Takes place after their wedding at the Blossom Ball.

Leaving behind the chaos of the Blossom Ball to find peace at the Great Lake with @Haley Rose

The effects of his potion had seemed to fade more and more with each passing moment and as they slowly left him confused, the seconds still ticked by, causing new moments to keep happening - as time does. This left him quite confused, especially when Haley delivered a kiss that was most unexpected.

She then followed him to the dance floor and he brought his arms around her again. His words on top of the table, their friends coming to intervene, the giving up and having their wedding. Just as it all fully was coming back to him, something flew in the air in their direction and he knelt down, pulling Haley down with him. He didn't mean to be abrupt with her but his quick dhampir reflexes prevented them from being hit.

In fact, now it wasn't just the moments of their Blossom Ball wedding that were coming to his realization but the craziness that was around them now. If they were going to enjoy this, it was time to leave all the chaos and fighting behind.

"Come with me," he whispered. It was late and they were truly supposed to remain at one of the two areas of the Ball, which means this could earn them a detention possibly but he didn't care. He wasn't ready for the night to be over and disperse back to their separate Common Rooms, so that meant one had to think of an alternative plan.

Together they walked across the grounds of the Castle and toward the Great Lake. The Great Lake was actually one of his favorite places but he often avoided it. With such an early curfew at Hogwarts and the sun occupying the day, it didn't make for the best conditions for him to be enjoying it.

Perhaps on their short stroll out to the Great Lake, Haley's effects would be wearing off too. Perhaps not. Simon had overheard others talking about the love potion here and there as they exited the Spring Festival area so he now understood why things went down the way they did. He smiled though, glancing at his hand holding hers as they walked, and saw the rings that had now become their unofficial wedding rings. Despite knowing how it all played out, he wasn't about to take his off.

When they got to the Lake, he let go of her hand but only to hold his out to hers as if asking her to dance once more. After all, he had interrupted their dance from earlier and that wasn't very gentleman-like of him. "So will you be changing your name to Haley Rose Kincaid someday in the future?" he smiled to her.

While the effect of the potion on Simon had already worn off, it still had its effect on Haley, for she had started the mistake of taking another sip of the love potion and continued to see the world through rose-coloured glasses. She still felt the euphoria of her wedding to Simon, she still felt like the luckiest girl in the world, but even for her the potion would soon wear off. She stood on the dance floor with her fresh husband and danced while looking at him dreamily. How could she be so lucky? Was among the only things she could think of.

Out of nowhere, she was brought out of her trance when Simon saved them both from a flying object. Realising this, she looked at him again in love and babbled drunkenly with love, "My hero." If Haley could hear herself right now and wasn't affected by a potion, she would possibly throw up from the cheesiness. But at that moment it was the most normal thing in the world to her and as Simon led her off the surface she nodded silently at him and followed him across the Grounds.

They walked in silence towards the lake and with each step Haley seemed to take in the world around her more consciously. She felt the fresh air in her nose and lungs, the sounds of the ball grew quieter the closer they got to the lake and with each step Haley came more back to reality. The potion wore off and in a short time had completely worn off. While she continued to follow Simon in silence, the images came back into her head bit by bit. The love she had openly professed for Simon, the wedding and everything. Had she gone completely mad or what had happened?

Confused, she came to a stop and looked at what seemed to be her now husband. It took her a second to notice his hand and she put hers in his and slowly began to sway back and forth with him. Now that the effect had worn off, Haley didn't react in love to Simon's comment but started giggling and dropped her forehead against his chest and shook her head. Merlin, how could they want to get married at 11 and 12? She cleared her throat briefly and lifted her head again, "Nothing better than that." She joked. They would have more than enough time for that and she hoped Simon wouldn't hold it against her.

"What happened at the ball tonight?" she asked him honestly and hoped he was feeling the same as her, otherwise the situation would become more than just unpleasant.

Enjoying a night under the stars with @Haley Rose

By now he was pretty sure he could put together what happened. After all, he should have known even before he took a sip from anything at all. He had been to the first social function at Halloween time at Hogwarts and knew that there were things put in the food and drinks and yet foolishly he still took a drink there at the Blossom Ball. He had just underwent the fuzzy realization that Haley was probably going through right at this moment.

"What happened? Well, we got dressed up and met near the entrance of the corridor. We made our way through the Courtyard to the Spring Festival area of the Blossom Ball and we ...we had a good time," he said, smiling to her. Oy, the entire school was going to think they were absolutely crazy - potion or not.

Maybe they were going to be 'that couple' from here on out.

No matter, Simon had never put too much thought or worry in the the thoughts of others.

"We talked and we danced and we saw friends," he knew she was waiting for him to get more specific though. The wedding. "And you're unofficially forever mine now."

Unofficial. No, there was no paperwork or legality to back it up, but was it all that unofficial? "Amortentia was in the drinks. Love potion. Apparently the most powerful love potion in existence. It's to cause a powerful infatuation or obsession from the drinker. I remember reading about how it's dangerous because it can't create love - the person only has an obsession over someone. I think, perhaps, ours played out as it had because there was more there to start with than nothing," he paused.

