Summer Camp Truth or Dare Group 6 Closed

Once it was her turn to choose again between truth or dare, Lydia chose truth, not feeling "brave" enough to choose dare. It wasn't that she was scared, she just wasn't too sure what kind of dares the other students might ask, so truth felt like the safest option between the two. Once the new round arrived, she got the name Klara, and she needed to think of a truth to ask her. As she looked around, hoping to find the girl soon, Lydia started going over the possible questions that she might ask her, and once she did, she approached the girl with a small smile. "Hi, Klara right?" she asked, just to be sure, "I'm the one that needs to give you a truth so... If you could be invisible, what is the first thing you would do?" she asked, thinking that if someone would have asked her that truth, she would have had fun trying to find an answer for that.

Then her attention was caught by someone calling her name; she turned towards the direction that the voice came from, and Lydia waved towards the girl. She listened closely to her question, only to have her cheeks slightly redden up. "Oh, well..." she started, trying to think about which one of the male professors was the most attractive. It was a difficult question, since she had never properly thought about it, so she tried her best to find the truest answer she could put together. Of the professors that were at Hogwarts in that moment, maybe Professor MacTavish was the most attractive, but if she had to consider also those that had left the school, then Lydia already knew her answer, and since Bloom didn't specify whether they needed to be currently in Hogwarts or not, Lydia decided to go with it. She didn't know why, but Lydia had always had a lot of admiration towards the old Charms Professor, and she always wanted to do well in his class. Maybe it was the way in which he explained things, how she felt like his words inspired her to do better, she wasn't sure, but she knew that when he had left the school, the young Hufflepuff had felt sad about losing one of her favourite professors. "I think... Professor Vernatis was the most attractive," she said as her cheeks reddened up even more.

Giving a dare to @Glen Pope: a young girl approached Glen with a huge grin on her face as though she was going to ask him something really cheeky. She dared him to cut open one of the bean bags, allowing the form beans to spill out whilst he ran around the area singing a winter song called 'Fun in the Snow'. If he did not know it, the girl would sing it for him to demonstrate. Alternatively, he could sing any snow-themed song he did know.

Lydia's answer was one that many may agree with. Out of all the professor's here in Hogwarts, the old Charm's Professor was deemed to be one of the most attractive. Now thinking about it, there were many professors that moved on from Hogwarts, especially with the four full years Bloom had attended the school.

Of course, keeping the entirety of excitement with the answer to Lydia's question, Bloom's lips changed to a large smile. "You're so right! I wonder why Professor Vernatis left. He was definitely a good looker," she joked, thinking about Charms class. She never did his homework or even the classwork assigned. She kind of regretted for not going into her Charms studies now that she thought about it. Maybe this year would be different.

Bloom looked around trying to see if anyone would be coming up to her for her dare. They were given pieces of papers, but no one really knew who was supposed to go up to them for each round. Bloom waited patiently, seeing everyone else give and be given their dare or truth. She went to sit on a bean bag chair that was nearby, hoping that someone would come up to her to give her the dare she had asked for.

Little did she know, however, that it was going to be the beanbag that would have been torn to shreds by Glen.

Receiving his dare Glen would blink at the girl. Cut open one of the bean bags? Alright, okay, but “What did bean bags ever do to you?”. There was a most likely undeserved note of incredulity in his voice.

Well. A dare was a dare.

Glen walked toward the closest bean bag he could see but before he reached it, Bloom, who had been closer sat down on it. And he wasn't about to kick Bloom off her chair, so he swerved to the side to go look for another bean bag. Luckily there were quite many bean bags around, so he did not have to look particularly far.

In lieu of not carrying scissors – why would he – Glen used a well placed Diffindo to cut open the bean bag. Grabbing the opened bean bag – handling it was kind of awkward – Glen took a rallying breath before beginning to belting out the song while running around not unlike a headless chicken.

He tried his best, but it was a bit difficult to see anything while carrying the bag around, and if he ended up tripping over someone's leg … at least he landed softly. Bean bags for the win! (Even half empty ones.) He would awkwardly apologize, jump back up and finish his dare.

She gave given her truth when she saw someone approach her. A boy who looked quite a bit younger, perhaps a younger year appeared. She did not recognise him by name but he had been around during the game. Smiling at him, she responded with a 'hey' as he arrived. He gave her a truth. One related to books, apparently. It was an interesting question but, admittedly, quite a hard one for her.

Reading was not really something she did for pleasure. Serena read books for school, sure but even then, barely. She preferred to focus on practical experience when it came to learning. However, on occasion, she would be required to read a textbook now and then. Her favourite quote... would that be from one of the textbooks she had read? Nothing came to mind specifically. "Honestly, I don't really read so... I'm not sure... Let me think about it..." Serena would say as she pondered the answer a little more.

Nonetheless, she was not sure what else would be the answer. Perhaps something from Quidditch Through the Ages. She paused in thought. Something did come to mind after a few moments, "Levitation is commonplace, but our ancestors were not content with hovering five feet from the ground. They wanted more. They wanted to fly like birds, but without the inconvenience of growing feathers." Serena said after some moments.

She paused for a second before explaining where the quote was from and why she liked it. "It's from Quidditch through the Ages. I must have read it a dozen times. Probably one of the few books I have read. It's not really a book of 'good quotes' per se but I really like the idea that people did not settle for what was common. They did not rely on being an animagi that could fly or levitate or something. They wanted more, so they invented more. And that invention is something that is so useful, so simple, so well used. Brooms are used commonly now, and even kids can use them. It's... kind of cool, you know? Like... they invented something that would carry on and provide use to the rest of the world, long after they've gone, you know?" Serena explained her logic behind liking this random few words from the book about how the flying broomstick was created and why it was made.

In a weird way... it inspired her. She had lived on broomsticks so much as a Quidditch player in the past. The idea of inventing them was super cool to her.

Last Moderation

Some stuff happened. It was either good or bad. Funny or not. Embarrassing or not. It might have made some people annoyed, others happy. Who knows? Well, the participants of the event know - far better than anyone else would. They were, after all, the ones who felt those emotions (or not).

The players were a lot more chill, mostly sticking to truths or just mingling among each other. Honestly, it seemed to be more about just having a bit of fun - rather than doing anything else. Nonetheless, there could have been some awkward moments.

They had pulled their truth or dares from the goblet, relishing in the joy of annoying and embarrassing each other - or just having some fun, really. As the day carried on, they likely realised that... they could just give each other their truth or dares, without waiting for the goblet. It was a perfect chance to ask someone if they were brave enough to answer a question truthfully in front of everyone or do something they were dared to do. Not everyone would want to step up to the challenge though - running away was definitely a viable option.

Would they continue to give each other dares until someone gave up or was it enough for the day? Either way, this might be a good time to get a little bit of revenge if someone bothered you throughout the day or made you do something embarrassing!
