yes. "Having a perfectly fine conversation while you orbit us, attracted by our gravity," he would lean forward but not away from Levi. He had a dirty plan, the sort that Levi would hate. Levi really did not care for much of what Matt did. The foreign girl who was fixated on Levi seemed like the bull-headed sort that would very quickly devolve to blows, it was within expectations actually. In front of Mr. Browne, leader of the teddy bear house, Hufflepuff. It would not last more than a few seconds if she tried to pummel him and he had a perfectly fine meat shield to hide behind. yes, he would shamelessly hide behind Levi and use his scrawny form to protect himself from his ex's (if he could call her that) brutish strength,

Nikita squinted her eyes at Matt. "I don't think I care." She said, frowning just slightly as she did not like his tone. "I don't believe you. You? Listen? If you listened to any one you wouldn't be this much of an åsna ass. She said, growing angrier by the minute. Choosing not to answer is question, because she was embarrassed she got the wrong idea, she merely looked on at him without flinching.
She squirmed uncomfortably as Matt said Levi was not interested in her. How could he? How indeed. She was just the girl with remarkable strength. The girl who freaked out and abandoned him. The girl who had let him leave. Right. There was nothing about her to like. "Oh wouldn't call him your friend..." She said, grasping for a come back. "The only way you could get a friend was if it was by force. Like a potion or something." She hastily said. Was it a good comeback? No. Not at all.
She was getting more angry, more uncomfortable, more jealous. It was true. They were different. He was perfect, she was angry. Matt had kissed Levi before, and Nikita hadn't. What Matt said was true. Nikita failed to find her words. "I- well-" her blood began to boil and that's when it happened again.
She grabbed the railing and swung off of it, kicking Matt in the face. If he dodged, she would act as if she hadn't meant to hit him. If she kicked him, she would flip her hair. Wow, petty. "no I have not been there."
What happened next? She regrets it. Out of pure spite, and only spite, maybe a bit of jealousy, she walked forward and leaned in to kiss Levi. Up to you if he dodgesYes, a mean and tough girl like her could like someone. And maybe she did. Levi, you're in for a wild ride.

Welcome to the Dragon Cabin
"Open to interactions"
Joseph stepped out onto the grounds, plopping down his heavy trunk. The gentle summer breeze whipped his kilt around his legs. He traced the landscape with his eyes, taking in all the sights around him. In the distance he saw cabins, some sort of structure who's purpose alluded even Joseph's imagination, and areas that appeared to be setups for campfires. Joseph hefted up his trunk, and began walking in the direction of the cabins. He felt that if he were going to find someone to help him, that's where it would be. As he approached he found a little notice board with a roll of parchment tacked to it, except with no tack. He glanced at what was a long list of names with what was apparently cabin assignments, and began scanning it top to bottom. He read through the first few A's. Then skimmed through "Be's" and "Ca's" and finally came to his entry: Darin, Joseph - Dragon.
JD began walking to each cabin, and checking its title. The third cabin he came to, had a sign pinned to the door that read "NO PARTY POOPERS ALLOWED". This made Joseph laugh. As he looked that the cabin's entrance, he noticed the cabin's flag flapping back and forth revealing to Joseph that he had finally found his destination. Joseph lugged his trunk to the front door, opened it, and dragged his feet inside. Joseph felt the initial impression was quite stunning. He closely admired the twisting design of the dragons carved into the wood of the furniture and general structure of this cabin. As Joseph regarded the cabin's interior, he began tapping his foot to music that was echoing through the cabin's common room. JD looked over to what looked like a bar. There was a man standing behind it in some typical beach attire with a lay around his neck and sunglasses hiding his eyes. The man was making drinks for two others sitting at the bar.
"They're serving alcohol here?" JD thought to himself with great surprise. JD knew that his parents wouldn't approve, but his uncle Frederick had snuck him some on more than one occasion. Given that JD's family was prone to frequent partying on the farm, he felt this was perfectly acceptable. JD approached the bar, first inquiring about an available bed in the cabin. After one was pointed out, and JD stowed his trunk away, he made his way back to the bar and found a place on an empty stool. "Think I'll have a twisted mango somethen if ya have one. And put the extra vodka." JD sat with a cheeky smile. He was already enjoying his time away from the farm. This was going to be a blast.