What he was trying to say was not something that would necessarily be new to Haley, but was trying to state that he had feelings for her, even at the young age of twelve. Sometimes boys just didn't know how to word things as important as this.

More and more images came into Haley's head, more and more she could remember and she started to laugh when Simon said they had a good time. A good time was a nice euphemism for all that had happened. If people didn't already think Haley was crazy, they would now, after all, at her far too young age, she had married her boyfriend, who was only twelve by the way. Who would come up with that idea? Two students under Love potion obviously.

But Haley didn't care what others would think about it, soberly considered it was also a funny story that she might tell her children someday. All that mattered was that Simon and Haley had a nice evening together. Despite the love potion and the unexpected wedding. But it wouldn't be Simon and Haley if this evening was a disaster, because it wasn't. They were dancing here under the stars and from the looks of it, neither of them was in any kind of negative mood due to all these events.

Unofficially forever mine now - for a moment Haley looked at Simon in love, was the love potion still having its effect? No, but she still thought his choice of words was sweet and he was still her boyfriend. She grinned sheepishly at him before he began to explain further what had happened. "Love potion, of course." She murmured while still slow dancing with Simon. How ironic that now, under the love potion, the two of them had confessed their love to each other in front of everyone and had decided to tie the knot. Yet Simon had long since cast his spell over her.

"I think you're right. With us, the effect was probably stronger than with two strangers because of our relationship with each other." Haley agreed, still a little lost in her thoughts. She was still reviewing the evening and still trying to focus on Simon but at that moment it was a bit much. At first she didn't notice that Simon had fallen silent, but after a few seconds she noticed the silence between them and looked up at Simon with a smile. "Then I guess you'll never get rid of me." She whispered with a devilish smile. He called it unofficially forever mine and she loved it but Haley doubted Simon would really want to do that to himself let alone make that commitment at 12.

Missing @Haley Rose

He brought her into a twirl as the wind brushed against them, flowing in the same direction as they moved and almost seemed to want to take the lead. That caused some of her red hair to come brush him against his face. "And to think, my Aunt Maggie thought I fancied blondes."

Simon collected the hair and gently brushed it back over her shoulders. The night was growing longer and he knew that these two needed to be getting back into the castle since it was well after curfew but that meant departing. She would have to go to to the Gryffindor Tower and he back to the Hufflepuff area. Sometimes the whole house segregation thing seemed wrong.

He had the entire evening with her but somehow since he was under the effect of the love potion for a good duration of it, it just didn't seem as if they had much time together. "When Summer comes, we're still planning that visit, right? So I can see your new home?" Simon looked to her carefully. It wasn't what he said in words, but it was setting in how he was going to miss her.

That night he would miss her, when the two would depart from one another just after entering through the front Entrance Hall. That summer he would miss her, when she would be at her new home back with her mother and father. And maybe she would go off to the school's Summer Camp and he would continue to miss her. Or maybe he would try to attend.

Haley giggled at his comment, "glad you also like red heads." Haley admitted smiling, that was her luck. What would she do without the boy who so lovingly brushing her hair over her shoulder. Because of her, he could play with her hair all dear long night. She would love to sit with him by the lake on this beautiful night, lean back between his legs and lean against his body and just look up at the night sky and talk about God and the world. But it was past curfew and they should have parted ways long ago. She hated it. Even without the effect of a love potion, she wanted to be near him.

"Of course we will!" Haley replied quickly, surprised at his question. She really wanted to see Simon during the holidays. She wanted to show him her new home, she wanted him to meet her family. She wanted to listen to old records with him, play the piano and just spend free time together. "I'd miss you too much if we didn't." She admitted honestly, looking down at their feet sheepishly.

"I could still spend the whole night here with you." She told him a little lost in thought as she thought again about the scenario at the lake. Just sitting there with him, talking and making memories. The evening was already long but it felt like it had flown by. As if time had sped up and an hour wouldn't last 60 minutes, but only 6 minutes. It sounded silly, but time with Simon always passed too quickly and under the love potion it passed twice as fast again.

But was it really the love potion or just what she felt for this boy anyway? She felt silly with these thoughts, but she couldn't help it. Simon had cast his spell on her from day one and it seemed to get stronger every time. But it wasn't negative, she liked it, even if it made her feel silly.

@Ask and you shall receive, @Haley Rose

"Then let's," he proposed. She mentioned how she could spend the entire night there with him and why not? The two were already out past curfew and risking a detention. "Come over here," he offered, taking her hand and leading her over to a spot with some higher grass. He kept hold of her hand so as he lowered to sit down, so would she and then he laid back, bringing her too along with him so that she was right up against him. "Let's see what stars we can find."

They hadn't learned much about stars in Astronomy yet, as it seemed focus for first years was on the planets, but it could be fun to try and find some of the constellations. Even back home, where Astronomy had always been something that fascinated him, the city lights of London allowed him to only see some of the nearest and brightest. Here though, on the grounds of Hogwarts within the Scottish Highlands, one could see so many.

