Ve woke up to a girl walking twords her, "You have a lovely eagle, Bates was it?" the girl asked her and Ve nodded sitting up causing Bates to tumble off her chest and make an angry squack, Ve just chuckled. She looked at the girl and patted the spot next to her, "Have a seat. I don't bite." She said. She was honestly surprised that this person was even talking to her, most people ignore her, she isn't bullied on account of what happened last time she was. "So what is your name, i'm Vecrow but call me Ve" She said as she looked down, all the sudden she heard a little 'hi'. She looked back up and smiled and waved.

She looked at Bates who was pouting, and grinned scratching under his beak, hearing a low purring like sound coming from him. He looked at her and flew to her shoulder as she continued to scratch him. She looked across the lake and sighed standing. She was a Nature and Fire Mage in her family, She did a strange motion with her hands and her tattoo glowed. In Irish the got tattoo's to hold there power, Ve's was a snake with runes on it. She summoned fire in her hand and shaped it to look like the girl and showed it to her, with a smile. In the other hand she made on out of leaves and handed it to her with a smile.

Sarafina watched as Verla introduced herself to the other girl. She went over too.
“Hey. I’m Sarafina, but you can call me Fina. It’s nice to meet you Ve.” She stood astonished as the girl made Verla out of fire and leaves, handing the leaves to her. Maybe she had found someone else like them... “how...” she started but wasn’t able to finish. She decided to show her. She herself made Bates the eagle out of fire and showed it to the Ve. Maybe she would understand. Hopefully she could help them. “I was so scared when I saw that I could do this,” Sarafina admitted to the girl. “You seem to know what it is. Can you help us with it?” She asked. Her eyes sparked with hope. Maybe she had found someone else like them! Maybe they could figure it out. She felt herself getting excited and nervous. There was a fluttering in her stomach that she knew meant she was extremely nervous about it. She felt the wind pick up slightly, but didn’t think much of it. So...she went over what she knew. The girl was fire and nature, Verla was fire and water it seemed, and she was fire and....she didn’t know what. Maybe just fire. She felt there was something else though...something that was all around her that she was missing.

Ve looked at Fina as she asked, “You seem to know what it is. Can you help us with it?” Ve looked at her for a few seconds then smiled, "Sure lass, what about it do you need help with?" Ve was actually taken aback she was never asked for help. Bates flew over to the girls shoulder and landed on it. "Are ya sure your the only one with a mages power?" she said to fina looking at the other girl and back to fina. She chuckled lightly and dug out a really dusty book out of her bag and blew on it. "Haven't used this in a while." she mumbled. She opened the book to a page with strange symbols, the page labeled fire. Ve nodded and put a bookmark in that bag and shut the book, handing it to fina. "Use this book, if you want to amplify your 'powers', but If you need to learn about your powers and control I help." she said, "I also suggest you look more into it, its quite interesting" she whispered. She knew these girls where powerful, she just figured they didn't. She walked up closer to the lake and sat down feet touching the water, and Bates still perched on Fina shoulders. Ve looked across the water and remember her family's farm, maybe one day they could go with her to practice there magic.

Verla quickly grabbed the book and scanned every page. When they both looked at her funny, she closed it, blushed and said "thanks love. I need to figure out where these things came from, is it permanent? I think Fina and I could use help controlling it and seeing how far each one can go" Verla looked at Bates and crouched down, placing the book next to her. She extended a hand toward him, though she kept her distance, to show she mean't no harm.

Verla needed to figure out what was wrong with her. This book could have everything she needed to discover the truth, and she needed to tell her new found sister somewhere. "Fina, did I tell you I have a sister? I just found out that she was, I'd never known her as a kid besides one picture, I don't remember her though from that day it was taken." Fina looked shocked and shook her head. Verla looked back at Bates, showing kindness in her eyes. Oliver jumped out and went under her hand "Ollie! You little-" he giggled and hopped back on her shoulder. She hoped the eagle would trust her, she'd never seen one before.

Ve watched as Verla grabbed the book and flipped though the pages, "thanks love. I need to figure out where these things came from, is it permanent? I think Fina and I could use help controlling it and seeing how far each one can go" she said as she blushed, Ve nodded and chuckled smiling. "If you want I can help you control it, and as for is the change permanent..." she looked at Verla sadly, "I believe it is." she said. She scratched her head, "but if you want I can ask to see, my mom might know a thing or two about this." she said thinking.

Bates noticed Verla as she grow closer to him, he stayed calm sensing no threat from this girl. He jumped, flapping his wings in surprise as Oliver popped out, he tilted his head sideways. He calmed down and flew up to her an tickled he nose, he soon stopped and landed onto her shoulder, laying down and closed his eyes, "He trusts ya." Ve said to her smiling walking over away from the lake towards her. She walked over and took Verla's hand and placed on Bates head, he made a purring sound. He liked both these girls, and wanted to help and the only way he knew how was to make them happy.

