Dear Dakota,

I hope the unpacking wasn't to much if a drag for you but at least you got some sleep eventually. I got to sleep the 1st but all day the and and 3rd I been so busy, I couldn't even read or do the summer assignments for classes next year.

My father has been keeping my brother and I busy with preparing for his wedding and other tasks for the three of us to complete. Not much really, there actually sort of dull but he's trying I guess.

I'm sorry about your sister, she sounds like a handful but also sorry of like my twin. Do you guys share a room? We use to that was until before she... anyway is your books safe now? She spent throw it in the creek, right?

My days alright, I didn't need to unpack since we will be moving towns and houses in a few days after the wedding so. The days before I spent with my brother and father which was different since usually my father is working at the ministry all days, for weeks during the summer holiday.

I am currently not in Liverpool however, my father thought it would be good if I stayed with my future step mother and step siblings fit a few days since Arthur is cramming for his auror examinations and Father is looking for Anna. No luck yet.

Anyway that's all here, how are you when you receive this? Also the owl that delivered this is a barn owl and my older brothers, her name is Sandy. She's friendly just don't touch her wings, she doesn't appreciate it and don't feed her anything unless its fresh corn. Brothers rules.

Dear Henry,

Well, it wasn’t much, just tiring after the train ride and going to eat and my grandparents wanting us all to stay up for a bit with them. I didn’t mind it honestly, normally I struggle to sleep so it was a welcomed change. Honestly I haven’t done many of my assignments either, my siblings keep wanting me to do something so everytime I try to start I have to put it back on pause. That being said, I guess I don’t mind it too much.
Well, I’m glad you’ve been keeping busy, even if it sounds a bit boring to me. But it’s good that he’s trying, and you’re brother and you can spend some time together. I on the other hand have just been dragged around trying to pack to go to America. Or the occasional “let’s drag Dakota around the house by her feet”.
It’s fine, Lynn has always been (the devils child) like this. Shes a complete handful and even grandma wants to give her a smack on the back of the head. But no, we don’t share a room. I don’t think I could stand five minutes in the same room as he lets alone a whole night. The book is fine though, she didn’t doubt I’d throw her in the creek after it if she did that.
I’m glad you’re day was going well though, I had to unpack to wash my clothes and clear out my duffel bag to carry my clothes. I still have that one and another bag to pack for the upcoming trip. I’m glad you got to spend time with your father and brother as well.
That’s also quite interesting. Is it a new place for you? Well, whatever place you’re in currently I’m sure it’s lovely. I’m also guessing Arthur is your brother? How’s all that study cramming going for him? Also, try to keep your head up, sadly Anna worn just appear out to thin air but keeping positive and keeping your hope up might.
I’m doing alright. Mel has retired to his room for the night. Travis, well, Nixey, who is currently fronting, is outside finishing up cleaning the kitchen before going to bed as well. Lynn’s been asleep for awhile or st least locked up in her room for awhile. Also, noted, Sandy will get plenty of fresh corn when I’m at the farm.

Dear Dakota,

Your at your grandparents? How's the trip or visit with them? I hope it isn't to tiring and we have two months to complete the assignments anyway.

Your going to American? When? Are you visiting your fathers grandparents? Are you going to learn any new tales or legends from them or more about your origins?

You sister sounds like a handful, she doesn't sound like you guys are close at all. At least the books safe through, you wouldn't have actually thrown her in? Would you?

Is Travis and Mel your other brothers? Whose Nixley? How is your brothers? Are you enjoying spending the summer with them?

I'm back in Liverpool for today, tomorrow is the wedding. Tomorrow is the day that I get a step mother and step siblings so next time I write I will have a larger family.

My brother; Arthur is good. He's cramming for his auror examinations but he also is doing good and will probably pass. Sandy is his and he has a few rules when it comes to using her for post and sending letters. He's a bit over protective of her at times.

I know Anna won't appear our of thin air but since the start of the summer holiday all father has been considered about is finding Anna and his wedding. Not that I complaining, I want him to find her and be happy I guess. It's just he said things would be different this time and there So the next time then we write I'll have five new siblings... can't wait...