"The M right there," he pointed up just to the left, "that's Cassiopeia." That was always one of the first that he tried to find, even before some of the classics like The Big Dipper of Orion.

Simon brought his arm around her so the two could be more comfortable and he did begin to softly stroke his hand through her hair. It was nice to have a quiet evening, a quiet evening away from any arguments or fights, cursed food or love potions. And a night where they didn't yet have to say goodbye to each other and go to their separate Common Rooms.

Haley blinked a few times in surprise when Simon said they should just do it. And he was right, it did involve a bit of risk, but that was just what Haley needed. She loved little adventures and a bit of risk. Still a little surprised, she took his hand and followed him silently but smiling. She let him lead her to the ground and leaned against him carefully, fixing her gaze on the clear sky. "Reminds me of our Valentine's Day." Haley giggled softly as she looked out for a starburst.

Quickly, however, her eyes wandered to the boy lying next to her. Dreamily, she looked at him as he gazed up at the starry sky with his eyes. She was torn from her thoughts when Simon suddenly found what he was looking for. She looked at him for a second before turning her gaze back towards the sky. "What M?" asked Haley, giggling as she followed his arm but couldn't find said "M".

Haley snuggled into Simon's embrace as he put his arm around her and closed her eyes as he began to stroke through her hair. She was enjoying this moment so much and wished this evening would never end. She just lay there quietly, smiling contentedly to herself as she reached for Simon's free hand and intertwined his with hers. She looked at their hands, both wearing the ring as they did every day and gentle she stroked the back of his hand with her thumb. "I wish we could do this more often." She spoke softly as her eyes wandered across the sky.

Haley suddenly recognised probably one of the few constellations she knew. "Oh look at that." She spoke but only pointed in that direction with a motion of her head, not wanting to let go of his hand. "That's the Big Dipper and is part of the great bear." Haley knew little about star pictures and that was really the only knowledge she possessed. "The great bear is formed from the seven brightest stars." And that was the end of her knowledge, which would hopefully change over the next few years.

But the star images didn't matter at all, it was the moment that Haley cared so much about. She didn't care if they risked detention or not. Still, she hoped they wouldn't get caught, otherwise the evening would be over for them. But the teachers were so busy with the ball that she was hopeful that they could take advantage of it.

"We should do this during the holidays when you come to visit." The girl suggested, stretching her head back to look at Simon. She smiled softly at him while her eyes were now back on him.

Late nights with @Haley Rose

"And if you find the Big Dipper, you can find the North Star,"
he added, now that she brought up that constellation. He showed her how if you took the handle part of the Big Dipper and followed it in an arch over, you'll arrive at Polaris, the North Star. "Many think that when they're looking for the North Star, they're looking for the brightest star in the sky and that's not true at all," he tossed out that body of knowledge.

She mentioned how they should do this when he came over Summer Holiday to visit her knew home. The dressing up like they had for the Ball? The closeness of their cuddling? The stargazing? It really didn't matter what she meant because he knew he would be game for any of them.

"I'd like that,"
he said, smiling softly as he looked to try and pick up on the green of her eyes through the darkened sky. He then glanced away though because if she was going to do the same, he really didn't need her to see that. His pupils, by nature of a dhampir, got quite large when it was dark at night. It wasn't really THAT unusual but it might just be enough and he never wanted to make her feel unsettled.

"I loved the stars when I was little. Probably from about the age of eight to ten. Aunt Maggie used to say she wanted to move us out somewhere so I could go into the garden and see the stars at night when I couldn't sleep. That would mean leaving South Kensington though and I'd never really want that. I'm glad we stayed."

Haley smiled at him in satisfaction as he agreed to her proposal, her gaze still fixed on him. And as his eyes met hers, he quickly looked away again, as if uncomfortable. With furrowed brows, Haley thought for a moment, her gaze still fixed on Simon, who was now gazing fixedly at the sky. Carefully, she released their intertwined and reached up to the side of his face, returning his gaze to her. She knew that even if Simon refused at first, he would give in to her and eventually let his head fall to the side again. She cupped his face now with both her hands and looked into his eyes, her pupils dancing back and forth and suddenly she suspected she knew why he had averted his gaze.

His pupils were huge and with her thumbs she gently stroked under his eyes and smiled softly. It hurt her a little that Simon was reacting this way towards her, after all, she was her. She was there for him and she didn't care if he was a dhampir or not. He was Simon and she would never back down from him. "Don't hide from me." She spoke in a soft tone now. Her gaze was still directly in his eyes and as she slowly moved a little closer, gently pulling his face towards her, she gently placed her lips on his and closed her eyes. She softly caressed his face with her thumb as she kissed him and could never have let this moment end.

The first kiss after the wedding, at least the first kiss after without them being affected by the love potion and yet it felt more intense than the kiss just a few hours before. As much as she didn't want to part their lips, she did and immediately missed the feeling. She gave him another kiss on his cheek before resting her head on his shoulder.

"You're welcome to join us in the garden anytime to look at the stars." Haley whispered softly and closed her eyes as she rested her free hand on his chest and could feel his heartbeat.