Verla giggled as she pet Bates gently on the head with one of her fingers, Then she felt like a little girl. She didn't care though, she was glad Bates trusted her. He seemed like a good companion to have, Ve was extremely lucky to have him. He seemed like a good bird too, and a good hunter. Oliver wasn't a good hunter, he was a good trouble maker.
She thought of something and she sat criss-cross where she kneeled and read eagerly from the book and she continued to pet Bates with her finger on his head gently. She found the source, the reasons. She found all the answers to her questions. Finally, something that could help her get her own parents back, and with Lilith too. She copied down most of the book and sent it in an owl to her parents, maybe if they saw it could be contained, they would accept her and Lilith again. She didn't get her hopes up though. Oliver played on Bates and pretended to ride him like he was riding a horse. It made Verla giggle as she picked him up and put her bowtruckle on her shoulder, he began to pout.

Ve smiled at the sight of Bates and Verla, she let out a quite sigh and looked out to the forest. She walked over to the nearest tree and climbed up to the top sitting on the highest branch she could, looking over at the school. She used her magic to rise her higher. She always loved the felling of the breeze it made her feel free, like she had her own kind of wings allowing her to fly, without a broom of course. She had always wondered what was it like, To not be tied down by gravity. She laughed at that thought, and sat down on the branch.

She allowed her eyes to close as she felt calm and at peace. She noted all of the sounds around her, all the animals. She looked down at the ground and smiled at Bates as Verla lullied him into sleep. She wondered if the other two girls have experanced this kind of peace. 'They might of if they aren't afraid of being so high' she smiled at that. She watched as Verla sent an owl into the air, 'wonder what she wrote about' she thought, but quickly dissmised the thought out of her head. 'If Verla wanted to talk about it she would have already' she thought to her self. She isn't one to bother other people about there personal lives. She turned hear head back to the view in front of her and closed her eyes.

Sarafina watched them silently. She was thinking. She saw Verla flip through the book and then copy it down. She thought that she was probably sending it to her parents. Bates seemed to like Verla. Ve went up and climbed another tree, leaving Sarafina and Verla on the grass. She turned towards her friend.
“So? What do you think. Is it going to help?” She asked Verla, smiling a hopeful smile. She hoped it did. They both needed that more than ever. Almost all of them so far had at least two elements. All three of them had fire. Nature didn’t seem to be for Sarafina, and neither did water. Maybe...air? She didn’t know. Maybe she only had fire. There were a lot of maybes. She didn’t like that. She needed to figure it out. Figure herself out. Then she could feel a little more relaxed. She tried not to eat her hopes up, but it was really hard. She needed to believe in something right now; needed to think there was a chance she could be something. She wanted to make a difference, but before she could do that she had to come to peace with who she was. What she was.

Fina

"I hope it does" she replied to Fina. "I miss my parents, I hope this helps them understand that I'm not in danger. I found out I have a sister Fina! And she's just like me! Apparently our parents wanted a normal child, so when they thought I was normal, they never told me about her. I wish they had though, and now my mom is pregnant again, so my sibling may never know who I am. But she's right, me and my sister are a danger to them, we can't be there. It doesn't mean it doesn't hurt any less." She replied as she watched Ve climb a tree and start flying a bit. She couldn't imagine how she felt up there, she wished she could feel that.
Oliver snuggled next to Bates as they slept, and Verla decided to draw them, and she drew them to the very last detail. She smiled slightly at her accomplishment and she got up and walked to the end of the dock, she dipped her bare legs in the water and swished it around with her toes, making ripples in the water, and she watched the ripples, and entered her own world.

Sarafina listened to Verla's reply, hoping Verla felt a little better. "I hope it does," Verla said to Fina. "I miss my parents, I hope this helps them understand that I'm not in danger. I found out I have a sister Fina! And she's just like me! Apparently our parents wanted a normal child, so when they thought I was normal, they never told me about her. It doesn't mean it doesn't hurt any less."
Sarafina sighed. "Once you learn how to control it you won't be a danger to them. I only wish I could help you. It's cool that you have a sister. Maybe one day you'll meet her. Do your parents still have her? It seems she might be able to help if they do. If you could find some way of contacting her." Fina hoped that if she didn't, then one day Verla would get to meet her sister. Who knows, maybe her sister is at Hogwarts and they'll run into each other. She wished the best for Verla, and hoped her parents would think deeply about any choices they have to make affecting Verla. It made her angry people would just give up their children like that. Then again, that is what happened to her...