Also real quick, the great horned owl delivering the letter is Apollo's (my father) and is delivering because Arthur is using Sandy so... just be careful with Apollo and try not to touch his legs or ruffle his feathers. He bites.

Dear Henry,

I’m currently at my grandparents on my moms side. So, her parents home. This is basically where I’ve lived ever since my dad passed away. Basically I spent seven years in this home. Also, I’m sure I’ll get around to the assignments just..not now.
Yes! I am going to America. My dad use to live there and so his parents do. I’ll be staying with my dads parents out in Broken Bow Oklahoma and I leave the thirteenth. Maybe I will though, I’m sure I’ll find a few things if we clean up the attic.
She’s..well, Lynn is alright. I’m definitely not as close to her as I am with Travis and Mel. Maybe it’s just she annoys me that we’re not or the fact that she’s so different than me. I might’ve, it depends, I’ve shoved my brothers into lakes before as well as my cousins.
Travis and Mel are my brothers, I’m sure I could find a decent photo of the four of us somewhere in the house. Nixey is one of Travis’s fronts, she deals with the panic he experiences. Travis and Mel are doing alright and I am enjoying my summer with them.
Are you enjoying being back there? I hope you enjoy the wedding and your new family. It sounds exciting to me but I’ve never been put into that situation.
Ha! I understand of being overprotective of animals. When I was four there was a older dog that climbed down into the ditch by my grandparents home in Broken Bow and I climbed down after it, in flipflops, before climbing back up. She totally could’ve gotten out herself but my little brain didn’t comprehend that. I also wish Arther luck on his exams! Even though I don’t entirely know what a auror is.
Don’t put too much worry into it Henry. I’m sure he’ll start to settle down a bit more after the wedding. After all, having five new people in your family, it takes a lot of your attention. Plus remember the rose.
I’ll definitely remember that as well. Maybe I should start taking notes on the owls your family has.

Attached to the back of the parchment paper that had been written on sits a clear photo. Two girls sit in the front, one clearly being a younger Dakota with chubby cheeks and sparkling blue eyes, wearing a dress that’s a pale blue with white flowers on it, looking a round five. Holding her sits clearly the oldest of the bunch in a black and green flannel with blue jeans, looking around twelve, a boy with golden-brown hair tied into a ponytail and deep hazel eyes peering softly ahead of himself. The next little girl, presumably Lynn, who sports a short sleeved deep red shirt that has colorful flowers along the chest and black jeans, looking only around four and seems much slimmer than Dakota, her black hair tied back and her hazel eyes gleaming. Now, holding Lynn would be the other boy, having been dress in a grey dress shirt paired with slacks, looking around eleven, having chopped short black hair and the same sparkling blue eyes as Dakota.

Dear Dakota,

Enjoy your grandparents then and have fun at your fathers parents house! Let me know you find anything else of your Cherokee roots! I'll love to know more about you and your history. I can even returner the information some time and tell you some of my own family history.

Let me know if you want help doing the summer work, I done it last year and classes just seem to be easy for me.

Your siblings sound fun. Your brothers; Travis and Mel sounds like their close to you, it must be hard to leave them for the school year. Your sister sounds like the poplar opposite of you, it's hard to imagine really. Also the photo you sent is bloody amazing, your brothers look so much like you and does your older brother still have a ponytail? And little you is co cute with chubby cheeks...

Was the dog safe? Did he get out? The one you followed in flipflops? Is he still alive? What was his name?

The wedding was alright, I guess. We left this morning to American, I attached the address below and my stepmum got me and the older ones muggle phones for some reason, the number for it is attached below as well just in case you would like to call or have access to a phone as well.

American will be strange and Loki is staying in England with his new feline sister, it will be weird to not be with with me.

I do remember the rose, thank you. I'm just worried especially now with everything about SCAR. I guess I'm just getting worried and shouldn't imagine the worse right?

It was nice writing this and I look forward to your next letter! Also we will have to worry h muggle post now, since I won't have access to shy owls for a while but those notes will definitely be helpful... only two owls however.