An invisible tether kept Levi fused to Mathias and Nova, not of devotion or glamour, nothing so raw and ill as to be scribbled incoherently in a romance novel. If he were to reach out he could feel it, metallic, cold, and adamantine, with the same potent strength as love but on the burning end of the spectrum. There was no transfer of doting energy, just a draining wire, tube between the two where what Levi stole from Natalie, he lost to Percematt. Parasitic tethers, a willing death because somewhere, buried beneath the paralyzing terror and discomfort that contorted the lion’s visage, there was fun. Joy. An adrenaline rush, a certain whispered destiny, like fulfillment. As filling as love, but not so beautiful. What fit it?
Oh. Hatred.
At the copper-haired boy’s assertion that he was indeed a creep, Levi raised an eyebrow but challenged him no further. He had plenty idea what was beneath the hood: it took a specific breed of human to beam as someone—something—squirmed on a reddened branch, be dazzled by the prospect of gore, to let your eyes roll back and dwell in the tingling image of perforation and life being uprooted. To brush your lips against another you felt nothing for, someone not even deserving of your loathing (toss that out of your head, boy), to choose their hill to die on with a lonesome prior meeting. And it took one to know one. The brunet couldn’t make an argument that wouldn’t deepen his own grave and get dirt in his mouth.
In perfect imitation of a creep, Percematt would take in the scent of Levi again, who would lean away but not fully move from his spot leaning against the bed. It seemed Nevaeh also shared in the unpleasant aura of a stalker’s early scent. Shame Percematt didn’t go through more trouble to hide it beneath a fleshy seam. “It must be such a new aroma for you.” He’d quip lazily, not bothering to put much thought into it. Really, it was a rather dear cologne; one his father had passed down to him that came from some place that remained unnamed and trifling, outside of the heavy trunk that housed it until this morning.
Once the conversation settled around Winnie and her loose heartstrings, the gorgeous brute of a girl became more heavily involved. There was a misplaced ache to her rising voice, something the brunet wasn’t quite prepared to handle, remaining quiet to allow the two to debate as he pondered his response. A smirk formed on his lips, vague yet blissful satisfaction with having been worth the inward battle over a night of short dances and laced drinks. Ultimately it was Nina that let that relationship go, with her accusations of abnormality and fading into the blackness of the night as only another dot in the many stars. He didn’t plan on letting her forget that. “You fell back, I was hurt.” Tone surprisingly dead on, his hand was pinching his leg out of sight.
“In some places,” Levi fiddled with his knuckles before looking to meet the familiar eyes of Percematt, “that’s considered a crime.” In response to his not taking no for an answer. “Be wary, I’m pretty sure this is one of those.” Percematt would then go on a tangent of self-praise and pandering, throwing in seemingly random remarks and details for reasons Levi couldn’t pinpoint. “You clearly think so, the flirt you are. Did you know I play guitar?” Levi remained amiable in inflection only with his replies, playing at an angle not so obvious. He ignored the comment about the beauty sitting with them. “A few things. I bet there’ll be a hell of an event about a week from now. Strawberries are fine.”
A warning. A tell. Meant just for the ears of Percematt, damn those that were nearby to overhear. He needed to know that Levi wasn’t incapable of following the convoluted string of limbs and serrated thicket that came from the root of their contempt. To Natasha, maybe it was just a bluff.
Somewhere along the pathway, the conversation had gone on to less depend on Levi’s input, the boy being rendered a passerby to what was perhaps the strangest catfight ever to churn before him. The Lorax and the Corpse Bride began to carry on a battle all their own, where his name was tossed around a few times, but felt less of an explanation and more of an excuse for the duo to begin to claw at each other. Aversion and apathy were a paroxysmal cocktail they’d left on the eye far too long, that fateful night in May, an evening during which Nyla looked much sweeter than she did now, in this light, this flaring, nagging light.
"But no, I am nobody special. But I am the one laying down next to your... if he ever was your... man," Ouch. Levi blinked, glancing at the tree boy with a blank and idiotic expression, at a loss for words. Were they… fighting over him? Was he supposed to enjoy it this much given Player One was his defined nemesis?
It was then that Percematt pushed too hard against Nicky’s exterior, which was only as solid as any twelve-year-old girl could craft despite her dour muscular physique. She swung her legs over the bed viciously [not specifying if she hit Matt], and the Gryffindor boy swore a verbal battle was about to become physical. Hazel eyes flickered between the two, comparing their vastly different bodies, then deciding he may need to get out of there; however, before he was able to move, those tethers came back into play, and the girl rushed him. Their lips connected, a messy and inexperienced kiss that ended as abruptly as it began, leaving Levi with a widened gape that did not quite glimmer in astonishment.