I also attached a old photo of my family before this summer, I'll try to get photos of my step siblings to send them in my next letter for you.

Dear Dakota,

Your response isn't to late, I'm only glad that the letter arrived at the right address and how fast muggle mail is. I imagined it would be slower, odd?

Have fun at your grandparents house and good luck with searching the attic hopefully you find something and let me know when you do.

That's sweet that your so close with your brothers, you'll always have someone to rely on and hang out with. Kind of reminds me how close I am with my brother; Arthur. From what you told me, Lynn sounds like the polar opposite of you. Wow. That's hard to imagine. Do you think she's a witch to? Do your brothers go to Hogwarts?

That's sweet that your brother keeps his hair in a ponytail or bun for your father. That's a sweet way to remember him, but dud something happen to him? You don't have to tell me if you don't want to Dakota.

I'm sorry to hear about Bear. Bailey, sounds adorable. What breed is she? And that's good that she got out, does she still go in that ditch?

I'm in Miami, Florida, United states staying with my stepmum's aunt. My father and her are on their honeymoon so me and the others are staying with her aunt at a beach house which is pretty large and the view is nice. I'll send you a few photos in my next letter so you can see. I'll be here till the 22nd then I fly back and in my new house in godric hollow. You should visit and see the bowtruckles that lives near the forest, I think they would like you.

Loki is find, he's with Arthur and my stepsisters feline. He shouldn't be that bad alone, Arthur tells me often that's he alright but I still miss him, we never been in separate counties or even cities before. Loki is alright through at least that's what Arthur tells me.

SCAR is a squib based organization mainly in the UK. They deal with looking for equality for themselves in the wizarding world in dangerous ways, they were the ones who blew the the train car off the rails in January coming back from the Christmas holiday. People have mixed feelings and thoughts about them, you probably won't experienced anything like that or at least I hope you don't.

Muggle post is definitely faster than I thought, don't shouldn't be that bad. Your photos were lovely as well and the photo of the boy is my elder brother; Arthur. It's from a few years back and he was probably 16 in it. The one with the girl and boy is my twin; Annabeth and me when we were nine I believe. Then the portrait or drawing is of my family before the attack.

Dear Dakota,

Muggle mail isn't that bad, just its interesting how they send it and where you have the put the letter. Also the stamps are a bit strange but its similar to owls minus a few things.

Lucky that you get to be around so many animals. That sounds wicked, enjoy that for me and tell what animals you see while your there. A bull? A actual bull, that's wicked. Who's Josh?

Maybe Mel and Travis also care for you and want to protect you, that could be a reason to. That's a shame that Lynn isn't a witch then again the way you wirte about her maybe it's a good thing. I'm sorry your siblings can't go to Hogwarts with you but friends are your choosen family so your not alone at school.

I'm sorry to hear about your father and if you want you can talk about him, only if you want. That's memorial what's your brother does with his hair for your father, almost like your father still lives in him wanting to keep his hair in a bun.

Still I'm sorry that Bear passed, from the photo you sent he looks like a great dog. Bailey looks cute as well, a puggle almost. She goes into the ditch as well? Woah. I wonder why she won't go into the one behind your mommas house.

Miami is alright, it's hot and there's not much to do besides the beach. How's Oklahoma?

Once your back in Scotland, you should visit me in godric hollow. You'll love it, Dakota and I could even introduce to bowtruckles, the creatures I told you about before. The whole time will be wicked.

I still miss Loki but at least I know he's safe with Arthur and has another feline to keep himself entertained with so that's the good part.

I miss you and I'm glad we have another way I'd communications between us. The background noise didn't bother me, I'm just glad we can hear each other's voices again.

Your questions aren't odd and that's my fault, I should have explained I'm sorry. Squibs are those born into a wizard family without magic. My twin is one and the organization; SCAR is organized by them.

Your photos look lovely as well. I loved the ones of Bear and Bailey. Chip looks so adorable and little Oreo, their all so cute.

The attack is the night my birth mum died, I rather not go into details at least not over a letter or on a muggle phone call. I'll tell try more at Hogwarts through.