Welcome to the Dragon Cabin
A foot to the face. Where was Mathias supposed to go? The wall? Into Levi's noodle arms? The sole of the meaty girl's foot would impact his gorgeous face. An angry, red mark would immediately form on Mathias' pale skin that would quickly turn into a bruise. His teeth would slam down on his tongue, cutting his kissing appendage and a trickle of blood would escape the corner of his mouth. His lower lip would slam against his feet, splitting his lower lip also as his head snapped backwards.
"Ow" he complained out loud, a mouthful of crimson would spill over his split lip onto Levi's bedlinen. There was the hint of a scarlet-laced smile. A hand to his mouth to cover the wound, to stymie the bleeding, to poorly hide the bruise - there were more than enough reasons for the 'act.' "Hell you have issues!" He verbally rebuked her loud enough for anyone in the room to overhear as he brushed past her, shoulder checking as she went in for that forced kiss on Levi to mark her territory with her lips. Again, where was he going to go? The wall? Mathias' manly but blood-covered arms?
It was going to plan, even the assault. There was no way that he could possibly know exactly what she would do but she expected a blow, the bloody show this put on was simply a bonus. He expected jealousy. He expected that she would want what someone else had once it was waved in her face. That she would take claim, forcefully if necessary. That she would now believe that she had won, but Levi would know better because Mathias was not wrong -he did not want her there but the girl would be insistent, at least for a time until she got the confidence and dignity to leave him. The indifference and cruelty he would show to bring her to that conclusion would MAR her future loyalty, friendship and she might even become Levi's enemy.
This was Anticipated.
This was Wanted.
"You're welcome Drakos," he muttered as the blood slipped between his fingers like a horror scene. He was going to need a towel, tissues, a bag of ice. He would make no attempt to fight the brute of a girl, she needed to treat Levi like a salt lick. He would approach one of the only adults nearby, Caradoc Browne the Head of House of House Hufflepuff who was playing bartender. So whilst a violently obsessive girl staked their claim on Drakos, a tool to keep Levi in line until he wanted to make use of one of his favorite playthings, he would move on.
It was worth a few bruises and a mouthful of copper.
A trail of blood, simple splotches that escaped from between his fingers would mark the trail from Levi's bed to the counter Caradoc stood behind. There were students making their order - little alcoholics in the making as they enjoyed their umbrellaed juices. Once there at the counter Mathias would remove his hand from his face, revealing a blood-stained jaw with a continued stream of scarlet that ran from the corner of his mouth. His lower lip slightly swollen already and the cut down the center of his lip had already stopped bleeding. The skin under the blood was slightly darkened already, his pale skin would be the type to bruise easily. His blood stained hand would rest on the table 'inadvertently' leaving a handprint when he later pulled it away.
"Mr. Browne? I-- I please need ice?"
The plan from here was simple - a visible injury, victimized by the larger girl from another school who was trying to remove Levi's face with her lips. Could not miss the girl. Between the two of them, Mathias got off easier. The trail of blood that was certainly intentional would lead back to their (yes, their) bed. Surely the old man was not going to want to see a pair of kids making out on the first day in a bunk but here was that deviant Levi doing just that. Witnesses, causal observers, all there. Mathias had a wealth of proof and now an instance of victimhood witnessed by an adult to create a necessary narrative for future consumption.
Thanks doll, you are the best.

"No vodka for you, kid." Doc winked at the newcomer before mixing a little something and shoving it in front of the new arrival. "But the mango's pretty good, I hear." He winked again and leaned onto the counter. "You look new, kid. Are you set for your first year or something?" There was little else to assume, so Doc already figured he'd hit the mark there. The Head of Hufflepuff's smile would slowly fade, however, as soon as his gaze set on a sight behind the young kid.
"What on earth happened to you, kid?" Doc crossed both arms as he stood behind the counter. His eyes would snap towards the room that led towards the beds. If anyone else had followed the kid inside, he'd have waved them over. Regardless, he addressed Matthias. "Did another kid do this?" He stepped forward and came around the room to check out the boy's face.
"Nothing a little..." He snapped his fingers. "...Episkey can't fix." He spoke as he cast the spell onto the student's head. The boy's wound would instantly start healing whilst Caradoc held a towel out in front of him. "What's your name, buddy? You're not in my house, I think. My guess would be one of Jensen's students. But I'm afraid I have a bad head for remembering names."

"What on earth happened to you, kid?"
"Girl beat me up," Mathias muttered sheepishly. That was the look wasn't it? The boy that got pushed around. the boy that would eventually push back and when he did he could point at all these previous instances where he was left bloodied in front of a staff member.
"Did another kid do this?"
"More like a lady Hercules," he chuckled half heartedly. "I just need some ice, he would peel his bloodied hand away from his face to reveal a split lip being the major source of the bleed. Perhaps a bit tongue also spilling over. His lip was swollen, a slight bruise was already forming along his pale jawline. Thin boy, easy bleeder, pale skin. Injuries show up fast on these sorts.
"Nothing a little..."
"...Episkey can't fix."
He would gratefully take the towel, smiling a bit as he did so. "Thank you sir," yes polite like a 'good' kid.
"What's your name, buddy? You're not in my house, I think. My guess would be one of Jensen's students. But I'm afraid I have a bad head for remembering names."
"Mathias Pride," he replied as he dabbed the towel on his face. The towel would be bloodstained rather quickly in his hands. "Miss Jensen is real great," he was rather certain he was one of her favorites because he did not misbehave in front of her. he at least had the courtesy to wait until she had left the room. "Afraid she has her hands full with my dorm," he added as he finished cleaning his face. "Thank you sir," he repeated for nervous effect. "I will try not to cause you much trouble this summer," he lied. He definitely lied.
"I owe you sir," he lied again. He felt no debt but there was value in what he would offer more to himself than to the adult. "If you need anything from me I will do the best I can to help." A helpful scamp he was. there was nothing a child could offer an adult except insight. Insight into the workings of children, their social structure and their dynamic. While knowledgeable, bestowing the knowledge was oddly beneficial - it told him what interests the staff have developed. He was no Legillimens but he was clever in his own ways and he was weaving an expansive, detailed web.
But for now he had another role to play. That of a hyper, excited youth that was enjoying a summer at camp. Towel still in hand he would run off, back to the room he had vacated. He would toss the bloody towel at Levi and continue to unpack his trunk.
This was going to be a good summer.

Welcome to the Dragon Cabin
It's ok. I know my cabin. The dragon one. "Cool." I've always loved dragons. And, when I walk in -that is to say now- to this bungalow, it's love at first sight.
I admire the wooden armchairs and chairs. I touch one of the tables that are arranged in the room. Then I enter the dormitory. There also it is the blow of heart.
The double bunk beds look so comfortable. I choose a free one, and I put my bag next to it. I lie down on the bed, close my eyes, then smile. Finally. I take my things out of my travel bag, and start to put them on the shelves next to my bed. I took a bed that was not high. I don't like the height.
A large album falls on the floor. I pick it up and open it. There are pictures of me, when I was two years old, surrounded by my parents. I sigh thinking about that time, when my parents were not divorced. When my father didn't know my mother was a witch, when I didn't fall off the cliff. I snap the book shut and continue to tidy up.
When I'm done, I walk out of the cabin. And I promise myself that I will try to make the most of this summer camp.
